Episode 21 Strictly - It Takes Two

It's Monday, it is Hallowe'en. Coming up tonight: It was the final

nail in the coffin for Nancy and Anton as they were booted out of

the competition. They are here. Lulu and blen Dan talk about flying

high and -- and Brendan talk about flying high and Craig Revel Horwood

will be here giving me the weekend Live from Television Centre, this

is Strictly: It Takes Two. Please Double double toil and trouble,

than Si and Anton have left the Strictly bubble! Very sad face. The

ballroom was taken over by dark forces on Saturday night and only

the strongest survived. Welcome to It Takes Two. If you miss any of

the Hallowe'en action, here is a quick reminder. A dress malfunction.

Anything I can do! What a number. It was terrific. Loved it. Emerging

from the coffin, looking like the Queen of the Night. You danced like

a walking dead. You are physically unsuited for this dance. The King

Nancy, you have not had the easiest time in this competition. Are you

still shocked to be here having been eliminated? I have been a bit

shocked like the rest of the country. The nation was in shock. I

agree. You beauty! She is right. I'm laughing now. I have to stop

everybody calling me and start crying and anyway so I'm shocked to

be, not shocked to be here, shocked to be out of the competition, yes.

Part of it. We are never going to be out until the end of this. This

morning, they could not stop talking. We have been on three or

four front-pages. Brilliant. I have to say one thing - this is a

competition. Everybody has to go. I think the show - the moment after

we dance was like to switch off the light from a Christmas tree so now

the Christmas tree is without light. You are the Christmas lights!

was disappointed not to be out because this was a game to play, is

for some of the comments, some of the from the judges were absolutely

unnecessary, some of them. We may be extremely rude sometime. There

is a fine line between whether this is entertainment and when it is

something like not necessary so this was the disappointment. I can

see where you are coming from. I know you were truly upset. You did

work very hard. Anton, would you have done anything differently?

Could you have done anything differently other than your best?

Thank you. I know. I'm sad. I don't want you to go. No, nothing. What

do you do differently? I thought Nancy was a delight, really, a

delight, a delight to work with, wonderful on the show day, enormous

fun and I hope that came across. Well, we had a great time. We had a

fantastic time. What was your highlight? Meeting me! Absolutely.

The highlight was to spend time with Anton. Good answer! We spoke a

few times on the phone, I said, "Where are you?" We had our routine

to meet every morning. We are going to continue dancing. Great! And two

or three times a week. Three times a week, at least! At least three.

At least three times a week! have been mesmerised by your

Your lovely partner will be Anton! She is as I knew she would be. She

is a lot of fun. We haven't been kissing at all yet. He is smart,

funny, has a great sense of humour. She is a stylish woman. Keep going.

Keep going! Word of advice, forget props altogether. 1! I'm teaching

you the language of dance, you are teaching me the language of Italian.

Oh! Why you doing this? I have no idea. The most exciting part was

when I took a crafty glance up your dress. Can you pull me up? We are

doing tango. If you try to resist, I will use this. I have been trying

to take control. I will do this first. We do this first. He knows

my ideas are better. It looks like a tango, carry on this way! This

week we do paso doble. You were like a rag doll being thrown about

by Anton. I loved it! We are doing the rumba this week,

the dance of love. It is one of Nancy's favourites. Just a kiss.

right step and the right timing especially on a Saturday night my

mind goes blank! There was moments of Mills and Boon and moments of

Meals on Wheels! The couple leaving tonight is Nancy and Anton! Anton

is very special human being. We have a fantastic relationship. We

will be friends forever. Nancy, you are an absolute superstar. I love

you completely. I am so thrilled to have been lucky enough to have

danced with you. Thank you my darling. Ah. It is only the

for her. I just wanted to reassure her the viewers saw nothing. She is

showed me in a wonderful light(!) nice to know what people think.

Terrifying. Nancy and Anton, was that the right decision? Well, I

think it was about time in all seriousness. I have to say I am

going to miss her. I really am. She was hilarious fun backstage.

Rehearsals coming in, with a walking stick, with platform ten-

inch heels on. She sleeps in those heels. She does. The is a glorious

woman. Are you pleased with the overall standard of the dancing?

