CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Good evening and welcome to Strictly

Sunday night's result show. Yes!

They are excited! A huge thank you to our brilliant dancers to r that

incredible performance. Six couples took to the floor to fight for their

place in next week's semi-final. One of our dance duos must leave the

competition tonight. That's right! The judges' scores have been

combined with your votes and the two couples with the lowest points will

compete in the dreaded dance-off later on. Our judges will decide who

to send through to the semi semi-finals. Please welcome our

judges. APPLAUSE.

Also on tonight's show, we have the Saturdays. We will look at the

dances with the judges and Len's Lens. I got dressed before I came

out today. I got some funny looks on the tube. Oh, the swingathon!

It is not nice when you are having your hair spray done and they get it

on your pasta! A few nerves which wouldn't normally be there.

Down here, we have make-up. We are swinging tonight!

My partner is looking fantastic. She's having her face put on. Very,

very serious! Artem is getting rubbed up the right

way. He is excited. I am excited. Are you excited? I hope so! Goodbye!

It is the quarter-finals. Let's party. The audience are in. Have a

look! If we are quiet, they will not notice! Look!

Time for the show! Let's go. Count down to trans transmission...

Five, four, three, two, one, zero. On air. Tonight not only will they

dance a brand new routine, our couples will go head-to-head in the

swingathon. Plenty of tricks!

I am surprised you are still in one piece! You worked so hard this week.

I am so proud. Seriously! You are amazing!

That was just... Too much! One down. One to go. For me, you're

in jeopardy after that dance. To me it went great!

I'm feeling the love, darling. That was good fun. You gave us something

I have not seen before. A sexy 10. A ten!

Get in! The steps were there, but it lacked

mood and atmosphere. You did a great job with that particular music.

Eight. It is all about the swingathon now. We have put the

passion behind us and the energy in front of us.

You will look like a movie star and dance like a goddess. You have been

the biggest surprise of this entire competition.

There's plenty of life... I tell you. Thank you. I enjoyed myself

tonight, thank you. You gave it to me. The intent was there - it was

to the dance floor oh for the Strictly Come Dancing swingathon

sclasmt -- swingathon! It was Susanna who

was the first one to go. I loved the swingathon. I made a few

mistakes, which I am gutted about. It was so much fun. It was great!

Winning tonight's swingathon are Natalie and Artem.

Swingathon! Whoa! What a great night! Pat tick up there. Natalie up

there. At the bottom - oh, Susanna! But, the swingathon really brought

the whole thing to life. Full on, flat out and fabulous!

So, that is how things were looking at the end of Saturday night. All

our couples want to dance in next week's semi-final. Who will be

celebrating and who will be commiserating? I have the results.

In no particular order, the first couple safely through to the

semi-finals are... Sophie and Brendan.

Another first couple who must fight for survival in the dance-off is...

Ashley and Ola. Please come and join me. For the

rest of you, I am afraid, you'll have to wait a little longer to

discover your fate. Oh, I am sorry - we're here again!

Yes! Craig, you said Ashley and Ola's

dance put a smile on your face and their lifts were incredible. Why do

you think they are here? I think it is largely to do with the audience,

to be honest. We are all in agreeance. Everyone in the

competition now - eights, nines and tens. It will be an audience vote, I

think. I can only hope that when you do your dance-off, darling, you did

it like you did, because it was pretty spectacular.

Bruno, you said Ashley's hips needed more lubation. Is there anything

else they can improve on? You came out and you gave everything you had.

When it comes to hip action, sometimes you kind of over-step it.

By doing so, the movement doesn't travel to the body, so it look looks

stifled. In a way you have to control your footwork to allow the

motion to go through your hip and keep it smoother.

Do we have time? We can practise a bit, if you want! At the same time,

don't get tense. What you did was very, very good. Constructive! How

does it feel to be here again? I cannot wait to do the salsa again.

adorable was you, when they said your name, Brendan, he's been here

I feel very emotional. We have all worked very hard to be here. I am

This is when we discuss the details of Saturday night. We cannot do it

alone - that would be ridiculous, wouldn't it! We have to be joined by

Len's Lens. There you are - completely adorable!

That was adorable! I want to talk about dances. I would

like to bring up the swingathon. I know it is hard work for you.

Natalie and Artem won. Why did they? Was it their energy? I think it was

their energy. They kept the whole thing going from bar one right

through to the end. It was full on, flat out and fabulous. It really

was. Also she's obviously just loving it. Look at her face!

She was bouncy all the way through. Her consistency, as Len said, it

went all the way through. Let's talk about Ashley and his hip action. You

mentioned this last week. To me, his hips looked extraordinary. Here is a

clip. Len, tell me, what were you not happy with? I am telling you -

there were certain moments he got his hips going. I may have to stand

up now. Is that a problem? Never for me!

Let's hear it for Len! APPLAUSE

Natural hip action - side to side is not a problem for anyone.

It's this forwards, backwards. Forwards. Now once you make that too

big, if you take your leg too far forward you cannot get your weight

on to your hip. It is the same when you go back. You cannot get your

weight on to your hip. It should have been slightly more compact and

small. That is what Darcy said.

There's no time for it to travel through the legs and go to the hip,

because the next bit comes, so you have to change step. So you have to

- it is too fast. You have to allow it. . It is a club dance. It is

usually on a packed floor. It is tiny. It is close - it is clubby. I

do understand the problem for our pros because they are on a huge

floor. They are trying to give it a dynamic look, so they try and give

it plenty. It should have been slightly more compact. OK. Thank you

very much, Len. Can we talk about Patrick... You gave them a ten. You

said it was like nobody else was on the room. He could not take his eyes

off Anya. It was so intense. I loved it. I got a chance to look into his

world with her. Sometimes they it is too much. In rumba you can't do too

much. Bruno agrees. Can I take to you

about Abbey and Aljaz. You gave them a ten. I absolutely loved it. There

is always something that kind of gets me. It is little things I have

not seen before - it is the change of hold, change of arms. Look at

this sequence. It is beautiful. Never missed the flow of the dance.

