Today's nine contestants

are preparing for the show.

Only one of them will win the prize money of up to £10,000.

The others will leave with nothing, as their team-mates vote them the weakest link.

Welcome to The Weakest Link.

Any of the nine people here in the studio today could win up to £10,000.

They don't know each other, but to get the money they must work as a team.

But eight of them will leave with nothing,

as, round by round, we lose the player voted the weakest link.

In each round, the aim is to get enough questions right to make your £1000 target in time.

The fastest way is to make a chain of nine right answers.

Get your question wrong, and you break the chain and lose all the money in it.

If you say "Bank" before a question, the money is safe.

However, you start a new chain from scratch. Remember,

at the end of the round, only banked money can go forward.
