It's Sunday, 12th June. We have Alex Jones in the studio. There she

:00:15.:00:19.

is, standing in for Lou. We have rock God, the one and only Alice

:00:19.:00:24.

cooper is here. We are joined by the two captains fantastic from A

:00:25.:00:30.

Question of Sport, Matt Dawson and Phil Tufnell.

:00:31.:00:38.

We will look at next week's telly too. This is Something For The

:00:38.:00:48.
:00:48.:00:55.

Good morning. Welcome. Quiet over there! Alex is here from the One

:00:55.:01:01.

Show today, swap from the One show. How does it feel to be here? I was

:01:01.:01:05.

here as a guest when I have nothing better to do on a Sunday morning.

:01:05.:01:11.

You do watch the show? I do watch the show. Louise is not here. She

:01:11.:01:14.

was doing the final of a show, which I can never remember. So you

:01:15.:01:19.

think you can dance. This is what happened in the final. There was

:01:19.:01:24.

lots of dancing. The four semi- finalists there.... Finalists.

:01:24.:01:32.

it got down to, I don't really know. It is either a boy or a girl wins.

:01:32.:01:40.

They win 50,000. 50,000, and Nigel Lithgoe takes them to

:01:40.:01:46.

Hollywood to dance for him. There is the guy there, Matt. Where do

:01:46.:01:51.

they dance? In his house, in his lounge, in his kitchen. I don't

:01:51.:01:58.

know. Randomly... Dance. You win 50,000. Dance. Dance, little boy,

:01:58.:02:01.

dance! A big week of stuff for everybody.

:02:01.:02:07.

What did I do? I played tennis. You did loads, didn't you? I did quite

:02:07.:02:10.

a lot last week. Trooping the Colour was the bit I liked. Did you

:02:10.:02:17.

see it on Friday? I did. I love the Forces. How was it hanging out with

:02:17.:02:22.

them? It was intimidating. I went to a barracks in Surrey, where 100

:02:22.:02:29.

soldiers, really tall. I came up to their waist. They are seven foot. I

:02:29.:02:33.

did the routine of Trooping the Colour with them. There were the

:02:33.:02:39.

bearskins. It is not a bearskin, you tell me? It is fake fur. The

:02:39.:02:43.

bearskin sound more dramatic, doesn't it? Better than hamster

:02:43.:02:51.

skin, isn't it? They are lovely and warm. Soldiers or bearskins? Both!.

:02:51.:02:56.

Do they keep their sandwiches underneath? There is room. There

:02:56.:03:02.

are two screws either side which hurt. And you stole a bayonet!

:03:02.:03:07.

didn't steal a bayonet. It happened to land in my bag. I will be

:03:07.:03:12.

returning it next week. What have you been up to? Not a great deal.

:03:12.:03:17.

I'm working the forces this week. I am going to Germany to judge and

:03:17.:03:21.

compete in a cookery competition with the Army, Tuesday, Wednesday

:03:21.:03:27.

and Thursday. I am very nervous. What are you making? I don't know.

:03:27.:03:33.

We have a mystery box of ingredients. We have to build an

:03:33.:03:38.

oven out of ammunition boxes and cook a gourmet meal. They have

:03:38.:03:42.

challenged me this year to walk the walk rather than just walk the walk.

:03:42.:03:50.

We have two top sportsmen in the studio. We have Phil and Matt

:03:50.:03:55.

Dawson. They are united by their dancing on Strictly. It is

:03:55.:04:05.
:04:05.:04:09.

opposition as question -- captains on A Question Of Sport. And Alice

:04:09.:04:13.

Cooper. You interviewed him on the One Show? I have seen him more

:04:13.:04:18.

often than my dad this week. If you have a question for any of them

:04:18.:04:24.

send it via our website. What we want to do is get sports

:04:24.:04:29.

trivia questions in for Matt and Phil. They are about to go on tour

:04:29.:04:35.

with their show. This one sent in by Brian. How many players have

:04:35.:04:39.

scored a hat trick in World Cup finals? We should all know the

:04:39.:04:45.

answer to that one. Should we!? Maybe not you. If you send

:04:45.:04:49.

questions in, send the answers as well, because we don't know. What

:04:49.:04:59.

are we cooking? We are starting off with pea gnudi. They are ricotta

:04:59.:05:06.

dumplings in effect. Mint in there. Tasty, delicious. Main course, a

:05:06.:05:13.

chicken and apricot tagine. Spicy. Big strong flavours. Flaked almonds

:05:13.:05:23.
:05:23.:05:24.

in there. A lustful desert, raspberry freezer cake. We are

:05:24.:05:29.

making that with Alice, aren't we? It is something a rock God wants to

:05:29.:05:39.

do. Two fine sports men, what do they want to make? Queesh!

:05:39.:05:43.

-- quiche. Here is what else we have on the

:05:44.:05:50.

show today. Lead Balloon has turned into a

:05:50.:05:54.

shopping channel. No strings, here's a ring.

:05:54.:06:01.

It is total competition in A Question of Sport.

:06:02.:06:11.
:06:12.:06:18.

And the mostor meanted detective on So, all that to come, plus Wayne

:06:18.:06:24.

Collins. What will you make for us today? I have ingredient inspired

:06:24.:06:31.

by Indian food. It is something Tim really likes that I will use.

:06:31.:06:37.

Coriander by chance? Blah-blah - horrible!

:06:38.:06:45.

