Good evening and welcome to our T in the Park coverage, day two on the

BBC. You may be thinking, where is she? I will tell you. I am on the

main stage. It's not terrifying at all. Not only is the red huge crowd

out front waiting in anticipation for Mr Calvin Harris, there are so

many people on this stage getting ready for his arrival. And we will

bring you that as it happens. We're going to wait here until he is ready

but before and after that, so much more from the day two at T in the

Park. So many great performances to bring you. And you will also hear

from Calvin Harris. But a huge crowd out here already. Waiting for him to

arrive on the main stage. And we will stay here until he arrives.

Now, those gentlemen you can see on the balcony are a fact Calvin

Harris's mates, you will find out more about them and just a second.

Last Shadow Puppets, we will have more from them later, and the other

headliners, 1975, headlining on the radio one stage, and Travis,

headlining in King Tut's. Calvin Harris is back on the main stage,

headlining. He's done it before. One thing he has never done at T in the

Park is host a stag party. I caught up with him earlier. My best friend

from Dumfries runs a pub called Queen of the South. He's getting

married. You are best man? I'm best man. We have recreated his pub here,

and all of his mates I hear, everyone that goes to the pub. 50 of

them. What a nice thing to do. They are nice now, let's see what

happens. You won't be concerned about this? Well, I'll be here. You

are headlining, ninth time that the T in the Park? It's not. It's nine

years since I first played. I think I've been here seven times. I first

played in 2007. It's a long time since. I remember the last time, you

had an amazing production, it was fantastic. Is the aim to outdo the

previous time, make it bigger and better every time you come back?

Yes. It's quite simple. In terms of the records, I need to keep putting

out songs that are successful. Even to justify to myself that I should

be doing it. So, I've done that. I need to do a different production

every year. I tried a new thing out at Coachella. I didn't design it

myself. It looks out of control. Bringing it here, I know that I

can't visually do better than this. So, the music kind of... It's the

music. But as far as this goes, you can push it really far and it can

get really crazy. I like the idea of that. I know nobody else is doing

that. I remember being on a buggy with you at the old site, and we

went to the side stage and you are second on a stage. About 20 minutes

later, you could not see the back of the crowd. You thought nobody was

going to come. It was phenomenal. Amazing. Do you ever get time to...

Not reflect, but go, man, what I've achieved? I think I do that when I

come back to places like ear. The rest of the time it's just... You

are carrying on, you are in your zone. Coming back here, it resets

you. And you do remember times when you played the same festivals again

and again. You remember what happened, the situations and how

they were. It's like talking to yourself as well. You go, I remember

that buggy then, I remember Lady Gaga, she had one single out at the

time. Yes, it was a surprise. But it's been a fun time. We had Will

Smith last time. Who have we got tonight? Apart from your 60 mates

out there? I've brought Dizzee. I love him. It's going to go off out

there! That was a big turning point for both of you? Eight years since

we had a single out together, we just put another one out a couple of

weeks ago. He has come to do that. At Wireless last night, he stage

dived and didn't do the second verse. I told him not to do that.

You never know what he's going to do. You think he's going to be chill

You hear that? Pipes have started in the artist area. 1975 just walked

past and made their way back to the dressing room in the corner.

Including their two backing singers, who had black bags wrapped around

their feet to keep them clean, going through the mud. They've got to be

happy with that set, 1975 headlining on the radio one stage. Great to see

Travis back, they have a fantastic new album Everything At Once, It's

Out now. We have loads more coming up. We're going to bring you the

likes of Jack Garratt, more Last Shadow Puppets, Tom Adel to name a

Bastille, making everybody feel so happy on the main stage. They have a

new album coming in October. So much energy, constantly bouncing. I think

the Buckfast might have helped just a little bit. We have loads more to

come, more The Last Shadow Puppets on the way. But heading over to the

King Tut's tense now, a young man who was here three years ago, and

only manage two songs because he lost his voice. He is an absolute

rule that the minute. I have been playing tracks from his new album

and his debut album. Tom Modell was very happy to be back at T in the

Park today, to revisit what he should have done three years ago.

maybe, in terms of the arrival of Calvin's stag do. If you have joined

us, Calvin Harris just joined us on the main stage, and he had 60 mates

with him, because it is his mate's stag do and they have recreated his

mate's Pub in his eerie over there. I can hear the sound of things on

the go at the moment. I'm just waiting on 60 men to arrive. We will

rain like it. We were in a tent at one point and it was louder than

It's astonishing what he's able to do, he's a phenomenal guitar player,

to do everything else he does, do it all himself, I think is just

wonderful. Absolutely brilliant. Jack Garratt, filling that huge

stage. And a band that do what they do so brilliantly. I was so excited

to hear the Last Shadow Puppets were back with a new album. Everything we

have come to expect and even more excited to see they were playing T

in the Park. They were brilliant, they came on with the swagger you
