Hello and welcome to It Takes Two. It's musical week on Strictly and

have I got an all-star cast for you tonight! They're ready to razzle and

dazzle the judges this weekend. Patrick and his leading lady, Anya,

will be on the sofa. I'll be heading up the Elstree

Broadway to catch up with Abbey and Aljaz, and Sophie and Brendan. And

I'm joined by a show-stopping Friday panel line-up of comedian Rufus

Hound. Presenter Aled Jones. And model Victoria Silvstedt. This is

Hello! Hello and welcome to It Takes Two.

It's just over 24 hours and minutes till curtains up in Elstree. But,

before we go on, a warning for those at home. I must inform you that the

following programme contains musical puns that some viewers may find

ridiculous. Anyway, the show must go on. Tomorrow night Patrick and Anya

will be taking on the Charleston. I'll be chatting to them in just a

minute, but first, let's remind ourselves of last weekend's action.

Oxygen! Please, help me! You put a lot in there. It is just a shame you

don't look as comfortable. I expect so much from you now and I want to

see you here in four weeks' time. I didn't like the ending thing. That

was ugly. Listen, it is not your best but it's certainly not your

worst. You actually put a lot into it. You were hard, you worked hard

to hold your shape. You will come back and redeem yourself. Your head

position is bothering me in hold. It was unclear. You are falling between

two stools for me. It felt fantastic really. Very good. Please welcome

Patrick and Anya! Hello my darlings. Firstly, can we say Anya happy

Thanksgiving? Thank you. But get any pumpkin pie yesterday? No, we

celebrated with sushi. Deep fried. Thank you though. Well done last

week, your Viennese waltz was utility stunning. Len was show

charming, describing it as the good, the bad and the ugly. Thank you Len.

Patrick, did you enjoy it on the floor? I loved it. I really love

doing it, so that was key for me. What do you particularly love about

it? The lyrical fluidity of the whole thing, where you keep moving

and it is smooth and you keep going round and round the floor. And the

control when you do get it right, it is beautiful. You are teaching him

so well. Let's talk about liftgate and the lift that wasn't a lift or

was it a lift? Craig was on the show and all the pros say it wasn't a

lift. Craig has said he will apologise if he was wrong. I would

love to say there was no lift at all times. No, my foot is on the floor.

It is clearly on the floor. Would you like the apology in writing or

in wine? We will have that for you. No, I don't need an apology. He said

he had quite a bit of a bad angle, so this is what happens. But

standing anyway -- stunning anyway. The judges weren't happy with the

ending, like, what was this bit and that bit? It was beautiful for the

rest of us watching? To be honest with you, looking back I wouldn't

change it. The name of the song was A New Day Has Come and it needed to

be bigger of the. A New Day Has Come and it needed to

be bigger of the It needed sense to the rest of us. Everyone is entitled

to their opinions. You took the criticism very well on the show, but

the judges need to watch out and better not give you any low scores.

Let this be a warning. You have a tutor teaching. It was

horrible and you have to do it again.

feeling, Patrick? I love it. I was a little apprehensive. In terms of the

musicals, the numbers that everyone was going to get, I was excited I

would get something Hollywood and my kind of thing that I love to watch

Gene Kelly and I got Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I thought, oh, OK. But

the choreography and the version of the music they put together... It is

fantastic. Let's have a little listen and the child will come out

As long as the child catcher isn't around. Craig? Just skidding! Karen

Hardy says this has been the series of the Charleston. Do you feel any

pressure? You've got to follow quite a few Chancellors that have gone

before, or are you like, no, this is musicals week and we are dancing to

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang? We are so lucky to get the Charleston on

musical week. It is very iconic, so I want to do justice to the song and

the movie, so we are trying to keep it traditional. Obviously theatre

needs to be big and smiles and character, so we hope to put that

in. Absolutely. For me it's been great doing the Charleston. That

style is fantastic. Sophie's Charleston with Brendan for me was

one of the dances of the series. So to try to do another Charleston in a

similar style... It is definitely going to be different. I want wait.

