and feel it's now time for a change.

as she's permanently on the go.

Hopefully for us, her daughter Giselle will bring along some peace and tranquillity.

One thing both ladies have in common is their passion for fashion.

If they're as keen and eager shopping for houses

as they are when pounding the pavement along the High Street,

we're in for an eventful journey.

What are we looking for for Mum?

We're looking for a detached house, four bedrooms -

three or four bedrooms - big garden,

erm, a nice, big kitchen...

We live in a village at the moment that's very popular.

A detached house is going to be essential, because these two ladies are...how do I say it?

You've had a tough morning, lugging all that baggage around,

-so I'm going to go and find some houses. OK?

I'll be hot-footing it around myself, I'm sure.

Our search today is centred around the towns and villages near Kidderminster and Kinver.

The area is fantastic for travel as it's within easy reach of Birmingham

and many other parts of the midlands.

And, while today, the residents enjoy the 21st-century commuting links,

the area has a fine transporting heritage,

putting it on the map many years earlier.

The Severn Valley Railway opened in 1862 and ran for 40 miles between Hartlebury and Shrewsbury.

Although now it's mainly used for leisure and tourism,

it's great to see a team of dedicated volunteers still keeping 60 miles of this route on the move.

But it's not all about man-made beauty,

as the nearby National Trust area of Kinver Edge offers miles of nature at its very best.

Time, though, to see what £425,000 would get you near some of the UK's other heritage railway lines.

Chugging to Middleton near the North York Moors Railway

is this four-bedroom stone cottage,

with all the benefits of a new-build property

and all the charm of a character home, it's a bargain...

And from the new to old, here in Llangollen, Wales,

is this detached, five-bedroom home. It has three reception rooms,

but best of all are the views this place offers

from its hillside location. Steaming in, at...

And finally, to Chillaton, Devon,

where this four-bedroom beauty awaits.

This place is attractive both outside and in,

with its unusual layout and oodles of style.

It seems a small price to pay.

But for now, back to our property hunt for Sarah and Giselle

to see what's on offer in south Staffordshire.

Whilst I'm on a mission to find out about this area's past.

The Romans used the hills around Kinver as observation points

and as defensive strongholds.

Evidence of their camp can still be seen to this day.

Ideally four bedrooms, preferably detached,

preferably modern, and not needing too much work

is the general requirement.

OK, erm, it's excellent you've said they're looking for something that's modern,

cos more of the character properties do tend to fetch that little bit more.

-Always the way, isn't it?

-But they tend to have larger gardens.

It has been plausibly suggested that the cave houses and their small gardens at Kinver Edge

were the inspiration behind Hobbiton in the writings of Tolkien,

who grew up and spent his young adulthood in nearby Birmingham.

-What makes it such a sought-after part of the country?

-Kinver itself has got such character.

It is a very historic village.

It was around in Roman times and used to be called Chenevare.

The adder is the UK's only native venomous snake.

And the environment of Kinver Edge

is perfect for this now-endangered creature.

But despite its reputation,

the adder is very placid and retiring,

so if you see one, there's no cause for alarm.

Perfect location, absolutely beautiful.

OK, Property 2 - I've gone for Kinver,

which is the location they really want to be in.

It's a lovely executive detached property in a private cul-de-sac.

Loads of space inside, gorgeous garden.

A little bit of work required, but all the family will like it.

Now then, the wildcard. Why is it the wildcard?

Take a look at it - it doesn't look THAT wild, does it?

But Sarah was very specific about where she wanted to live.

What have we done with the wildcard? You know what we've done. It's not going to be there, is it?

That's the wildcard - it's a beauty. All three properties are great.

-Shall we get the show on the road?

My choice is nestled in an exclusive estate. Houses in this neck of the woods rarely come on the market.

But this beauty will be well worth the wait.

We have four beds, two bathrooms and a large kitchen-diner,

but quite frankly, all that will be overshadowed

the moment they walk into the living room.

Ladies, Property 1 today is my choice, and I am very, very excited.

It had plenty of space upstairs to accommodate the family and their friends.

It's also got one of the best entertaining spaces I've ever seen.

And next, my choice was the elevated home on the edge of...Kinver Edge.

It had all the required internal space,

and the biggest and best garden we've seen today.

But will the ladies be tempted to test-drive it?

And finally, today's wildcard quite simply seemed perfect in every way.

From the location to the living space,

and even the bedrooms, everything seemed to blow them away.

So which one will it be?

-Well, ladies. I am well and truly shocked. I don't know about you, Simon.

It's just... For me, it's just my dream house.

I just love everything about it - its quirkiness,

has given this place the once-over.

It's not a legally binding survey,

and if you proceed with this house or any other,

get all the surveys and searches done - you know that.

He's come up with some interesting stuff.

There is a selection of coniferous trees to the side of the property there.

They serve a very valid purpose, which is to hold the soil in place.

We are on an incline here. He did say, keep an eye on them,

maintain them, because they can creep closer to the property.

Nothing more than that.

Now, one little serious note.

Asbestos. This house was built '70s, '80s,

and locked within the slates on the roof is asbestos. They may need replacing.

The main point is, when that needs to be done, just get the right people to do it.

It's got to be lifted and taken to a specific place.

You don't want to be involved with that, you don't want to be around when that's happening.

Apart from that, it's fine.

Enough seriousness, get yourselves inside, start test-driving this baby.
