Welcome to It Takes Two. It is Hallowe'en. It is Thursday. We have

:00:00.:00:09.

all the training updates for you. Plus, I will hear all about Susanna

:00:10.:00:15.

and Kevin's upcoming charleston. I will find out who rumba tricks we

:00:16.:00:21.

will be treated to on Saturday. Our lovely Darcy Bussell is here.

:00:22.:00:29.

She will talk blood-curdling comments and Christopher Gill will

:00:30.:00:35.

give us a pre-- and Vicky Gill will give us a preview of what will be

:00:36.:00:40.

worn on Saturday night. This is Strictly - It Takes Two.

:00:41.:01:07.

Live, from London, this is Strictly It Takes Two.

:01:08.:01:22.

Please welcome your host, Zoe Ball. Happy Hallowe'en! Hello! Welcome to

:01:23.:01:35.

It Takes Two. Exciting - the witching hour is almost upon us as

:01:36.:01:40.

our celebrities prepare themselves for Saturday. In a moment I will

:01:41.:01:44.

talk to Susanna and Kevin. Before that, let's look at how our

:01:45.:01:48.

celebrities are getting on in training. Be afraid... Be very

:01:49.:01:50.

afraid! We're dancing the charleston. Knees

:01:51.:02:02.

up! Quite fast. There's lots of

:02:03.:02:07.

footwork. She has a lovely technique. The heel swivels are

:02:08.:02:14.

superb. It is telling a story through mime and personality.

:02:15.:02:20.

I'm really loving the dance. The charleston is such fun. It is really

:02:21.:02:26.

kind of cute. It has a lot of personality. And then one, two...

:02:27.:02:32.

Wrong-foot! Sorry! My problem is performing in front of an audience.

:02:33.:02:36.

I can do the dance perfectly if nobody is watching, which defeats

:02:37.:02:41.

the object of the exercise if you are on Strictly Come Dancing. This

:02:42.:02:45.

week I am dancing a tango sismt a passionate dance. It is very strong.

:02:46.:02:50.

The acting and performance side should be good, so long as I get my

:02:51.:02:54.

posture right. You have to learn to turn without doing this. You have to

:02:55.:02:57.

work on the posture to make sure that all the way through Ashley's

:02:58.:03:04.

got a lovely posture. Give me a nice frame. Look at your arms! My biggest

:03:05.:03:10.

concern with the dances seems to be my arms and head. Trying to get my

:03:11.:03:17.

steps... But yes. Don't care, give me the frame. Has to be leading the

:03:18.:03:23.

lady around the floor. That is what I need Ashley to do. We have got to

:03:24.:03:29.

the dance that I so hoped I would be able to do on Strictly - the

:03:30.:03:34.

charleston. It is always such an amazing dance to watch. It is a very

:03:35.:03:40.

fun and cheeky and playful dance. We will be doing some lifts in this

:03:41.:03:44.

charleston. Of course Darcy says just trust in your man. I think she

:03:45.:03:50.

does trust me! She says she trusts me! I am going to make sure she

:03:51.:03:56.

struss me! Clearly what I have to do is change the look on my face. It

:03:57.:04:00.

can be a show-stopper, but there is a lot that can go wrong. I am

:04:01.:04:05.

excited about the charleston, but I am also a little scared of it. It is

:04:06.:04:07.

Susanna and Kevin. Happy Hallowe'en to the two of you.

:04:08.:04:17.

I didn't want to make a fuss. I didn't want to go too over-the-top.

:04:18.:04:23.

It is like sitting with an x-ray. You can see my heart! Your American

:04:24.:04:27.

smooth was amazing last week. Back up into the 30s, in the leaderboard.

:04:28.:04:34.

Did it feel like a goody when you first rehearsed it? Did it feel good

:04:35.:04:39.

on the first three days of rehearsal? Not at all - not for the

:04:40.:04:44.

first three or four days of rehearsal. Right down to the wire.

:04:45.:04:50.