Are our dancers improving? Yes, they are. Even the ones you least

expect. Chelsee has been a big surprise for me. She's a very quick

study which I think is fantastic which means she can get a lot of

detail in. Jason, very hard worker and I think he's got to be careful

that that doesn't overtake the dance in a way. OK. You do have to

be careful you don't overwork yourself. First, the Black Swan

inspired American Smooth/ballet, what an amazing concept from Holly

and Artem? Yes. Quite a tricky one. Did it work? I completely loved it.

This is right up my street. I love classical ballet. I was trained in

that. They are probably - the only reason I didn't give it a higher

mark was technically. Just small things, when you put your leg up

having your knee down in the fish lift rather than square on. Just

little... What is a fish lift? the man picks the lady up...

they spun around. What should be down and what should be up?

knee should be facing the floor not here. I like it when you tell us

detail like that. The other judges give 9 - do that again? No, I

won't! Let's talk about Chelsee and Pasha. Doing the tango. A bit of a

wardrobe malfunction towards the end? Yes, you can't let things

throw you. It was a little bow fell off, she probably thought it was

the whole thing and everything was going to show. She was in hold for

most of the time, even if everything had of fallen out, she

should have carried on. Easy for you to say as a man! As a girl, you

would want to hide your modesty. Why doesn't he give her his jacket?

Could have done. There was nothing wrong. It was completely all in her

mind. Bless. That is the disaster. Then of course she went on to cry

because she thought it was all showing - I understand. If anything

does happen like that, it is difficult to get back into the

dance. She did very well to recover. Before that happened, how was her

tango looking? Really great. She was spot on. It was nice and sharp.

Had a lot of content. I enjoyed it. Good. Right. I am the Russell samba

Grant, was he the samba? No, it is a dance that suits him. He went

wrong, a lot! It's such a terrible shame. I just knew that it was

totally in his body and he would have a great time with it. We

didn't see the true dance to its maximum potential which is really

sad. I know that that would have been incredible if he hadn't missed

all the timing and got it all wrong. I hope he gets to do that dance

again. OK. I do love I am the samba. Let's talk about Harry doing his

tango with Aliona on Saturday. He still looked hot even with fangs.

Lots of people saying - the judges - everybody saying they wanted more

in hold and there wasn't enough? When he is in hold he is really

safe and on it. It is only when he goes out of hold that he starts

being a bit exposed. Like I have talked about his arms, the

armography. He will bring his arms to here rather than to here. It is

those details that he needs to get into his body. I really think he is

fantastic. Good. Now, that we are seeing some sort of personality

because he had a bypass the first week... He was terrified! I shouted

at Craig Revel Horwood! I know. It is reflected in the scoring. Yes.

Mr Savage, Robbie and Ola, can we talk about the leap from the floor

to the desk? I thought that was incredible. It was. Can we talk

about the result of the leap, darling? Yes, I sort of liked it.

He's - it is not - there was no proper shaping in it. For instance,

he didn't hold his back arched. I never ever really saw a proper

dance in there. There was too much other stuff going on. OK. Hair and

stuff. He does have such lovely hair. Yes. He's doing the waltz

next weekend? Safe, at least he is in hold. He is good at ballroom?

is. Jason and Kristina back at the top of the leaderboard. Your dance

of the night? I really loved it. I tell you why. I like the story

behind it. I really like the fact that Kristina had really sorted a

proper story to give him and it was wonderful to see him doing it. Lots

of content. I know how hard he has to work to achieve a result like

that. Obviously, it is not perfect. It could be. It could be. It gives

us something to look forward to. does. Audley and Natalie, the big

man. Everybody says jive is so hard for a man of his size or any tall

man. Where could he have done this better? Well he needs to use - he

has one sort of fundamental problem and that is his feet. He needs to

go through his foot a lot more than he's doing. That is why it is

looking stompy and flat-footed. I would suggest little things like

this, just little exercises - it is important. A classical bar, darling.

That's to strengthen his arch and that is what is missing. He really

should have been nice and high up on his toes. If he can achieve that,

that could be half a point more. whole half a point?! It makes a big

difference. Alex and Jaime, she set your pulse racing? She did. Only

because I sort of like the wild nature of this. The track, the

dance suited the track, the story. There was some sort of innocent

virgin stuff going on which I like. I like the... Unlike Len I can't

believe I just said that! I apologise now to the nation. I'm so

sorry. With that... I won't do it again! Thank you very much.

