Hallo, good evening and welcome to T In The Park from the picturesque

:00:00.:00:30.

sass -- Strathallan Castle. We are with you all over the weekend on BBC

:00:31.:00:37.

Scotland and BBC 4, bringing you the best of the festival. We are

:00:38.:00:40.

backstage in the artist area. I will show you more of that through the

:00:41.:00:45.

weekend. We have a lovely selection of music coming up from the likes of

:00:46.:00:52.

Disclosure, Alesso, Frightened Rabbit and Bear's Den, to name a

:00:53.:00:57.

few. Let's start with a bad return to T In The Park for their sixth

:00:58.:01:02.

time. -- let's start with a band returning. They played at King Tut's

:01:03.:01:05.

Wah Wah Hut. This is The Coral. # What's up with my heart

:01:06.:01:21.

when it skips a beat? # Can't feel no pavement

:01:22.:01:24.

right under my feet # Up in my lonely room

:01:25.:01:29.

When I'm dreaming of you # I still need you,

:01:30.:01:34.

but I don't want you now # When I'm down

:01:35.:01:44.

and my hands are tied # I cannot reach a pen

:01:45.:01:59.

for me to draw the line # From this pain

:02:00.:02:04.

I just can't disguise # It's gonna hurt

:02:05.:02:09.

but I'll have to say goodbye # Up in my lonely room

:02:10.:02:13.

When I'm dreaming of you # I still need you,

:02:14.:02:18.

but I don't want you now # Up in my lonely room

:02:19.:02:58.

When I'm dreaming of you # I still need you,

:02:59.:03:13.

but I don't want you now. # Thanks very much. This is our last

:03:14.:03:34.

song. # Black as a devil

:03:35.:04:00.

She has a scalder kiss # Walk in the shadow

:04:01.:04:17.

Soft as a whisper, yeah # You've taken everything you want

:04:18.:04:27.

Then you vanish in the mist # Black is approaching

:04:28.:04:38.

Ghosts are in the sky # Voices are calling

:04:39.:04:46.

But there's nowhere left to hide # Passion is damnation

:04:47.:04:56.

Like a moth to the light # Black as a devil

:04:57.:05:36.

Sweet as a summer breeze # Deep from the night sky

:05:37.:05:44.

Trying to steal my dreams # I will be your prisoner

:05:45.:05:54.

Inside the fear machine. # One of the things I love about The

:05:55.:09:30.

Coral is you can always expect a bit of drama on stage when they play a

:09:31.:09:34.

festival. They finally got round to releasing a new album after six

:09:35.:09:38.

years. It came out earlier this year and it's fantastic. The Coral

:09:39.:09:44.

nailing it earlier at King Tut's. If you would like to see more highlight

:09:45.:09:47.

over the weekend, we will be feeding the website and the iPlayer as we

:09:48.:09:58.

get things in, so check it out. We will put performances are as and

:09:59.:10:02.

when we get them. There will be loads up there as we get through the

:10:03.:10:07.

weekend at T In The Park. We would also like to hear your thoughts and

:10:08.:10:10.

opinions on the performances, so please get in touch, either on

:10:11.:10:23.

Twitter or Instagram. Next up, a band making their T In The Park

:10:24.:10:26.

debut who are about to release their second album in two weeks. This is

:10:27.:10:29.

the brilliant Bear's Den. # Yeah, I know that

:10:30.:10:59.

I have got this all wrong # Even though your

:11:00.:11:09.

words hurt the most # I wanna believe every

:11:10.:11:27.

word that you say # And I don't know

:11:28.:11:42.

what I can do about it # So tell me how long

:11:43.:11:50.

love before you go # I don't want to know

:11:51.:11:58.

who I am without you # Yeah, I know that

:11:59.:12:23.