And you came from musical as. Isn't that where you started in your

career? The am-dram, before I went to drama school, from 14 I did

musical as, one every year. I was lucky enough to play Danny duck o in

-- Devony Zuko in Greece. -- Danny Zuko in Grease. I love musicals so

much. Will there be any car-related

choreography at all? A little. So Sort of, kind of, in a roundabout

kind of way. They are saying nothing. Ian when he was looking at

the training room footage on Wednesday was saying he thought your

matching choreography moves were brilliant and he was hoping you

might get some 10s this week. What do you make of that? What did you

say? Hello! We want it to go well and to be smooth. That's the goal -

to just bring the joy and energy and technique, a lot of technique. I'm

just going to enjoy it. You are going to make a lovely Truly Scrump

eruptous -- scrum ous. Last week Lucky the pup predicted Natalie and

Artem would be the box office hitment hurrah. Let's see which guy

and doll he's chosen this week. I thought that top hat smelled a bit

funny earlier on. He thinks Abbey and Aljaz will be bathing in West

Side glory tomorrow night. Earlier I Mary Poppinsed up to Elstree to

catch up with some of our celebrity chore cuss line. Over to my

understudy. It's me in the big studio. Musicals

week, I've told you before how excited I am. I want to cut a few

moves. Look who is over here, it is Abbey and Aljaz. Hello my darlings.

How are you? How are you feeling about your salsa? Still excited. I

love the song and that disco vibe. It is quite scary. You practise it

in the studio and it is just the two of you and when you bring it into

the studio and have to do it in front of everybody... It is scary

and fun. We have dancers as well. It is like a proper disco dream. How

did rehearsal go? It could have gone better. Yes, for the first one in

studio was good. Any little thing you need to work on before tomorrow?

It is the commitment. You come in, the first run, different steps and

it is a different room. We need to make sure the steps are here and

after she gets comfortable with that we need to make sure the commitment

and the face... And I'm leaving it late to learn the steps, the day

before. How are your shoes? Don't zoom in. My shoes are good. These

are my old shoes. They'll all be buying the Abbey Crouch outfit. They

are all scraped. It will be good. Do the others give you any tips. Do the

celebrities say if you do this and do that? Yes, everybody's great.

Most people have done all the dances now. It is like, what did you do on

your one, give us tips, and the promise are always willing to help.

You've got such a great number tomorrow night. You get yourselves

ready. Have a nosey along here. It looks scruffy when nobody is here

What happened since I last saw you? You come into the studio on a

Friday. Have you had a go on the floor of your Viennese waltz? Yes.

How did it go? It was really cool, but there's so many spins at the

end, I saw all the studio lights going around and around. Do you have

to hold Sophie up dead? I tend to remember Ian holding me steady a

bit. We go around a lot at the end. Have you counted how many times? I

think it is 12. It is that moment of, are you on balance, have I got

you, have you got me, can we stand? And hopefully over to Brucie

upright. When you come in and do rehearsals on a Friday, do you watch

everyone else's rehearsals? How scared do you get when you see other

people's work? It is not scary. It is lovely. It is nice seeing the

fruits of everybody's labour. You are such a good family. Everyone

gets on really well. That's true. Who are your best buddies? Legal

everyone. There's nobody I haven't got on with really. You have to vote

for your favourites of course. Any props this week? It is musicals.

Musicals week is a big week. There is a lot going on. It is one of

those epic ones where the audience look forward to it, we look forward

to it. It is proptastic. I've seen some stuff I want to steal for my

house actually. Have you seen your coast afternoons? Yes. -- have you

seen your costumes? Yes. We are dancing to The Sound Of Music, so

I'm in a nightie. I'm a nun and they always have a spark costume on. I

went to a con vent school and I can vouch for that. There might be Von

Trapp action going on. You guys get ready and do whatever you have to

Are they singing, "What you doing in your bed?" That's what I thought. We

are arguing over the Bee Gees lyrics. Back the Ball. I don't know

who she is but she's very annoying. After nine it is safe to say our

couples have got to know each other very well, but how do they feel

about their partners? Kevin is brilliant and he's been so,

so good and so patient, I can't believe it. He's just been

brilliant. Susanna is great to get on with. She's become like a best

mate. We are on this journey together and it means a lot. Iveta,

apart from being an amazing dancer, is a brilliant teacher, because

she's got such patience. I reform really happy I got paired with Mark.

