Today I'm going to Derby. Getting out round the United Kingdom is one

of the most enjoyable things that I do and one of the best parts of

this job. It is an honour to be the mayor of

London. I feel a huge sense of responsibility. Especially now,

when times are tough, it is vital that we have a mayor to works to

get the best possible deal for Londoners and for this city. For

the last four years I have been getting on with my plan to turn

things around. This is the most important job I will ever do, and

it is a job that is nobody's by right. I would like to tell you why

I am seeking that job again. Where I was elected, we had to deal with

chronic under-investment in our transport network, Inst --

especially in The Tube. Years when some types of crime were brushed

under the carpet and when millions were wasted that could have been

spent on services for Londoners. The stakes could not be higher.

This is an election about who you trust to get us through the tough

times, who you trusted to be straight with you about where the

money is coming from and how what is going to be spent, about who you

trust to bring the city together and represent nearly 8 million of

us. You have 54,000 apprentices already. We want to get young

people into work. If we're going to get 200,000 jobs. Investing in

housing. I have and nine-point plan to secure greater London's future.

It cuts waste at City Hall, puts �445 back in your pocket by

freezing council tax every year and makes our streets and homes saver

with 1,000 more police on the beat. It restores green space, plant

trees, invest in local high streets, supports small businesses, its true