Consider yourself spanked! I like the dress stuff. That was probably

what I would have done as a choreographer with her. It is a big

full skirt and using it, it is like a cape. I have to go now. You keep

it up. I love you. Imagine going round trick or treating and Craig

over the weekend. What we really want to know is what was going on

behind-the-scenes? I'm really scared. I have no make-up on!

Morning, sunshine. Here we go again! I have my lacey

Hallowe'enesque top on. Hi, it is me Erin and we will get some gossip.

terrifying tango. My hair is all over the set today! Look! LAUGHTER

You see this man, we love him. He runs around the floor. He has

cobwebs on his camera. I love it! It's Brendan Cole. If you are not

scared yet, you will be later! make-up and costume have excelled

this week. They always do. This is like out of this world. Spiders on

your eyes? Grrr! How you feeling? Argh! Spooky! To be fair, you look

better than normal, babe! Normally we turn on this show, but Artem is

going the other way! HA-HA-HA! look like Renee from 'Allo 'Allo.

Is that Jason Donovan in his pants?! Was Cousin It a woman?

look like Pamela Stephenson. Since I did the paso last week, this is

what has happened to me. I Like.com anyone here. I'm not fond of trick

or treating. I sort of like the idea that people get together and

have a big party and try and spook each other. Grrr! Show time! HA-HA-

Jason in that bald wig, terrifying. One couple that bewitched all four

judges were Lulu and Brendan. First, here is a quick round-up of what

happened to them. I tell you, you handled all that with panache.

concept was great. I loved that exit. Really theatrical. Lots of

tricks and quite a few treats. What entertainment! I loved it. Well

done. I love your determination. You did a good job. Really good job.

8. The choreography, the flying, the costume and make-up was spot on.

I am delighted. High-five! Yeah! Another one! Please welcome Team

Brulu. APPLAUSE Well done on Saturday. It was fabulous. 29, your

top score. Can you believe it? is wonderful. You must have been as

high as a kite? I am still flying. The flying, my goodness, were you

terrified before you swooped off the stage? The thing I was

terrified was the going back, that I wasn't going to make that stage.

The coming in, no problem at all. You are hooked up. Everything is

fine. It is very, very safe. The harness is like triple layered. The

going out was a big risk because we had to get her hooked up while the

music was still going. There was no room for error. Did you not see me

hanging?! Slightly. Julia says, "Lulu flies much better than Ann

from last year." She had two wires and I had one wire. Quite a risk

thing to do to put your girl in flight, Brendan. You must have been

so happy and gratified... You know how crazy he is! Everybody loved it.

Especially the judges. Did that make you happy? It is lovely to get

compliments on your ideas. You can't always fulfil everything you

want to do. For some reason, the BBC let me go. It was Hallowe'en.

They said, if you want it, you do it. Very excited. Whatever can we

expect next?! Len mentioned something about soft body on

Saturday. You are doing the tango this week. Yes. You have to work on

the soft body and the attitude and the hold. I don't know what that

is! The soft body... Do I have to do that?! Just like - we will work

on it tomorrow! The soft body, Len is sort of right, but it came from

a mistake in the footwork and everything let go. That is why it

went a bit casual. Lulu has a strong body. I like the way she

presents herself. I'm not too worried about that. It will be good.

I'm worried about it for the tango! Is it a similar kind of mood to the

paso? Yes I guess so. Is it? Is it? It is quite strong and passionate.

Passion! That is what it is! It's passion. Right. Are you surprised

at how much information you are having to absorb and managing to

absorb? I'm not managing to absorb anything! I am. It's shifted. It's

shifted from the start. It is a lot to take in. Somehow, I'm not so

terrified, that is the key. I think I was like a rabbit in the

headlights the first few weeks after screwing the first one up.

Now, I'm a little bit - am I more relaxed? Yes. Maybe too relaxed?

Yes! Are you having dreams, do you dance in your dreams? I'm dancing

every day in my dreams. She is not asking you! Yes, Zoe. I dream, I

eat, I sleep, I walk, I talk Strictly. I wake up in the night

and I - oh, I have forgotten my steps again. I'm having nightmares

like that myself! Can you get your scores up to the 30s? Yes, can we
