Hello again! It is all happening, not just here in Glasgow, but over

:00:25.:00:36.

in Carnoustie. Jennifer Mack and toss -- Jennifer McIntosh of

:00:37.:00:40.

Scotland is in the 50 metres rifle event. If she was to win a medal

:00:41.:00:46.

it'll be her faith in the Commonwealth Games, which would be a

:00:47.:00:48.

record for a Scottish women in this event. She is currently lying in

:00:49.:00:52.

silver medal position. That is on BBC Three right now. We have a date

:00:53.:01:01.

across the river at the Hydro. This is the closing stages of the women's

:01:02.:01:06.

team are final in gymnastics. Australia are on the floor and only

:01:07.:01:24.

then and Canada could stop could stop them winning gold tonight.

:01:25.:01:35.

That would be a huge production. Maybe 1.5 in total. Not the start

:01:36.:01:43.

they would have wanted. Definitely not. Problems for her.

:01:44.:02:02.

Those first two tumbles did a huge amount of damage.

:02:03.:02:17.

Two and a half twists. She needs to keep focus. It is about damage

:02:18.:02:27.

limitation now. She can't afford another mistake in

:02:28.:02:48.

the tumble. Double tuck. A nightmare start, I think we can say. Two big

:02:49.:02:57.

problems. It is pressure, isn't it? It is obvious that they'd know what

:02:58.:03:02.

is at stake. That first tumble was a long way out. Amazing that you would

:03:03.:03:07.

miss judge by so much. It is amazing that she would miss

:03:08.:03:25.

judge that much. Very smooth in the free cartwheel.

:03:26.:04:30.

Plenty of difficulty in this routine. Again, the somersault. Five

:04:31.:04:44.

acrobatic skills, three leaps, jumps or spins to get your difficulty

:04:45.:04:50.

score. Here, the dismount. Double tuck, that was good, a lot better

:04:51.:04:53.

than the first gymnast. Wheels is very much in contention

:04:54.:05:13.

for the bronze medal. That score will not help Australia. I think

:05:14.:05:19.

that was quite fortunate score, to be honest. It was.

:05:20.:05:35.

Larrissa Miller, 22 years old. I often think how disorientating it

:05:36.:05:47.

can be in an arena like this, you are so used to practising in your

:05:48.:05:51.

gym, and all of a sudden you end up in the corner you are not used to.

:05:52.:05:53.

She is vastly a -- experienced. Very confident through the leaps. So

:05:54.:06:08.

far, so good. Lots of power through the flick.

:06:09.:06:39.

Double Arabian. This is more like what Pierce trillions would have

:06:40.:06:40.

hoped to see. -- the Australians. Lots of nerves. She has to nail

:06:41.:07:33.

this. And she didn't. So, the Australians are faltering. Well, I

:07:34.:07:40.

spoke to Larrissa Miller yesterday and she said how much they were

:07:41.:07:43.

relying on these two pieces of apparatus. They were counting on

:07:44.:07:51.

today. So far, it is not working out. Not only did she fall, but she

:07:52.:07:59.

finished massively after the music. Inexplicable. Yes. She had some

:08:00.:08:06.

great bets in it, like this. The double Arabian was absolute

:08:07.:08:13.

precision. The high! Superb into the job. Then it was almost like she ran

:08:14.:08:16.

out of steam. Canada are chasing bronze. Very

:08:17.:08:34.

compare apples to the Welsh scores. -- compare rubble -- you can compare

:08:35.:08:42.

that closely to the Welsh scores. Elizabeth Black was 15th in the

:08:43.:08:54.

world Championships on this piece of apparatus. The experienced member of

:08:55.:09:01.

the Canadian team. Very powerful, very strong. Straight off. That will

:09:02.:09:16.

be costly. Actually, she looked very solid on this in training. Like

:09:17.:09:19.

that. Here comes another big difficulty

:09:20.:09:52.

backflip. That was very well performed. Well held.

:09:53.:10:01.

Good leaps. Now she has got into her stride, she is very strong. Another

:10:02.:10:11.

front somersault. A big dismount. After she had

:10:12.:10:30.

followed off, the rest was great! We know that the Welsh team are

:10:31.:10:36.

watching. I have seen them up there. This is getting to be very, very

:10:37.:10:41.

nerve wracking. What is happening out there? Larrissa Miller, as if

:10:42.:10:50.

there wasn't enough weight on the shoulders after that score.

