Liberal Democrats believe that everyone,

whatever your background, wherever you live,

should have the same opportunity to get on in life.

That would make society fairer.

And to build a fairer society, we need a stronger economy, too.

So that there are the jobs and opportunities that you need.

A stronger economy, a fairer society,

enabling everyone to get on in life.

That's why our top priority has been to cut income tax

for millions of working people.

More of your own money in your pocket every month.

A promise Liberal Democrats made at the last election

and have delivered in government.

£600 a year for 24 million working people so far.

If you earn the minimum wage we have halved your income tax bill.

And if you work tirelessly in a low-paid job,

you will no longer pay any income tax at all.

I would use it probably mostly for the bills

and probably for petrol and things like that.

It would just make things a little bit easier.

Just little household items, for instance,

the gas, electricity, you know,

to be a bit more comfortable, you know?

It'll help to have this £600.

Over the course of, say, a year, I would put it towards my savings

and eventually want to buy a property at some point.

So it would help a little bit to go towards that.

That would be something very positive

for a lots of families out there who are actually struggling

and striving to make things better.

I'd divide it up, first of all, and put it into

each of my children's ISAs for their future.

Every year, things are getting more and more expensive.

So, by the time they are, you know, if they want to go to university,

or put a deposit down on their house,

then they'll be able to do that.

It would take the worry out of paying my bills, basically.

I could fall back on it if there were problems.

Car insurance, house insurance.

I don't think I would spend it.

I would put it away and when I need it, urgently,

then I'd get it out and use it.

Liberal Democrats have cut taxes for millions of working people.

Invested more money in schools to stop children falling behind.

Created a record number of apprenticeships

and ensured generous rises in the basic state pension.

That's how we are building a stronger economy

and a fairer society.

The Conservatives on their own can't be relied upon

to make society fairer.

And Labour certainly can't be relied upon to build a stronger economy.

Only the liberal Democrats can build a stronger economy

and a fairer society, enabling everyone to get on in life.