I have got this all wrong # And I don't know

:12:24.:12:33.

what I can do about it # So tell me how long

:12:34.:12:54.

love before you go # I don't want to know

:12:55.:12:59.

who I am without you # And I don't know

:13:00.:13:12.

what I can do about it # So tell me how long

:13:13.:13:38.

love before you go # So tell me how long

:13:39.:13:44.

love before you go # I don't want to know

:13:45.:13:55.

who I am without you # I don't want to know who I am

:13:56.:14:09.

without you. # If I am being completely honest, I

:14:10.:14:30.

had no idea there were so many members of Bear's Den, but they were

:14:31.:14:35.

wonderful earlier on today on the King Tut's stage live at the huge

:14:36.:14:40.

blue tent. It is my first time at this site, the second time T In The

:14:41.:14:45.

Park has been held here at Strathallan Castle, overlooked by

:14:46.:14:48.

this wonderful castle. I spent a lot of time wandering round, getting my

:14:49.:14:54.

bearings. There is loads of space. We are surrounded by a wonderful

:14:55.:14:59.

forest, overlooked by this Castle. It's beautiful and it feels like

:15:00.:15:02.

there is loads of space for everyone. Hopefully we can give you

:15:03.:15:07.

an idea of that through the weekend, bringing you as many performances as

:15:08.:15:11.

physically possible. Now we are going head to the main stage and a

:15:12.:15:15.

man who is no stranger T In The Park. I remember doing something

:15:16.:15:20.

with them on Radio 1 where I was persuaded, blackmail, I don't know

:15:21.:15:33.

what the right word is, to try and do the Ne;lly Furtado part of this

:15:34.:15:35.

song. This is James Morrison. # I try to hold on,

:15:36.:15:41.

but it hurts too much # I try to forgive, but it's not

:15:42.:16:20.

enough to make it all OK # You can't feel anything

:16:21.:16:29.

that your heart don't want to feel # I can't tell you something

:16:30.:16:42.

that ain't real # When I love you

:16:43.:16:46.

a little less than before? # It's like chasing the very last

:16:47.:17:05.

train when it's too late # I try to hold on,

:17:06.:17:38.

but it hurts too much # I try to forgive, but it's not

:17:39.:17:47.

enough to make it all OK # You can't feel anything that your

:17:48.:17:54.

heart don't want to feel # I can't tell something

:17:55.:18:08.

that ain't real # When I love you

:18:09.:18:12.

a little less than before? # It's like chasing

:18:13.:18:29.

the very last train # You can't feel anything that your

:18:30.:18:47.

heart don't want to feel # I can't tell you something

:18:48.:19:00.

that ain't real # When I love you

:19:01.:19:06.

a little less than before? # It's the last chance

:19:07.:19:32.

to feel again. # She did a great job, didn't she?

:19:33.:19:57.

Amazing. Much better job than anyone else could have done there. I'm now

:19:58.:20:03.

joined by Scott and Grant from Frightened Rabbit, thanks for coming

:20:04.:20:08.

in. Thanks for having us. I went round to what you in the buggy early

:20:09.:20:13.

on. We had a short window of opportunity, it was like, got to

:20:14.:20:18.

watch them. T in the Park is a special one for you. You came here

:20:19.:20:24.

as music fans before, didn't you? First weekend I was here I saw Fun

:20:25.:20:28.

Lovin Criminals, who are here tonight. Stereophonics. Yeah, it's a

:20:29.:20:35.

really special festival, you know. I remember finding a little bottle of

:20:36.:20:41.

beer and opening it against a fence, sharing the study. Drinking beer?

:20:42.:20:50.

No, ma'am, I wasn't drinking beer. She's going to be disappointed.

:20:51.:20:56.

