-But for one day in November...

-..it was home to one of

-Wales' biggest one-day events...

-..the Young Farmers' Eisteddfod.

-It was Carmarthenshire's turn

-to host the event this year...

-..but because the event

-needed a sizeable hall...

-..they had to leave the county and

-come to the lovely Brangwyn Hall.

-North, south, east and west

-came together to compete...

-..and to try and win points

-for their federation.

-"Right, Kenneth, I want you to..."

-"No, no, Stacey, it's not Kenneth,"

-I said. "It's Cennydd."

-"Ooooh, how do you spell that then?"

-It seems the best way to deal

-with situations like this...

-..is to use the phonetic alphabet.

-This is the alphabet

-the police use...

-..F for Foxtrot, C for

-Charlie, U for Uniform.

-Unfortunately, I haven't learned

-the correct words for each letter.

-I panic and use totally random

-words. Filthy words too sometimes.

-That day was no different.

-"So Stacey, it's C for..."

-and I went totally blank.

-The only word I could think of

-starting with C was Cennydd...

-..but if I said that,

-she'd write "K".

-I could think of one word

-that started with C...

-..but it was safer not to say it

-otherwise I'd never get the shirt.

-It took me ten seconds to remember

-my bout of food poisoning last year.

-"Then E for Edgar.

-He lives next door.

-The next one was easy, because

-I'd just had a packet of crisps.

-when you've painted your nails."

-"Didn't realize

-I was such an inconvenience."

-"Do you want your big present now?"

-"Yes, absolutely."

-He passed a small white envelope

-to me.

-In my head, I was thinking,

-spa day, a weekend in Paris...

-..something like that.

-I opened the envelope.

-I read the message once.

-I read it again.

-Ikea gift vouchers.

-That's right. Ikea gift vouchers.

-"Oh, lovely."

-I thought, "Don't worry,

-the day has been planned".

-I spent my birthday walking around
