You can't beat a good wedding.
Whether it's Will and Kate's right royal bash at Westminster Abbey,
or little old me getting hitched last year.
-..take you, Roly...
-..take you, Roly...
-..to be my husband.
-..to be my husband.
And weddings don't come any more dramatic than right here on Don't Tell The Bride...
-I'm not coming.
-Please, I love you. Please.
..where we give one bloke 12 grand to organise the BIGGEST day
of his bride-to-be's life.
-What could possibly go wrong?
-On one condition -
he does it all on his lonesome-ownsome.
-I don't know what she wants.
-It's hell on Earth.
The lady gets no say in the big day.
-So all she can expect...
..is the unexpected.
Get ready for an emotional rollercoaster ride...
-Get me on the phone, I'll tell him where the
..as we remember the ups...
..and downs of our gallant grooms...
-Oh, my God!
..and their blushing brides.
I am going to kill him!
-I don't want to do it, I don't want to do it!
..and their soppy snogs.
We did consider making this show an awards ceremony -
a bit like the BRITs,
but with prizes going to the grooms who had screwed up the most.
We then realised that all of these awards would go to one man.
Let's look back at Simon and Kaleigh
and an astonishing series of events that is summed up with two words -
-It all SEEMED like a good idea. Kind of.
Vegas or here?
-Simon, she's going to kill you.
-You can't do that!
-Course you can.
You've got to do the right thing.
-You're the one that's going to be married to her, I'm not.
I'm quite happy with a holiday in Vegas, you know?
Let's just sort this out, easy.
-Red it's her, black it's us.
-You've got to take part responsibility.
-On your head be it!
Kaleigh's always dreamed of a traditional English country wedding,
and it if comes up black, she's off to Vegas.
MUSIC: "A Little Less Conversation" by Elvis Presley
-Get in there!
She's going... She's going to kill me!
Simon can only afford six guests.
It was time to tell the family.
I know there's been speculation about where the wedding will be.
We are going all the way to Las Vegas.
-Oh, my God!
Unfortunately, some of you aren't going to be able to go,
and I really, really...
..feel quite bad about that.
The following people will be going...
and it's Deb, Brent,
my dad, my mum, um...
who else is coming?
Sam, Anthony, myself, and obviously, Kaleigh.
She's going to kill him.
The news starts to sink in that two of Kaleigh's nearest and dearest
WON'T be at the wedding.
Kaleigh has no idea where she's headed.
As they approach the airport, she's convinced it's a practical joke.
I've been told to come to you.
As the girls are still reeling from the shock,
their parents arrive and drop ANOTHER bombshell.
Sean's not coming?!
-I'm not going, then.
-I'm not going.
I'm not going.
Their brother has been left behind.
We're not going.
I'm sorry, it's off.
With the wedding in crisis and their relationship at stake,
all rules go out the window.
You've ripped the whole family apart, Simon!
'How can you do this?!'
I'm not coming.
No, Kaleigh, don't be silly.
I'm not coming!
Please, I love you. Please.
No, you obviously don't cos you wouldn't do this, would you?
'How could you?'
You've absolutely broken my heart.
Please, just get on the plane.
I'm NOT coming.
SIMON REPLIES INDISTINCTLY
Well, game over. End of.
End of what?
End of us.
-You've just got to hope that she's going to get on that plane.
-She won't get on the plane.
-HE SIGHS DEEPLY
-Oh, God, I've screwed up.
After a sleepless night,
Simon still has no idea if Kaleigh boarded the plane.
# Can we pretend that airplanes In the night sky
# Are like shooting stars?
-# I could really use... #
-Where's the arrivals list?
-Which one will she get?
-# ..wish right now... #
It's 7.49, arrived.
I just hope she's here.
-# I can really use a wish... #
-Oh, my God, she's here!
-I told you, didn't I?
-Come here. Please, come here.
Come here. Just give me a hug.
Please, just give me a hug. Please.
Simon's wait isn't over yet.
There's no guarantee that Kaleigh will go ahead with the wedding
without all her family there.
-Kaleigh, I never meant to do it.
-So why did you do it?
I wanted them all here, but I couldn't afford to get them here.
Kaleigh doesn't even have a bridesmaid any more.
Her sister, Sam, refused to come.
On their return to the hotel, Simon leaves Kaleigh still unsure
of whether he'll be getting married in the morning.
The wedding isn't going to take place.
# Little bit of love Little bit of love... #
Amazingly, Kaleigh DID show
and the wedding went ahead with no hitches.
And everybody had a lovely time.
# Little bit of love... #
All seven of them.
Do you know what, I feel like the luckiest man alive,
because 24 hours ago I'd set myself that I wasn't getting married.
And for this all to sort of unveil has been absolutely amazing.
I feel like the luckiest man alive.
SLOW PIANO MUSIC PLAYS
This whole experience has just been...
I can't even begin to tell you.
He just drives me absolutely crazy,
but I just love him, and I can't help that.
You know, he's just the one for me.

# Mi-i-ind. #

# Hold on!
# Arms open wide
