Hello again. It has been a bit like Scottish Family Fortunes because

:00:24.:00:34.

earlier we had Lizzy Sharp, the daughter of Cameron Sharp, in action

:00:35.:00:39.

in the 800m. A Liz McColgan will attempt to do what her mother did

:00:40.:00:43.

all those years ago, and we also have James Heatley, the 17-year-old

:00:44.:00:49.

grandson of Sir Peter Heatley, a three-time gold medallist in diving

:00:50.:00:52.

for Scotland, taking part and hoping to make a splash in the Commonwealth

:00:53.:00:57.

pool this evening. We will see him shortly. Let me remind you what is

:00:58.:01:02.

coming on all around the venues, not just here in Glasgow but across in

:01:03.:01:09.

Edinburgh. In table tennis, we have the mixed doubles and women's

:01:10.:01:13.

singles going on. First round stages at Scotstoun. It has been 100 mph

:01:14.:01:21.

stuff all day. We have an all Celtic final match going on between

:01:22.:01:24.

Scotland and Northern Ireland, in their last pool game and the -- in

:01:25.:01:34.

the netball. And wrestling, badminton, squash and bowls online

:01:35.:01:41.

on our website. You can also hear all the chat from all the events.

:01:42.:01:46.

But it is time now to head across to Edinburgh and the Royal Commonwealth

:01:47.:01:49.

pool. History is made there today because this is the first time that

:01:50.:01:54.

any venue anywhere in the Commonwealth has staged events in

:01:55.:01:59.

three separate games. It was in use in Edinburgh's gains in 1970 and

:02:00.:02:05.

1976. It has had a face-lift since then and is known as the commie

:02:06.:02:15.

Games. We have had the women's synchronised swimming event today

:02:16.:02:18.

and now the men's one metre springboard. It is not an Olympic

:02:19.:02:23.

event. Across there in Edinburgh we have Leon Taylor and Helen Skelton

:02:24.:02:26.

waiting to do is grab it for us. We do not see it very often. How

:02:27.:02:33.

interesting and dramatic can it be? We don't see it very often but I'm

:02:34.:02:40.

certain that this crowd is ecstatic because Hazel mentioned James

:02:41.:02:43.

Heatley. He has a huge Commonwealth. His grandfather has been at 17

:02:44.:02:49.

consecutive Commonwealth Games. He is 90. We were talking to him

:02:50.:02:53.

earlier. He is so happy that this is happening here. You have worked

:02:54.:03:00.

alongside him as well. I have. In 1998 he was the manager for the

:03:01.:03:03.

World Championship team that I was apart. So good to see him and he is

:03:04.:03:07.

so proud of his grandson who has made it through to this final this

:03:08.:03:12.

evening. We will see him in action shortly but we already have a silver

:03:13.:03:16.

medal in the driving force Team England. I do not know whether to

:03:17.:03:20.

celebrate or commiserate because we thought they begin to get gold. I

:03:21.:03:24.

listened to the commentary back and I had given them the gold. Two and

:03:25.:03:31.

eight half somersaults, one and a half twists, and I thought it was

:03:32.:03:36.

good enough, but when I watched the replay, I thought, oh, I'm not sure.

:03:37.:03:44.

This final dive from the Team England girls was very solid but the

:03:45.:03:52.

execution of a little bit off. They did a fantastic job. It must be

:03:53.:03:56.

frustratingly because they won a silver medal at the Common of games.

:03:57.:04:00.

