Hello and welcome to Hogmanay Live - BBC One Scotland's final party of

2011 and the first of 2012! Tonight's show is packed with great

music and songs to help bring in the New Year led, of course, by the

fantastic Phil Cunningham, and the Hogmanay House Band. We'll be going

live to Edinburgh as Mons Meg marks the midnight hour, followed by the

spectacular Hogmanay fireworks. And to make sure that all the family

can come together this New Year, tell your homesick relatives around

What a great start to the night from the Hogmanay house band. Don't

worry, they will be back. We are live, so if you want to send wishes

Heidi Talbot. What a great line-up and what a great crowd we've got

tonight. First up is one of the best young Scottish indie bands

around. In 2011, their debut album created a stir on both sides of the

It is catching up with all your friends and family, having a good

time. It's all about a fresh start to the year. It's about getting

together with everyone. It is for family and friends, people coming

where I live there. That is fairly traditional and then we go to
