Episode 15 Strictly - It Takes Two

Hello, dance fans. Welcome to Friday's Strictly Come Dancing. On

the show, Ashley and Ola tell me about their saucy Samba. Last week,

the audience were on their feet, Deborah and Robin are here. I am

getting the gossip in Elstree with Natalie and Artem. And if that is

not enough, I am joined by a fabulous Friday panel, McFly's Tom

Fletcher, the presenter, Jenni Falconer and the one and only

Biggins! It is It Takes Two! Fro London, this is Strictly: It

Takes Two. Please, welcome your host, Zoe Ball! Hello and welcome to

Friday's It Takes Two. In 23 hours, 58 minute, our couples are taking to

the floor again. I will be talking to Ashley and Ola and also Craig,

but first, let's remember how they Sambaed their way to success.

You are going to get plenty of love after this dance. You dream boat

from Brazil! Very nice. Just do up the shirt next week. Then I will not

be distracted! The bottom line is you have coped well with a very

difficult dance! Well done. The hip rolls were filth! I loved

it! That Samba was hot, baby. With the chest out, come on! Filth!

Ashley and Ola, everybody! Shirtless shimmy, a great sam bar. It was a

fantastic score. A top score for you. That is becoming a bit of a

habit with you now? I hope it will be. It would be nice.

Do you walk out and think, that is me? Yeah, as when you are doing it

does not feel like that. It is a massive relief. And when the votes

go well... And Ola, stat alert, the Samba has never been done this early

in the competition. When they pulled it from the dance top hat, were you

scared? I was very scared. I was thinking of begging the producers to

change it, but then I thought it would be better to get it over and

done with. Then we can forget about the Samba! I know you are loving the

faith in you, aren't you? Just get it over and done with.

Now they tell me! You wernt out there and you wowed the judges and

audience, but apparently you were not 100% happy about it? I think it

is just when you are rehearsing the dance. You get to a point you think

you can do it. If you don't do it on the night how you think you can, it

is disappointing, but with the scores, it was OK. I felt like I was

chasing myself all the way through! Did you think it had gone wrong? I

thought it was terrible. Thinking it was awful. Then I got the scores, I

realised I had don OK. We don't really know, if you have

gone wrong, we would never know. We know ourselves what the routine

is. What we worked on. If it doesn't happen on the night, then Ashley

gets upset. That is a good thing as he pushes himself to do well, but it

is never going to be as good as the studio.

Yes it is! Yes it is! It will be! I like that.

That is hard for people to understand how different it is, from

when you are doing it the two of you in the training room? It is. Four

walls. It is comfortable doing it in the studio. Then you are dancing in

front of millions of people. There is the band, the singing and people

clapping. He is without his shirt on. He is thinking... I'm getting

nervous now. We have to talk about the fact you

are a new dad, but we have worked out that you, your baby son is not

the only baby around. This is worrying.

Men are like children. You have to do their shoes.

Yes, mummy! # Baby love. Mummy! Dancing with

Ola! Dancing with Ola! I will pretend what you did there. You did

something silly there. I can't do this. How old are you?

31? That is good. That is a good boy.

I'm being really good. Thank you, Miss, can I go home now? You can go

home - to bed! Oh! We to have a laugh. This week it is the Viennese

Waltz. The last time you did the American Smooth. Do you like this

one? I think for me with the slower dances like the waltz and the

American Smooth. It is the music. It is easier to dance to. This song is

emotional. It will is romantic. Let's listen. I will cry now.

I know! Will there be tears? I am dancing with an angel. I've always

wanted one. Now Len loves a feckle. He loves it.

He call it is a feckle? How do you say it? A feckle? I love the way

that Ola says it. You can do it? Yes! Of course he can. He is

amazing. And can I say that me and Mr Z have

been very much enjoying watching. Good luck tomorrow, I'm sure it will

be beautiful, your Viennese Waltz. Ashley and Ola. Next up, Deborah and

Robin's Quickstep lifted them "Higher and Higher" up the

leaderboard, but let's remind ourselves of the weekend story.

I love the pleasure you get from the dancing. It is fabulous. She loves

it. You put a smile on my face, darling. I really enjoyed that.

Your best dance to date, my lovely! I got a seven! I didn't even dream I

would get that. Look what you did! We are a team, we did that together!

And what a team. Please, welcome Deborah and Robin! Get you, lady.

Seven all around and a personal best. How much fun did you have out

there? A bit. Did it look like it? It did. It was so infeck shoes. The

whole nation are egging you on. I did say it was my favourite dance.

I thought I would go out and enjoy myself.

I think that the music, the outfit was stunning and the dancing was

second to none. Fantastic. Robin, you had to wait until the end. I

know that must be a long night. How was it really for you? Were you

terrified? It is hor ible, are seeing who is good, who is not. You

start to zone out. It is a nearly two-hour show. You are waiting, the

adrenaline starts to run down, but when you step on to the dance floor,

you step up again. It es but then I caught sight of my husband, I

thought, go home! Eyes on the job. Praise from the people. Nicola loved

it saying it was brilliant, Deborah. Although there should have been at

least one eight in the score! I like her.