Everybody said, oh, you have just missed out on gold. It is not

:04:01.:04:06.

negative because the people who beat them of the best in the class. And

:04:07.:04:10.

nowhere to hide today. Apart from the Chinese, the ones competing here

:04:11.:04:15.

are the best in the world. To finish anywhere near the podium was a big

:04:16.:04:21.

task. They should be delighted. Let's look ahead to the men's one

:04:22.:04:25.

metre spring board. Everybody from the Home Nations made it through to

:04:26.:04:30.

the final. Jack Law tops the leaderboard. He won the

:04:31.:04:35.

preliminaries. Chris, his team-mate and synchronised partner, make it

:04:36.:04:39.

through in third. And then Woodward and James Heatley intent. In this

:04:40.:04:44.

final, everyone starts from scratch so what happened this morning is

:04:45.:04:47.

irrelevant. It's like shuffling the pack. Six dives, 12 diapers. If the

:04:48.:04:54.

platform is nerve-wracking, this is entertaining. -- divers. Everything

:04:55.:05:03.

is impressive. It is the nature of the event. You are one metre from

:05:04.:05:07.

the Springboard. It is incredible what they need to do. I will let you

:05:08.:05:12.

get to your commentary box because we are about to go into the men's

:05:13.:05:17.

one metre springboard final. Three into spiders in there, one Scottish

:05:18.:05:23.

diver -- three English divers in there.

:05:24.:05:28.

COMMENTATOR: A man who starts with big dive. 3.4 straight off.

:05:29.:05:48.

An inward two and a half somersaults with pike. Just about got here in

:05:49.:05:57.

time. That was Kody. His first dive for the final. A big dive to start

:05:58.:06:04.

with. 3.4 degrees of difficulty. A better job than he did this morning

:06:05.:06:08.

in the preliminaries. That was really tough. Doing his best to

:06:09.:06:11.

complete the dive a bit better. A better effort than this morning. He

:06:12.:06:18.

might get sixes, 6.5. Yes, 6.4. Better than this morning. He has

:06:19.:06:22.

gone up about ten marks from this morning. The man we are seeing

:06:23.:06:26.

standing on the one metre Springboard is a man we did not know

:06:27.:06:32.

was going to make it through at all. He dropped a dive.

:06:33.:06:54.

Inward two and a half somersaults. The first of three Canadians we will

:06:55.:07:00.

see. Very fortunate to make it through. He had something to prove.

:07:01.:07:06.

He failed his second dive. He has started his campaign here very

:07:07.:07:11.

strongly indeed. This is a 3.1 degrees of difficulty. That should

:07:12.:07:22.

put him up there in the mid-60s. For the time being, a nice solid start

:07:23.:07:28.

for round one. 65.1 for the Canadian.

:07:29.:07:31.

Well, his grandad represented Scotland and Great Britain at the

:07:32.:07:39.

Commonwealth Games and the Olympics in 1948. Three called medals at the

:07:40.:07:46.

Commonwealth Games. On the ten metre board, here is John James, 17.

:07:47.:07:54.

-- here is young James. He has taken on the final. His degree of

:07:55.:08:01.

difficulty is a little bit lower than some of the other athletes in

:08:02.:08:04.

the field. 6.2 degrees of difficulty. A relatively simple

:08:05.:08:14.

dive. I think that will get him 7.5s. His coach will be happy with

:08:15.:08:26.

that. James Heatley used every inch of that board to good effect. He did

:08:27.:08:35.

what he had to do. Not a great start this morning from this Canadian.

:08:36.:08:41.

It looks like he has woken up. Maybe he had a nap this afternoon.

:08:42.:08:55.

Beautiful timing on the diving board. Great entry into the water.

:08:56.:09:01.

He might squeeze a couple of eights from the judges. Nice and solid. A

:09:02.:09:19.

big cheer. For this young man, for those who did not know much about

:09:20.:09:22.

him this morning, they have pretty much adopted him. He was born in

:09:23.:09:24.

Leeds. I said it this morning but diving is

:09:25.:09:32.

difficult the taller you are. That should get some eights. Good

:09:33.:09:59.

work. I think he's happy. Big smile.

:10:00.:10:20.

He has got his control with him this evening. This morning he was all

:10:21.:10:26.

over the place on some of his dives. Lots of power as demonstrated here.

:10:27.:10:33.