She'll be chuffed to get a mention. Congratulations on the album, which

:20:57.:21:00.

is wonderful. You're getting a great response from that well from the

:21:01.:21:04.

fans. You spend two years making something, then... We were talking

:21:05.:21:11.

about this earlier, when you take that long to make something and then

:21:12.:21:18.

putting it out... It's like doing exams or something. It's like exam

:21:19.:21:23.

day or something. When it comes out and people actually connect with it,

:21:24.:21:28.

it's amazing that people actually still care about Frightened Rabbit

:21:29.:21:33.

after all this time. It's been a long time. How long? Ten years. We

:21:34.:21:45.

are not old. I'm quite old. OK, then I'm... I am younger. You'll always

:21:46.:21:55.

be youngest one. How do you go about picking the set now. You have this

:21:56.:21:59.

amazing collection of songs, you've got those found to be never the

:22:00.:22:03.

start. You've also got this new set of fans who are discovering you now.

:22:04.:22:09.

If that something you think about when you're putting together a set

:22:10.:22:13.

for a festival? I mean you have to, you know, and it differs each

:22:14.:22:22.

festival. This is obviously, in Scotland people have been listening

:22:23.:22:25.

for a bit longer than Belgium for example. Use that as an example. You

:22:26.:22:32.

have to think, what will people actually want to hear at this

:22:33.:22:37.

festival. You have to leave out songs people are really going to

:22:38.:22:40.

want to hear and they are going to get angry and treat you later,

:22:41.:22:44.

saying, why didn't you play this? If they given us a three hour set we'd

:22:45.:22:48.

have played everything but we're not Bruce Springsteen. Do you tweet

:22:49.:22:57.

back? It depends. In case of any bottles of beer you found. It was

:22:58.:23:01.

difficult when we went on to after the album was released, dropping

:23:02.:23:05.

songs that have been in the set for six years, five years. It makes it

:23:06.:23:14.

harder. It reinvigorates the set for us to put in new songs. And play

:23:15.:23:19.

them and see how the crowd reacts to that. You've just come back from...

:23:20.:23:24.

Are you going back out to the States? You've just been in the

:23:25.:23:27.

States, what an amazing response you've had. Congratulations, that

:23:28.:23:33.

must blow your mind. It's weird. It's strange to be so well-received

:23:34.:23:37.

somewhere like that, somewhere that's far away. We always dream

:23:38.:23:42.

duff touring the US. Then all of a sudden, you know, we've got this

:23:43.:23:48.

audience that... I think people really, really like Scottish stuff

:23:49.:23:51.

over there, any Scottish stuff. The accent. You should do dancing with

:23:52.:23:57.

the stars over there. You've not seen my dancing. Give me half an

:23:58.:24:03.

hour. Tell you what, we'll play you, I'll show you my dancing, then you

:24:04.:24:08.

should never have suggested that. As in, thank you so much for popping

:24:09.:24:14.

in. We're going to watch you now earlier on in the King Tuts

:24:15.:24:22.

Strathallan tent. Frightened Rabbit earlier on today... -- the King

:24:23.:24:31.

# Between her thumb and her forefinger

:24:32.:24:55.

# Chased it and for a minute I was floating dead above myself

:24:56.:25:20.

# I saw a glimmer in the dark She won't, she won't

:25:21.:25:33.

# And now I know she won't get out of my heart

:25:34.:25:38.

# Stick me to your lip and draw a scarlet O

:25:39.:26:03.

# I saw a glimmer in the dark She won't, she won't

:26:04.:26:25.

# And now I know she won't get out of my heart

:26:26.:26:32.

# And there's a heavenly scar She won't, she won't

:26:33.:27:10.

# That let's me know she won't get out of my heart

:27:11.:27:13.

CHEERING How's everyone doing, you all right?

:27:14.:27:43.

CHEERING This is called Living in Colour.

:27:44.:28:16.

:28:56.:28:59.

# Living in colour, living even in the blackout I know

:29:00.:29:14.

# # She pokes the iris, then she

:29:15.:29:25.

pierced a hole # And watched the colour rush for

:29:26.:29:40.

# # Living in colour, living in

:29:41.:29:45.

colour, I can see the paint on your toes

:29:46.:29:48.

# Living in colour, living even in the blackout, I know

:29:49.:29:55.