:10:51.:11:02.

Lauren Mitchell is not in the best shape of her life, but she is very

:11:03.:11:06.

gutsy. She is away. Phil twisting double. A

:11:07.:11:20.

huge tumble to open. More like it. Double tuck Arabian. She has started

:11:21.:11:35.

well. Two very impressive tumbles. I hope it is not too late for the

:11:36.:12:06.

Australians to mind a serious challenge. She is rising to this

:12:07.:12:14.

particular challenge. Two and a half twists punch tuck.

:12:15.:12:36.

Looking to salvage something for the Australian team. The double pike was

:12:37.:12:44.

nicely done. She couldn't have done any better. A different class to the

:12:45.:12:49.

other performances. That was beautiful. Relieving a little bit of

:12:50.:12:57.

tension. They will be very jittery, the Australians. That was a great

:12:58.:13:04.

job, it really was. She showed all her class. She has always had that

:13:05.:13:13.

class. Elizabeth Black scores 13.966. That is quite a high score,

:13:14.:13:22.

considering. Yes, because she had won Markoff, so would've been

:13:23.:13:26.

14.966, so, very high. This is Maegan Chant. Very nice

:13:27.:13:50.

flip. Straight back somersault. Smoothly into her jumps.

:13:51.:14:02.

Lovely height on the first leap. The second one was a little bit more

:14:03.:14:14.

flat. Really, she was short of power for

:14:15.:14:28.

that. Big dismount. She needs a big

:14:29.:14:49.

dismount. Double pike. That was well landed. The damage was done in the

:14:50.:14:54.

middle. The damage could well have been done, but it could be to the

:14:55.:15:01.

advantage of Wales. They would make history, Wales, just as Scotland

:15:02.:15:06.

did. They have never won a team medal. There they are waiting

:15:07.:15:07.

expectantly. Opening. So a last chance to scrape as many

:15:08.:15:34.

points together as possible before been. Olivia Vivien takes to the

:15:35.:15:38.

floor for Australia. No doubt she did not have an idea it

:15:39.:15:57.

would be so crucial for the team effort for Australia. The double

:15:58.:16:08.

twist. And just a little lean to one side from the spin.

:16:09.:16:25.

Two and a half twists, walked away from it a little bit.

:16:26.:17:00.

Here she goes, final tumble. The double pike, but again, a loss of

:17:01.:17:15.

control, and was the foot out? Big problem with the apparatus for

:17:16.:17:21.

Australia, no doubt about it. Yes, and fuelling a little bit

:17:22.:17:26.

desperate now. They have won this title for games on the trot, and are

:17:27.:17:37.

going for aphids. -- a fifth. Chant, 12.3334 Canada, certainly

:17:38.:17:45.

lower than Wales for that piece of apparatus.

:17:46.:17:53.

I was going to say, the lustful routine for Australia, not really

:17:54.:17:57.

beautifully danced. A very average routine.

:17:58.:18:05.

It turned out to be crucial. Bless her, but she did not come up with

:18:06.:18:11.

the goods. She fought hard, plenty of heart.

:18:12.:18:20.

Australia, not having a good Commonwealth Games.

:18:21.:18:27.

Not so far. But we still have one piece to go. The apparatus that

:18:28.:18:36.

Australia are renowned for. For their sake, I wonder if they can

:18:37.:18:44.

keep their heads together. There is a watt riding on this piece of

:18:45.:18:45.

apparatus. The Welsh team, absolutely in the

:18:46.:19:09.

zone. It would be great for them,

:19:10.:19:13.

fabulous. Going into this, we talked, even

:19:14.:19:20.

before podium training, wondering, fifth, fourth. Australia are hoping

:19:21.:19:31.

for a few more points than that. England ahead, Wales in third, only

:19:32.:19:36.

three marks behind at this stage. The warm up for the final piece of

:19:37.:20:11.

apparatus. What will the next ten minutes hold? Wales, England,

:20:12.:20:24.

Australia, Canada. There have been so many surprises and upsets. The

:20:25.:20:33.

Australian floor, it floored me! Very unexpected. Stefanie Merkle

:20:34.:20:48.

aiming for Canadian bronze in the team final.

:20:49.:20:54.

A big opportunity for her, how crucial this is, full twist double,

:20:55.:20:58.

no problem. Second tumble. Two and a half twists

:20:59.:21:34.

into punch tuck. Managing to project a lot of character. Third one up.