That is why I call her the magician. She pulls it out on a Saturday

:04:51.:04:54.

night! How fearful are you at times that it may not come out of the bag?

:04:55.:05:00.

Constantly fearful. Hallowe'en is 24/7 for me!

:05:01.:05:04.

You should see the look on his face when I forget the steps and it is

:05:05.:05:08.

late on in rehearsal and he gets this look of... You are going to get

:05:09.:05:13.

it right on Saturday, aren't you? Caig kept it -- Craig kept it short

:05:14.:05:20.

and sweet - gorgeous. Did that make you feel googy inside? It could have

:05:21.:05:26.

been the medication. We'll take it! I couldn't believe my ears. Hearing

:05:27.:05:39.

Craig say, "Gorgeous" Only Abbey and Natalie are ahead of you. That must

:05:40.:05:44.

be reassuring to be up there in the heady heights? Abbey and Natalie,

:05:45.:05:49.

beautiful dancers. It is a real privilege. So nice to watch, isn't

:05:50.:05:55.

it? I really enjoyed it. After a great performance on Saturday night,

:05:56.:05:58.

when you go into the training room on a Monday morning, are you still

:05:59.:06:03.

in high spirits, still on a high or do you go, oh, here we go again?

:06:04.:06:11.

Monday is awful. Actually Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and a bit of

:06:12.:06:15.

Thursday is really stressful. I mean, we have, don't get me wrong, a

:06:16.:06:19.

lot of fun, but the dance doesn't take shape until sort of Thursday

:06:20.:06:23.

afternoon. Monday we literally have 45 minutes. So Kevin comes in.

:06:24.:06:26.

Sometimes it has to be said, not in the best of moods!

:06:27.:06:31.

It sounds like Hallowe'en did come early to your training room. There

:06:32.:06:36.

seems to be another reason why though. It is the scare of doom and

:06:37.:06:43.

it goes like. -- stair of doom and it goes like.

:06:44.:06:50.

Beware of the stare! Is it unnevering the way I stare --

:06:51.:06:59.

unnerving the way I stare at you. It gets everywhere. Watch out, it's

:07:00.:07:02.

coming for you! Staring, literally staring at you!

:07:03.:07:16.

No-one is safe, because it 's contagious.

:07:17.:07:22.

Isn't that brilliant? In fact, don't look at me - I am looking away. This

:07:23.:07:30.

week it is the charleston. Susanna Reid, are you loving it? I am loving

:07:31.:07:35.

it. It has fantastic spirit, personality and character and it is

:07:36.:07:40.

just terrific. Things can go terribly wrong. There is something

:07:41.:07:45.

frightening about it as well. Don't talk about it. Did you ever think

:07:46.:07:49.

you might be dancing to Creedance Clearwater Revival on the telly?

:07:50.:07:56.

Does this make your palms sweat a little bit? No. I love it. How will

:07:57.:08:01.

you bring a terrifying element into a charleston? It is an upbeat dance.

:08:02.:08:07.

I will dress up as something scary. I have been growing my facial hair

:08:08.:08:15.

in preparation. Is it Teen Wolf? Feel how thick and hairy it is! You

:08:16.:08:20.

might need a little help on Saturday with it. Good luck to both of you.

:08:21.:08:26.

Susanna and Kevin. APPLAUSE

:08:27.:08:31.

Back to the training rooms now to see some more ghostly goings on.

:08:32.:08:37.

This week Patrick and I were dancing quickstep.

:08:38.:08:46.

Quickstep has lots of quick Steps. There are lots of feet going back,

:08:47.:08:53.

right, forwards. If you don't get the sequence right you need shin

:08:54.:09:01.

pads. He's struggling to pick up the pace. I am shattered. This is the

:09:02.:09:08.

first time that an ya has said it is quick.

:09:09.:09:12.