He comes out incredibly early that the stop the dive from

:10:34.:10:38.

over-rotating. That could see him with one of the highest scoring two

:10:39.:10:46.

and a half pikes. A contender. I said he was the first Malaysian, but

:10:47.:10:56.

he's the only immolation. The immolation -- he is the only

:10:57.:10:57.

Malaysian. Very neat and tidy. I was watching

:10:58.:11:23.

his dive in training. He's only 17 so he still has his whole career

:11:24.:11:24.

ahead of him. With that degree of difficulty, it

:11:25.:11:44.

will put him further up the leaderboard and he used to being.

:11:45.:12:18.

Great. I was not sure which way that was going to go. At the ills. It is

:12:19.:12:25.

tricky, three and a half somersaults. Great balance on the

:12:26.:12:30.

end of the diving board. Superb elevation and he nails that entry.

:12:31.:12:36.

Hardly any splash. A big score. That should put him close to the league,

:12:37.:12:41.

if not in the lead. Yes, he has nailed it and taken first place. We

:12:42.:12:48.

have seen people raised their game this evening.

:12:49.:13:09.

Well done, Freddie. He was very consistent this morning. Debut at

:13:10.:13:16.

the Commonwealth Games. He is mixing with the big boys.

:13:17.:13:23.

He's the third English diver. He is in this final and will be looking to

:13:24.:13:31.

equal his performance this morning, which was really consistent, close

:13:32.:13:34.

to his personal best if not a personal best this morning.

:13:35.:14:16.

He puts pressure on Mitchum and Jack Law still to come. This was

:14:17.:14:28.

effortless. Just tipping over slightly, a little over rotation, as

:14:29.:14:33.

he goes into the water. But I really like that style. One judge thought

:14:34.:14:39.

it was an one foot and eight, one foot and 8.5, but they do not

:14:40.:14:40.

count. It is the three marks that count

:14:41.:14:50.

multiplied by the degree of difficulty.

:14:51.:15:05.

Just some slight rotation as he went into the water. That was a very good

:15:06.:15:10.

swing of his arms. He gets that rotation moving. You can see,

:15:11.:15:16.

savouring that, it will be sevens... He will not be leading. He

:15:17.:15:36.

is happy, smile and a wave. Jack Laugher was imperious this morning,

:15:37.:15:41.

and tonight he needs to do that for real. His opening is 3.0.

:15:42.:15:50.

This morning he got 66 on this one. Yes, he means business. Slightly

:15:51.:16:02.

overcooked. But really attacking that take-off. He was looking

:16:03.:16:07.

formidable this morning. He is the man to beat this evening. And he has

:16:08.:16:14.

got five more to do to keep himself in the running. He will be in the

:16:15.:16:18.

top three, which is where he needs to be. Looking back, thinking, that

:16:19.:16:25.

was just a little bit over. Don't give too much away, don't give any

:16:26.:16:32.

indication you are not happy. He used to be a very big Linkin Park

:16:33.:16:43.

fan. In the lead after one. Riley McCormick at the bottom of the

:16:44.:17:07.

pile. So, round number two. He comes down a peg or two, Cody

:17:08.:17:27.

Yano. The back somersault with the top. -- tuck.

:17:28.:17:43.

He has raised his game since this morning, that is another big one

:17:44.:17:49.

from Cody Yano. Opening up the second round. He started backwards.

:17:50.:18:01.

He is a very strong athlete. Just over 60 points, that will keep him

:18:02.:18:07.

in the middle of the pack. He has already improved on this morning by

:18:08.:18:11.

12 points. Considerably better than this morning.

:18:12.:18:22.

He failed this morning. Francois Imbeau-Dulac. Three and a half

:18:23.:18:35.

somersault with tuck. He tried this this morning. He had an absolutely

:18:36.:18:44.

terrible hurdle step, that approach, when he jumps from one foot. I was

:18:45.:18:49.

holding my breath for him. What an absolute shame because he is landing

:18:50.:18:54.

on the back of the diving board. He only just completes that. His toes

:18:55.:18:59.

almost touching the water and if they did before he completed the

:19:00.:19:02.

dive, that would have been a failure. Luckily, he has managed to

:19:03.:19:10.

salvage that. Considerably better. But not a lot.