:21:35.:21:37.

Triple twist. Third tumble, is she safely through?

:21:38.:22:04.

This is a good platform for Canada indeed, a good tumble, great start

:22:05.:22:10.

for Canada. Yes, job done. It starts to build

:22:11.:22:18.

with difficulty. Secure one, then just ill, everything you get is a

:22:19.:22:25.

bonus. A good start without a shadow of a doubt.

:22:26.:22:37.

The best gymnast the Australians have on this piece of apparatus.

:22:38.:22:45.

Straight into the very difficult cartwheel. She saved it very well.

:22:46.:22:55.

Smooth spin. You can see she is very precise and her work.

:22:56.:23:03.

Building her difficulty. Just held on.

:23:04.:23:19.

The job where the gymnast takes the head right off the beam, tries to

:23:20.:23:26.

touch the head with the feet. Very nice jump, linking the two,

:23:27.:23:35.

gives you a bonus. There have been a couple of moments

:23:36.:23:50.

she has had to fight but it has been a good routine. Good double pike,

:23:51.:23:55.

they will be happy with that as a start.

:23:56.:23:59.

Impressive routine under extreme pressure.

:24:00.:24:07.

There were some wobbles, although it was difficult. Merkle, 13.633.

:24:08.:24:20.

A bit higher than the best of the Welsh girls.

:24:21.:24:42.

Isabella Onyshko, aiming for something in the region of 13.35.

:24:43.:24:57.

Traumatic ? the second Canadian off an impressive start. -- dramatic

:24:58.:25:15.

double. Double Tok, but she is out of the area. Interesting to see if

:25:16.:25:23.

she got both feet in on the landing before she bounced out. She attacked

:25:24.:25:24.

that very confidently. Double pike. Just the question

:25:25.:26:05.

whether she did land, on the one half twist, if she got the landing

:26:06.:26:16.

in the area. It will be very tight. She is a nice, elegant, supple

:26:17.:26:25.

gymnast. Here we go. They are really quite unpredictable, we have seen

:26:26.:26:32.

that from a couple of people. She landed in and then she bounced out.

:26:33.:26:38.

But it will be a 0.5 that option with those steps she had to take. --

:26:39.:26:48.

deduction. Georgia Rose Brown. She had a

:26:49.:27:07.

nightmare on the floor so will hope to do her country proud her.

:27:08.:27:17.

An elegant, long leg to gymnast. She will want to put that all behind

:27:18.:27:29.

her. Smooth and the leaks. -- in the leaps. She is having to fight to

:27:30.:27:40.

keep on, very difficult, the illusion turn. She is off, it was

:27:41.:28:03.

only a matter of time, she was fighting so hard during the routine.

:28:04.:28:13.

She is struggling here. Good front somersault. She for -- isn't quite a

:28:14.:28:34.

nerve wracking situation. She has had a wonderful and we want to be

:28:35.:28:46.

precise with the dismount. -- one fall. You can normally bank on the

:28:47.:28:58.

Australians on the beam but they have not really reduced. --

:28:59.:29:04.

produced. She is highly competent in the leap.

:29:05.:30:06.

She did it. She did it with fabulous ease.

:30:07.:30:27.

half twists, into double pike. A little stagger forward. This is such

:30:28.:30:35.

a powerful, impressive stuff. And expressive, too.

:30:36.:30:55.

It was deep. Lucky to get away with that! Well, she attacked debt! I'm

:30:56.:31:08.

my reckoning, Canada needs to gymnasts over 13.609. Well, that had

:31:09.:31:15.

some great work, but there were two bad landings in it. She does that

:31:16.:31:23.

amazing middle Tom -- tumble. The two and a half twists, walk-out,

:31:24.:31:31.

into a round of lip double pike. It is worth a lot, but if you stumble

:31:32.:31:35.

forwards like this, it loses all that it was worth. It has to be five

:31:36.:31:46.

tenths, doesn't it? It does, indeed. 11.24 Georgia-Rose Brown. Not good

:31:47.:31:50.

enough. Quite simply, not good enough. Absolutely.

:31:51.:32:04.

Lauren Mitchell for Australia. Extremely experienced, a wonderful

:32:05.:32:13.

beam worker. Already started with a very difficult set.

:32:14.:32:23.

This is the spin that she is so well-known for. One, too, and a

:32:24.:32:49.

little bit before the hands came down. She does that so well. A very

:32:50.:32:56.

smooth walkover. She fixes the middle of her body so effectively.

