After nerve-shred ding blind auditions and knocking out their

opponents in battles, four teams of five have emerged. Led by superstar

coaches. Will.i.am. I think I have the

strongest singers. Jessie J. not have taken my top five through

if I didn't think they could rate it. Tom Jones. My team each have an

individual style and that's what's going to win. Danny O'Donoghue.

definitely have the strongest team, I think this next round is where

they're really going to come into their own. Tonight: The competition

goes live. This is what we all have been waiting for. This is where it

gets really serious. You get no second chance. You do not want to

be stepping off that stage wishing cow do it again. Live, it's live

and it's on. For the first time, you will have your say. It's down

to the public who stays and who goes home.

incredible coaches, Will.i.am, Jessie J, Danny O'Donoghue and Sir

Tom Jones. Tonight, two teams are singing for your support.

artists remain in the competition and this evening you will hear from

the ten that make up Team Will and Team Tom. It's a night of firsts

for the boys, the competition is live. And for the first time you

get your chance to vote for your favourite when the phone lines open

at the end of the show. Tonight it's crunch time for Will, Tom, and

their teams. It's me and Will.i.am. Tom has some

good singers but I have some great singers. I am not worried about

Will.i.am's team. Really? I think I have the strongest team. My singers

could rip terrifically, do I just do that? On Team Tom they're not

only great singers, they have great personalities. I am so confident in

my final five. The thing that's unique about my team, they can all

sing, really sing. This is where we come into our own. No way, Tom. I

got a singer on my team that can overcome that obstacle. Show us

what you are made of. I know what I am made of. Strong hands, ball them

up make a fist, knock them out. Boom.

Wow, boys. It's on. Neither of them wants to lose anyone from their

team. Sheer how it works. This week your votes will guarantee three

artists from each team will stay in the competition. But that will

leave Tom and Will with two artists in danger. Those two coaches must

decide which of their artists to save and who to let go. That will

be revealed on tomorrow night's results show. Our coaches think

they've been there, seen it and done it but they have never done

anything like this. Will, from the beginning this has been a

collaboration between you and your artists, hasn't it. Yeah, sure has.

Has it been easier than you thought it was going to be? It's been a

great experience, working with - getting them to a place where

they're not nervous and working through the nerves and jitters and

we became friends. I think we made a strong bond. I have had a great

time. Good to hear. Tom, for you, you have performed with a live band

hundreds of times. Give us a little idea of what what it's going to be

like for them tonight. It's going to be tough. Live television. It's

not like recorded television. You don't have a second chance with

this one. It's like sky-diving, if you like. You don't think about it,

you just dive in. Once you leap there is no going back. Exactly.

Hopefully you are going to enjoy it. Thank you. Team Danny and Jessie

comments might make the difference to Will and Tom's decision. Jessie,

what we do best, Team Will first, represented by Joelle Moses.

This week she has had a case of so many song choices and so little

time. I am to part the Red Sea, I got

Joelle Moses. I wanted to be a singer pretty much all my life. We

would be in school and pretend to be testy's -- destiny's child and I

would be Beyonce. At the final audition I turned around because

she sang Adele to the point I forgot about Adele. In the battles

it was two divas, but I picked Joelle because she came out of her

comfort zone. After securing a place in the final Joelle goes to

rehearsals to find out what Will has in mind for the first live

performance. What do you feel about Sweet Love. I don't want to mess it

up. Do you have any other suggestions. There is that

Christina Aguilera song You are Beautiful. Something by Diana Ross?

Getting the right choice is so important to me because I feel like

I need to own it. Let's do MC Hammer. Soeuf much respect for

Will.i.am. I am here with Will.i.am. I am going... How about that one.

can work with that. Joelle is a great singer. The range is

phenomenonal. She has a soulful, sweet demeanour. You have to come

with all things that you never came with before.

