headliners will be featured on BBC Three, and that's Foo Fighters.

NME stage. The lads have joined us. Hello. You've got to be happy with

that one. Absolutely freaked out by it, man. Scotland win. I'm not just

saying that because I'm here, because I needed a bit of that.

But go out there with a bit of trepidation? I went out there with

the fucking arse to be honest - sorry for swearing. Could you feel

it in the room? I'm never nervous, man. A lot of people go, if you are

not nervous you are dead. I'm not nervous, I just want a good sound.

No nerves, man. A great sense of relief, man, having walked off. The

crowd really wanted it and we played alright. It's new songs that

people don't know that well yet. It's all new, man. Somebody said to

us earlier, "Any surprises tonight?" So I said, "An hour of

'em." You guys said when Beady Eye started it is not about Oasis.

I like that. What's the reaction to the new material in the States?

They were off their Snoods. Chicago was like a home crowd, even though

we don't come from Scotland. It was just a few gigs but every one of

the venues had a good time. An exciting start. Are you feeling

that excitement? Are you feeling like a new band, in a way, of that

kind of starting out, it is that kind of thing... All the perks of a

new band with the experience of an old band. Reacting to stuff, you go,

yeah. It's like any band. I went to see the Arctic Monkeys last night

and they only played a few of their old songs. It happens to all bands,

but in band is only playing fucking 15 - sorry for swearing. These new

songs will be old songs within a year. With that said, how important

would you say festivals like T in the Park are for the development of

Beady Eye? Very important. This is where you get the people floating

by. They might hear Roller and think, "I like that." I remember

hearing that on the radio. Not Radio 1! At festivals it is not

everything that is nailed down. We'll catch you by surprise. We are

not scared to roll our sleeves up and get our hands dirty, you know

what I mean? It's got to be done, because no-one else is going to do

it for us. You've got such a history with T. Oasis played the

very first T in 1994. That was our best ever gig. We heard we were

playing in a tent tonight, so we've been doing interviews saying, "It's

great we are in a tent" and there is no tent! I'm super--chuffed you

guys have come on. Thank for having us. We are going to check out
