PHIL CUNNINGHAM: I was supposed to be a zoologist.

I had a little tussle with my school,

and I left school for a year to let the dust settle.

I joined the band for a year 35 years ago.

I'm very pleased! PHIL AND ANOTHER MAN LAUGH

I'm always surprised when somebody phones me up.

I'm like, "Really? Oh, great", you know?

So I'm still living under that illusion

that nobody kind of knows me.

It's kind of a nice place to be cos there's no expectation then.

And I don't really worry about it and I just hope that

whatever it is you do goes out

and, "Comes back 100-fold", they say, don't they?

'The level of musicianship is amazing.

'They wrote a new melody to go with the chord changes of the song that I was singing.'

I would have never dreamed that could have been done in that tune.
