and the ultimate relationship road test,

where five couples are about to get behind the wheel.

So five happy, loving couples are about to put their relationship

through a series of ridiculous driving challenges

that require ice-cool composure...

and might, just might, cause the tiniest bit of tension.

But why would they do that?

Well, all in the hope of taking this dream machine for a spin

and winning £10,000.

But whoever gets to drive it

will also have to deal with this knight in shining overalls.

It's the brilliant, terrifying and silent driver that is

Top Gear's the Stig.

Right, sat nav set, thermos flask full,

let's get this show on the road, shall we?

Ready to make car insurance companies close their eyes

and cry for mummy, are today's teams, including...

Super Mario and his daughter Kate.

Originally from Milan, Mario now lives in the Milan of Britain -

Plymouth.

From Liverpool, retail manager Ian and his brother Gary,

a bank advisor. Gary is apparently a little vain,

so we've made sure his car has got a 5ft tiara.

And from magical Macclesfield, we have Karen Murphy

and her Hollywood husband, Eddie Murphy.

He was terrific in The Nutty Professor,

but how will he fare in The Getaway Car?

Hoping to avoid the motoring banana skin that is the aforementioned

So, welcome to deep inside the snaky South African wilderness,

where we've removed the luxury of driving on tarmac and cars with

doors and we've replaced them with these...

Madcap 4x4 buggies,

perfect for jiggling those silly internal organs.

So, our four remaining teams have to hurtle around this tight and

twisty off-road playground. Hidden in the trees are these -

totems carved by the ancients,

otherwise known as the props department.

But as today is a Stig national holiday,

and most of the blighters are on a beach in Cancun,

we have very few Stigs on the course.

Now, on one level, their task couldn't be more simple.

Every time our finalists pass under a money gate, they bank that cash.

However, just seconds after they start,

the Stig gets a green light and starts hunting them down.

The minute he overtakes them, it's game over.

But if they cross the finish line first,

they bank that £10,000 jackpot.

Now, the Stig being the Stig,

has a garage of supercars at his disposal.

And tonight, his machine of choice is...

..the Aston Martin Vanquish. Lovely.

With a top speed of 183mph and 0-60 in just four seconds,

it is significantly quicker than the Getaway Car.

So, to make it a fair contest, the Getaway Car pit-crew have

a ten-second head start if they drive the Getaway Car perfectly.
