Of the nine people preparing for today's show,

only one will win the prize money of up to £10,000.

The others will leave with nothing after they are voted the weakest link.

Any of the nine people in the studio here today could win up to £10,000.

They don't know each other. However, they'll have to work as a team.

But eight of them will leave with nothing

as round by round we lose the player voted the weakest link.

The aim is to answer enough questions correctly

to earn £1000 within the time limit.

The fastest way

is to create a chain of nine correct answers.

If you break the chain, you lose all the money.

But if you say "bank"

before the question is asked, the money is safe and you start from scratch.

At the end of the round,

only banked money can be taken forward.