We will look at father day present inspiration, including this

:06:45.:06:55.

computerised golf glove. Matt will be on a horse simulator. What is

:06:55.:07:03.

be on a horse simulator. What is for starters? We have olive oil, we

:07:03.:07:13.
:07:13.:07:21.

have peas we will chop, egg yolks, Parmesan. Ricotta we have drained

:07:21.:07:31.
:07:31.:07:33.

had the posh ham. Yes, the ham Hock. I had to rip it in the end. Last

:07:33.:07:39.

time you were on you waved the knife around like a mad woman. It

:07:39.:07:49.
:07:49.:07:55.

was frightening. We have drained the ricotta. Drain

:07:55.:07:58.

it overnight. If you make these you cannot just open the ricotta and

:07:58.:08:04.

open it straight away. It is too wet. We need to dry out as much as

:08:04.:08:10.

we can. Simple job for you to great all of the Parmesan into there.

:08:10.:08:15.

And the egg in there as well. are going in there?

:08:15.:08:21.

Whichever way you want to do it. there something amiss here? Yes,

:08:21.:08:30.

you turn it over! OK. I got it. Lou will be sitting

:08:30.:08:35.

at home, going "another worse cook in the world!"

:08:35.:08:41.

This is all about - it's sutdle. I am not sure if you will -- subtle.

:08:41.:08:48.

I am not sure if you will like this. I think it is too soft. How can you

:08:48.:08:53.

cut peas without them going all over the floor? Roughly chop and

:08:53.:09:00.

bring them into the middle. You could put them into a food

:09:00.:09:07.

processor and give them a quick buzz. You had Jamie Oliver on the

:09:07.:09:11.

show. Such a nice guy. What was interesting is when you had the

:09:11.:09:17.

critic and he had been slightly.... What? I thought it was good

:09:17.:09:22.

television. He had been rude about Jamie's restaurant. I read the

:09:22.:09:29.

review. He liked the desert. He just thought it was a little bit

:09:29.:09:31.

overpriced. You know, Jamie really took it well. He took it on the

:09:32.:09:37.

chin. What was the atmosphere like in the studio? Tense. It was good.

:09:37.:09:43.

I enjoyed it. It was funny. They never built a statue for a critic,

:09:43.:09:48.

did they? Gosh, my arm really hurts now. I think I will have to lie

:09:49.:09:56.

down. For goodness sake, woman. It's all right. I started so I'll

:09:56.:10:03.

finish. You will have massive muscles by the end of this!. I've

:10:03.:10:11.

done lines of - what do you call this? It is fine, it will do for us.

:10:11.:10:15.

What we need to do is beat this together. That will do. That is

:10:15.:10:22.

fine. Shall I do it with a whisk? Jo r

:10:22.:10:32.
:10:32.:10:37.

You can work it. Be -- You can work If you want to come and review my

:10:37.:10:43.

restaurants, Jay, I love you. We mix all that together. What we

:10:43.:10:49.

do, we get little balls of this. So, it is about that kind of size.

:10:49.:10:55.

smells really nice. Roll them around and into the semolina.

:10:56.:11:01.

ball size? Smaller I would say. What size of ball is that? It is

:11:02.:11:08.

more like a gob-stopper size. What you do with these is leave

:11:08.:11:12.

them in here for about an hour. Every five or ten minutes roll them

:11:12.:11:16.

again in the semolina. What is happening with this, because this

:11:16.:11:20.

is very moist, the semolina then begins to dry out. Once it starts

:11:20.:11:26.

to do that, we turn them again and roll them.

:11:26.:11:31.

I am going squash ball size. How are they not sticking to you?

:11:31.:11:35.

They are. Back on and give it another roll.

:11:35.:11:41.

As you do it, the semolina stops them being so sticky. I am not

:11:41.:11:46.

enjoying this! It is not good cooking. I like shopping. It is

:11:46.:11:54.

nice to do with your kids. These are the ones we've had sitting....

:11:54.:12:00.

What's that? That is a piece of Parmesan you didn't great well

:12:00.:12:07.

enough! -- grate well enough!

:12:07.:12:11.

All the time, five or ten minutes what, we do is make sure they keep

:12:11.:12:17.

getting turned around. Then, into simmering water, pop those in.

:12:17.:12:25.

Put them in for a couple of minutes. What's in this? Cheese, egg yolk,

:12:25.:12:32.

peas, mint. They are a little dumpling in effect. That is what

:12:32.:12:36.

they are. Tim, your final job is... You need

:12:36.:12:40.

to clean your board. Then we will make a simple tomato salad with

:12:40.:12:44.

this. All I am going to do with the

:12:44.:12:48.

tomatoes, what we want is cut down the middle and cut that little bit

:12:48.:12:54.

of tomato out there, it is not nice eating. Again cut down the middle

:12:54.:12:59.

and you want that size. Two tomatoes. Chuck them in there. Alex,

:12:59.:13:05.

next job for you. This other grater, we will zest

:13:05.:13:09.

some lemon into there. Interesting you are not giving me a knife this

:13:09.:13:13.

time. Don't think I have not noticed! It was one of the things

:13:13.:13:16.

that was maybe mentioned this morning!

:13:16.:13:24.

Again you can be tough on that as well. Balsamic vein Niger, cherry

:13:24.:13:34.
:13:34.:13:42.

vein Niger -- vein any ga -- vinegar, cherry vinegar.

