coming up for you later this evening from the Park Stage.

We will contemplate the life of David Bowie. But until then, we're

having a party, at The Other Stage tonight, transformed for the

New Order performing on the Other Stage. The keen eyed among you might

have noticed the ace of spades at the top of the stage which was a

tribute to Lemmy who played what turned out to be his last festival

performance last year Glastonbury. Prince has been the subject of many

tributes on site and Lemmy also and on the park we are in for the most

spectacular tribute. David Bowie. Philip Glass's Heroes Symphony will

be performed with a special laser show. We will tell you about that in

Band-macro at the Part earlier, I remember seeing them for the first

time at Glastonbury in 1999, around about the release of their

Deserter's Songs album, and it's good to see them still standing as

great as ever. Jonathan Donahue's voices like a lullaby, isn't it? A

beautiful thing, lulling us into the right frame of mind, the right state

of mind for a very special to beat to a man who had a very special

relationship with Glastonbury, actually, headlining the festival in

1971, a replacement for T Rex who pulled out at the last-minute if I

remember rightly, did not get onstage till about 4am, I think he

was in a farmhouse printing T, not sure of what variety but he was

enjoying himself. David Bowie came back to the festival with Tin

machine later in his career. You may have noticed during the sets on the

Pyramid stage denied that there is a Aladdan Sane lightning strike

painter before but we're going to the ever a special live performance

tonight. This is a tribute that has been put together, I think Charles

Hazlewood came up with the idea, he lives a couple of fields along in

Somerset and he approached Philip Glass to ask if we could put this on

and here it is, featuring a sonic laser performance by light artist

of school-macro -- conducting Army Of Generals with members of The

British Paraorchestra with the Heroes Symphony.