:32:57.:33:09.

She uses her core. Stomach muscles. She controls centre of gravity.

:33:10.:33:18.

That was really, very low. I think she just manage to squeeze it in.

:33:19.:33:35.

Just. It was close! Millimetres! It is the second time her performance

:33:36.:33:40.

has been crucial. The work on the beam was good, strong, but there

:33:41.:33:49.

will be a big deduction. A score of 13.633 four Elsabeth Black. They

:33:50.:33:55.

were closing in, but it is not want to be good enough. They needed 15.

:33:56.:34:03.

Do they have another gymnast to go? Yes, but for up. Megan Champ still

:34:04.:34:14.

has her chants. With everything to do. --

:34:15.:34:39.

Phil twisting double pike. Another big, big tumble. -- Phil twisting

:34:40.:34:48.

double pike. She just eddies herself before the

:34:49.:35:09.

spin. A lack of control at the end of it. We have seen some fabulous

:35:10.:35:18.

tumbling. A big double tuck. A bit of a bouncer. I think she went out

:35:19.:35:20.

of the floor. Good leaps. pike. That is secure. Well, I really

:35:21.:35:49.

powerful gymnast. Well, there is a mark between Canada and Wales at the

:35:50.:35:50.

moment. powerful gymnast. Well, there is a

:35:51.:35:53.

mark between Canada and I do not think that that is going to be good

:35:54.:35:58.

enough. I think Wales are guaranteed a medal. Which would be

:35:59.:36:05.

unbelievable! Absolutely fantastic! I will pile on the pressure. 13.866

:36:06.:36:12.

for Australia and they have gone ahead of Wales. So, this is a bonus

:36:13.:36:21.

to try and get closer to England. They are six marks away, England are

:36:22.:36:26.

safe. Australia are guaranteed a silver. Wales, I am sure, have

:36:27.:36:37.

bronze. Well, the final gymnast for Australia in this team competition.

:36:38.:36:45.

She has fallen off on her first element on the layout somersault.

:36:46.:36:50.

So, the scores will remain as they are.

:36:51.:37:01.

So, the change in fortunes for Australia towards England. This is a

:37:02.:37:13.

slow routine. We have spoken about gymnasts needing to have rhythm and

:37:14.:37:19.

speed on the beam. Just a little bit more rhythm needed here. Good leap.

:37:20.:37:28.

She was about to go into a second league but changed her mind, when

:37:29.:37:33.

poor security. That was not a good leap, bent legs.

:37:34.:37:45.

She is the second gymnast from Australia to come to grief on that

:37:46.:37:52.

move. It is quite tricky on the beam.

:37:53.:38:00.

Now, she really just wants to dismount securely. Watch the beam.

:38:01.:38:09.

Make the double twist. She does. This has not been a sparkling

:38:10.:38:12.

performance from Australia on the beam. Australia will not retain

:38:13.:38:19.

their title of teen Commonwealth champions for a fifth consecutive

:38:20.:38:25.

games. Canada will not be able to get up into the bronze medal

:38:26.:38:35.

position. We will see very shortly, 13.133 four Maegan Chant on the

:38:36.:38:41.

floor. Wales have made history. For the first time they get a medal in

:38:42.:38:49.

the team competition. Absolutely fantastic. I am thrilled for the

:38:50.:38:55.

Welsh team, and the national coach who has led themselves strongly for

:38:56.:39:01.

the last eight years. What a performance from them. Chris,

:39:02.:39:06.

you are close to tears. Isn't this a wonderful moment? Australia were not

:39:07.:39:13.

strong enough to fight off England. England taken by six marks. The

:39:14.:39:19.

Welsh daffodils are in bloom! So they should be! Absolutely

:39:20.:39:26.

fantastic. I was very surprised with Australia and Canada, how they

:39:27.:39:32.

really faltered. They have been forces to be reckoned with in the

:39:33.:39:39.

past. Australia, although they got a silver, they will not be happy. It

:39:40.:39:46.

is a long time since England's... In fact, have England's ever taken the

:39:47.:39:53.

men and women's titles together? It's the first time. That was not a

:39:54.:39:59.

happy beam routine right from the beginning. True false. This will

:40:00.:40:06.

effect the finals quite a lot, as well. We will have a lot of

:40:07.:40:15.

different faces in the finals, I am sure.