With this performance I want Will to see that I am a fighter, to see

that fire in my eyes. First to fight for your votes on

Well done you, lady. Do you realise you opened up the biggest show on

the TV right now? How did that feel? I can't believe it. Thank you

so much guys. I just had the time of my life there. That is good to

hear, because it's good to have the time of your life when it most

counts. Let's go straight to Will. You are on your feet, Will. I was

on my feet. What did you think? everything that we talked about

back stage, you nailed it. Right, I said - you were complaining, not

complaining but concerned you went first again. I was like you can't

worry about that, you are the bar- setter, you set the bar so all the

singers have to come after that. That's what I am talking about.

says her nerves are going crazy. Jessie, there was no nerves, right?

I said I would be honest, that was so good! Honestly, you had so much

fun with it. I felt that you didn't let the audience when they got

excited, you didn't go off, you went in. It was amazing.

Congratulations and thank you for letting us watch an incredible

performance. Amazing. Thank you. Tom, that's not easy opening a show

like this, is it? No, it's not easy. Well, I think that we have the best

seats in the house here. We didn't even pay for them. Performances

like this, we are going to be paying a lot of money to see this

did Mary J Blige proud, I don't know her, I am sure Will or Tom

Next up from Team Tom, it's Sam Buttery.

Throughout this competition Sam's been fired up, fighting and

fabulous. Sam Buttery has a huge personality.

This character comes through very much when he sings.

At the blind auditions I was just thinking please turn around, Tom. I

am a massive fan of his. I felt ecstatic really. I wanted to do one

of these cheesy film moments jumps like yeah! Obviously I didn't,

thank God. Sam got on great in the battle rounds. It was an an Elvis

Presley song and he nailed it. work with a legend like Tom is

mind-boggling. Sam reminds me of me. My mother said I could sing before

I could walk. I think Sam is exactly the same. I think he loves

singing more than anything else. rehearsals I did have a bit of a

wobble with timings. I am putting myself under pressure, because it

does mean so much to me. I felt like I had let myself down a little

bit. What do you think the problem is? I am rushing it because I am

getting all nervous about it. take it easy, that's what

rehearsals are for. Give it another go. I tried to reassure him, don't

worry about it at the moment, as long as you get it right on the

night. Tom massively put me at ease. I can't wait to show people at home

exactly what I have got. Now that moment has arrived for Sam

Ladies and gentlemen, let me hear you for Sam Buttery!

Well done. Thank you. I love you. love you too. Was that the bees

knees? It was, definitely. It was just fabulous and amazing. It's so

good to have the crowd to feed off and everything like that. Wow.

think think they loved you in here. Tom, we were just saying there

there Sam has been feeling pressure, but if that's how he handles

pressure this is exciting, right? Definitely. Sam, he was worried a

little bit about his timing in the rehearsal, but tonight spot on.

Danny? The quiff is 50s, the song 80s, but that was a timeless

performance. Behind the personality there is a great singer. The high

notes really, again you have set the bar really high for the rest.

Were you less nervous once you were out here? I think definitely I was

less nervous when I got out because I thought you are meant to have fun

and that's all I have done and all I want to do is entertain people

and if people like that, they like it. All I want to do is entertain.

I hope I have done it. I have had fun. Let's ask Will. Were you

entertained? I was truly entertained. I still have my ear,

there was a part was flat but I didn't really care, I just liked

watching you and the high neat at the end was -- note at the end was

spectacular. It was really good. Thank you so much. You got the -

Jessie? First I am going to say your vocal is great and your range

and you showed it off, but I would have preferred to see just you on

stage and not a full musical. liked that. I want to see The Voice

and I felt the dancers for me were not to my taste but I am here to

talk about your vocal and that to me just distracted from how great

you. That's my opinion and all. heard it. Vocally amazing. I am

saying the sense of I don't think you need that. You have said - I

love you said about my voice and it's the whole performance and I

want to improve and that's why we are here and I need those comments.

I agree, it's a compliment that you can carry the stage without them.

performance from both teams, supported by our incredible live

Next from Team Will it's Frances Wood.

This week instead of training she has been hanging out with her new

best buddy who happens to be a global megastar.

I like Frances perspective on the whole competition. I am from a

working class family and I am not afraid to work hard to get to where

I need to be. Everything I do revolves around my music and it's

paid off. I think the battle brought out a competitive side. It

really did test you a lot. I want to take Frances to the live rounds.

