somewhere. Hello there. Here we are, to do it

all one last time. It's the final night of Glastonbury 2014. Our

headliners must be pretty excited right now. They've played the

festival four times before, but their fifth is going to be the first

time headlining the Pyramid Stage. Kasabian have said after this show

they will be able to die happy. It's literally a dream come true. Before

we see them playing live on that there stage, let's find out a little

bit about the journey it too them to get here.

Leicester City 1997 an 18-year-old wannabe rock star falls to his knees

and yells... That was Glastonbury. Tom. The front man of the mighty

Kasabian, arguably one of the best live acts around. Tonight, they

headline the Pyramid Stage. Performing together with SergePisono

the band performed under the short-lived name of Syracuse. They

renamed themselves Kasabian they took on great British rock and too

took it into the millennium with a swagger all their own.

And the release of their 2004 debut album gave them an instant fan base.

After an 11am booking at Glastonbury in 2004, they were promoted to an

evening slot on the other stage the following year. It was the first

realisation we had connected with people. It was these people wanted

to see our band play. You realise that's all that matters. In 2006,

their album Empire sold over a million copies and stormed to number

one, bringing a steady release of anthems that defined their same. In

2009, the catchily named West Rider Lunatic Asylum reached number one.

It gave us lock locks from Tom, the classic Fire and brought them one

step closer to being Pyramid headliners. In 2009 we played fire,

because it was delayed at the back, there was a weird sea of jumping and

Tom's strawberry jacket... And the long hair. It's unparalleled. Two

years later and another number one album, Kasabian cemented their

reputation as being one of the must-see live acts of their

generationment A decade on from the release of

their first record they find themselves at the top again. Finally

their dream of headlining the Pyramid Stage is here. The nerves

are kicking in. This has made it worse. Can't be scared of it. Have

the crowd one more time. You can see how much that meant to that band ten

years ago. That was utter headline. I know the flags, they are annoying

but on television, they look amazing. The whole stage t looked so

clean, the black and white. They worked hard. So thank you for

pulling off a great headline set. They stayed on longer than

Metallica. They did not want it to be over. The new thing - headliners

don't want to leave the stage. Kasabian will be chatting to Gemma

"Hello Glastonbury." What was it like, headlining the Pyramid?

Emotional, as well. Me and Sergio, we started the band in 1997. Fucking

mate, you must be joking. What makes Glastonbury so special. We do. Why

is this the ONE. On the way here before we played, I saw a geeser in

We were watching from here for the second half of the set. It was

I love doing those interviews when bands come off stage. I'm happy we

are here. Poor Huw and Gemma. That's how to do one of those. Dolly Parton

was similar when you chatted to her when she came off. It is a joyous

reaction, isn't it? That's how anybody would feel headlining at

Glastonbury. I interviewed him a week or so ago for my radio show. He

said all over the years I have watched the bands, saw them do the

interviews, sometimes they are not excited. We are going to be super

excited. He absolutely was. I love the fact he has watched it and it

meant that would Will much to him. It would -- it meant that much to

him. We are up here on The Park stage. When we got here there was a

Glastonbury debut. You will be hearing more I dare say. Seconds

before he came on stage to do that performance, he was snuggled up with

a duvet, he has been waiting so long. The guitar-player had a

giraffe onesie on. We liked it. All over the weekend we have been giving

you insights into the various people and their various tales of

Glastonbury, we have worked here a long time. To see what life they

lead. This is the guy working on the Glastonbury radio station. This is

the Reggae DJ himself. The station rules the nation.

I'm Danny Teacher, the Reggae present er at Worthy FM. We started

19 fest values ago in a one-man caravan. -- festivals ago. We

broadcast for the week, from the Monday. My show is a Reggae show. I

play a lot of ska, rock steady, a little bit for everyone. We also

deal with the human side. I mean from the very first time they come

on site, people can listen to the roo. We deal with what the weather

is going to be like. Where are the best places to camp. What about the

rain? Don't worry about the rain at all. Make sure you have all your

gear and not next to the tent walls, OK. My whole family are musicians.

My grandfather was a fiddle player in Jamaica. My father was a

saxophonist. He wouldn't read a music of music but they played mag

no I have sently. My job is a singing. I tour the world singing.

When I come back here, it is back to my own little community and family.

-- magnificently. The equipment might not be as up-to-date as if you

find in radio studios nowadays but this is' part of being in

Glastonbury and doing it in a field. How long will it carry on? I think

we'll carry on as long as Michael Eavis carries on Glastonbury.

there. It is interesting being here tonight and doing the final show.

Normally things are getting deconstructed and everyone is

clearing the place. Tonights is-upping. There are loads of people

the West Holt stage earlier today Time is running out for us. We have

studio at this year's grass tonbury. Someone born in Beirut but now based

Every year there is someone who really surprises you. Someone you

were aware of but you have not realised how on the cusp of

greatness. Who is it from you? The time just fitted as I was walking

past. It was Ellie Goulding. To be honest, she blew me away and here is

was Ellie Goulding on The Other Stage. For me, I tell you someone I

was impressed with, Ed Sheeran. Everyone knows he is massively

successful at the moment. He went on stage after Dolly Parton. Obviously

she had the biggest crowd I have ever seen And a big band. He walks

out on stage and it is just him but he held on to the audience. They

were singing along with every word. He is very clever. He sent a video

message to Mike Hibbs. What a gent. The highlights for you, then? Well,

I remember the thunderstorm on Friday afternoon and Fisherman's

Friend singing acousticically in the acoustic tent. It has gone so

quickly. It doesn't seem five minutes sin I saw Blondie first band

on the The Other Stage on Friday. Dolly was a massive moment. There

haven't been many moments but Sam Smith was great. Bombay Bicycle

Club, you could see them growing into the set they had. They played

on The Other Stage. They were great. It has been rocky. A year of rock

here. We should tell you about a if you things. If you go to the BBC