He's the perfect partner for me. It is just so enjoyable. I don't want

this series to ever end. Artem sees your potential and wants the

absolute best for you, so he's got a really lovely way of working where

he can see what you could be. I definitely feel like I made a good

friend, with my partner. I honestly cannot imagine even for a second in

my head to be partnered with anybody else. Ola's been amazing. One of the

hardest things I find in dancing is the smiling. When I'm looking atoll

la I find it easy, as she's got a face that makes you smile. I have a

lovely friend in Ashley and he tries so hard to make me proud of him and

that's really lovely. It's been really nice to work with somebody

who knows so well not how to teach but what I'm going through. Brendan

is the best partner I could have had. Sophie is a delightful girl.

She comes in with the best attitude you would possibly ask for every

day. You couldn't ask for more than she's giving me. I love Aljaz. He is

just an amazing person and I really enjoy every second of rehearsals

with him. I think I've bonded really well with Abbey. We have become

really good friends. I can't wait for the season to go on and we are

going to get even better and better. Patrick is an awesome partner, a

really great person to work with. I just want to thank him, because he's

truly doing a superb job. I love dancing with annia. I can't imagine

being partnered with anyone else. She is pretty special, so thank you.

It is getting pretty emotional. That's how they feel about each

other but how do our next guests rate them? It is our fabulous Friday

Panel. It is Rufus Hound, Aled Jones and Victoria Silvstedt. Look at you

three! Hello! What a lovely threesome. I love the cardigan. The

big chill's on its way. You are doing the Christmas show and you've

got Flavia, you lucky man. Allised since this was announced was people

I haven't known - men I haven't known for years - getting in contact

asking for various contact details and measurements. It is utterly

inappropriate. How ridiculous. I've been bombarded. How's the training

going? It is going very well. We are at that point where we kind of know

what it is. I didn't think it would be going as well as it is. It is the

Christmas show, so you can get away with a bit more. Have a bit more

fun. Victoria, is you are here promoting your lingerie range, but

you were of course on the Italian Dancing With The Stars. I was. "Ooh

la la". I was doing a salsa, a special appearance for the first

episode. The Italians do it the naughty style. Oh yes! I've seen

that. "Ooh la la", but it was fun. I got three hours to practise before

the live show. That's all? My feet were bleeding. I had bluesers but I

can't believe how much fun it was. Do you remember your score? I got a

lot different was the first show though. The worst was a 5. I got 5,

7 and 8. Not bad for a first. It was a lot of who la-hole la style. Aled

a, as a veteran of Strictly, who are you loving this year? I'm loving

Brendan and Sophie. I think... That could be taken out of context. I do

love Brendan, but you knew that anyway. I think they are great. But

everyone's pretty good, it is much better than when I did it. That's

what I say. We didn't do anything did we? ? Love your Christmas single

with Sir Terry Wogan. Thank you. You're the only one. What is it? A

Perry Como song. It is beautiful. You should buy it. We are going to

start with Mark and Iveta. They are doing the Samba. Victoria, Mark has

been in the bottom two for three weeks in a row. Looking at this in

training, can he avoid the bottom two this week? I do think so. He's a

hard worker, obviously. It is all about personality and feelings. He

is passionate, he's a fighter. The reason they got the claw is they are

dancing to this from the Lion King. I think they are going to be dressed

as little lions. It is going to be glorious. What do you think to all

of that rolled into together? It is quite a long thing. Mark makes an

incredible point about what's changed with Strictly viewers series

on series, right? We know the judges have to mark the dancing, so he

scores very lowly, but it was meant to be that you at home voted for

what you enjoyed the most. I think what's changed is that year on year

people at home have become armchair experts and they are now voting for

technique. Everyone who watches marsh says, I loved it, but I'm not

voting for it, because there was no rise and fall. A and he stays in.