:13:42.:13:49.

Because you don't chop, how do we stop the pips going into the bowl?

:13:49.:13:55.

Squeeze it through your hands. Jamie Oliver did not teach you that

:13:55.:14:01.

on Friday, did he? No, he didn't. He is a great campaigner. He has

:14:01.:14:11.
:14:11.:14:15.

probably got more men in kitchens seriously. And has he massive

:14:15.:14:20.

passion for what he does. Salt and pepper into there. That is

:14:20.:14:25.

beautiful! Again, if you have time, when you make this salad, if you

:14:25.:14:31.

let it sit for about an hour or so, what will happen is that the

:14:31.:14:34.

vinegar and the salt and the pepper will all come together, so you make

:14:34.:14:40.

a dressing as well. This will taste nice in this way,

:14:40.:14:44.

but if you get a chance give it a rest and it will work better. What

:14:44.:14:53.

we will do to serve this - that bit of mustard cress on to there. A

:14:53.:15:03.
:15:03.:15:14.

like this. You will find the texture of weird. Every time I

:15:14.:15:20.

watch the show, you go, I do not like the texture. I think you will

:15:20.:15:30.
:15:30.:15:34.

find it is the least. I love tomatoes salad. -- Louise. It is a

:15:34.:15:43.

bit baby food for you. I really like bed. For at the main course,

:15:43.:15:50.

we are going to do chicken tagine. You will love that. All the recipes

:15:50.:16:00.
:16:00.:16:00.

can be found on the website. Jack Dee's character has decided to go

:16:00.:16:10.
:16:10.:16:19.

:16:19.:16:29.
:16:29.:16:32.

gold. 10 seconds before we up on. Going live. 5, 4, 3... Next up is

:16:32.:16:38.

this beautiful eternity ring. It is 18 carat gold equivalent. It is the

:16:38.:16:44.

perfect present for someone you love, or should I say, from someone

:16:44.:16:52.

you love? That is right. I am sure any girl will be thrilled if you

:16:52.:16:58.

put this finger in her ring. What I mean is, any go will be thrilled if

:16:58.:17:06.

you put this ring on her finger. It is such a lovely ring. A ring for

:17:07.:17:12.

eternity, a ring that says, let's be together for ever. It does not

:17:12.:17:19.

have to be that serious, does it? More of a short-term thing. I like

:17:19.:17:26.

you quite a lot. Let's keep it casual, sort of thing. The lines

:17:26.:17:32.

are open. Give us a ring about the ring. Here is a taster of what is

:17:32.:17:42.
:17:42.:17:43.

coming up later on in the show. I think I got us out of that! You can

:17:43.:17:52.

watch Lead Balloon on Tuesday. He sold over 50 million rapper --

:17:52.:17:57.

records, has been conducted in the rock and roll Hall of fame, if you

:17:57.:18:07.
:18:07.:18:19.

have not heard these tracks, where # you are poison of running through

:18:19.:18:29.

rock. Welcome to Alice Cooper. Nice to see you again. How was the gig

:18:54.:19:00.

last night? It was great. The people were there for the right

:19:00.:19:06.

reasons. Great bands, lots of energy. Do you still enjoy it?

:19:06.:19:12.

is lots of fun. An audience like that, it is like pouring gasoline

:19:12.:19:19.

on the fire. You were at the Kerrang! Boards on Thursday. Are

:19:19.:19:26.

you going back on tour? We are going from here to Transylvania.

:19:26.:19:33.

How is that? There we are in Istanbul and back here for nine

:19:33.:19:39.

days. Then the big tour in October, Hallowe'en. Did you invent the

:19:39.:19:46.

theatrical stage act? I was looking at a lot of Peter Pans and no

:19:46.:19:52.

Captain Hook. All of these great and wonderful bounce. I kept going,

:19:52.:20:01.

where is the bad guy? I was built to be the bad guy. I said, I was

:20:01.:20:06.

definitely be the bad guy. It is more fun anyway. We have some

:20:06.:20:11.

stories we would like to get to the bottom off. We will start with this

:20:11.:20:20.

chicken story. Did you or did you not kill the chicken? No, the

:20:20.:20:26.

audience kill a chicken. On stage, we used to open up for the pillows.

:20:26.:20:32.

I looked down and somebody had put a white chicken on the stage. I

:20:32.:20:39.

went, that is odd, we did not bring it. I thought, it has wings and

:20:39.:20:45.

feathers, it should fly. I kind of chucked it in the audience,

:20:45.:20:50.

figuring it would fly. Somebody will get it and they will have a

:20:50.:21:00.
:21:00.:21:00.

great souvenir. They taught it to pieces and threw it back on the

:21:01.:21:09.

stage. By that time had to started developing? We were already

:21:10.:21:16.

theatrical. It was very easy to believe I killed the chicken. Frank

:21:16.:21:22.

Zappa phoned and said, did you kill a chicken on stage last night? I

:21:22.:21:29.

said, no. He said, do not tell anyone, they love it. You have a

:21:29.:21:34.

box set which has old footage of you before you started doing beat

:21:34.:21:41.

the magical stuff. It was when you work a band called Alice Cooper. We

:21:41.:21:51.
:21:51.:22:19.

# you lick outstanding with your We were very influenced by The Who.

:22:19.:22:26.

We were also influenced by the Beatles. The grand sweep gravitated

:22:26.:22:34.

towards where bands like The Who. - - bands we gravitated towards. The

:22:34.:22:40.

