Oh, the Budget, that wasn't popular at all.

0:00:120:00:15

I'm afraid we're going to have a lost generation.

0:00:170:00:20

I've experienced it once in the '80s,

0:00:200:00:23

and I can see it coming again,

0:00:230:00:25

in fact, probably a lot worse than it was even then.

0:00:250:00:28

Big challenges in the Valleys in particular.

0:00:310:00:33

We're still living with the outcome of the closure of the mines

0:00:330:00:37

and populations of people who are unemployed,

0:00:370:00:42

and I think local Labour councillors are very aware of that.

0:00:420:00:46

The Budget certainly didn't help families, not one little bit.

0:00:480:00:52

Things are getting worse.

0:00:520:00:54

In fact, it's getting harder every day for them.

0:00:540:00:56

What with the cost of living rising,

0:00:580:01:00

major factor in getting people to work, children to school,

0:01:000:01:04

running your daily lives.

0:01:040:01:06

The Labour Assembly has put its money where its mouth is

0:01:080:01:13

and really come out in support

0:01:130:01:17

of early years and further and higher education.

0:01:170:01:20

And I'm very proud to be a citizen of Wales and Cardiff.

0:01:200:01:26

The police cuts are not helping.

0:01:260:01:28

People are extremely worried about their safety on the streets.

0:01:280:01:31

When Labour were in power,

0:01:320:01:35

they made sure that they invested in the police

0:01:350:01:37

and they invested in bobbies on the beat.

0:01:370:01:41

I don't think we should underestimate

0:01:420:01:44

just how important free bus passes are.

0:01:440:01:47

It's not just about travelling from A to B,

0:01:470:01:49

but it's about encouraging people to get out

0:01:490:01:52

and socialise and meet people.

0:01:520:01:54

The council play an enormous part in keeping our streets clean,

0:01:560:02:00

what with the street cleansing teams and the refuse collection,

0:02:000:02:05

which is all done regularly.

0:02:050:02:06

Well, May 3rd are council elections,

0:02:230:02:25

and it's your golden opportunity to come and vote Labour.

0:02:250:02:31

The Tories and the Lib Dems are really letting us all down.

0:02:310:02:36

So I would say, May 3rd, vote Labour.