:19:11.:19:18.

His aspirations of the middle, that may well have done for him. Now,

:19:19.:19:33.

James Heatley. One and a half somersaults, one and a half twists.

:19:34.:19:38.

Yes, he has raised his game. That was a little bit low. One and a half

:19:39.:19:46.

somersaults. Here go, wrapping up into the twist. Just a fraction over

:19:47.:19:53.

in the rotation. He will be pleased with that. He is holding his own.

:19:54.:20:02.

His father was concerned that he might not get through with that

:20:03.:20:05.

earlier start. He is holding his own. He starts with a very low

:20:06.:20:21.

tariff. This is the big boys. Roger merger, Riley McCormick, the back to

:20:22.:20:28.

one half somersaults. With the tuck. Letting them get away from him,

:20:29.:20:34.

earlier he was not awake but he is now firing on all cylinders. The

:20:35.:20:38.

mistake that he makes on this one is he remains in that tuck shaped just

:20:39.:20:44.

a fraction too long. His feet going into the water, the splash moving

:20:45.:20:48.

away from the diving board, he will only get 5.5 on that one, I would

:20:49.:20:55.

think. Which would be costly. He did want to be on the leaderboard. Yes,

:20:56.:21:02.

one by one, we are kicking off with the divers that can push for those

:21:03.:21:04.

medal positions. This man has got better and better

:21:05.:21:14.

as the competition has gone on during the luminaries. Notaro. He

:21:15.:21:27.

must be spot on. Yona Knight-Wisdom. -- preliminaries. What a powerhouse.

:21:28.:21:33.

And he needs that the currency is incredibly tall. But look at how

:21:34.:21:38.

much elevation he gets on that. Up towards the ceiling. Beautiful

:21:39.:21:42.

elevation, great entry into the water. Bright yellow, we will not

:21:43.:21:49.

miss them. Good, solid stuff. There are some

:21:50.:22:10.

big performances left to come. Ooi Tze Liang from Malaysia. He was over

:22:11.:22:18.

rotating. I thought that was going to happen injury mid-takeoff.

:22:19.:22:24.

Spinning very quickly. There we go. Over he does. The tidal wave coming

:22:25.:22:35.

back towards the diving board. The first surf's up moment of this

:22:36.:22:46.

competition. This will not do his chances any good whatsoever. Already

:22:47.:22:54.

one third of the competition is done. We will be losing people. I

:22:55.:23:00.

have been impressed with this young man, Liam Stone. The youngest of his

:23:01.:23:13.

competitors as well. -- of these. Another good dive from him.

:23:14.:23:18.

Excellent work. He will not be moving up the leaderboard. He is

:23:19.:23:26.

looking for six consistent dives. Only 17 years old. Grabbing his

:23:27.:23:35.

hands as he enters the water. Hardly any splash. Good work! The ones with

:23:36.:23:44.

the Lions through them do not add up for the double. -- lines. Australia,

:23:45.:23:57.

the early leader. Grant Nel. What can he do to back this up?

:23:58.:24:09.

The other Australian, Matthew Mitcham, is still left to come. That

:24:10.:24:15.

is a great second round five from the current leader. This is his most

:24:16.:24:20.

challenging. From a technical point of view. This is the one that he

:24:21.:24:26.

struggles within training. He will get sevens on this one, I think you

:24:27.:24:34.

will. I think we can see him putting pressure on for the medals. Top of

:24:35.:24:39.

the leaderboard. Still for divers left to go. He got 51 on that this

:24:40.:24:46.

morning. 63 tonight. Sevens across the board. He is in contention.

:24:47.:24:58.