Yardbirds probably made the most interesting records of any body. We

:22:40.:22:47.

went in that direction. It set us apart. With the theatrics, you can

:22:47.:22:52.

start adding guillotines, hangings and bearer constrictors. You

:22:52.:23:00.

suddenly become an enemy of Mary Whitehouse. It was Mary -- it was

:23:00.:23:10.
:23:10.:23:10.

wonderful! She tried to stop anything happening, ever. She was

:23:10.:23:14.

great. She decided the British public could not see Alice Cooper

:23:14.:23:21.

because we were to devastating. There was no bad language, no

:23:21.:23:28.

nudity. It was just the attitude of the band being so aggressive. It

:23:28.:23:32.

was not peace and love. There was a lot of choreographed violence in

:23:32.:23:40.

the show. That is what bothered them. Your reputation preceded you.

:23:40.:23:46.

Someone thought you had killed a passenger on a plane. This poor old

:23:46.:23:52.

lady was 90 years old. She was sweet. We played gin rummy. She had

:23:52.:23:58.

no idea who Alice Cooper was. Before they serve dinner, she said

:23:58.:24:03.

she was going to take a little nap. Do not wake me up for dinner. They

:24:03.:24:09.

came over and I said, she is sleeping. We were landing and I

:24:09.:24:17.

said, she is sleeping. She died. Did you kill her? No, but if I

:24:17.:24:24.

thought about it... That would have put the icing on the cake. She just

:24:24.:24:30.

went to sleep. Another thing was that you nearly shot others Presley.

:24:30.:24:36.

There was that moment of thinking, he was showing me how to disarm

:24:36.:24:46.

somebody. It was a loaded 38. I said, this is loaded. He said, OK.

:24:46.:24:56.
:24:56.:24:56.

I am standing there and this little angel goes, go ahead, sued him! --

:24:56.:25:06.
:25:06.:25:11.

shoot him. I was saying, can I get up now? Some say it was a myth that

:25:11.:25:18.

Elvis Presley was a black belt? showed me a police report. He was

:25:19.:25:28.

leaving the Hilton Hotel in 1971. Three guys decided to call him up.

:25:28.:25:36.

He broke a jaw and a knee. He was the real deal. I have just been

:25:36.:25:45.

beaten up by others Presley! He was good enough to take care of three

:25:45.:25:53.

guys. -- Elvis Presley. At that point I went, I never want to be

Krastina, Sinty for short, lives on a farm in Upminster in Essex. You

:29:59.:30:06.

have the French bulldog from Amsterdam. We should carry on with

:30:06.:30:16.
:30:16.:30:19.

theirs. We want with pets. What a remaking for the main course? --

:30:19.:30:29.
:30:29.:30:45.

They give it that bite. You don't like sloppy things. I don't mind

:30:45.:30:55.
:30:55.:30:56.

bla manage. Jelly and that is making a big

:30:56.:31:06.
:31:06.:31:09.

comeback. Jelly is made with gelatine, and blamange with dairy.

:31:09.:31:17.

For the tagine, we need onions, tomato. We have curry, coriander

:31:17.:31:25.

and some ginger. We have dried apricots, mint and parsley, harissa

:31:25.:31:34.

paste. That chicken breast, cut it in half and half again. Four long

:31:34.:31:41.

bits? Big chunks. You know me, if you are making a casserole don't go

:31:41.:31:48.

small bits, it turns into dog food. What is harissa? Chilly, rose water,

:31:48.:31:54.

other spices in there. Give it a mix around. Why haven't you cut the

:31:54.:31:58.

other ones up? The flavour will come from the bone. We have left it

:31:58.:32:03.

like that. Ideally let that sit in the harissa for at least 20 minutes

:32:03.:32:11.

or so. That will do us. Beautiful! Then we will seal off the chicken.

:32:11.:32:16.

If you don't have a tagine, which lots of us don't, then you can just

:32:16.:32:22.

use a pan. It is heavy bottoms to take plenty of heat. What are the

:32:22.:32:26.

purpose of these pans? What do they do? Because we have a funnel that

:32:26.:32:31.

sits on top of it, as it cooks, then all of the steam and all of

:32:31.:32:37.

the flavour stays within the pot. It drips down, so the condensation

:32:37.:32:43.

gathers here, and drips back down. It keeps it moist. Could you not

:32:43.:32:49.

just use the lid of the pan? If you don't have one, then that's fine.

:32:49.:32:53.

We seal this and the smell of the harissa the glorious. That is what

:32:53.:33:00.

we are looking for, that slightly charred flavour. Move that away.

:33:00.:33:07.

Simon and me are going to the tennis final today at Queen's. Andy

:33:07.:33:17.

Murray, who is he playing? We were hoping for an all-British final.

:33:17.:33:21.

Put them in quarters or slices. is the weather looking? It is not

:33:21.:33:25.

looking great out there at the moment, is it? It is looking wet

:33:25.:33:31.

out there. Do you play tennis? I used to when I was younger. I

:33:31.:33:35.

played a lot until I was 16. Let's play then. I did a tennis

:33:35.:33:45.

initiative this week to get people playing again. All play tennis dot

:33:45.:33:55.
:33:55.:33:57.

com and you can find people to play against. I played Greg Rusedski and

:33:57.:34:04.

