Life is quite difficult at the moment.

Things are quite hard, money-wise.

Everything just seems to be going up. Food, electricity, gas, petrol.

Everything is going up and wages aren't going up.

It is a bit of a worry.

Pressure on family finances is reaching boiling point

and people need help.

That is why Liberal Democrats believe we should

be cutting taxes for millions of working people across this country.

The Liberal Democrat plan to make the first £10,000 you earn tax-free

would deliver a £700 tax cut for ordinary working people.

That's an extra £60 in your wages every month.

That's why I believe we should do all we can

to deliver faster tax cuts,

funded by increasing the amount paid by the richest.

We're targeting wealthy tax avoiders.

We're taking extra tax from the banks.

And we're stopping pension tax breaks for the super-rich.

We're also investing in the future.

Green energy, apprenticeships and youth employment.

Do you think there are lots of jobs in the green economy for the future?

Oh, yeah, definitely. Everyone's so excited about it.

Your enthusiasm is actually contagious, it's wonderful.

£35 million business...

'From April, our Youth Contract will give

'every 18-24-year-old the chance to earn or learn.'

And we're pumping millions of pounds directly into schools,

helping all children through the Liberal Democrat Pupil Premium.

It is just so uplifting to see little children

who are directly benefiting from a policy that we Liberal Democrats

have believed in for years and are now delivering in schools like this.

We know it's tough to make ends meet right now, and I know this

Government has had to take some really tough decisions too.

But it is the young people of today,

and the millions of hard-working Britons,

who will deliver the nation through this time of economic uncertainty.

That's why Liberal Democrats in the Coalition Government

are determined to do the right thing

and give you real help at a time you need it most.