Freddie Woodward. What a shame from Freddie Woodward. He perhaps showed

:24:59.:25:05.

an experience. He made that stomping side, this is a very tough dive. He

:25:06.:25:13.

has really gone for it. Almost in that forward roll into the water.

:25:14.:25:17.

Which is a shame, he will not get more than five for that. He will be

:25:18.:25:22.

slipping down the leaderboard. That was almost so good. Once but second

:25:23.:25:28.

away from being very good. Just that last inclination. When he entered

:25:29.:25:43.

the water. Chris Mears. There could be a couple of English men standing

:25:44.:25:46.

on the podium later and he could be one of them. 3.0 on the difficulty.

:25:47.:25:55.

Fantastic! Second round. Backing up his first round. This was the

:25:56.:26:00.

reverse, before jumping up and away and spinning backwards. Two and a

:26:01.:26:05.

half times. It is amazing what they can fit in with such a short space

:26:06.:26:12.

of time. Chris Mears, on the money. And pressure on the others. Pressure

:26:13.:26:24.

on his team-mate, Jack Laugher. We did mention Grant Nel. Can Matthew

:26:25.:26:32.

Mitcham achieve something similar? He is adrift. Going for the reverse

:26:33.:26:40.

two and have that we have seen. But in that pike position. 3.2

:26:41.:26:46.

difficulty. Not as good as Chris Mears but that degree of difficulty

:26:47.:26:51.

might make it similar. Over rotating. Just a little bit, as he

:26:52.:26:57.

goes into the water, it will only be sevens. But the degree of difficulty

:26:58.:27:02.

will match him with Chris Mears. He is happy with that. He always lets

:27:03.:27:13.

you know exactly how he is feeling. Matthew Mitcham, moves up into third

:27:14.:27:19.

place. He is the man they must catch. Certainly on the evidence of

:27:20.:27:25.

this morning, Jack Laugher. Two and a half twists. 3.0 410 macro. Not as

:27:26.:27:37.

good as this morning. Again, that was a technical masterclass, up and

:27:38.:27:42.

away. One and a half somersaults. Just attacking too much. He is

:27:43.:27:49.

drifting over. He will get more seven and a halfs. He just needs to

:27:50.:27:55.

calm down. Stop trying to hard to win it. -- too hard. He will have a

:27:56.:28:10.

word with his coach. And England one, two, after Roger merger. There

:28:11.:28:17.

are still four of them left to go. Chris Mears has a lead over Jack

:28:18.:28:22.

Laugher and Grant Nel. And Matthew Mitcham is very close. Cody Yano.

:28:23.:28:32.

And Liam Stone. Yona Knight-Wisdom in seventh place. McCormick moving

:28:33.:28:46.

off the bottom place. The halfway stage. And Cody Yano, going for a

:28:47.:28:53.

very low tariff. This is a game of tactics. Train to

:28:54.:29:05.

get himself very high up the leaderboard before he speaks in with

:29:06.:29:10.

this low difficulty. In the pike position. This is a very good job,

:29:11.:29:15.

opening up wobbly the right time. His chin is causing that marginal

:29:16.:29:30.

over rotation. So with that low degree of difficulty, that is not

:29:31.:29:32.

going to help his cause amazingly. He's got some work to do. A very

:29:33.:30:08.

challenging dive, two and a half somersaults in the back position.

:30:09.:30:14.

Having to arch his back quite a lot to get rotation, and he's hanging on

:30:15.:30:17.

to his kneecaps there, running out of room. The marks will reflect

:30:18.:30:26.

that. 5.5 and two sixes will for him.

:30:27.:30:32.

Another good job. Very impressed with this dive this morning and it

:30:33.:31:05.

is one of his more difficult ones. A little bit low to the water so not

:31:06.:31:23.

showing the judges how easy it is. Improved on his dive this morning by

:31:24.:31:24.

three points. James Heatly is 55.50. That is much better. Good hurdle

:31:25.:31:58.

step, toes right on the end, using the board effectively. Knows exactly

:31:59.:32:02.

where he is. Could squeeze some eights out of the judges there. How

:32:03.:32:07.

generous are the judges feeling? Moving down from the 10m board to

:32:08.:32:23.

the three meter board. Superb. Good work. Very impressed

:32:24.:32:52.

with this 19-year-old. Works very hard.

