Episode 2 The Voice: Louder on Two

Shss. They have let me in again. Don't tell anyone. Have I got a show

for you. I will be chatting to Kylie minute owing. Her team members,

Jamie and Lee will be dropping by and vocal coach, Yvie Burnett will

be here to give her expert analysis. You are watching watching VOICEOVER:

Voice - The Voice: Louder on Two. Welcome, welcome to The Voice:

Louder on Two. Let me hear you. Another busy show tonight. Before we

get started, time to find out what is new pussycat as we enjoy our

first daily gossip. First up, an interesting headline. Now magazine

reports rock Ericy Wilson's wild night in after The Voice. It seems

when filming finishes, he legs it home for a crazy night full of old

pier yoe repeats. It is like the '0s all over. -- Poirot.

We next have to report on a new craze sweeping the internet

Ever the trendsetter. Will started it all off on Saturday. Then our

Kylie had a go. Look, looking cuty. Then you all followed swiftly at

clumsy presenters. This is why I'm not allowed anywhere near the famous

chairs, all right. Oh - oh my God. I'm fine but have I

totally broken the chair? Oh, I tell you, I'm so sorry. I was going

through there saying - nothing will stop me. That is Will in the little

suit. In the background. What happened? Don't ask why invests that

had a bit of strive with the rotating chair, but one lady that

don't know, I love Kylie. Everyone loves Kylie. Just amazing. Like she

can sing, dance. She is awesome and beautiful. One of a kind. I think

she brings something new to the Voyce. You want to get reading, get

sexy, get spectacles on. I loved it. It's all international. She is --

all natural, she is so fun Everyone wants to go on Kylie's team. I'm

going to go with Kylie I fancied Charlene since I was... She has

everything going for her. Give it up for the gorgeous Kyle Kylie.

Leo, oh, we miss you. Leo Lunge. We should do that on a workout video.

Saturday first lives for you, I imagine exhilarating but scary. Have

you recovered yet? Just. Yeah. I watched it back when I got home. And

- it was like an outer body experience. It was good to watch it

back to know that it did actually happen. It did happen. I didn't

dream it. It is good you watched it back. I can never watch anything

back that I do. I get scared. Don't look, I'm on. Your team did so

brilliantly. You had that very tough decision to make on Saturday night -

who got your fast pass. You were saying you went hot and cold. Did

you change your mind at the last minute? No. But, just in the moment

of the decision I thought - I've been pretty cool up until now and I

just kind of had that, like tingle throughout. And anyway, James got

the fast pass. He did. Everyone rejoiced. It was fantastic. And you

had to say goodbye to Rachael. Quite an emotional moment for everybody

but it was lovely to see the support between your three acts and how much

of a little family they have become. How much they love each other. Has

that made your job easier as mentor? I tell you what has made it easiour,

is people leave with so much -- easier is people leave with so much

positivity. Rachael, OK I heard there were tears in the corridor

afterwards. You have to let it go somewhere. But she was just excited

about moving forward and, so excited about having done that performance

and you know, she has a really good attitude and the world at her fee.

I'm happy. She is so young, still. -- at her feet.

Apart from goodbyes, have you enjoyed your Voice experience so

far. From the beginning I have said it is amazing except for the parts I

haven't loved because there's parts of the show where you have to say

goodbye to people and constant decision-making and did you make the

right decision. I'm only human like everyone else. You try to do what

you think is right. But, overall, I have loved T let's hear it for The

Voice family. APPLAUSE

Let's big ourselves up. Don't know why I'm bigging myself up. It has

taken me out of my comfort zone. I hope my acts feel that we are all

doing something new and challenging but having fun along the way. You

I'm not surprised after that. Has it been a tougher challenge than you

expected being a mentor? Not so much the mentor part. Not working with

the acts but just saying goodbye to acts. Really, really tough. We asked

everybody at home to send us some questions of their own. Drumroll

please. Get ready to play the lucky dip. It is like Saturday morning TV

all over again. Going in, going in. Questions from you at hoe. Thank you

for all your questions Rachael from Ripon - how do you think your

experiences in the industry have experienced your decision on the

show? Well, they all have, all my experiences make me who I am today.

I think my experiences are - I hope they make me more understanding with

my acts and really understand the mental acrobats that you have to do

to build up to a performance. Time for one more. Go on. Too good. Koal

from France - if you are a contestant, which of the other three

judges would you pick? Good question. I like that. Oh - I can't

just have three. Just the one. I would go with the Godfather, Tom

Jones. Sir Tom, at a push. He will be well-chuffed. Thank you very

much, Kylie. So, we have caught up with the CEO

of Team Kylie. It is almost time to meet her junior members, Jamie and

Lee. Here is how they both got on, on Saturday.