I beat him! You didn't? Not really. I couldn't get off the court. I

:34:04.:34:09.

loved it. Did you play tennis? in the park with my mates. I'd

:34:09.:34:14.

never had a lesson before. Through Greg teaching me how to hit the

:34:14.:34:19.

ball up and a guy called Sam taught me how to serve flat and it's

:34:19.:34:25.

really good. I am probably going to be a contender. Do you think?

:34:25.:34:30.

reckon so. Is this going in there? It was the only summer sport I

:34:30.:34:37.

played. I was disappointed... When the football season ends. In goes

:34:37.:34:44.

our chicken again now. I ended up going to if Tennis School of

:34:44.:34:50.

Excellence. They have clay courts there and, as in the French ones,

:34:50.:34:55.

they are imitating those to get the kids to play. Andy Murray and then

:34:55.:35:01.

we'll get a champion. How long do they reckon in terms of time until

:35:01.:35:05.

we....? Andy can do it. Hopefully him. He became British again, we

:35:05.:35:09.

got to the final. I have always liked him. I have interviewed him a

:35:09.:35:14.

lot of times, he is a top man. He has a great sense of humour. I

:35:14.:35:19.

don't know where this bad image comes from. He's funny. He's a

:35:19.:35:24.

winner. That's the thing. If you have been beaten you should be

:35:24.:35:30.

grumpy. He is focused. Off the tennis court he is a laugh. Off the

:35:30.:35:38.

court he is a real laugh. It is like boxers. You don't want to be

:35:38.:35:45.

not confident if you go into the boxing ring. We have tomato, stock

:35:45.:35:49.

in there. Look at that colour already - it is beautiful! That is

:35:49.:35:54.

from the start. This is the outset of this. Drop it down to a simmer.

:35:54.:36:01.

45 minutes. If you don't have a tagine get the lid on your pan. We

:36:01.:36:06.

have cinnamon, coriander, ground ginger. Next thing, we have fresh

:36:06.:36:10.

flavours, mint and parsley. Chop those roughly, finely, whatever you

:36:11.:36:15.

want to do really. After 45 minutes or so. You can cook this for as

:36:15.:36:20.

long as you like. An hour will work fine. An hour? An hour, or so. So,

:36:20.:36:25.

this is what we'll end up with, this delicious red, rich flavour.

:36:25.:36:29.

So all of the harissa, all the other spices have come together.

:36:30.:36:35.

Then we add some chickpeas into that. Some tinned chickpeas. That

:36:35.:36:41.

will give it body. Give it a stir around. If you want to liven up the

:36:41.:36:44.

freshness, chuck in tomatoes into that. Stir that around. Once you

:36:44.:36:49.

stir that, Tim, add about three- quarters of the parsley and mint in

:36:49.:36:53.

there. Only add them just before you are going to serve. We don't

:36:53.:36:58.

want to cook out those herbs at all. This is very heady. It is a real

:36:58.:37:03.

right in your face kind of flavour. The mint and parsley give us...

:37:03.:37:07.

that too much? It is fine. You want this lovely big freshness. Straight

:37:07.:37:12.

in on the top. Give it a stir around. As soon as you do that, the

:37:12.:37:16.

minute these oils from the herbs react with the heat, that smell,

:37:16.:37:21.

that freshness now. Now you get the depth of flavour and delicious

:37:21.:37:25.

fresh aftersmell. Couscous, the only time I use it is if I use a

:37:25.:37:31.

tagine. I hate the stuff. And then out we come with this.

:37:31.:37:36.

only time you use couscous is this. I don't like it. When you have a

:37:36.:37:41.

tagine, then all the big flavours and all the texture. Is this

:37:41.:37:50.

Moroccan? It is. Would you normally put fresh coriander in this?

:37:50.:37:57.

would use parsley and mint more than coriander. Finally on the top

:37:57.:38:07.
:38:07.:38:08.

a dollop of yogurt to give it some coolness. It smells lovely. What

:38:08.:38:14.

you get is, with the nuts and yogurt, you get another depth of

:38:14.:38:24.
:38:24.:38:25.

flavour. This is actually the chicken I killed - I think! Isn't

We get competitive ourselves. We want to do well. My parents, right,

She's the boss. I forgot the original question. Let's lead the

:45:37.:45:42.

question on, when you did Strictly, both of you, you both have done

:45:42.:45:49.

Strictly. I was robbed. My paso doble was to die for. And I had

:45:49.:45:58.

major surgery. Let's see if you were robbed or not. Matt first.

:46:21.:46:37.

There's not a lot of dancing going Tufnell doing his thing. That was

you. Can Phil and Cati a take the floor,

:46:49.:46:56.

there and have -- trousers on and a shirt. You go out there and have to

:47:10.:47:15.

dance. Alice just moves like this. How

:47:15.:47:19.

good is Strictly, just out of interest. She wants to do it. You

:47:19.:47:24.

want to do it, don't you? Would you do it? Divert attention.

:47:24.:47:34.
:47:34.:47:35.

You did that last time. Let's talk about cricket -

:47:35.:47:38.

sledging... Do we have to bring this up?

:47:38.:47:44.

Alex thought we were going to talk about you sledging as in a snow

figure out what it would look like. You would have a giant bed in

:56:33.:56:39.

