A lot of bluegrass is very technical

and a lot of bluegrass fiddlers practise Bach.

In a way, it's close to jazz.

It's in between old-time music and jazz.

There's lots of licks in bluegrass music

and they have their own way of playing,

their own way of phrasing things

and you've got to be pretty slick to get into that.

We're always on the go.

So to get to know people a little bit better as well, has been incredible.

I come from a lot of working class people who just get jobs

and go to work and that's kind of what I was planning on doing.

Once I sort of put the music out there a little bit, got on stage,

was hanging around with songwriters and musicians, it really got me.

I really started to be inspired and wanting to give it a go.

So I figured if I can pay my rent and I can buy some food, I'm cool.

I have just been here for, like, two days

and I've already just been so inspired and started writing songs.

Great.

It's been amazing and, I mean,

especially at such an young age, to get to be a part of all this

and be surrounded by so many amazing musicians,

it's an amazing learning experience.
