-The school boasts 500 pupils

-and a lot takes place there.

-Elin met staff and pupils and heard

-of their anticipation for tomorrow.

-to have cameras in the school.

-It's been very interesting.

-I'm a former pupil and started

-teaching here and am headteacher.

-There's a close association between

-myself and Ysgol Maes Garmon.

-I feel privileged to return here

-as its headteacher.

-Did you allow the filming because

-of your close ties with the school?

-Yes, I think that's part of it as

-this is a family-orientated school.

-It's a small school and

-I wanted to share it with others.

-Many of you have had an interesting

-journey since September.

-You've grown and become secondary

-pupils in less than six weeks.

-The cameras were here from October

-to March so it was a long time.

-At the start, we were all ducking

-and hiding from the camera.

-It was unusual

-to be filmed every day.

-Some friends were mischievous

-whilst others were very mature.

-Yes, pupils worked harder than usual

-and nobody spoke in the lessons.

-They did a lot of filming as we

-prepared for our Christmas service.

-It's a busy time

-with choirs and our orchestra.

-At one point, I was conducting

-the orchestra in the church...

-..with a camera on one side

-and photographer on the other...

-..so I couldn't wave my arms

-to conduct but it was interesting.

-At the start, I avoided the camera

-like the plague!

-As time passed,

-I got used to the interviews.

-You'd get up and do your hair

-and make-up every morning.

-No, we didn't do that

-as we never expected the cameras.

-Whenever I didn't wear make-up,

-I'd have to do an interview!

-They also filmed at my home to show

-that teachers are normal people.

-It showed that we had lives

-outside of the school.

-Are you excited about seeing

-the series when it's aired?

-Everyone is excited and

-people are talking about it a lot.

-I'm very nervous about it

-but this is a family school...

-..and I hope that comes across

-on the screen.

-It'll be cool to see our school

-on screens all over Wales.

-I hope they show a school

-from day-to-day, week-to-week...

-..and season-to-season.

-I hope they show us

-as a normal school.

-Was it difficult to find a school

-to be involved in this project?

-It was quite a challenge...

-..as most schools would not want

-any cameras in their schools.

-I think we've been misled

-by the programmes...

-..that have appeared on Channel 4.

-I wanted to show the day-to-day

-runnings of a school.

-We all have an idea of the runnings

-of a school...

-..but we don't know how things

-happen in the classroom.

-A number of the schools

-we approached did refuse.

-This was for a matter of reasons.

-However, Ysgol Maes Garmon

-feels like a family.

-Did the teachers enjoy the cameras?

-I had a great welcome

-from the pupils and the staff.

-Once the children got over

-their nerves...

-..they were quite used

-to seeing the cameras.

-I think they got fed up

-of seeing me.

-Most of the teachers

-were very welcoming.

-A lot of the teachers are being

-judged for their roles.

-I can see why people were nervous.

-Have you edited any bad things

-out of the programme?

-I don't know if I can answer

-that question.

-I filmed from October half-term...

-..until the half-term in February.

-It was a long period of filming.

-It was quite challenging to edit

-the rushes to a series.

-I wanted to show the pressures

-on our schools.

-I'm sure many parents will be

-stunned to see their children.

-starts tomorrow at 8.25pm on S4C.

-Next, it's a happy 25th birthday

-to the Llanelli Wetland Centre.

-David Attenborough opened the site

-in Penclacwydd on 17 April 1991.

-Yesterday, we joined them

-to mark this special milestone.

-The centre was opened 25 years ago

-on an area that was farmland.

-The centre and whole area

-has developed in those 25 years.

-Today, we have a collection of birds

-from all across the world...

-..such as the new cranes.

-The centre and area attracts birds

-as they migrate and many visitors.

-The visitors numbers

-is over 1.5 million.

-That includes

-both the public and schools.

-Yesterday's celebrations were great

-and we welcomed many visitors...

-who came here on the first day.

-through our gates 25 years ago.

-She's been very worried but we're

-all excited to see what will happen.

-I wear very little foundation,

-Saturday was a momentous evening

-for many girls from around Wales.

-It resulted in one of them

-being crowned as Miss Wales.

-Owain Gwynedd jumped at the chance

-to work that evening.

-My producer said, "Owain, will you

-go to Port Talbot on Saturday?"

-"I think I'm busy but what time

-does it finish?" I asked.

-"It's 11.00pm," she said

-but I asked about the item.

-"It's Miss Wales 2016," she said.

-"Hmmm, why not?" I said!

-Since the 1950s, Miss Wales

-has raised millions for charities.

-The former winners include

-Sian Adey-Jones from 1976...

-..Imogen Thomas in 2005

-and Emma Jenkins in 2015.

-How are feeling during

-your last few hours as Miss Wales?

-I'm quite excited but everyone

-keeps asking if I'm feeling sad.

-It's the last thing I'm feeling

-and am excited for the next girl.

-What have been your highlights

-from the past year?

-It's been amazing to travel

-across Wales to meet people...

-..and learn about various charities.

-The highlights have to be going to

-LA, Bulgaria but I can't choose one.

-I had an Access All Areas ticket

-so there was only one place to be.

-Yes, I joined the girls backstage

-with the tongs and fake tan...

-..and enough slap to plaster a wall!

-I won Miss Neath-Port Talbot

-two years ago.

-I'm back again

-and hope to become Miss Wales.

-Everyone's doing their hair

-and make-up and are looking great.

-I'm studying engineering so this

-is something completely different.

-Miss Wales has pushed me

-out of my comfort zone...

-..but I've met some great girls and

-raised a lot of money for charity.

-I'm nervous but that should stop

-after I've changed my clothes.

-to become Miss Wales?

-Someone who's genuine and