Welcome To My Nightmare. You would have things under the bed and in

:56:39.:56:49.
:56:49.:56:49.

the closet. Has it always been tongue in cheek? Absolutely. You

:56:49.:56:56.

cannot do horror totally. You have to do it with a punchline. Rock,

:56:56.:57:03.

horror and comedy are all in bed together. You have to give the

:57:03.:57:08.

audience a laugh. While there are stories about you killing people,

:57:08.:57:14.

ripping heads off chickens, what were your parents thinking?

:57:14.:57:20.

parents knew my sense of humour. They knew it was the dark sense of

:57:20.:57:30.
:57:30.:57:35.

humour. My dad was a pastel. -- a pastor. He said he could not

:57:35.:57:41.

condone the lifestyle. It was my career so I was doing all that. He

:57:41.:57:48.

said he loved the music. He could tell you who played bass for the

:57:48.:57:53.

animals. He loved the Rolling Stones. One of my favourite things

:57:53.:57:58.

you have ever done worse when you work in Wayne's World. We sound

it until it is solid. -- Wee frees it. -- we freeze it. This is a

:58:29.:58:37.

heart attack on a plate. You get a good, clean cut. It is like a

:58:37.:58:44.

cheese cake? It is a frozen cheesecake, in effect. You scoop it

:58:44.:58:54.
:58:54.:58:55.

up like that. You guys are going to love this. I made it! A raspberry

on their, some more raspberry sauce. One of your many talents is cooking.

:59:03.:59:13.
:59:13.:59:17.

Your opinion matters more than anybody. It looks like it is soft

:59:17.:59:26.

but it is not. If you take it at 20 minutes before, it starts to soften.

:59:26.:59:36.

That is the ten-second rule. In my house, it is. Is it good?

:59:36.:59:45.

Arizona, where everything is 120 degrees, this is great. Coming up:

:59:45.:59:52.

We are cooking the final dish. Some great gadgets. Now the last chance

:59:52.:59:58.

to name the year for these stories. When did Acorn Antiques last

Britain'as oldest twins celebrate their 100th birthday. The final

section of the M25 has opened to traffic. It was opened by the Prime

:00:38.:00:42.

Minister this morning. Challenger sliced more than two rows of the

:00:42.:00:48.

transatlantic record. Richard Branson and his crew were overjoyed.

Excuse me, can I have a word? is to ask me about your

:01:19.:01:30.

untrustworthy cousin, the answer is, Lots of clues, but what year was

:01:30.:01:37.

that? Well, I asked Alice for some advice earlier on. He reckons 1984.

:01:37.:01:44.

I went 85. Now it is cocktail time and Wayne

:01:44.:01:53.

is here. What's on the menu. We are using Indian ingredients. Did you

:01:53.:01:58.

like touring in India? Loved it. Didn't have too many cocktails in

:01:58.:02:04.

India to be fair. You didn't drink? The odd one. Do you like cocktails?

:02:04.:02:10.

Love them. What is your favourite Whisky sour.

:02:10.:02:18.

Alex, do you like a cocktail? are you doing there? This is

:02:18.:02:26.

caramelised pineapple, with gar ram ma salla.

:02:26.:02:36.
:02:36.:02:47.

The pineapple has that acidity, put in some brown sugar. It gets the

:02:47.:02:52.

intense flavour. That will come through in the final drink. I have

:02:52.:02:57.

some fresh lime juice. The juice of half a lime to give it some

:02:57.:03:04.

sourness as well. There has been a lot of talk in cricket about how

:03:04.:03:13.

there is depression. How hard is it? Interest is pressure on the

:03:13.:03:18.

family. How we used to combat it was go down the cocktail bar and

:03:18.:03:22.

have a drink. Nowadays it is intense. The guys are not allowed

:03:22.:03:25.

out of the hotels now because of security and what have you. It is

:03:25.:03:31.

hard. The PCA, the players' cricket association is addressing that.

:03:31.:03:38.

They are addressing it and putting things in place. What is in there?

:03:38.:03:44.

Light rum. I put in a little bit of a herbal and spicedly quur from

:03:44.:03:54.
:03:54.:03:59.

Italy to balance out the -- spiced lick cure from Italy to balance out

:03:59.:04:06.

the flavours. Pineapple and lime, it gives a good

:04:06.:04:10.

balance. Give it a good shake. Sometimes when I am at home

:04:10.:04:14.

watching this, I think how can they taste those cocktails, usually I

:04:14.:04:17.

might have a hangover on a Sunday. It is weird being here, feeling

:04:17.:04:26.

fresh. Crushed ice. It is nice and fresh.

:04:26.:04:32.

It is poured straight over. That is going to be top drawer.

:04:32.:04:40.

They usually are. I like the look of that already. There is the smell

:04:40.:04:50.
:04:50.:04:51.

of the pineapple and spices. Top it with some more crushed ice. Garnish

:04:51.:04:56.

it with a couple of pineapple leaves and you have sugar and spice.

:04:56.:05:01.

I will give you a straw each. Have a go on that.

:05:01.:05:07.

Go on, Phil. You can't wait to get in there, can you? Leave some for

:05:07.:05:15.

us. It is weird seeing you with a cocktail. You normally have a pint.

:05:15.:05:22.

Lovely! Very, very nice. Very clean though. Very clean. You have the

:05:22.:05:28.

richness of the pineapple. You get the aromatics of the spice.

:05:28.:05:33.

In here I have one of Tim's favourite ingredients, coriander. I

:05:33.:05:43.

know he dislikes it. It works well with the mango. I think mint would

:05:43.:05:50.

be better. Do you like that, Phil? Very nice.