:40:16.:40:21.

We wait for this score. Was that completely unexpected? When I

:40:22.:40:33.

watched the podium training, they did not look too strong. They looked

:40:34.:40:38.

vulnerable on the beam, to be perfectly honest. Generally, they

:40:39.:40:43.

have not been so strong around the world. We don't see them in

:40:44.:40:48.

competition because they are so far away from us. This is one routine

:40:49.:40:54.

that produced what we expected from the Australians. She looked very

:40:55.:41:02.

slow through this dismount series. You have to build the power. She is

:41:03.:41:16.

not a tiny gymnast that can rotate very fast.

:41:17.:41:25.

Very exciting, this team competition. I think the judges are

:41:26.:41:31.

considering a protest from Australia. Let's see what happens. I

:41:32.:41:37.

think we are still waiting for the final score. I don't think we have

:41:38.:41:42.

actually had Olivia Vivian's score. That is probably why the star is

:41:43.:41:51.

there. We are still waiting for the score from Olivia Vivian. She fell

:41:52.:41:56.

off, so there is no chance of accounting. Beth, we were taken

:41:57.:42:02.

aback. The Welsh team is up at the top there looking down. What a

:42:03.:42:06.

competition for them to be watching, wondering what the outcome will be.

:42:07.:42:11.

It was so exciting to watch! The battle for third and fourth, I think

:42:12.:42:20.

it was more nerve wracking watching Canada against Wales rather than

:42:21.:42:26.

England against Australia. You just need to put down your score, walk

:42:27.:42:32.

out and keep everything crossed! You could see wheels nervously sitting

:42:33.:42:37.

there. Even when they were confirmed as third they still looked nervous.

:42:38.:42:41.

What does it feel like to be first and to make history? It is amazing.

:42:42.:42:46.

Tracy has been working with a team for over eight years now. It means

:42:47.:42:52.

so much to her. She was in tears at the end of the competition. The

:42:53.:42:56.

girls have worked so strongly. You could not have asked for any more of

:42:57.:43:01.

them. We wondered if Australia would be strong enough. Were you slightly

:43:02.:43:05.

disappointed with what you saw? I saw them during podium training and

:43:06.:43:10.

you could tell they were struggling. Yesterday they came out and

:43:11.:43:13.

performed at their best. I wasn't sure what they would come out with.

:43:14.:43:21.

I think the difference was something like six marks in the end.

:43:22.:43:29.

Overnight, England had a lead of 1.5 marks. Each issue to what is

:43:30.:43:36.

happening in gymnastics and the home nations. We have so much strength in

:43:37.:43:43.

depth. Claudia putting out such a great score on the floor. That was

:43:44.:43:47.

1.5 marks over what anybody else was posting. Despite -- apart from

:43:48.:43:56.

Lauren Mitchell, I think we saw every Australian athletes stepping

:43:57.:44:00.

out of the floor. What was going on? You could just tell they were

:44:01.:44:09.

struggling. You could see the coaches really encouraging the

:44:10.:44:15.

performers, but it just wasn't enough on the day. They were not

:44:16.:44:20.

competition fit on the floor. It is 1990 8 cents England took the team

:44:21.:44:26.

gold. What will it mean for the team? It will mean so much for them.

:44:27.:44:32.

For every athlete, Olympic is the pinnacle, but the Commonwealth Games

:44:33.:44:37.

is the friendly games, it is the one that you enjoy and just want to be

:44:38.:44:42.

part of. What is going on within the camp in England? What is the secret

:44:43.:44:46.

to what appears to be a very slow progression, but eventually world

:44:47.:44:51.

dominance? It is confidence, belief and hard work. That is all it is.

:44:52.:44:56.

You are the one that laid down that path for many to follow. You're

:44:57.:45:02.

still very much involved, I do? Amanda was my personal coach and she

:45:03.:45:06.

is now the national coach. She overlooks all the home Nations teams

:45:07.:45:09.

and she is working magic with them. A letter -- a lot of credit goes to

:45:10.:45:16.

their personal coaches. They only go up to the National Centre for camps.

:45:17.:45:20.

Their personal coaches are in the gym day in day out. This is about

:45:21.:45:32.

qualifying for individual fouls also, how much would they have

:45:33.:45:42.

focused on that? -- finals. For the England team, they really

:45:43.:45:46.

wanted the team title, their main focus would have been that.

:45:47.:45:53.

