The whole world was sleeping.

thought Mo Mo Bot,

"they won't get cross and they'll want to play!"

It was far too early, but she tried, anyway.

It was far too early for Teddington Bear.

Mo Mo Bot had honey, but he didn't care.

It was far too early for Toddler Tom

who was happily sleeping, while Mo Mo was leaping.

It was far too early for little Miss Mouse.

No cheese was so tasty that she'd wakey-wakey!

And Stuffy was snoring. He couldn't be woken.

It was far too early for tickly-poking.

It was far too early for very loud humming.

"Mmmmmm!"

For practising drumming!

BOOM!

For singing! # La-la! #

For playing guitar. # Wahh! #

For honking a hooter. Honk!

For tooting a tooter. Toot!

For stamping or clapping or honking or quacking. Quack!

It was far too early to make such a noise.

"I'm doing my best, but I can't wake the toys!"

said Mo Mo Bot.

So she tip-toed downstairs to look at the sky,

and talk to the sun and ask it to rise!

She peeped round the door and she suddenly heard

the tweeting and chirping and warbling of birds!

"Hello, birds. Good morning to you. I'm glad that you're awake, too,"

said Mo Mo Bot.

When the rest of the world is busy sleeping,

it's good to hear the birdies tweeting.

The birds, with their tweeting, woke the sun!

And then the toys woke, one by one!

They came down for breakfast. "Good morning! Good morning!"

But poor Mo Mo Bot couldn't stop yawning!

HE YAWNS

She whispered so softly,

"I'm off to bed."

"It's far too early!" everyone said.