# Living in colour, living in colour # I can see the paint on your toes

:29:56.:30:00.

# Living in colour, living even as I blackout I know

:30:01.:30:06.

# And though I dreamt with a rapid eye

:30:07.:30:11.

# By day I hope to rapidly die # And have my organs laid on ice

:30:12.:30:15.

# Wait for somebody that would treat them right

:30:16.:30:19.

# And as the night started swallowing

:30:20.:30:23.

# You put the blood to my blue lips # Forced the life through still

:30:24.:30:25.

veins # Filled my heart with red again

:30:26.:30:34.

# Living in colour, living in colour # I can see the paint on your toes

:30:35.:30:42.

# Living in colour, living even in the blackout, I know.

:30:43.:30:44.

# Living in colour, living in colour # I can see the paint on your toes

:30:45.:30:48.

# Living in colour, living even in the blackout, I know.

:30:49.:31:10.

Thank you! The excellent Frightened Rabbit.

:31:11.:31:18.

Check out a new album. It's brilliant. Thank you for getting in

:31:19.:31:27.

touch. You can find us on Twitter or Instagram at @bbctinthepark, or on

:31:28.:31:32.

the hashtag #BBCTITP. Andy is watching at home. He says he is too

:31:33.:31:37.

old for T In The Park. You are never too old for that. Dan was delighted

:31:38.:31:42.

to see The Coral on and he says it has been too long. Chloe is loving

:31:43.:31:48.

Bear's Den. We think there are exciting times at it, too. I think

:31:49.:31:54.

so, too. Now some more music, a band that grant mentioned that he saw at

:31:55.:31:58.

his first ever T In The Park. It is Fun Lovin Criminals.

:31:59.:32:26.

# I talk of things that might be to her

:32:27.:32:38.

# In a voice that makes her pulse rush

:32:39.:32:42.

# Ritmo si mena ritmo si I watch her dance man

:32:43.:32:54.

# Woke up with you might roll over you

:32:55.:33:08.

# He had her love but he had to leave it

:33:09.:33:16.

# I know her love man and you just can't beat it

:33:17.:33:29.

# I just know baby it's not bad to love

:33:30.:33:32.

# So why the face girl? So why the face girl?

:33:33.:33:36.

# Just like she owns it walk down that street

:33:37.:34:17.

# Yeah, with a boom boom and a boom boom

:34:18.:34:20.

# See, I can tell # Yes, I can tell

:34:21.:35:43.

the ladies loving it a bit, Fun Lovin Criminals on the main stage

:35:44.:35:51.

earlier on. We've still got music to come from Disclosure and Alesso but

:35:52.:35:56.

now we are going to go to a band and I think it is their seventh time

:35:57.:36:00.

playing at T In The Park. This is the Courteeners.

:36:01.:36:13.

# You're just like Plasticine Being moulded into a libertine dream

:36:14.:36:17.

# But you're not and you should know better

:36:18.:36:25.

# I'll gather my thoughts on a notepad

:36:26.:36:27.

# With a Parker pen Write you a letter

:36:28.:36:30.

# But there's not enough paper in the world

:36:31.:36:34.

# You've got an OK jacket but you've got no spine

:36:35.:36:50.

# Come on, please vacate this city of mine

:36:51.:37:10.

# I only wish you had the song to back up your talk about love

:37:11.:37:14.

# We know that's not the case And you show your face

:37:15.:37:17.

# In an ancient bar that nobody goes in

:37:18.:37:21.

# Did you win? Did you what, so no-one cares

:37:22.:37:28.

# You're just like Plasticine You're moulded into a libertine dream

:37:29.:37:58.

# If you were 13 I'd let you off but you're not and you should know bette

:37:59.:38:05.

# I'll gather my thoughts on a notepad

:38:06.:38:07.

# With a Parker pen Write you a letter

:38:08.:38:09.