Individual titles are a bonus. And you will agree this is a very

:45:54.:46:00.

tough schedule. You have got to lift yourself emotionally, haven't you?

:46:01.:46:06.

Coming out again for the second day, and then there is the finals

:46:07.:46:13.

next! Song gymnasts will compete over five

:46:14.:46:21.

days. -- some. But the personal coaches are with them. They get them

:46:22.:46:29.

recovered and prepared. As soon as this medal ceremony is over they

:46:30.:46:33.

will be resting and recuperating for tomorrow.

:46:34.:46:39.

Wales, how much will that help them fitted them? What difference will it

:46:40.:46:44.

make in the future for the home nations?

:46:45.:46:50.

It is great for the home nations. They know what it takes to be at the

:46:51.:46:56.

top of the game. When you have the likes of Australia and Canada, it is

:46:57.:47:01.

hard to get in. But they have done amazing and made history.

:47:02.:47:08.

What will it do for the confidence? Australia are not too shabby, to

:47:09.:47:17.

beat a team like that by six marks! And don't Wales look glorious in

:47:18.:47:23.

bronze medal position? The isle of man in 10th, Northern Ireland ahead

:47:24.:47:26.

of them at nine. The gymnasts from England,

:47:27.:47:43.

Scotland, and Wales, all celebrating today. And the news is great from

:47:44.:47:51.

Carnoustie in the last day of the shooting events. Gold for Daniel

:47:52.:47:59.

Rivers. Already had a bronze in the ten metre event. But he upgraded it

:48:00.:48:08.

today. He idolises Bradley Wiggins, I understand, his sporting hero, but

:48:09.:48:13.

now he has something that Bradley does not, a Commonwealth title.

:48:14.:48:22.

Early on, his team-mate, David Lockman, he claimed his second gold

:48:23.:48:32.

of the Games. A games record score in the Queens prize individual

:48:33.:48:38.

event. Jim Peyton of Canada silver, and England's Pari Patel with the

:48:39.:48:53.

bronze. I love that ceremony for the gold medal in the Queens prize! Jen

:48:54.:49:02.

the Macintosh won a silver today also, and here's a record-breaking

:49:03.:49:03.

moment for you. This is to work out who takes gold

:49:04.:49:14.

and silver. It has come down to this. Mum cannot bear to look!

:49:15.:49:27.

What a way to finish the shooting. 50 seconds, one shot a piece to

:49:28.:49:32.

decide who will take gold. The house will come down if Macintosh can

:49:33.:49:36.

manage it. She has been in this position before in Delhi of course.

:49:37.:49:49.

Ser, very composed, but Macintosh has been better in the last three

:49:50.:50:04.

shots. But oh, dear! Surely if Ser just keeps her calm, she has the

:50:05.:50:14.

gold. It is enough. She takes gold.

:50:15.:50:23.

Jasmine Ser of Singapore. Jenna McIntosh of Scotland will have to

:50:24.:50:29.

settle for the silver. But a second medal for her, after bronze

:50:30.:50:33.

yesterday in the 50 metre event. Disappointment for the Scottish

:50:34.:50:36.

crowd. But a magnificent performance by Ser

:50:37.:50:44.

who stuck to her guns, excuse the pun, what a performance.

:50:45.:50:57.

She is a very, very good. But what a performance from Jim McIntosh. Also

:50:58.:51:09.

23. -- Jen. The Edinburgh girl who just came up the road here to

:51:10.:51:16.

Carnoustie. The sole tyre is around her. But let's not forget, a long

:51:17.:51:25.

way from home, Jasmine Ser, absolutely brilliant shooting, what

:51:26.:51:33.

a final we have had. Macintosh no doubt thinking about

:51:34.:51:38.

what could have been. But she has a silver medal at the Commonwealth

:51:39.:51:43.

Games. I am not sure what the coach just

:51:44.:51:47.

said but he has given her a big hug.

:51:48.:51:56.

But another medal for Jasmine Ser, she has threatened that gold all

:51:57.:52:04.

through this week. Goodness me. Time to catch our breaths.

:52:05.:52:10.

A brilliant gold for Singapore. But we are joined by the official Queen

:52:11.:52:19.

of the Commonwealth Games for Scotland, a fifth medal, Jen

:52:20.:52:27.

Macintosh, congratulations, and just explain to others what that moment

:52:28.:52:33.

meant for you. It was incredible. To win that medal

:52:34.:52:38.

in front of the home crowd, an amazing experience.