To be honest with you, it is quite full. I want us back on the top of

:09:13.:09:16.

the leaderboard. I am really excited this week. I am

:09:17.:09:28.

doing a jive. This dance routine will be strenuous. There's no two

:09:29.:09:35.

ways around it. To make it look good you are working everything all the

:09:36.:09:39.

time. It is high-energy. There's no respite. There are lots of steps in

:09:40.:09:44.

a jive. It is fast. There's not much time to think.

:09:45.:09:51.

The fact we're doing it in Hallowe'en week can put your own

:09:52.:09:55.

spin on it. It is not your standard pump jive. We can be different. We

:09:56.:09:58.

can bring our characters out. We're dancing the paso doble. The

:09:59.:10:11.

paso doble - the mat dor - the bullfight. It is the cape. It takes

:10:12.:10:17.

me a bit of getting used to. There'll be drama, lots of stamping

:10:18.:10:24.

feet and drama. We need to make sure he does some acting on the floor.

:10:25.:10:30.

It's more of a like - and that will be my biggest challenge. Every dance

:10:31.:10:38.

is a massive challenge to me. Spot me. Five, six, seven, eight. We put

:10:39.:10:44.

the time in during rehearsals and do it with conviction. Hopefully that

:10:45.:10:48.

will be OK! There we are. That looks good. My

:10:49.:10:54.

next guest brings elegance, beauty and grace to the judging panel. A

:10:55.:10:59.

round of applause, it's Darcy Bussell.

:11:00.:11:03.

Hey foxy lady. And she's made an effort for Hallowe'en. A lovely

:11:04.:11:12.

mask. There you are! Welcome back to It Takes Two. Lovely to be here.

:11:13.:11:16.

Your second year on the judging panel. You have settled in now. Do

:11:17.:11:21.

you feel confident? I am really enjoying it. The nerves are always

:11:22.:11:25.

there with me. I like a bit of nerves actually because it keeps me

:11:26.:11:30.

on my toes. The boys are gorgeous to me. You look like you are having a

:11:31.:11:34.

laugh up there as well. That is important to me. I have to have a

:11:35.:11:38.

laugh. I don't want to make it too seriously. Last week a bit of a

:11:39.:11:42.

dance-off shocker. Deborah and Patrick, obviously in the bottom

:11:43.:11:46.

two. Did they deserve to be in the bottom two? Were you shocked like

:11:47.:11:50.

everybody else? It is horrible. It is always difficult when they are in

:11:51.:11:53.

the middle. Their scoring was getting better. They were getting

:11:54.:11:57.

better. People forget to vote for them, they are like, they are doing

:11:58.:12:02.

fine. And then they were in the danceoff. I wish we had Deborah. I

:12:03.:12:07.

loved her. She was everything that the show was about. She loved every

:12:08.:12:12.

moment of it and enjoyed learning the craft. I love her husband has

:12:13.:12:17.

been secretly learning to dance as well. That is so cute. Does the

:12:18.:12:25.

dance-off make a difference? It is about the dance-off and how they

:12:26.:12:28.

actually pull it off at that moment because if they do make a mistake

:12:29.:12:33.

you cannot hold them, can't keep them. I do fall in love with people

:12:34.:12:38.

and you know how much work they put into it, but it comes down to that

:12:39.:12:42.

last dance. They were on equal par as well. So quick quickly sometimes.

:12:43.:12:49.

Natalie and Artem, they have been given nine for the last few weeks.

:12:50.:12:54.

What do they need to do to get the elusive ten? She's stunning and has

:12:55.:13:00.

so much. Her concentration, she's trying to perfect the technique to

:13:01.:13:03.

such a technique I have not seen her let go and actually fall in love

:13:04.:13:07.

with a dance yet, which is interesting. I think she wants to

:13:08.:13:11.

get it all right for Artem. It is like he has a little voice on her

:13:12.:13:15.

shoulder going, get this right. You can see her ticking. Her

:13:16.:13:19.

concentration. I want her to be free. Let go. Just be a little wild,

:13:20.:13:25.

maybe. Take some risks. You may regret saying that. I love how you

:13:26.:13:29.

