Thank you very much. Welcome to the Treehouse. I know. Welcome. I don't

know if it's sad but this is one of the most special things, this is

what I remember of Glastonbury as a kid, this box. That view there is

unbelievable. It's a real view. It exists. You can be my cohost because

I'm on my own. That's nice. John Peel tent obviously steeped in

history this place anyway, but that tent particularly is a place where I

think a lot of artists an bands have their moment. Did you have your

moment today? Yes, it's interesting because John Peel for me, I think

I'm too young to truly understand who he was and everything, but

saying that, I think we all appreciate exactly what he did and

everything. So to be asked to play the John Peel tent for amazing for

me. I was in a meeting for this show today and I said, I have to go,

George Ezra is on, I want to catch it. I ran to the back of the John

Peel tent you played the last chord and I was like, oh, God, missed it.

The crowd looked incredible and you had a good show, right? Yes, I went

to watch Royal Blood yesterday and it was the biggest mistake because I

was so nervous, I was stood in the middle of the crowd and I was like,

it's quite big. Whenner on stage, it's easier to swallow, it looks a

lot more bearable. What is it about this festival that makes it special?

You have done a last few weeks some gig and things? I don't know, before

I came here, people used to say there's so much going on, I would be

like, shut up, give it a rest, but you come here and it's so big and

there is lots going on. I still can't put my finger on what it is,

there's just a good atmosphere here. Is it because you know the history

and who has performed here? Yes. Looking at that... It's iconic isn't

it? But also compared to other festivals I grew up going to, some,

I just think there is a nice atmosphere here, there is no ag as

such, it's quite nice. "No ag"? No. Not on your show? Not as far as I'm

aware. The album is not even out until

tomorrow? I know. Lots of people watching you? Yes, it's amazing I

get to release it tomorrow. I like to just make sure I enjoy things as

they happen and today was, you know, special. Thank you so much for your

Speaking of Ellie, Gemma chatted to her earlier today.

Oh, yes, I'm with delectable company, Ellie Golding, everybody,

come on! In a onesie. Well, I don't know where my clothes are.

That's literally the only reason I'm wearing it, I couldn't find any

clothes on the bus, it's comfy. Are you dazed and confused, like

everybody on Sunday at Glastonbury? Yes. What is going on with you? I

played tonne John Peel stage last time and then went to Luxembourg,

but we are just back from Luxembourg, then back to Europe next

week, it's all go as usual. How does Glastonbury compare, it's unique? I

always search my mind to find ways of describing how specialities. How

would you explain to people back home how exactly it is? It's just

really surreal hearing your favourite bands play in the

background. That's me usually listening to 1975 and in the

background casually they are on the Pyramid stage. Everyone wants to be

here and may here. The only word is surreal. One thing that you guys are

lucky about is not getting stuck in the mud. Yeah. I had to come back to

interview you, I was stuck down some muddy lane. Yeah, but it's kind of

dried up now. We have been quite lucky. Although I can see a few

black clouds coming over, so we'll see. Hopefully for my set it will be

dry. Has your set become more festivaly?

I feel like your sound is bigger? Everything is larger than life, I

feel, like you've come into your own? This is going to be a special

one? I think it's going to be a special one. We have been touring

for two years straight, so if we weren't killing it by now live,

something would be wrong, you know, because we have had so much practice

every night we are playing a show. I tour more than anyone I know so I

think at this point we have to be like pretty hard core live.

What have you got planned? I'm going to wear this. No I'm not, I will

find some clothes by tonight, but I don't know, I've got a couple of

covers and perhaps people don't know I've done them in the past. I'm

playing a bit of guitar, same old really, but we are all really

excited. The band are pumped so it's going to be special. Are you going

to get the opportunity to watch Dolly? I think so. I love Dolly so

much but she's on at the same time as Sam Smith so I might have to walk

between. I'm excited that she's like within a mile radius of me. I had

butterflies earlier with the Dolly effect. Can't wait to see you do the

covers and pound the drum, do your thing. Excited. Cool, see you there.

a special love for Glastonbury. It really is a unique stage, it's huge,