:52:39.:52:44.

I thought you gave a bit of an ironic laugh. What was going through

:52:45.:52:50.

your mind? Not an awful lot if I am being

:52:51.:52:55.

honest. Just trying to keep my heartrate down, and failing

:52:56.:53:01.

dismally. But it was a bit of a tricky shot.

:53:02.:53:07.

You have had pressure on you, going for this record. But yesterday you

:53:08.:53:12.

equalled the record of the late Eleanor Golden, and your mother,

:53:13.:53:19.

Shirley! You now have the bragging rights over your mum. What were her

:53:20.:53:25.

words to you? She just gave me a big hug and said

:53:26.:53:31.

she was really proud of me. I am thankful to her and my dad for

:53:32.:53:34.

giving me support over the years and getting me to a point where I could

:53:35.:53:37.

win a couple of medals here in Glasgow.

:53:38.:53:43.

I saw her award you your fourth medal yesterday, you were clearly a

:53:44.:53:50.

very moved. That was emotional. It meant a lot to get it from her. Your

:53:51.:53:56.

father is the shooting manager for Scotland, your mother has a

:53:57.:54:01.

wonderful track record, your younger sister is also involved in the team.

:54:02.:54:06.

But you did not actually handle a rifle until you return years old.

:54:07.:54:11.

Was it inevitable you would follow your parents? -- ten years old. I

:54:12.:54:21.

was always given a choice, but I was keen to follow in my mum's

:54:22.:54:26.

footsteps. I would say, I want a turn, I want a turn! They finally

:54:27.:54:32.

gave in and here I am a few years later. Is reopened now in your

:54:33.:54:46.

sites? -- Rio. Yes. London did not go all that well so I aim to have a

:54:47.:54:52.

slightly better Olympics in 2016. You talked about trying to keep calm

:54:53.:54:58.

when you take aim. Do you have a mantra? What do you do when you're

:54:59.:55:04.

in that zone? Most of the time I just focus on my

:55:05.:55:09.

breathing, making sure it is slow and even. Sometimes I am vaguely

:55:10.:55:14.

aware of what is going on with the wind. Thinking about, is my hip in

:55:15.:55:22.

the right place? My hand? It is a mental check list. And I physically

:55:23.:55:27.

ready to take the shot? Then when it comes down to it, go.

:55:28.:55:35.

Do you do other land-based training? Or is solely on the range?

:55:36.:55:42.

I do a mixture. I am on the range five hours a day. Then a couple of

:55:43.:55:47.

hours of general cardiovascular fit this work. And a strength and

:55:48.:55:53.

conditioning programme based on Pilates and yoga exercises.

:55:54.:56:00.

I know that this is the event that got away from you in Delhi. Which is

:56:01.:56:09.

the most problematic position, shooting kneeling or lying down?

:56:10.:56:16.

Today I was kneeling, it is usually my strong suit. My favourite

:56:17.:56:22.

position has always been kneeling, but it let me down today!

:56:23.:56:29.

But you are the most decorated women ever at a Commonwealth Games from

:56:30.:56:34.

Scotland. Absolutely wonderful for you and thank you for joining us.

:56:35.:56:40.

Thank you. So many headlines created today. Not

:56:41.:56:46.

only Jennifer with her fifth medal but also for Scotland, a 35th medal

:56:47.:56:53.

smashes the previous overall total of 33 from 1986 in Edinburgh. The

:56:54.:57:03.

other headlines on day six: England came out on top in the battle for

:57:04.:57:07.

gold in the men's gymnastics team final. An historic silver medal for

:57:08.:57:13.

Scotland, their first ever podium finish in the competition. And a

:57:14.:57:18.

wonderful success for England's women in the team final, a first

:57:19.:57:23.

success for 20 years. And a first ever bronze for Wales. Jennifer

:57:24.:57:29.

McIntosh has become the first Scottish woman to win five

:57:30.:57:34.

Commonwealth. She surpasses her mother, Shirley. And Daniel Rivers

:57:35.:57:42.

won the men's 50 metres rifle to claim a second shooting gold of the

:57:43.:57:45.

day for England after David Lockman triumphed. Gold, silver, bronze, all

:57:46.:57:55.

flying around today. I must now go and leave you in the capable hands

:57:56.:57:57.

of Gary Lineker. and leave you in the capable

:57:58.:57:57.

Goodbye.