give constructive criticism. It is really good for the dancers. Who is

:13:30.:13:33.

really -- who has really listened to you? A lot have taken on so much. I

:13:34.:13:39.

am always actually surprised. I think Ashley has taken on so much

:13:40.:13:43.

because he has, there was a lot of little, kind of little habits he

:13:44.:13:47.

had. You know, you can see the next week he's gone oh, my neck. I've got

:13:48.:13:53.

a neck and I've got shoulders. I need to lift my eye Level Up. So

:13:54.:13:59.

many have taken in so much. They have so much to think about and just

:14:00.:14:06.

remembering the steps that your little corrections. They listen to

:14:07.:14:10.

them. Have you got a funniest performance so far in this series,

:14:11.:14:13.

one that has made you laugh with joy? Well, I coo Ied with joy over

:14:14.:14:22.

-- well I cried with joy over Dave's first cha-cha-cha. It was a classic.

:14:23.:14:26.

It was like he was held in the studio for too long and he was let

:14:27.:14:30.

out like an animal. He was dying to get on the dance floor and show his

:14:31.:14:35.

moves, which were a bit scary. Is it fair he's still in the competition?

:14:36.:14:37.

I think everybody there is there We are going to be dancing the jive.

:14:38.:16:45.

The jive is one of those dances I have been dreading. There is a lot

:16:46.:16:50.

of knee, isn't there? I have spent 35 years crouched over a motorcycle

:16:51.:16:55.

in the rain. Dave is actually doing OK in the

:16:56.:16:59.

jive. He 's got the routine. Excellent! He's got a little bit of

:17:00.:17:05.

a bounce. He cannot point his feet just yet. It is just from here!

:17:06.:17:08.

That's it! I do the best with the balls of my

:17:09.:17:15.

feet I is funny. It is lively. It is an aerobics lesson. It will be bril!

:17:16.:17:23.

The Vienneses waltz is coming a along well. Back to dizziness on

:17:24.:17:32.

some of the steps. There are details like arms and some stuff with the

:17:33.:17:37.

shirt happening. It is another thing to think about. Obviously moving

:17:38.:17:40.

your arm through a count, you have to grab it and still make your arm

:17:41.:17:47.

look pretty. It is very accented in a Viennese waltz. I need to make

:17:48.:17:52.

more light and shade of the song. That's it! Yes! It is challenging to

:17:53.:17:58.

get all of the details right. We still have a few days to rehearse.

:17:59.:18:03.

She has been busy making Saturday's outfits. She's taken time out to see

:18:04.:18:12.

us to give us some secrets, welcome back costume designer Vicky Gill.

:18:13.:18:21.

You got some proper whaos in the house tonight. Can it be hell? It

:18:22.:18:24.

can be hell. At the end of it, when we get to the end of the show, we

:18:25.:18:32.

go, it wasn't so bad, was it? Was it any more busy than other weeks?

:18:33.:18:37.

People go to town on Hallowe'en? It is bigger. It is co-lab rayive from

:18:38.:18:43.

Lisa with the hair. It is everybody pulling together. Because the look

:18:44.:18:47.

goes all the way up. Lisa is head of make-up and she is amazing. Walk

:18:48.:18:55.

with me this way. I made a squeak. It was my shoe, not anything else!

:18:56.:19:06.

This is Ola's tango dress. There is a petrified forest theme or

:19:07.:19:09.

something like that. How did it influence her dress? Traditionally

:19:10.:19:14.

it is red. This week, being Hallowe'en, we have a lot of that

:19:15.:19:18.

going on. I choose another strong colour, being sapphire blue, so we

:19:19.:19:22.

have some strength through the tango. A blue and green combination.

:19:23.:19:28.

Blue and green should never be seen. They are often super stishous. Look

:19:29.:19:39.

at the length! Brilliant. When she spins around it

:19:40.:19:45.

does all this stuff. Similar to Abbey's in terms of volume. This is

:19:46.:19:50.

a similar sort of shape. We will walk this week. Let's walk this

:19:51.:19:55.

week, like this! Susanna is doing a charleston. Kevin

:19:56.:20:02.

gave away there may be a werewolf thing. Susanna gets to wear this. .