I said to myself do not cry. Did I cry? Yes, I cried my eyes out.

Let's go. There's some stuff I would like to change to make it my

own. Change it. She's always trying to fine tune her craft and that's

something to applaud. How do you feel about the live shows? A little

bit daunting but makes thee think I need to give it the best I can do.

I am so uncool. Why? I am not cool. I am like, yeah! Come on. Just the

wrist. That's worse for me. What about this? That's a diss. I really

like him. We get on well. Whatever! I think. I really, really want to

make Will proud. She's got a friend in Will, but has

for Frances! Well done. Thank you. Little Miss Frances. You are a

risk-taker, you tackled those stairs in show one. That's the

first time I have not fallen, it's a bonus. And did you love it? You

had handsome boys as well. They kept telling me to give them eye

contact. Absolute hell. I had to to keep staring. Amazing, I want to do

it again. I love you. Will, let's come to you first of all. Frances,

I am so so proud because I don't think people know, but before we

went live we were in the back, we had a Team Will huddle and it was,

let's go out there, have a good time, there's millions of people,

families, sitting around TV watching the show because maybe

they had a bad week or they wanted to see the show and you really made

me proud because you came and you entertained and smiled and loved it.

You got rid of all your nerves. You did it. Thank you. Will's been a

huge support for you. Massive. He knows so much that I don't think

people give him enough credit. He is not just a rapper, he is a

producer, he song-writes. He can sing, he can do everything and he

gives so much advice and support. This guy is brilliant. Amazing.

Jessie, let's come to you, what did you think? What's so nice about

this process is being able to see how much you have grown. I remember

when we saw new the blind auditions and I personally didn't turn around

and now I wish I did. I did! Yeah, he did. But you know what's great

as well, I know how toughs to to make covers your own and you sang

that in your own way and that's a massive thumbs up from me.

Congratulations. Thank you. Talking about singing it in your own way,

Tom you performed with Chaka Khan, how did that version compare?

bold to begin with so sing a Chaka Khan song but you did it and you

didn't try to copy it. You did it in your own way but you did it with

as much intensity as she does. Congratulations. Thank you.

Danny, finally from you? Generally, I thought maybe dance moves as well

were a little bit stiff, just a little. Your pitch start - you were

pitchy starting off with, the more the crowd came alive you started to

own it towards the end. You are only 18, it's a phenomenonal job

Will's doing. If you are this good now I can't wait to see you next

week and the week after. Thank you. Thank you very much. Well, if

In rehearsals he had problems with his song until he picked up every

rock God's best friend. Adam looks great, he sings great. The girls

are going to like him. The hardest part for him was the blind audition.