:05:50.:05:58.

It is refreshing. It is. I have some mango chutney. A lump of mango

:05:58.:06:07.

chutney with the mango in there. Put in a little measure of this

:06:07.:06:14.

mango drink, followed by Arek. It is where things like rum originated

:06:14.:06:21.

from. It was made from palm sugar,

:06:21.:06:28.

coconut palm, made from dates, syrups. It is strong, isn't it?

:06:28.:06:35.

Generally what you find. I'll have a gentleman's pour. Good pour.

:06:35.:06:45.
:06:45.:06:46.

bring these flavours together. I'm going to New Orleans. I'm up

:06:46.:06:56.
:06:56.:06:57.

for an award. World's Best Barman. You would not think to put mango

:06:57.:07:03.

chutney in a cocktail. You often put jams in. It is great

:07:03.:07:09.

in drinks to add richness to it. One thing in Indian restaurants,

:07:09.:07:16.

you have chutneys, that is what I am trying to do, to bring the

:07:16.:07:21.

flavour into the drinks. You hate coriander. It will be interesting.

:07:21.:07:31.
:07:31.:07:32.

I don't like it. Do you like Thai food? But sans coriander. That's

:07:32.:07:42.

French. What is that, to get rid You should have a sutdle coriander

:07:54.:07:58.

There is acidity to fresh mango. Just hand it over, Wayne. Come on,

:07:59.:08:06.

just hand it over! It is very sophisticated.

:08:06.:08:13.

A mango wedge. Go on, Phil. again? We'll do it together,

:08:13.:08:18.

romanticly. If you fancy making either of Wayne's India-inspired

cocktails go to our website: Not as sharp. Can you taste the

the system on Tuesday. Welcome back Nicky. I saw you at

:10:56.:11:02.

the netball. Wrong team won though. Maybe for

:11:02.:11:07.

you. Mavericks won. Let's go on to the gadgets. We have

:11:07.:11:12.

three. Let's start with this one. It is father's day next Sunday. We

:11:12.:11:19.

are going to start with the Doodle Speaker. You can print any photo,

:11:19.:11:24.

any of your kid's drawings on to the Speaker. Go to your website,

:11:24.:11:31.

upload an image. They print it and you get these cute Speakers. That

:11:31.:11:35.

is my daughter here. Those are obviously the presenters. It has

:11:35.:11:44.

Alice's tune. Good tune. It has decent quality. It has the Doodle

:11:44.:11:50.

market plays. You go go on to Doodles market play. If it gets

:11:50.:11:56.

bought you get 20% royalties. That is 30.

:11:56.:12:00.

Move on to this. You are wearing the gadget.

:12:00.:12:06.

This is great for dads who like golf. This is a regular golf club.

:12:06.:12:10.

You have sensors built into the fingers here, as we can see across

:12:10.:12:14.

the top. There is a little come putter on the top linked to the

:12:14.:12:18.

sensors. The aim of this is it monitors your pressure. If you try

:12:18.:12:23.

and do a swing and hold it tightly, the computer will tell you are

:12:23.:12:27.

holding too tightly by beeping. You learn when you are holding it too

:12:27.:12:33.

tightly you relax. Can you grip and hold it too tightly. I will try and

:12:33.:12:41.

hold it too tightly. Is that too tight. You can hear that going.

:12:41.:12:49.

take your normal swing. Perfect - you see! Let's see your

:12:49.:12:54.

swing. If it is too tight you'll push it right every time.

:12:54.:12:59.

monitors every part of your swing. It tells you.

:12:59.:13:09.
:13:09.:13:10.

Oh, that was a good shot. Yes! I hit down on it. I hit down

:13:10.:13:15.

through it. It monitors your pressure.

:13:15.:13:23.

My fingertips now. If I am gripping this too tight. We can show the

:13:23.:13:28.

camera, it has an image of the hand. It shows you the fingers you have

:13:28.:13:31.

held with too tightly. Once you know that you can change that and

:13:32.:13:35.

improve your swing. When you get into a pressure situation, the

:13:35.:13:41.

first thing that gets tight is your hands. Do you like that gadget?

:13:41.:13:46.

It's great, but I don't need it. That is about 50. Finally this is

:13:46.:13:52.

for dads who have everything. It is called a racehorse simulator. It is

:13:52.:13:56.

not motorised. In order to get the motion, we have a jockey here,

:13:56.:14:02.

Christian, he will show us how it works. Christian, show us how you

:14:02.:14:07.

do it. It will keep you fit and the children. Head, neck and body. Work

:14:08.:14:13.

together. Weight on your feet. Crouch down in a squat position and

:14:13.:14:21.

push away. You are a proper jockey. Can you let Matt have a go. Do you

:14:21.:14:24.

ride horses? I've done a lot. Done a lot!

:14:25.:14:34.
:14:35.:14:35.

LAUGHTER Put your feet in the stir rups.

:14:35.:14:39.

-- stirups. This is great for exercise if you

:14:39.:14:43.

can get on! It is great for exercise. There you

:14:43.:14:53.
:14:53.:15:05.

Whoa horse! Get some sugar lumps. Did I win? Did I win? You can try

:15:05.:15:15.
:15:15.:15:23.