:20:03.:20:08.

She has to make sure she creates the werewolf - Lisa. He's doing his

:20:09.:20:14.

best, isn't he! A classic charleston dress, what would that be? For this,

:20:15.:20:20.

for Strictly, in Strictly world. Often the routines are a mix of

:20:21.:20:25.

choreography. We have to deal with lots of movements, whether they are

:20:26.:20:30.

over shoulders, round and about. They do go all over the place. We

:20:31.:20:35.

have a fitted body under, so that we keep everything where it should be.

:20:36.:20:39.

And then the fringe detail gives that charleston vibe and movement.

:20:40.:20:43.

When she moves we get all this crystal detail. Back to the ironing

:20:44.:20:48.

board we go. Let's talk about Iveta. Here and Mark are doing a paso

:20:49.:20:53.

doble. She is dressed as an alien, of course!

:20:54.:20:57.

She has a cat suit, hasn't she? I don't know what it is, if I am

:20:58.:21:01.

honest. We had to create an alien. You don't know what it is. What is

:21:02.:21:07.

an alien - none of us have ever seen them!

:21:08.:21:10.

A beautiful one, that is for sure. Blues and greens again. It is over a

:21:11.:21:15.

nude base, so a lot of crystals. The interesting thing for this one is

:21:16.:21:19.

she's doing paso doble. We have inserted a wing into her right arm.

:21:20.:21:24.

That is her cape, I guess. We have another drape on her bum if she

:21:25.:21:29.

needs more capage. How does Mark fit into the alien scenario? He is the

:21:30.:21:37.

star ship trooper. He is a spaceman. Ground control to major wrong - I

:21:38.:21:41.

love it! Tell me your thinking behind this

:21:42.:21:51.

one. They are Mr And Mr Scarecrow. Of course! We have taken a standard

:21:52.:21:56.

Strictly dress and tried to dumben it down a bit. We cannot do that for

:21:57.:22:03.

Fiona, because she is super glam. And it is Strictly. On Saturday

:22:04.:22:10.

night it will be sparkling. And some frayed edges. How about Anton? Very

:22:11.:22:16.

daper, but frayed at the edges. Like a lot of us - around the edges!

:22:17.:22:21.

Can't wait until Saturday. I think it possibly will be your best work.

:22:22.:22:26.

Vicky Gill, everybody! That is what they will wear. How

:22:27.:22:31.

will they dance? Back to the training room to see the last of our

:22:32.:22:34.

devilish dances. We are doing the paso doble and I am

:22:35.:22:45.

very good at it. It is about attitude, stamping your feet and

:22:46.:22:49.

being this macho stan yard. I am really good at the start of the

:22:50.:22:55.

dance. I am pretty good at the end. A bit between - not so good at the

:22:56.:22:58.

moment. Sorry! But you know, we'll get there. Now

:22:59.:23:04.

you go side ways. The timing and steps, the speed of it, it's a

:23:05.:23:09.

challenge. That is ridiculously fast! I think at the moment probably

:23:10.:23:14.

everything needs work. I just hope people and judges will love it.

:23:15.:23:19.

This week we are dancing a rumba. I am loving the rumba.

:23:20.:23:24.

I thought you were going to drop me then! It is the fast ones that freak

:23:25.:23:30.

me out. You need to make sure that every single step, it is done to its

:23:31.:23:35.

full potential. It is a tricky dance. There are lots of moves in

:23:36.:23:39.

it. I am trying to get the basics in. Hopefully it will evolve.

:23:40.:23:45.

Sorry! I think the biggest obstacle for us is her long legs and arms.

:23:46.:23:51.

Because it is so slow, I think it is easier to pick up on mistakes

:23:52.:23:55.

because it takes longer to do each step, so you have to make sure you

:23:56.:24:00.

do it right. They were the dear darlings of the

:24:01.:24:09.

night on Saturday - a spine-tingling fot trot.