I had the fear of failure, so I am so glad I came out here today. They

went into the name dropping. I was with Elvis in Hawaii. I was in

Ireland with Michael Jackson and we were recording. I thought Will was

going to get him when he said Will.i.am. Will.i.am, I have

respect for what you do, but I would like to go with the legend

that's Tom Jones. It was funny. To win the battle again it's helped me

grow in confidence. It's so important to me. I am doing All My

Life by the Foo Fighters, it's a big rock tune. This suits you

because you have a rock edge to your voice. But in rehearsal Adam

is struggling to release his inner rock God. I am not sure about this

bit now. When he sang the song with the piano I don't think he was

confident. What about with the guitar? Yeah, I could do. As soon

as I picked the guitar up it all started to change. Yeah! I want

everyone to see I am not just someone that hides in the

background ap I am ready to give it Rock 'n' Roll big-time. Here he is

that? It Did a bit. I felt much better than rehearsal, I was

nervous in rehearsal actually. But this is great. Thanks a lot. It's

great to come on Saturday night TV and play a rock song. Thanks very

much. Bring it on when it sounds like that. Tom, he is so much more

confidence stood behind a guitar, isn't he. Definitely, when he first

came to rehearsals this time he had a slight cold, and so he was

nervous of the key. I know what that feels like, so first of all

should be taken down a little bit and I said wait and see how you get

along with it. Then when he picked the guitar up, as you saw, he was

more confident playing the guitar and now on the electric guitar he

is even more confident. He is a rock star. Danny, I know

that was so up your street. Absolutely. I hope it came across

at home the same way it did here, to see how much you have come on. I

was sitting there rocking out, going yeah, boy! Saturday night TV

and you are bringing rock to a new audience, I can do nothing but

applaud that. A little bit pitchy, but rock is about attitude and you

have it. Thank you very much. With this one it was not about about

being pretty with the vocal on this one and I know how to do something

different if I am going to stand out in this competition, that was

what it was about for me. Well done. Will, let's come to you. So, like

there's a lot of energy, from here I don't know, from here it just

looked like energetic. The band was rocking, your voice was screaming.

The graphics on the screen was beaming. But the only thing that

was missing, I know you are comfortable with the guitar, but

with all that energy it seemed like you were playing it gently. If you

rocked out a little bit more it would have been like bananas,

oranges, grapefruits and mangos. Yeah, I agree with what you say,

Will actually. I don't know if you know, I chipped a bone on my arm, I

fell off the stage in rehearsals. I am a little bit restrained from

what I would have liked to have been. But you are OK? I am great,

yeah. I was worried I wouldn't be able to play. If you are rocking

with a chipped bone, then you need... Hats off, I don't have a

hat, but if I had I would take it off. We need to get a medic in here

right away. Jessie, finally from you. You are so adorable the way

you are leaning over to the mic. Thanks! As a coach when you go to

higher notes relax your jaw. He has a chipped bone! His jaw isn't

chipped. Is your jaw chipped? hope not. You hit the notes, but in

a relax way to get them easier. You screw up your your face when you go

up high. What have you done? Nothing, I was just going to say

sorry, I agree with what you say there. I should be more confident

and go for it. You sang... Out of that. You know what was meant to go

Despite massive compliments from his coach Jaz is feeling the

pressure more than ever. Here comes the gospel according to Will.i.am.

I got Jaz Ellington. He is like the second coming of singing.

In the blind auditions one song from Jaz wasn't enough. I would

love to hear you sing again. I have the chance to sing another song,

this is a special moment. I got to the end, I noticed that it touched

Jessie and Will and I was like, wow. There's no other word than wow.

The fact that I won the battle was mind-blowing. I was like if I can

do this, I am sure I can do anything. I would dare to compare

him to Stevie Wonder, compare him to Michael Jackson. Jaz is another

one who has personality and ability. Flawless ability.

Since the blinds it's been manic. My phone's been going non-stop. I

have received so much love from people I don't know and people that

I do know. I have had so much support. Jaz is a special kind of

person and people are now being wowed by his ability and you got

like people in America buzzing, they really like you a lot. That's

really cool actually. It's humbling to hear that, it also puts me under

a lot of pressure. I am hoping I don't let anybody down.

worked with BoyzII Men. You are on the same level. Only worry is it

gets middle of the road. A gifted vocalist, just be careful. Sorry,

She's been having a crisis of confidence, but luckily she has the

best medicine - Extra Strength Tom Jones. Always read the label.

Leanne, she could blow anybody else out of the studio. I have not had

the confidence to push myself. On the blind auditions I was probably

the most nervous I have ever been in my life. To have Tom and Danny

turn around was completely unreal. She has a great tone and she's in

command of her voice. In the battle rounds I thought she took it up

that extra notch and that's what convinced me that she should win it.

