Today's team of nine contestants,

preparing for the show. Only one will go home with prize money of up to £10,000.

The others leave with nothing as their team mates vote them the weakest link.

Welcome to The Weakest Link.

Any of the nine people in the studio here today could win up to £10,000.

They don't know each other. However, if they want the prize money they must work as a team.

But eight of them will leave with nothing as round by round we lose the player voted the weakest link.

In each round the aim is to answer enough questions to reach the £1000 target in the time.

The fastest way is to make a chain of nine answers.

Get a question wrong and you break the chain and lose the money in that chain.

If you bank before the question is asked the money is safe but you start a new chain.

Only money that has been banked is taken forward. We begin with three minutes on the clock.
