Here are today's nine contestants.

Only one will take home prize money of up to £10,000.

The rest will leave with nothing, as one by one

they're voted off as the weakest link.

Welcome to The Weakest Link.

Any of the nine people in the studio here today could win up to £10,000.

They don't know each other.

If they want the prize money, they'll have to work as a team.

But eight of them will leave with nothing,

as round by round, we lose the player voted the weakest link.

In each round, the aim is to get enough questions correct

to reach your £1000 target within the time limit.

The fastest way is by a chain of correct answers.

Get a question wrong and you break the chain

and lose all the money in that chain.

Say bank first and the money is safe.

However, you start a new chain from scratch.

At the end of the round,

only money that is banked can be taken forward.