Leanne is going through the live shows. I will be singing Who Knew

by Pink. It's not something I would would choose to sing. Et getting

Leanne to do something different is very important. She sounds

comfortable when she is singing big big ballads. I want her to sound

extraordinary. You have a wonderful voice, just feel it rather than

oversing it and when it starts to go and you open up, then you are

plain sailing. It's such a big thing about confidence with me and

I need to listen to what people are telling me. This is going to

enhance your chance of going further. Tom is really good at

giving you that confidence and making you believe that you can do

it. Beautiful. When Leanne steps on the stage people are going to say

who knew? Well, I knew. That's why I picked her.

that. Nerves again on the first night. You are a fantastic singer,

I turned around for you as well. Are you still sure you are on the

right team? Come on! I thought it was a fantastic performance and I

Jessie, finally from you? When I first heard you sing a song I

wasn't sure about the choice, if I am honest, I was like, mm... But

you won me over. You didn't sing it like Pink. That's the beauty of it,

and I loved it when you took the mic off and stepped forward and was

like yeah! What about the dancers? They were great! I like the spiky

Next week the fun happens. It's me and Jessie. Every single one of my

top five is unique and I am very, very happy and excited that the

world are about to see it. definitely have the strongest team,

they're not just singers. I have real, real artists. My team has

diversity, emotion and a lot of passion. My team is very genuine,

hard working, honest, likeable. Team Jessie are going to bring it

and I hope everybody is ready for the party. My artists are going to

Will, our youngest female artist, Sophie Griffin. This is her first

time staying in London. She doesn't cook, doesn't do her own washing

but what she does do is impress Will.i.am.

When I was performing on the blind audition no one was turning around

and I was honestly thinking it's over and then Will pushed his

button. I was so happy. Sophie surprised me in the battles. She is

a warrior. Winning the battle and knowing Will.i.am believed in me

was the biggest confidence boost ever. I felt so accepted. It was

incredible. I am from a tiny village in Northern Ireland, so

getting to the live shows means I am leaving home for the first time.

Thanks, mum. Sophie is looking forward going to London, I think I

am going to have to show her how to cook. She can't do anything for

herself. Which button do you press to turn it on? Having made the

journey to London Sophie throws herself into rehearsals. Sorry.

Totally messed up. She was thrown. She was like a deer in headlights.

Don't be annoyed, it's a rehearsal. I can sing that note perfectly

every time. When you are singing it perfectly every time you are not

next to a screaming guitar. I don't usually get nervous, but this is a

big thing. You are worrying about too many things. You have to get

your nerves in order. Knock it down. She is nervous, but you are not

going to see it. I might be the youngest girl in the competition

but I am not going to let the nerves get the better of me. She's

Will's warrior and she's here to fight for your votes, it's Sophie

Wow, give it up for Sophie. Well done. A little girl, a big

stage and a big note at the end there. Did you love that? Wow, it

actually feels like I am dreaming. Loved it and the audience are

make you proud, did she? Yes. You know, that talk that we had back

stage, I am so glad we had that talk, because each one of you so

far has come out and did exactly what that talk was about. Just

doing your best, getting rid of the nerves, performing like you were at

your house in front of your family, right? There's cameras here but the

cameras - behind the cameras are families, people are at their house

enjoying the show. You got to treat people like family. Hello! Awesome.

Thank you, Will. Jessie, you were young when you first started out,

you know exactly how this feels. don't know if I would have been

able to do that. You know what, I love the - technically you show

everything. The range was here, here, and that song is not easy to

sing and it's so current that it's hard, it's on the Radio right now,

you took it and went I am going to sing this. Amazing. Thank you. Tom?

Well, the first thing that I noticed was the confidence.

Somebody so young, being on live television, you know, with this

band, because I have seen the footage of where you come from and

who you have sung with before this and to sing with a band like this

on live television, being so young, it's fantastic.

Thank you. Danny, finally, from you? I thought, because in the

battle if you remember, I thought Jane Marie tipped it a little bit

and I was wondering why. I have to say, Will, you did a fantastic job

so far. A little pitchy at the start, but honestly you did

everybody back home really proud. You are 17, come on. Give it up!

Matt and Sueleen complement one another really well and that makes

them unique. We are not just a musical couple, we are also life

partners which means the fire has gone out, now we are just co-

habiting. Yeah, separate bedrooms. At the blinds we couldn't make a

decision. When you have been in a relationship as long as we have,

you see these problems coming and you do your best to eradicate them.