You remind he me of me a little bit. Just a little bit but came out

blazing and I loved that. You sing like the best of them. You

are amazing. The person I'm taking through... Jamie.

# I don't try to understand... I liked it. I loved it. It was

ghostly. It really brought out the sensitive side. It was really nice.

The artist from team Kylie with the most public votes is... It's Lee.

Please welcome Jamie and Lee. Hello, boys. Congratulations to you

both. Jamie, first of all, well done. Pass, straight through to the

semis on Saturday night. Thank you very much. Laura from Surrey got in

touch online and said, "Incredible voice, incredible guy, magical." You

seemed surprised to get that pass. I was really surprised. I know we were

both worrying but I was worrying a lot. You are a worry pot. I was

worrying all the time. I didn't think I would get it. That was about

it. I didn't think I would get straight through to the semifinals.

How long were you skipping for the rest of the night? So happy and

obviously the night got finished even better. We will come to that

later. Lee, welcome to the show. Jackie from London said, "Stunning,

butedively performance from you." -- beautiful." Is it true you were

convinced you were going to go home you packed your bags? Completely

true this. Man will be my witness. I kind of anticipated two days before

I was probably going to go home. It was something I thought in my head.

I had this instinct. I packed my bags, got everything ready. It

wasn't like - I wasn't moping around... You actually weren't. When

the two guys and Rachael - hi Rachael - when they were all

crouched behind my chair, I didn't know you guys were going to sing All

the Lovers and Lee said - I'm ready I've packed my bags. I said - what

are you talking about? I did, didn't I? I forgot. I tried to knock some

sense into him. Is it easier now when you know someone else is going

to choose, the public? Is it easier, maybe a little bit, yeah. To take

the pressure off you, just a little bit. I have no idea what is going to

happen. It is exciting that the public who have invested in the show

throughout the series, now it is in their hands. And rightfully so.

Let's talk about your performances. Jamie you performed, Vanessa

Carlton's A Thousand Miles S am I right to think you weren't sure at

the beginning? Yes, it is a woman's song N general, I didn't think I was

going to be able to do it: -- it is a woman's song. In general I didn't

think I was going to be able to do it. I wanted to play safe. I think

it was the nerves. I would say it was a risk and I was worried about

the song. Can I say your face - isn't it so beautiful? I love it.

Really shiny. Just gorgeous. You sang Help Me Make It Through The

Night Were you worried that the youngsters wouldn't know it? I know

T That was probably my biggest fear. I didn't want to alienate any group

of people and apeal to one group. I think we kind of modernised it

enough to appeal to everyone. That's what we set out to do. The finished

product I was happy with. It is your grandma's favourite song. You sang

it to her. Was she pleased? She is not with us any more. Sorry,

darling, I didn't know. It was her favourite song. I had her in mind.

She would have been very proud of you. I think whichever song you

would have chose, you would have been worried. There is so much

pressure on you. Something else exciting that people don't know is

you have all moved into flats. Guess who is sharing? Jamie and Lee. The

Likely Lads. Have a look. Oh, I'm with you. Come on, man. Sweet. So

glad it's Jamie. He has a single bed. He is not going to be happy.

I love the fact you are singing London Grammar. One of my favourite

bands. They are the kind of band -- are they the kind of band you see

yourself being up alongside? If we are looking at modern day bands, it

is the kind of sound I want to portray. Looking at doing something

modern this week to see the direction I can go in. It will be an

incredible show. Also, you get to perform with Kylie. Up on the stage.

You have been rehearsing. What song are you going to sing? ? Let's hear

# Is it blue... #! We have harmonies. Are your voices

blending nicely? You have all different voices? It is getting

there. I'm giving them a hard time - it is like this, like this, like

this. It is necessary. And it is really helpful having that, "It's

like this", it makes you learn it properly. Well, live on TV with your

mentor Kylie minute owing. It doesn't get better.

recorded a special acoustic performance for us. Look at this.

Now, what is the one thing every mega famous superstar needs? Why, of

course, it is your very own waxwork. Take a lack at this. -- take a look.

We have Kylie minute owing. She is one of our most popular figures in

the attraction. She is in the limelight a lot. So we like to keep

her looking fresh. We have updated her this time to coincide with her

being be The Voice. -- being on. There will be around about 20 people

to produce a figure like Kylie. About ?150,000 to make. Generally we

repaint the figures every now and then when they start to get really

dirty or old or in Kylie's case she has been re-styled. New make-up,

lipstick, eye shadow to match her new look. Of Putting loose curls

into her hair. What people don't realise it is all human hair, so we

can use the same equipment and were ducts that you would on a human.

Each hair is individually inserted one by one. Depending on how much

hair the person has. It can take up to four or five weeks to insert one

head to get every detail the same. We have done all the final touch-ups

on her and we are going to put her on the floor, looking beautiful.

