Glastonbury with the mightyU 2 behind us. Bona has a stage.

I saw them play at Manchester poly technique there were about 50 of

them there and that night I had my Ford Escort nicked. There were a

really nice bunch of guys. It is incredible how they have morped

into this great band. I think it is great being Larry Mullan. He looks

the coolest. The rest of them are working the crowd hard. It must be

great being Larry Mullan and looking out over these seas of

people every night. Anyway, it has been a long time coming. People

seemed to be braving the weather down there at the front. It is

raining and raining and raining. There is no let-up. We are told

that the weather is going to be much better tomorrow and it is

going to be even 30 degrees on Sunday. For now, chilly up here.

Pretty chilly. Yeah, Bono is winding the crowd up. Everybody

seems happy. Everybody seems in a euphoric state of mind to see U2 at

Glastonbury. You wouldn't believe what goes on backstage. There is an

incredible crew. The number of people they bring with them. Back

Backstage, they are all calm. They have done this 200 times in the

last few months. So sit back and enjoy the rest of U2 and I still
