-Aled Davies of Cyhoeddiadau'r Gair,

-along with his wife Delyth...

-What exactly was your input, and

-more importantly, who's the boss?

-I wouldn't like to answer that...

-is a Cyngor Ysgolion Sul project.

-the main denominations in Wales.

-What's been exciting

-over the past four years...

-..is working in tandem with people

-representing the denominations.

-They've selected and commissioned...

-..and it's been exciting

-being part of that.

-Everyone has given their input

-to create a remarkable collection...

-..of more than

-400 Christian songs for children.

-Who's your target audience?

-The anthology is very diverse.

-It includes simple songs for small

-children that are easy to learn...

-..along with songs targeted

-at older children and young people.

-We hope that family services within

-the Church, Sunday schools...

-..youth clubs...

-..and primary schools,

-where daily worship is the norm...

-..will embrace it.

-This is

-an ambitious project, Delyth.

-Yes, it's enormous...

-..when you consider

-there are more than 400 songs.

-Compiling them was hard work

-and a lot of thought went into it.

-How the book was going to fit

-on the piano was one consideration.

-We got around that by

-publishing the book in two volumes.

-A lot of work goes into producing

-a book with so many songs in it.

-Prominent songwriters

-have contributed to the book.

-Yes, indeed,

-and among the more modern songs...

-..are poems jointly written

-by Mererid Hopwood and Tudur Dylan.

-We've also commissioned songwriters

-to write modern melodies.

-People like Tecwyn Ifan,

-Gwyneth Glyn, Robat Arwyn...

-..and Ynyr Roberts, Brigyn.

-They've all

-contributed songs to the book.

-What influence is Canu Clod

-likely to have on Welsh youngsters?

-I hope the songs

-will stay in the mind...

-..especially the children's songs.

-But there are also songs

-that are suitable for young people.

-I think songs like that

-can inspire...

-..and help young people

-to reflect on their faith.

-can do marvellous things.

-I like Easter Sunday because

-we can eat lots of chocolate eggs.

-It's nice at that time of year.

-..are sheep, cows and dogs.

-My favourite story is the Creation

-when God created the world...

-I like going to Sunday school

-because it's fun.

-you have a good time with friends...

-and you get to worship God.