And shock, horror, you made Craig smile! There was a lovely comment.

They were all lovely comments. I was concloud nine at the time. You were

the first to make that happen! Get used to that. We know you get on

well. That is apparent, but in training, sometimes Deborah does not

want you to get too close! Swivel, swivel, tap step. You have issues

when I get too close. I love Robin but he does get close

into my face. You are sitting in there. So you want to be... Very

close! # She's too close for comfort

# Too close, too close... She gets a little shy, bless.

Until we get to here. That is very close! I have made

Deborah blush. We go. You just wait until we get to the

rumba! That is closer than I get to most people at any time! I like it,

you are a proper lady. You do have to get intimate in some smelly

places. There is nothing smelly about Robin.

You had the Quickstep last week, this week it is the Jive? Exactly.

Four really, really fast dances on the trot. Is that fair? Why are we

doing this? You are great at the fast dances.

You must be getting so fit. I am not measuring it, but I am

feeling fit. And I'm bruised. Look at that.

I know, all of you. Let's hear the music. We are excited

about this weekend... # We got to speed it up. Ready for

the reveal. How did you feel when Robin told you you were dancing to

Bucks Fizz? Well, to be honest, I thought no way. He said we would do

the whole skirt. I thought it is not happening. Now, there is a moment.

How did he persuade you? I never said yes to anything. Then I find

myself a week later doing Bucks Fizz with the skirt hanging off.

Have you decided what is going under knead r neath? A bigger skirt!

Robin, I have heard there may be some kind of Barnet? If you are

doing Bucks Fizz, you have to do it properly. That is all I will say.

Watch this space to see it tomorrow. I am excited. You said to some of

our lovely viewers filming you, you were worried that the jive looked

like a Morris dance in places. Without the bells in fairness, but

it did look a bit like a Morris dance. How is it now? Brilliant.

had, shall we say an interesting week this week? It has not been

great. Tell me about your back, what is going on? Well, I m a an actress,

I like to bring the drama to Strictly. It has been a scary week.

On Tuesday my leg was going numb. I was feeling faint. I had throbbing.

I could not lift the leg. It was a frightening few days.

Is this an injury you have had for a while? Is it an existing injury? It

is a weak area. I have had problems in my lower back, but it did feel

different. I tried not to panic too much, but lots of pain killers and

epidurals. So what have the doctors said? I

have had fantastic care. I have been passed from er post. I have a disc

with a tear in the fluid. That is nasty. Then the facet joints are

inflamed, whatever that means. That is never good. That is causing

horrible nerve pain down the legs, but I have had an epidural.

And I am shortly to give birth to a Quickstep on Saturday! Now to all of

your lovely fan, will you be able to dance? Will we see you on the dance

floor tomorrow? I can dance! Thank goodness for that! Artem, have you

you coped with it all? I have had some time off. He has been enjoying

himself! Obviously you love the dance. So it is one of your

favourite routines so far. It would be a shame if something like this

stops her from competing in the competition.

This is the Quickstep. It would be awful.

How much training have you missed? Two-and-a-half days.

How confident are you to give it your best tomorrow night? To be

honest after what I have been through, I am so glad to be here,

not that I don't care how it goes but I'm not worrying too much. I

know it will not be what it should be, but I'm happy to be here. I'm

happy to get to enjoy the dance on Saturday. We will go for it.

You will be amazing. You are dancing to Usher, a jazzy number. Let's have

a listen... There are props as well. Tell me more.

Come on. Prop drop! Don't do that! Don't jinx

yourself! What sort of props are they? We have canes in the routine.

They are named? Sir Michael Cane! I was supposed to take him everywhere

with me to guarantee that nothing would go wrong but obviously we have

had a diversion. You can't take it with you to the MRI! That is

understandable. Really glad you are able to dance. Obviously if you were

not allowed to by the doctors, we would forgive you. Good luck with

the canes. Living to dance another day. Now,

that is the peak around Elstree. Now back to her in the studio! I think

she is OK. Last year, I am talking about me, obviously! Last year we

brought in a menagerie of animals to dictate which celebrities would be

on the leaderboard, but this year we have some magical fun, this is our

predictive pup. Ridiculous! Oh! Indeed. Look forward to finding

Hello, Zoe! Welcome to the glitz. I will start with the ladies first.

How mystical do you think that Lucky the Mutt may be? I like the process.

I think that Deborah is improving. She does the fast dances so well. I

would like to see heroine. She will be chuffed.

Christopher, who are you Bigging Up! ? You have thought about that. I

love Sophie. I think she is fantastic. I saw an interview early

on. She was nervous. I think she is doing so well. She could surprise

us. Tom, we have to say happy

anniversary to McFly, ten years. Fantastic. I watched your wedding

speech on the internet. I was sobbing. If you have not seen it,

watch it, it is amazing. And Harry doing the wedding dance was

beautiful. Trying to sneak in with the YouTube

success. As if Strictly is not enough! Now, let's talk about the

couples. Julien and Janette are doing a salsa to the Spice Girls.

