All across the country, millions of families are waking up to a Britain

in which they find it harder to get on,

whilst the Tory-Lib Dem Government

keep telling people everything's fixed.

Many are finding that hard work

no longer stops the pound in their pocket getting smaller

or the bills getting harder to afford.

Under David Cameron, gas and electricity bills have increased

over £300 for an average family, whilst energy companies

are making huge profits.

In Wales, we know that hard-working families

need our support.

That's why, while the Tories have closed

hundreds of Sure Start centres in England,

Welsh Labour have invested in Flying Start,

increasing childcare.

Whilst claiming to be cutting taxes,

David Cameron has put up taxes 24 times on hard-working families.

His increase in VAT alone has cost the average family £450,

by putting up the price of dozens of everyday essentials.

However, there is one group that he does care about.

David Cameron's priority has been the most privileged,

who have been handed huge tax cuts worth many thousands of pounds

while personal debt for ordinary families is rising

and their wages continue to be squeezed.

And now the Tories are planning another tax giveaway

for the top 1% of earners.

We all remember how the Lib Dems broke their promise on student fees.

As a result, many students in England face years of debt.

But Welsh Labour didn't turn its back on our young people.

We acted to protect students from Wales

against the burden of higher fees.

Welsh Labour are working hard to avoid a lost generation.

Our Jobs Growth Wales scheme has now created some 12,000 job opportunities

for young people.

Under David Cameron and Nick Clegg,

the average working person is a shocking £1,600 worse off a year.

Dealing with this government's cost-of-living crisis

has never been so important.

Welsh Labour is standing up for Wales.

We want a country that works for everyone,

not just the privileged few.

Labour will freeze energy bills until 2017

by standing up to rip-off energy companies,

build on the success of Jobs Growth Wales

with the Jobs Guarantee providing employment for young people,

cut tax for 24 million people.

The Bedroom Tax has forced thousands of people to food banks.

Only Labour will scrap the Bedroom Tax.
