-Earlier today, I took a whistle-stop

-tour to learn all about Brecon.

-Brecon is a historic,

-small, market town.

-It's located in

-the Brecon Beacons National Park.

-The army is stationed nearby, we

-have four churches, a cathedral...

-..and the Plough Welsh chapel.

-The boats and the 35-mile canal are

-one of Brecon's main attractions.

-This section finishes in Abergavenny

-and it continues to Monmouth.

-People can walk along it

-or take a boat.

-The brave few can go on a kayak.

-At weekends, people use it

-in any way they see fit.

-The theatre is opposite the canal

-with great shows and a cinema too.

-We travel a few miles

-north of Brecon...

-..and head deep into

-the Brecon Beacons National Park.

-I've brought you to

-the Llangorse Lake near Brecon...

-..to show you the area's beauty

-and it's an area of conservation.

-This is the largest natural

-lake in South Wales.

-It's thought that a town

-lies under the water.

-There are walking trails...

-..activities with kayaks,

-canoes and pedalos.

-We also have two islands so there's

-enough to entertain the family.

-We've been to the town, canal, lake,

-but is there anywhere else?

-I felt as if I was at home.

-I wanted to be there.

-My team is Madison Genesis.

-It's great to be in that team.

-You can get different types

-..that add a lot of flavour.

-Crack an egg into the mixture...

-..to help to bring the meat

-together.

-Next, we add it to a little device..

-..to shape the burger.

-That's going to feel horrible now.

-We tend to eat curries

-He was making a few deliberate

-mistakes.

-We did a lot of work

-on the one poem.

-I think a lot of my students

-will be at the Eisteddfod.

-I'm judging the groups.

-It's a lot of fun at the Eisteddfod.

-A lot of people think that

-it's very intense...

-..and it can be...

-..but it's also a lot of fun.

-We do laugh a lot.

-It sounds silly but I feel like I'm

-giving the children something.

-I help children of all ages.

-It's a busy time for the choir.

-I know that it's busy

-for all the students.

-I'm looking after the boys choir.

-They are well-behaved.

-The Chelsea Flower Show opens

-We rarely get to preview displays

-shown at the Chelsea Flower Show.

-But recently, Huw met the crew

-who were rehearsing for the event.

-Huw didn't even get a chance to

-admire the flowers and colours.

-We envisage the Chelsea Flower Show

-as a spectacular array of blooms...

-..and certainly not this decrepit

-building behind me in Gloucester.

-But there's a group of people inside

-who are rehearsing tirelessly...

-..on behalf of the

-Olympic Games of the flower world.

-It must be an honour to be a member

-of an exhibition crew for Chelsea.

-It's a massive honour

-and also a shock to be chosen.

-There are many florists in the area

-but being chosen was a great honour.

-Over the past 18 months,

-we've met a dozen times.

-We've designed from scratch

-and created a few displays.

-We've held discussions, made changes

-and decided on the finished article.

-Today is just a taster

-as we bring Chelsea alive for you.

-We don't want to reveal too much

-and want maintain an air of mystery.

-Three counties in South Wales

-were asked to exhibit at Chelsea.

-It's a wonderful honour

-and it comes around in a blue moon.

-The team represents South Wales,

-Herefordshire and Gloucestershire.

-The title is Victorian Revival:

-The Past Returned.

-I'm accustom to working

-in the creative world...

-..and bringing eight personalities

-together is certainly a tough feat.

-Who appointed members

-with their roles?

-Catherine appointed us

-as she is the coordinator.

-She chose those people who were

-necessary for a particular job.

-How did you choose people and how

-difficult was it to control them?

-That's a very interesting question!

-I shall be very tactful

-with how I answer this.

-They have to work as a team

-and that is very important.

-They also have to have

-a basic knowledge of Victoriana...

-..or their styles are able to be

-moulded into a Victorian style.

-I wanted people to do contemporary,

-so that narrows down the field.

-I don't possess any knowledge

-of the horticultural world...

-..but the details that goes into

-this exhibition is unbelievable.

-But how does it all travel

-from Gloucester to Chelsea?

-Everything is dismantled

-and loaded into a van.

-A small group re-assemble it

-before we reach there on Tuesday.

-We re-erect the top

-and work our way downwards.

-The adjudication is on Tuesday

-and continues until the Monday.

-One of the judges is a florist

-and the other is from the RHS.

-They look at the detail

-and ensure every leaf is perfect.

-They also look at

-the idea behind the display.

-It's a week-long show,

-so how do you keep everything fresh?

-In the morning or late in the day,

-we prune and add fresh flowers.

-You have to maintain the standard

-from the first to final day.

-As a result of doing this,

-it upholds the standard.

-Enjoy every second in Chelsea.

-in North Carmarthenshire.

-The annual Caio Enduro motorbike

-race was held over the weekend.

-It was held for a good cause

-and Rhodri Gomer was there for us.

-Cilgawod Farm sits on the

-outskirts of the village of Caio.

-It's the perfect location

-for the Caio Enduro.

-Following months of preparation...

-..viewing these 200 motorbikes in

-the valley is a sight for sore eyes.

-Unfortunately,

-nobody can control the weather!

-I'm sure all the rain will just

-add to the excitement on the course.

-It'll make it more difficult.

-The rain is meant to stop

-so it'll be wet underfoot...

-..but dry for the spectators

-and those doing all the checks.

-It's going to be

-a team effort today.

-The marshals will pull the lads

-out of the mud so it should be fine.

-The course is 25-miles-long and the

-riders need to complete four laps.

-They start in groups of four

-from the yard of Cilgawod Farm.

-It's four laps for the experts...

-..but there's also clubmans,

-sportsman, classics and sidecars.

-The Caio Enduro

-has developed into a great event.

-It's been invited to join

-the British Championships...

-..but Alun and the riders

-prefer to keep it for the locals.

-People travel from afar to compete.

-Yes, I'm from the Gower but

-some come from Scotland and London.

-The event is organized

-by the Dyfed Dirthbike Club.

-Since 2011, the Caio Enduro

-at the aptly named Cilgawod Farm...

-..has raised funds

-for local charities...

-..in memory of Arwyn Rees who died

-in a tragic accident in 2011.

-Arwyn loved his enduros

-and was a clubman rider.

-He lost his life in an accident

-at work and five years ago...

-..we renamed the enduro and raised

-money for the Wales Air Ambulance.

-They have raised over 25,000

-and this year's charity is LATCH.

-Unfortunately, my daughter

-died of cancer last August.

-LATCH was

-absolutely terrific to us.

-For the last 20 weeks of her life,

-she was in intensive care in a coma.

-They gave us accommodation and

-500 towards our food expenses.

-We've purchased in memory of her

-a static caravan in Kiln Park.

-The money raised helps maintain the

-caravan so children have a holiday.

-Family, friends and everyone is

-chipping in at the kitchen today.

-Yes, everyone's here all to support.

-One lap down and one to go

-so how's it going, Cefin?

-It's going well but the rain hasn't

-stopped so it's more difficult.

-The test is very slippery so I'll

-keep going and try not to fall off!

-This section is the test

-that is timed against the clock.

-It's a fantastic spot for those

-who battled the elements to be here.

-The test is the one that counts if

-you want to help your overall time.

-There's water everywhere

-and you'd be better off in a boat!

-I've moved up a class so trying to

-catch the top lads but it's tough.

-It was a memorable day

-despite the rain.