Jenni, do you think that Julien can avoid the dance-off? He has been in

the bottom two twice now? Julien is having fun. I wonder if he is having

fun like you do on a Saturday night with a couple of drinks? What is he

wearing? Little boy shorts? He is a designer, he knows what people

should bewaring! Will I have to wear that? ! He could make it for you!

All of the girls are benefitting from Julien gowns. Abbey... Have you

had one yet? I don't think I could squeeze into one. It is not ideal at

my age! What about the song, Tom. What about the Spice Girls, is it a

winner? I love the Spice Girls. It is great. A great song. A bit of

smoke and mirrors to hide some of his dancing... Very diplomatic of

you. Dave and Karen are doing a waltz to the Eagles. Here they are

in the training room. Christopher, Craig gave him a two. The

journallings are harsh on him. What do you make of him -- judges.

Dave is brilliant. He is funny. This is what I love about the programme.

You have to have a laugh. He gives you a laugh. And his face. He is so

serious, so intent! He really wants to well but he can't! But he is

wonderful. Wonderful. I hope that he goes on for weeks and

weeks. He may well do. Jenni, Len calling

the people's champion, Dave, what do you think is the future? He is

always someone we love and the judges don't, but I think he is good

value. We want someone like that. There are so many brilliant dancers.

He is putting in a good effort. He is.

Doing the same training hours. And it is nice to see him not be as

good as everyone else. Now, Rachel and Pasha. I love this

song, the Boom, Boom. Tom, what do you think? It is very

fast. Look at their feet! Being dragged around slightly there, but a

great song. It will be very quick, energetic. Interesting if they can

keep up. Do you think that Rachel can keep

up? I think she has been amazing. Obviously they get better each week.

It is a good test. Her confidence is growing. Her

second Latin was better than the salsa? I think it is better when she

is taken around the room by her partner. That helps her a lot. It

helps anybody! Deborah says it is easier in hold, you feel more

confident. You feel like they are holding on to

you, you are being lifted together. Can they lift you then? I will do

the programme one year. Is that official? ! Biggins is in!

My partner will be a JC B digger. It will be lovely. Yellow is in! Let's

talk about Sophie and Brendon. She is doing a foxtrot. She has got

Cheek To Cheek. Have you danced to this? No, I haven't, but she is

Ginger Rogers and he is Little Fred. What do you think of this? I think,

oh, that was not so good, but I think she will do it brilliantly.

They got two nines from Darcey and Len, hang on, that is Susanna and

Kevin. It's been a long week! Let's talk about Susanna, she is doing a

Samba, apparently there is an Indiana Jones theme to this.

She is hot. Would you expect so much from a news

girl? I train with her, we have run a marathon together. She is amazing.

She is the Angela Ripon of the day! She kicks off the legs.

Angela did all of that dancing. She has shut you up.

Let's talk about Ali and Aljaz. They were doing a tango to Florence and

the Machine. Tom, will this work? It is ng. It is a passionate song.

It is fierce. Do you like Abbey? They are a great

couple. Very ugly, though? I can hardly bare to watch it! Craig says

she needs more attack. Jenni, is there enough attack in the tango.

I think she will. If they listen to the judges, they will take it on

board. I'm sure she will. She looked good there.

And Anya and Patrick. The judges say he is Mr Style. He styling this one

out for you? He looks great there. With those shoes too. I saw him

earlier, he said he had troubles with the knees, but I think that he

looks awesome. I this it happens with age.

I am getting there. My problem is the eyes. I used to have knees like

that! Who else? Ben, he is doing the salsa, dancing to the Black Crows.

His rumba was good last week. I think he is finding his inner man.

He is coming out to a lot of people in this.

What is it about rugby players. They are always good.

Do you think after the match they get in the shower and do a dance

together? They get in there and swing it about! I think it is just

fabulous what those rugby players do! I really, really do! Mark and he

is dancing to Hammer Time. It is just so good.

He is very entertaining. Jenni, you are looking worried.

I am loving him. My husband has acted with him. He is the nicest man

in the planetment We think he is funny and we all laugh but he is

very light on his feet. I think he could get to the end. I think he is

wonderful. Good technique. Fiona and Anton we

saw them rehearsing. They were doing the rumba. What did you think about

them, Jenni? I love Anton. This is one of Anton's best ever partners.

He is happy. He is loving the year. He is pleased to have a partner

lasting more than one week. Poor man has had a terrible time over ten

years! Has Anton ever won it? Snoo no. I think he came close with

Lesley Garret. That is the music, West life.

Did Harry perform with McFly? No. I don't think he was allowed.

I hope he is well. He is doing very well.

And now Deborah and Robin. They are dancing to bucks if fizz. Do you

think she will win? I think she is amazing. You can see her getting

thinner. By the end, there will be nothing of her. She is light on her

feet. And joyous, she loves it. And quickly, Ashley and Ola. Jenni,

do you like Ashley? Everyone likes Ashley. He is brilliant. Although he

will not be wriggling his hips. Right, who is your winner? Biggins?

Sophie. Jenni? Susanna.

Tom? I would like Deborah to win. We will write them all down. You

have been glorious. Thank you very much.
