The Conservative Party is putting Britain back on its feet

after Labour brought our country to its knees.

We're fixing the economy, we're reducing the deficit

and we're cutting income tax

so hard-working people have more money in their pockets.

We're planning for the long term

so we can all enjoy a brighter future,

backing people who want to work hard and do the right thing.

We are on the right track.

By taking tough decisions to help people today,

we're restoring our fortunes at home and our reputation abroad.

This is what Conservatives are doing right across the country,

in local government, in the National Assembly,

at Westminster and in Europe.

In Wales, we know that European money has helped

some of our poorest communities,

but we also know that people today feel the EU

is heading in the wrong direction.

It's why David Cameron wants a new settlement

which is better for Britain and better for Wales.

Next year, you'll be asked to vote in elections

and decide who stands up for Wales in Brussels.

It will be a clear choice between the Conservatives,

who've promised to give you a say on Britain's future in Europe,

a new settlement based on fairness, on flexibility,

making both Britain and Europe more competitive,

or Labour, who'll deny you a voice

while handing over more power and more money to Brussels.

Under Labour, Britain's problems went beyond the deficit.

As new powers emerged across the world,

Britain fell behind in the global race

and Wales fell behind the rest of Britain.

For the last three years,

the Conservative Party has worked hard

to put our country back on track.

In the coming months, we'll ask people to let us finish the task.

We know that Britain deserves better -

better than Ed Miliband's same old Labour,

better than Carwyn Jones's same old Labour, too.

All they promise is more spending, more borrowing, more debt,

services cut or downgraded, choice denied,

exactly what got us into a mess in the first place.

We know there is much still to be done

to undo the damage of the Brown/Blair Labour government.

It's why the choice in the coming months is clear -

letting Labour make a mess of our country all over again,

or Conservatives, helping businesses create more jobs,

helping hard-working people with the cost of living,

supporting the elderly, the vulnerable and those most in need.