It was wonderful. I think this girl has blossomed beyond belief.

It really is beautiful. APPLAUSE

You said that too Craig. It is true. That is why I said it. It is true.

They are wonderful together. Let me talk about Sophie's tango. You loved

it too, but you wanted more v - can you explain? The amount of room

between the chest. They should be connected at the hip area and create

a lot more space between themselves with the top lines. That is all that

was missing. I loved it. I agree with Craig.

Brendan did a fantastic job making a story out of that. They played that

so well. Thank you - the judges! APPLAUSE

you said they gave you something you had not seen before and you gave

them a ten. How surprised are you that they find themselves in this

position? I am horribly shocked they are here. You know, to get lost in a

role only a true professional can get lost and have that ability to be

comfortable enough and get lost in a role. Your focus is Anya was

beautiful. Just your quality as well. I mean, I don't understand - I

don't know what to say, because all you've got to do is what you did on

Saturday night... APPLAUSE

run down there and cuddle you as well. I could see the emotion. Both

of you were in tears. It was tricky, Saturday night. Did you think, right

that is it? Well, actually, I felt so passionate during the dance I was

really sort of saddened that hadn't come through. I was quite looking

forward to getting a bit more passionate in the dance-off. If it

was allowed I would like to go around to every single person's

house who voted and said, thank you personally. Honestly, the public

support getting us through is really, really, really amazing and I

really appreciate it. I really appreciate it! Well done to both of

you! Here you are - you are a

semi-finalist. I didn't realise it would be this intense!

I am so sorry! We never put a warning on the contract. Artem, I

know it was tricky. Did you think maybe Len was not happy? We think

that every week, I think. You just never know!

Must have been scary there. It is pretty intense at this stage. We all

want to keep dancing every week. We are thrilled to make it through to

the semi-final now. Semi-final! Let's all have T-shirts made!

These couples are safe. Ashley and Patrick are about to face the

dance-off and neither want to leave the competition. Here's why.

Strictly has been the most amazing experience of my life. It has been

challenging, physically and mentally. When I started this show I

had no idea I would ever get this far. I have learnt so much. I am

actually loving dancing now. And I don't want to let myself down

now and go out. I really want to stay in this competition.

We are nearing the last stages of the competition. I am not really

ready to go yet. There are more dances I don't know. I would love to

do them. I have loved every minute. It has been really hard work. I

would not have changed it for the world. Fantastic!

APPLAUSE We have seen how much you both want

to stay. Only one of you can make it through to the semi-final. This is

your second time in the dance-off. The dance you did on Saturday, I am

not just saying this, it was so brilliant - is there part of you

that is excited about doing it again? I cannot wait to do it again.

At least I get to do it twice. Whatever happens, happens - I will

enjoy it. How do you feel? Good! He did me proud. I am proud of him this

week. Enormous luck. Please go and get into position.

APPLAUSE It gets so hard at this time because

this is make or break. You were joint top of the leaderboard. Does

that fill you with some confidence before you go into this dance-off?

No. Just do it again and enjoy. Darcey loved how much you were

intimate. Are you very disappointed? I love actually the challenge for

Patrick this week. Like Darcey said, I have never seen that side of him.

It would be amazing to do it again and experience that. Good luck when

you do it. It is an incredibly tense time for our couples. Up first and

Very well done. Well done to both of you. Standing ovations for both

Judges, it is time to decide. We are about to ask each of you the

couple you think deserves to be saved. The couple with the most

votes will stay in the competition. The other couple will be out of

Strictly Come Dancing. In the event of a tie the head judge, Len will

have the final vote. Craig, who are you going to save?

Well, one Couple who had a lot of crowd-pleasing steps, the other has

style, class and a great quality of dance, so I am going with that

couple and that couple is Patrick and Anya.

Congratulations. One vote for you. Darcey, who do you think deserves to

stay in the competition? It is so tough that both the men that are

left in this competition are both in the dance-off. I find that very

frustrating. They both did a better performance tonight as well.

I'll have to go with the one that I felt gave more detail and more

quality and that goes to Patrick and Anya.

Well done - that is two votes to nil. If brun know votes to save you

-- Bruno votes to save you that means you will be in the semi-final.

Who do you want to stay in Strictly Come Dancing? It is so hard. I felt

both of them, I agree with Darcey. They put everything they have into

it. They were both better. It is like splitting hair at this level.

To be honest, I would like to have you both on the semi-final. I have

to go with Patrick and Anya. Congratulations Patrick and Anya.

That means we'll see you next week in the semi-final. Ashley and Ola, I

We are so sorry to see you go! Len, it cannot make any difference

at this stage - do you agree with your fellow judges? I totally

disagree with this verdict. For me, Ashley and Ola should have been

through. But I know that you missed that last lift. However, I am only

judging this one routine. If I had not seen it before I would not have

known there would be a lift there. Plus, the cardinal sin in rumba is

stepping forward on the heel. There is never a heel lead. Unfortunately,

on that last routine that I saw Patrick did many and on that basis,

I would have 100% gone for you. Head judge Len was in your corner.

Have you enjoyed your time? It has been amazing, from meeting the crew

to the make-up to the costumes, to the judges and the contestants. I've

had a fantastic time and of course this lovely lady standing here -

it's been a delight. Almost I will thank my fiance for doing such an

incredible job... You have had a baby since you started this series.

I am coming home! What has been your highlight? The salsa. I felt like we

threw everything apart from the kitchen sink into it. I have enjoyed