That is about fitting hundred pounds. If you write like that, you

:15:23.:15:31.

will go around in circles. -- 1500. You can find out more about those

:15:31.:15:41.
:15:41.:15:42.

gadgets on the website. I cannot get off. Richard Hammond is finding

:15:42.:15:52.
:15:52.:15:55.

out what lies behind the success of We have assembled everything you

:15:55.:16:01.

have asked for. How is this an earthquake? We can simulate an

:16:01.:16:06.

earthquake by dropping this lump of metal into the water and it will

:16:06.:16:14.

create a wave. In an earthquake, you have waves on the ground.

:16:15.:16:19.

has set up a system to warn me of the earthquake so I can try to

:16:19.:16:27.

protect the tower. That is a size monitor. That should detect the

:16:27.:16:33.

quake and trigger a warning on his laptop. We have an earthquake

:16:33.:16:38.

detection system soak it one know when there is an earthquake. I will

:16:38.:16:47.

use that to tell you when you have to take action to protect the tower.

:16:47.:16:56.

Ready for an earthquake? Yes, I am. I will ignore the sound of large

:16:56.:17:03.

waves. I will not move until the warning system detects the quake.

:17:03.:17:13.
:17:13.:17:27.

Any sign of an earthquake? Yes, it is coming. The thing is... You are

:17:27.:17:36.

too slow. You can track the bullet train tonight at 6:10pm on BBC Two

:17:36.:17:45.

and BBC HD. Are you all right? think I have ripped my trousers.

:17:45.:17:52.

was the biggest jockey I have ever seen. You are not great at rising -

:17:52.:17:58.

- riding a horse but you have good at cooking. You won Celebrity

:17:58.:18:04.

Masterchef. I am a bit more worried about Phil Tufnell. What is your

:18:04.:18:12.

signature dish? I would say Italian/Japanese fusion.

:18:12.:18:20.

Impressive! Are you making this up? We are going to make what all

:18:20.:18:29.

self-respecting sports men make, quiche. For at the filling, it is

:18:29.:18:36.

simple - eggs, cream. We have hot smoked salmon, cinnamon, chilli

:18:36.:18:42.

flakes, tarragon, red onion and lemon. Who will chop and who will

:18:42.:18:52.
:18:52.:18:52.

mix? I would like to see Matt's cooking and chopping skills. Do not

:18:52.:18:59.

throw that! We need it finely diced. Could you crack those eggs into

:18:59.:19:09.

there? Are you fans of quiche? really. I have not tried a lot of

:19:09.:19:17.

quiche. I think it is much underrated. I like quiche and a bit

:19:17.:19:24.

of salad. Earlier on, I think you have the answer. Which English

:19:24.:19:28.

football club is the only one to start with five consonants in its

:19:28.:19:38.
:19:38.:19:52.

name? Crystal Palace. While they are busy chopping, after you have

:19:52.:20:02.
:20:02.:20:04.

done that... There will be lots of chopping. Then we add chilli flakes.

:20:04.:20:09.

:20:28.:20:36.

is a level of intensity. You should see when he does an impersonation

:21:39.:21:46.

attractive. We have honoured the Drake. He is sane, which one of you

:21:58.:22:08.
:22:08.:22:13.

any way. Who would win? Me! I think that Matt and Phil have a very

:22:13.:22:19.

positive relationship. Often with blokes they raise a bit of, I am

:22:19.:22:29.
:22:29.:22:35.

better than you. -- bet is. Can I ask a question? People are wary of

:22:35.:22:43.

asparagus. If you spoke to an eastern European person, Babe with

:22:43.:22:52.

nuts now because they break down the enzyme. It is because -- they

:22:52.:23:02.
:23:02.:23:04.

would not smell because they have the enzyme to break it down.

:23:04.:23:12.

Without being too graphic, do you like asparagus? It is gorgeous.

:23:12.:23:19.

Once that is done, that is beautiful. That can go in there.

:23:19.:23:27.

Big flakes. You want big pieces. Otherwise it is like cat food. You

:23:27.:23:34.

know what to do with that. That goes in as well. All of it. You

:23:34.:23:44.
:23:44.:23:48.

have a lovely aniseed flavour. Asparagus, and in, chilli, some

:23:48.:23:57.

nutmeg. What did you cook for the final? Scallion pancakes. The main

:23:57.:24:07.
:24:07.:24:13.

cause was sea bass bus-stop for -- the main course was sea bass.

:24:13.:24:19.

the end, they did say he could open up own restaurant. I think they

:24:20.:24:25.

were being nice. When you have a professional, it is a poor game

:24:25.:24:31.

than an amateur who thoroughly enjoys his cooking. You could be

:24:31.:24:35.

the best cook in the world but there is very few similarities

:24:35.:24:41.

between cooking at home for friends and doing it for hundreds of people.

:24:41.:24:47.

There is a different entity. Also the creativity. To come up with

:24:48.:24:52.

three of four brand new dishes for a show like this is a huge amount

:24:52.:25:00.

of work. You are a legend? I am. I think of myself as being like a

:25:00.:25:06.

national treasure. That goes into the pastry case. All of that in

:25:06.:25:16.

:25:59.:26:09.
:26:09.:26:10.

The smell is divine. How long? It is on a low temperature was dug you

and our show is Hallowe'en anyway every night. We're at the Alexandra

:27:20.:27:26.

:27:26.:27:31.

were doing the oddest things you have ever seen. Some of the stuff

:27:31.:27:38.

make-up. The two stripes. It goes from being a clown to a really

:28:22.:28:30.

scary clown. A lot of people are terrified of clowns. It should be