The judges then vote with their hearts not their heads and he stays

because of that. He is a big Teddy bear. Natalie and Artem are doing

the American smooth. They are dancing to Jennifer Hudson's song

from Dreamgirls. Aled, could they be top of the leaderboard again this

week? Looking at that, it is perfect. It is difficult to tell who

is the professional dancer and who isn't. There isn't a mistake in it

already, and that was a day ago. I think they are perfect. What do you

think, having a little look at them there Victoria? I was asking who is

the professional there, because it is too perfect. My God. Incredible.

We need to see some mistakes, so people can say yes! Or dress up like

little lions. Ashley and Ola are doing a rumba. Last week's waltz

made him the top-rank male of the show. What do you reckon? Due

remember when Strictly started there was a lot of talk about the men

looking like men and not dancing like ladies. I think there ask a bit

of floppy hand there. You have to own it a bit more, especially with

Ola Jordan. The reason James is like he is because he is married to that!

You know what I mean. Let's hear their music. You don't know A Whole

New World? It is a bit wet. For a rumba it is meant to be sexy isn't

it? It is musicals week. He is a brilliant dancer but I agree with

you. He looked a bit stiff. He needs to be a bit more naughty. Be a man

and be naughty. There is no reason it won't be brilliant. Just between

when that was filmed and tomorrow, he's got to find it. Ashley, take

note! LAUGHTER I love you all. They are

doing a quickstep last week. Last week the cha-cha-cha wasn't great

with the judges. Victoria, what do you make of this for a quickstep? Do

you like these two? I like it. She is entertaining to watch, it is fun,

and she is enjoying it. And technique? I don't know much about

the quickstep, is it supposed to be fast? This is from singing in the

rain. It's a done deal. Show hands. I'm going to sit on them. Stop! Do

you like Susanna and Kevin? I think they are brilliant and that song

suits the dance. It will get everyone on their feet. Guaranteed.

And the quickstep works with compact people, little short and sharp...

And she's got that in spades. Abbey and Aljaz are doing a salsa. We need

the music when looking at the training. They are dancing to the

bingies from -- to the begees from Saturday Night Fever. Rufus, is she

looking in control in this? Looking at this, this is one of those

classic cases of somebody who joined the competition and you went, with

yeah, I will give you week five, but week on week has got stronger and

stronger. That's somebody going all out to win. She's not mucking about

now. What's changed? What has changed? You tell me. I don't know!

I think they want to win. It is getting near the final. People

really want to win. You did the salsa on dancing with the stars.

What do you need? It is all about the feeling. The you have to feel

it. It is about had hips and the feeling. "Ooh la la". I love Abbey

and I think she will do great. Sophie and Brendan are doing a

Viennese waltz. This is to My Favourite Things from The Sound Of

Music. Look at that! Beautiful. Aled, the judges thought her rumba

was a bit cold. Is this Viennese waltz looking warmer to you? I think

they were wrong. I loved it. She is so elegant. I think this is really

going to suit her. A genius choice of song. They look like they are

having a good time. Beautiful. Roof use, sound of music, will it be a

winner with the judges, do you think? The thing about Sophie Ellis

Becks ster is as a pop star it was a bit removed. Murder on the

dancefloor is emotionless. It is not that she is a wonderful, warm,

loving human being, but she is just a bit like that. If that's who you

are and that's the dance you bring us, that can be a true reflection of

of who you are. Do you like that? That's alright isn't it? That's what

she is like. I love him. Patrick and Anya are doing the Charleston. They

are dancing to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Did you Potts? I did. Everyone

will enjoy that. They looked really good. Victoria, do you like the look

of Patrick? I love Patrick. He is definitely going to get one 10 out

And this, if this joins the league of great Charlestons this series, I

think he again could emerge as somebody who has gone on a real -

hate the word, I'm going to say the J word - journey. He said it! Who

would you like to see lift the trophy this year Rufus? Well, that's

a tricky question. I think Susanna will win it, because she is totemic