:24:10.:24:12.

-- foxtrot. You clever things. How did you feel

:24:13.:24:19.

before the dance Before you went out to do it? As usual, absolutely

:24:20.:24:27.

terrified, quaking. Aljaz trying to calm me down. What do you do - do

:24:28.:24:35.

you do, do breathing. He does a of weird ear thing. Does it work? No.

:24:36.:24:42.

At least he tries! Someone said you had a bad dress run. Can that affect

:24:43.:24:48.

your performance? It definitely does. Because the dress-run was not

:24:49.:24:54.

as good, she puts more effort in during the life show.

:24:55.:25:00.

I got a fright. You caused a bit of aive between Craig and Len. Craig

:25:01.:25:08.

said about your line and your foot - was he right? Did you know what he

:25:09.:25:11.

was talking about? I don't know about the foot thing he was talking

:25:12.:25:16.

about. I agree about my head. It should have been more out. I like to

:25:17.:25:22.

hear Craig's criticism because it gives me something to work on in the

:25:23.:25:26.

training room on Monday. He is pleased with you. He is like, yes,

:25:27.:25:30.

she's taken it on board. The judges were impressed with your ability to

:25:31.:25:34.

tell a story, with I is wonderful. Is that important to you? Was that

:25:35.:25:38.

important on Saturday night? It is important to Aljaz, therefore it is

:25:39.:25:44.

important to me. Wow! Another point for Clancey. You

:25:45.:25:51.

impressed the judges and you have impressed us. Can you imagine our

:25:52.:25:57.

delight when we witnessed this. Thank you it takes with two. Really!

:25:58.:26:02.

You have a better bum than me. Look at your legs. I don't know if I like

:26:03.:26:06.

you in them because it is freaking me out a bit!

:26:07.:26:16.

At least your make my legs look thinner! Look at you It's not funny

:26:17.:26:27.

and three, four. It is helping me. Honestly, keep

:26:28.:26:33.

them on, I wear! I can see your legs.

:26:34.:26:42.

I I don't think any man can pull off gold leggings. Oh, come on! You had

:26:43.:26:57.

such a good hashtag. You are doing a rumba this week to Shakespeare's

:26:58.:27:02.

Sister. # Stay with me

:27:03.:27:04.

# Will it be haunting? Hopefully in a

:27:05.:27:10.

good way. It is a romantic dance, I would say. It is our last chance to

:27:11.:27:16.

dance together and she gives her life to save me. I thought you were

:27:17.:27:21.

going to say she gives her life for dance. I hope it is not an O men.

:27:22.:27:28.

How are you finding the character of the rumba? You say it is slow and I

:27:29.:27:33.

imagine you two will be good at this. It is good it is in Hallowe'en

:27:34.:27:39.

week. Instead of being sexy with it, you can be eerie with it. A bit more

:27:40.:27:44.

comfortable with. That it is a great song and he's made another,

:27:45.:27:50.

choreographed another amazing dance. They are all genouses, aren't they?

:27:51.:27:57.

They are all. Five under your belt - is it less terrifying as the weeks

:27:58.:28:02.

go on? Do you want me to lie or tell the truth? No, it doesn't get any

:28:03.:28:08.

easier. Do you still get terrified on Saturday night? Definitely. I

:28:09.:28:13.

think it is good. You need to be excited and nervous because when you

:28:14.:28:18.

take it too easy, it is never good, really. You need the nevers. It

:28:19.:28:27.

drives you onned -- nerves, it drives s on.

:28:28.:28:32.

Have you seen your outfit? It is white. Give it up please! Join me

:28:33.:28:46.

tomorrow at 6. 30. I will chat to Rachel, Pasha, Artem. And another

:28:47.:28:54.

panel, tomorrow Michael Ball, Donna Air and Jamie Theakston. Don't have

:28:55.:28:57.

nightmares.