The coin sorted that one out. pleased the coin came down heads,

because I was heads. In the battle rounds they rose to the occasion

and the harmonies clinched the deal. We are going to be singing Go Your

Own Way. Because they're a couple that is a perfect song for them.

weren't sure about the song. They love Fleetwood Mac but didn't know

whether they wanted to do this song and I am pleased that they decided

on doing it. Once we got into it, you know, how they work together, I

think it's a perfect song for these two wonderful singers. Thank you

very much. Danny, let's come to you. You know, you may sleep in separate

rooms, but honestly your voices are married together. The harmonies are

fantastic. I grew up in a house where I used to sing with my sister

and brother and you remind me of that. It warms my heart to see.

did you think? When I was listening to you guys sing I was just

imagining when you guys are putting out music of your own and touring

and writing songs that are yours, I just can't wait to see that. The

stage of this competition. They're the only ones left. It's a tough

place to be, because you kind of feel like you have a lot to prove,

but you proved it. You know what, I love your cheesy joke, but the coin

thing - and I love Tom. But, it's crazy because I am sitting going

they could have been mine. You guys do such a great job. The song

For Tyler this competition is as much about finding himself as

finding his voice. For Tyler the blind auditions were

a chance to close one chapter of his life and open a new one.

last 12 months has been the hardest of my life because I lost my best

friend Amy. My whole world collapsed. I didn't want to go

anywhere, do anything. Then I just thought life's too short so I went

for The Voice. I realise no one had turned around, I thought just go

for it and tried to sing the highest tphoelt possible. -- note

possible. I turned for Tyler because he had so much soul. Will

was challenging me in the battle. He wanted me to bring something to

that song. I tried to make it my own. Tyler is a star. He is born

with it. Like you come out, like star styles, that's Tyler. It's a

big 80s song and I wanted to do an emotional slowed down version of it.

We do do -- we could build it up before the chorus to break it down

on the chorus. We could have me sing with the piano. That's fresh.

He is a true artist, he knows exactly what he is looking for.

like. He picked me and I was nervous and slowly my confidence is

When you were singing I had a little imagination thing, dreaming

again, so I imagined that we are on tour together, right. APPLAUSE AND

CHEERING. And then I imagined like after the tour, after we perform,

you go to the dressing room and all the girls they pass by our dressing

room and go to your dressing room and I am like what?! I have been on

those tours, oh, they want to come in the back and leave to the other

groups. They're going to be going to your dressing room, because

everything you do was super megafresh. You found the emotion

that we were talking about back stage. You found the emotion. I

felt it. It was emotional, every lick was licked. It was fresh.

Thank you, Will. Jessie? I love the simplicity of it, from there to

there, perfect. You seemed to comfortable. It was a great song

choice and you know what, it's tough for a guy to sing up that

high and you couldn't even hear the break. Well done. Tom, if you were

Tyler's coach what would you be advising him? Well, if I had been

his coach on this show, I would have done exactly the same as Will

did. I think the song choice was perfect. I have never heard anybody

sing as strong with a falsetto voice as with a full voice. Thank

literally go on radio now, I could go on iTunes something later and

download an amazing version of that song, I hope in your future album

you do it. The falsetto is unbelievable. People are singers

She nearly missed her chance at the blind auditions until one meganote

impressed one megastar. The strength in Ruth is not oepl

her voice, -- only her voice but it's the emotion she shows.

blind auditions came at a challenging time for Ruth. My dad

passed away and my audition was two days before his funeral. It was

hard to deal with. I noticed that nobody turned around and my last

note I just gave it everything. last note she she held it for 17

seconds, I mean I wasn't counting but that clinched the deal for me.

Ruth in the battle rounds was full of emotion, that's what convinced

me that this girl is different. How are you feeling since last time I

saw you? Nervous. With a voice like that you shouldn't be nervous.

was weird working with him, it's not like something you do every day.

I sang with Aretha Franklin once. She has so much volume and

expression, you remind me of her. You need something to show your

voice off. I am singing Get Here. She gets into that song so much.

It's like I am singing out to my dad. Doesn't matter how far you are,

you are still by me. She means what she sings. Great. I hope she comes

over on television as strong as she does in the room, because a voice