I think she's just amazing. She's really reinvented herself over the

years so many times. You can't help stay engaged with her and love her.

You can't get bored with her. I love Kylie on The Voice. She is so fresh

and exciting. She looks so tiny in the chair but the personality is

massive I love her honesty. It is great. Will.i. Am will be brilliant

but I think Kylie is just kind of exciting and brings that fun factor

to the whole show, which I like. Oh, Lee and Jamie are - can you imagine

if we were waxes. We decided to make them out of Plasticine.

While the acts made it easy on Saturday night, one woman knows how

hard they worked. That woman is vocal coach extraordinaire, Yvie

Burnett As a vocal coach and singing teacher, I train every type of

singer. I'm all about the technique. When a singer realises their

potential and can do things even they didn't know they can do, it is

a special moment for me. Welcome Yvie to the show.

Hello gorgeous lady. You have been a singer, a long, long time. An opera

singer and a vocal coach for a belong time. How do you and Ali

Tennant, who we will meet tomorrow, support the work of the coaches,

Will and Tom and cably and Ricky? Well they have a vision from the

singers musically. We back it up with technical support. Anything

they want them to do, we can make sure they can achieve that. I have

worked with Tom and Will for three years so it is a short-hand with

them but Kylie and Ricky are lovely. It is a real team thing. We all work

together to get the best out of them that we can. Loving the energy.

Let's lack at the performances from Saturday starting with Christina

Marie from Ricky's team. She closed the show with a very powerful take

on the Foo Fighters. Oh I, it just makes me want to fling

my arms into the air. If you are not aware, this is the original foo

fighter's song, Dave Grohl. I'm impressed my mother knew that. For

such a little lass and a huge Voyce, in Christina Marie, how does that

work? You are born with it. It is all to do with the shape of your

mouth where your cheekbones are. You are either lucky or not to have that

God-given talent. Her idol is Maria. She has exercised singing to Maria

all her life. She has exercised her own voice. Now we are learning text

neeks about control, that self-taught singers don't teach

themselves. Sometimes if you are self-taught, it comes out some days,

others it doesn't. Team Tom, we will have a look at Sally and her

beautiful performance from Saturday. # You don't know what it's like

# To love somebody... # Oh, the judges were all standing up.

Tears from Tom. What is it about Sally's Voyce that just connects

with the audience and makes us so emotional -- Sally's voice? Everyone

seems to be touched on Sally, if you read on Twitter. It is life

experience. We know she has been through a lot, good times, bad

times. She or trays that in her singing. It comes out. I say to her

-- she portrays that. I say she is like an Oscar-winning be a tress.

When you watch a film andp don't know somebody is acting and you get

to the end and you think - oh, they were acting. That's like Sally. You

think she is the character. She has not been too well, she has had

sinusitis. How have you managed to work? Well, if you have something

like that there is a lot of gunge, it is not easy, when you are a

singing, you don't want, that you will get cracked notes. We have been

working on that the nasal things. You put a towel over your head to

inhail. Dr Yvie. Let's look at Bizzi from Team Tom.

# And I won't have to be... # You worked with Stevie wonder. That

was clever what he did there. We want to concentrate on one

particular moment. If we look here, this is where he changed tempo - I

have been told this is quite a tricky thing to do, Yvie, tell me

why? Well, you have a your audience all up dancing with energy and

suddenly you have turned the song into a ballad. You have to keep the

intense yited. You don't have them going - -- intensity. You don't want

them going - what is happening now? You have worked with Stevie wonder.

We have Lee finally for Team Kyly and his passionate performance from

Saturday. -- from Team Kylie.

# I don't try to understand... # Kylie says he has one of the most

unique voices. What is it that makes him so different? He has that sound,

a fast braf atow. You know when you recognise a singer on the radio,

they are all big superstars. Lee is like that. If we heard him, we know

it is him. That's such a talent. He changes the songs. He does his own

little twist, a dark melancholy thing going on, he does a little Lee

footprint to each song that we recognise now. He does upwards bits

and twists and we are beginning to see his style within all the songs

he does. He is a clever guy, is our Lee. A clever boy. Let's look at the

original to that song, his gland's favourite song, Chrisostomidis toff

son. -- Kris Kristoffersen. A bit of country. You must find it

hard to say goodbye to them. They must trust you Yes, they trust me,

they have to sing in the room with me. So it is hard to say goodbye.

Wep don't really say goodbye. We have already been speaking to the

guys who have been out of the show this week. I'm still there for them.

How are they going to dazzle in the semifinals? Well, more high notes,

more risks, more everything. More dancing, pyrotecniques. They think

this week they have had to bring it all but next week they'll have to

come out with even more. So good. By the way, shoe alert. Look at those.
