Not many bands get a crowd that size on their first ever T in the

Park. That was The Vaccines. You got to be happy with that. It was

good that. It was one of those, you will remember it for a while

moments. What did you think when you stepped out on stage? I had

been told if the tent was half full it would be something to be proud

about. Then when we walked on it was quite overwhelming, wasn't it?

Yeah, definitely. I love the fact that you have that snapshot now in

your head, you will remember it forever. It was definitely one of

those moments. The amount of noise, you know, overpowered Justin.

Paul from Franz Ferdinand on stage, love double drumming. We thought

being in Scotland we should invite a Scot on, what better way to have

it than to have a drum-off. Totally by chance Franz Ferdinand track was

played on the PA. Everyone was singing along like a football crowd

so I knew we had made the right decision. Absolutely. What a year

you guys have had in terms of when we first got hold of the album and

stuff, is it a bit of a whirlwind, are you relishing it? Have hu a

chance to step back? We have. We are all enjoying it. We have all

been in bands for ages and now we are finally sort of getting a shot

at it. We are having a lot of fun, really busy but it's been a good

year so far. You look so comfortable on stage as well like

you have been doing it forever. Does it feel like that, does it get

easier, more comfortable? We have been pushed in, we have to be

better every night and hopefully we are managing to do that. I think it

does get - I think you get more comfortable, yeah. It's weird, we

played a couple of nights ago at about 1,000 people in a club and

six months ago 1,000 people was a lot of people and it still is but

it was weird, it felt like an intimate gig. A couple of years we

will be back down to 50 a night. Come on! You are being optimistic

now. We have been getting loads of questions for you guys. What do you

do to keep occupied when you are on the road? We watch a lot of Father

Ted. I like going to the cinema. You haven't been for about six

months. The last film you saw? Can't remember. Before we started

touring I was going - well on UK tours a couple of times a week.

It's a nice form of escapism, forget who you are. It's like the

future as well, soundtracks. Yeah. Good idea. Amy says, what would be

The Vaccines favourite song by them personally. I like A Lack of

Understanding, it's not the best live but on the record. It's the

one I cringe to the least. What do you mean cringe? I think we have

made a really good record but when it's you your own music, after a

while you have heard it too much. You are not selling it really well!

It's a great record, go and buy it. What about you, have you a

favourite? I am going to say Norgaard. It sounded brilliant live

as well. Joe on Facebook says where do you get ideas for your songs?

Every day life. Our record sounds like it's been made by four young

men, lots of angst and jealousy and insecurity and love and lust.

Everything life has to throw at you. Is it a collective creative force

in terms of how the songs are formed? Yeah, it's a collective

creative force, yeah. Good phrase that, you can have that. I will.

Rob on Facebook wants to know what it's like touring with Arctic

Monkeys. Really inspirational. The first night was in Washington and

we sort of did our set and walked out into the crowd and tried to

watch them and and halfway through we realised we definitely have to

step up our game. It was a wakeup call. It's good to always challenge

yourself, whether that's seeing other bands and stuff. Definitely.

favourite moment of T then, it's your first. It is our first, we got

here very late and so our set undoubtedly. You saw a bit of

Weezer. Covering Wheatus, genius. Nice. Here's some of the other

Cheers guys. T in the Park is the best festival

in the world because the bands play for the crowd and the energy is

transferred. Festivals are pretty exciting and this is Scotland so I

know it's going to kick ass so I am looking forward to it. It's special

to me because I don't often to get to play to my fans. It's nice to be

back. It's a mix of fans, they're not snobby about who they pick.

They get people who are good and get going. It's in Scotland, which

is I guess probably our favourite place to come. It's all about the

Scottish crazy let's have it atmosphere. Don't care, let's just

go and have a good time. That agrees with Pendulum music so it's

good. Everyone knows it's going to be a massive mud bath that's going

to challenge you so everybody wants it and everyone is totally fine

someone was stood over the stage with a bucket pouring down. What do

you do with someone who's afraid of heights here at T in the Park? I

will tell you what you do, you stick them on this. You see that?

That's the Big Wheel, it's becoming obligatory thing here at T in the

Park. Every year it is here. So, what do we do? Greg James,

afraid of heights, sent him up it here I am then in, I think the best

place in T in the Park. This is the Big Wheel. What a view. It's not as

scary as that horrible thing over there which I would never go on

because I am a chicken. You have the best view, you are on your own,

it's quiet. You have The Main Stage over there. And you can see

beautiful Kinross, as well. I am happy up here for a little while

longer. Bit scared of heights though.

I literally had to wring Greg out today. I saw him in one corner of

our cabin getting changed and he was so, so wet. I got the chance to

chat to this band today, they had an amazing gig and we know you guys

are so excited to see it. We are going to head across to The Main

Stage to a band who were so excited to play T in the Park this