# But there's not enough paper in the world

:38:10.:38:13.

# Have you heard all your friends go Darya daryia lo

:38:14.:38:22.

# You got an OK jacket but you got no spine

:38:23.:38:31.

# She's had to peel me off the pavement

:38:32.:39:27.

# Asked would I like to go for tea and toast?

:39:28.:39:40.

# You're not 19 for ever pull yourself together

:39:41.:39:57.

# I know it seems strange but these things change

:39:58.:40:04.

# All night long Asked you once, I asked you twice

:40:05.:40:39.

# Asked you four times If you'd like to dance to that song

:40:40.:40:44.

# Down the stairs and then I followed you out in the rain

:40:45.:40:51.

# Never mind you'll probably never look that pretty again

:40:52.:40:59.

# You're not 19 for ever pull yourselves together

:41:00.:41:06.

# I know it seems strange but these things change

:41:07.:41:14.

# Older woman and ever so slightly younger man

:41:15.:41:19.

# God bless the band they're doing all they

:41:20.:41:40.

# You're not 19 for ever Pull yourselves together

:41:41.:41:52.

# I know it seems strange but these things change

:41:53.:41:56.

# Older woman and ever so slightly younger man

:41:57.:42:01.

# God bless the band they're doing all they

:42:02.:42:25.

# You're not 19 for ever Pull yourselves together

:42:26.:42:29.

# It's not big and you're definitely not clever. #

:42:30.:42:56.

What a huge crowd for the Courteeners earlier on. I saw Liam

:42:57.:43:20.

leaving just before we came on air, and he was walking with an

:43:21.:43:23.

incredibly large selection of shirts. I guess he went with the

:43:24.:43:29.

camouflage, the one that most went with the pastel coloured chalk dust

:43:30.:43:32.

that they had during the performance. That is my new

:43:33.:43:38.

favourite thing at festivals so far this summer. We are in the artist

:43:39.:43:41.

area, it's quite quiet. There is music still on and we are going to

:43:42.:43:47.

head over to the Radio 1 stage and catch Alesso live in a bit. First,

:43:48.:43:53.

two young lads who have worked their way up here at T In The Park. They

:43:54.:43:57.

went from King Tut's to the Radio 1 stage and this year they are second

:43:58.:44:02.

top on the main stage. This is the wonderful Disclosure.

:44:03.:44:08.

Scotland, this is a brand-new one for you guys.

:44:09.:44:57.

# She's the bars and I'm an old romantic doing favours I don't look

:44:58.:45:39.

good on paper # But when she looks behind these

:45:40.:45:44.

eyes girl I can see the psychic and baby I like it

:45:45.:45:48.

# I don't look good on paper But when she looks behind these

:45:49.:45:59.

# I don't look good on paper an old romantic doing favours

:46:00.:46:09.

# But when she looks behind these eyes girl I can see

:46:10.:46:12.

# She's the boss and I'm an old romantic doing favours

:46:13.:46:52.

# But when she looks behind these eyes girl I can see

:46:53.:46:57.

# She's the boss and I'm an old romantic doing favours

:46:58.:47:04.

# But when she looks behind these eyes girl I can see

:47:05.:47:18.

The psychic and baby I like it

:47:19.:47:21.

# She's the boss and I'm an old romantic doing favours

:47:22.:47:24.

# But when she looks behind these eyes girl I can see

:47:25.:47:32.

#The psychic and baby I like it

:47:33.:47:49.

# She's the boss and I'm an old romantic doing favours

:47:50.:47:52.

# But when she looks behind these eyes girl I can see

:47:53.:47:57.

# She's the boss and I'm an old romantic doing favours

:47:58.:48:10.

# But when she looks behind these eyes girl I can see

:48:11.:48:14.

# She's the boss and I'm an old romantic doing favours

:48:15.:48:21.

# But when she looks behind these eyes girl I can see

:48:22.:48:28.

All right, that was pretty good, but I read and we can take it up a
