CHEERING APPLAUSE | :12:10. | :12:22.
The Divine Comedy, How Can You Leave Me On My Own. You can hear a lot | :12:23. | :12:29.
more of that of course on our show on Friday. I am delighted to be | :12:30. | :12:36.
welcomed by a icon and legend, Suggs! Welcome to the show. We have | :12:37. | :12:43.
supplied you with half of beer and myself with a soft drink for the | :12:44. | :12:48.
purposes of this interview. You are back with a brilliant new dazzling | :12:49. | :12:55.
album, you opened the show with Mr Apples, who is Mr Apples? Mr Apples | :12:56. | :13:01.
could be anyone of us. He unfortunately got on a high moral | :13:02. | :13:05.
ground and was behaving like that during the day and behaving | :13:06. | :13:09.
completely differently at night. Doctor Jekyll and Mr Hyde. You could | :13:10. | :13:17.
say that. Did he get uncovered? I never got to that point, I wrote the | :13:18. | :13:20.
words and I've never quite discovered, maybe on the next album | :13:21. | :13:25.
I will find out. He was on the point of willing himself out, I know that | :13:26. | :13:31.
much. Last week we lost our great legend in the form of Prince Buster, | :13:32. | :13:38.
he was an influence on a lot of people particularly Madness. Yes, we | :13:39. | :13:42.
loved Prince Buster, his sense of humour and obviously the music he | :13:43. | :13:46.
made. At the time it was fresh, nobody seemed to be doing it. And he | :13:47. | :13:52.
gave us our name, it was a prince Buster Song, Madness. And he may | :13:53. | :14:02.
have had some influence on the way we moved about. We have got a clip | :14:03. | :14:07.
of him and I think we're both on it and I think it on our very rare one | :14:08. | :14:15.
of, the Mayday hootenanny, to celebrate the coming of spring, why | :14:16. | :14:18.
we don't do one every year I don't know. Here are some photographic | :14:19. | :14:22.
evidence. # Madness | :14:23. | :14:40.
# I am filled with gladness # It's going to be rougher | :14:41. | :14:44.
# It's going to be tougher # And I won't be the one that's | :14:45. | :14:52.
going to suffer. # I won't be the one who's going to | :14:53. | :14:56.
suffer # That's right | :14:57. | :15:03.
# I'll never be the one who's going to suffer. CHEERING | :15:04. | :15:04.
APPLAUSE . | :15:05. | :15:09.
And that is contagious dancing, I think that was Damon Albarn. Some | :15:10. | :15:19.
pop stars in the background. It doesn't matter whether you are an | :15:20. | :15:23.
old grandad, you want to get going to that music. Like yourself, we | :15:24. | :15:27.
started with doing cover versions but we found more and more, if you | :15:28. | :15:32.
play that, you get invited back the following week. People enjoying it. | :15:33. | :15:36.
Is he still an influence now? I think his sense of humour. I don't | :15:37. | :15:41.
know, it's hard to say exactly. He was quite a spiritual man. I think | :15:42. | :15:48.
music makes you feel that way. His soul will live on Le Mond we do in | :15:49. | :15:52.
some way or another. We are going to hear a tribute at the end of the | :15:53. | :16:01.
show? Just two seconds left! Thanks for joining us, Suggs. There is a | :16:02. | :16:10.
certain schedule that we must keep two. We can now welcome a marvellous | :16:11. | :16:17.
artist who has a great record out, it is a Beth Orton! | :16:18. | :16:28.
# You got a certain way I swear of sticking it in | :16:29. | :16:32.
# Even though you only ever lose or you win | :16:33. | :16:37.
# I always said I'd wait and wait and wait just to see | :16:38. | :16:41.
# But I've been waiting here since 1973 | :16:42. | :16:44.
# Looking back in time right now to 72 | :16:45. | :17:13.
# I remember all the stupid things we'd do | :17:14. | :17:17.
# Sitting round and speeding like it's 79 | :17:18. | :17:21.
# there was always somewhere else I had to be | :17:22. | :17:24.
# Looking below, well, it changed my dreams | :17:25. | :17:44.
# And now nothing is quite what it seems | :17:45. | :17:50.
# You got a certain way I swear | :17:51. | :18:10.
# I always said I'd wait and wait and wait just to see | :18:11. | :18:20.
# I've been waiting here since 1973 | :18:21. | :18:23.
APPLAUSE Thank you, Beth Orton. The song, | :18:24. | :19:21.
1973. Brand-new talent, a man with an extraordinary voice, please | :19:22. | :19:26.
welcome the Wonderful Rag 'n' Bone Man. | :19:27. | :19:53.
# But I'm only human after all | :19:54. | :20:05.
# Some people got the real problems | :20:06. | :20:48.
# Some people think I can solve them | :20:49. | :20:56.
# Oh, some people got the real problems | :20:57. | :21:46.
# Some people think I can solve them | :21:47. | :21:51.
The extraordinary talent, Rag 'n' Bone Man. Now we welcome Gallant! | :21:52. | :23:43.
# This gravity hurts when you know the truth | :23:44. | :24:13.
# And I take the blame for the both of us | :24:14. | :25:21.
# But I can't lift this on my own | :25:22. | :25:38.
# Call me anxious, call me broke | :25:39. | :25:51.
# But I can't lift this on my own | :25:52. | :26:00.
# You tried your best, is it ever enough | :26:01. | :26:13.
# When it's already dragging me down, down? | :26:14. | :26:17.
# Call me anxious, call me broke | :26:18. | :26:30.
# But I can't lift this on my own | :26:31. | :26:35.
# Call me anxious, call me broke | :26:36. | :26:45.
# But I can't lift this on my own | :26:46. | :27:03.
# When it's already dragging me down, down? | :27:04. | :27:20.
APPLAUSE Thank you. How long have we got for | :27:21. | :27:32.
this? How long? How many seconds? Thank you so much, see you on | :27:33. | :27:33.

grab yourself a seat # This may not | :28:01. | :28:02.
be uptown Jamaica # Buster bowl me over | :28:03. | :28:04.
with your bogus dance # So I'll say | :28:05. | :28:09.