:32:53.:32:59.

A little bit split in his tuck there. But big smiles. He's

:33:00.:33:09.

absolutely loving this. The great thing is they are absolutely loving

:33:10.:33:10.

him as well. That is really good. As I mentioned

:33:11.:33:43.

on the previous dive, when he gets it right he is a force to be

:33:44.:33:47.

reckoned with. This one is bang on the money. And eight in my opinion.

:33:48.:33:52.

Maybe a little loose as he kicks out. That is good from the

:33:53.:34:01.

immolation. Only one Malaysia in the final. They don't give much away

:34:02.:34:04.

until the input their scores on the buttons. He gets 67.5.

:34:05.:34:38.

He has done an excellent amount of cramming fair, to use your turn of

:34:39.:34:45.

phrase. That is a lot of dive to get in. Squeezing the hands on to the

:34:46.:34:53.

shins, very neat, very tidy. At had over rotated on the finish. That is

:34:54.:34:59.

my only observation there. He won't get eights but 7.5, good man. Aren't

:35:00.:35:07.

you wearing your splash had today? You are being Mr Simon Cowell of the

:35:08.:35:14.

diving world. -- your Splash! Hacked.

:35:15.:35:34.

Yes, that is more than good enough for the current leader position. He

:35:35.:35:41.

looked a little bit shaky this morning. Almost written him off

:35:42.:35:46.

after this morning's performance but obviously saving the best until this

:35:47.:35:53.

evening at he should be. Another good dive. That will keep him very

:35:54.:35:59.

much in the business end of the field. First man to get into the

:36:00.:36:09.

200s in the line-up. Big competitors still to come.

:36:10.:36:29.

That is a good comeback. He will have been really disappointed after

:36:30.:36:41.

his second round dive. That is very, very good. Wonderful comeback. A

:36:42.:36:47.

slight drop in the second round. Solid third round dive there from

:36:48.:36:53.

Freddie. The man from Sheffield holding his own. Is that enough to

:36:54.:36:59.

claw it back? He is off the bottom, anyway. There was a smile on his

:37:00.:37:06.

face this morning, and is not going quite so well now.

:37:07.:37:18.

That is just letting it go slightly. Take-off was good, two and

:37:19.:37:22.

a half twists. All very well done. The judges could go as low as a. I'm

:37:23.:37:37.

hoping he has managed to save that little bit. What will they give him?

:37:38.:37:42.

OK, that's not as bad as it could've been. Know, 6.5 is OK but if you are

:37:43.:37:48.

going to push the gold you will not want to drop below seven, seven .5.

:37:49.:38:11.

Mitchum had an opportunity there and he has pretty much done exactly the

:38:12.:38:22.

same mistake this time on an with two and a half hours before. Just

:38:23.:38:27.

tucking his chin and over rotating. He will not get more than 7.5 for

:38:28.:38:34.

that. Very neat, tidy, beautiful diving. Do they take marks off for

:38:35.:38:41.

going sideways? When they see it, yes. It is difficult to see when the

:38:42.:38:44.

judges are side on. There you go, the dive of the

:38:45.:39:10.

competition so far, and absolutely magnificent Rovers two and a half

:39:11.:39:15.

somersaults in the height position. -- the pike position. This is tough

:39:16.:39:23.

and this is a chunky dive and Jack has absolutely nailed it. There you

:39:24.:39:30.

go. This will improve the standings. 80 points.

:39:31.:39:36.

Nailed it this morning, nailed it tonight.

:39:37.:39:44.

He has a 13 point lead now, Jack Laugher, over the Australian. Chris

:39:45.:39:53.

Mears is down to fourth but it is still very tight for the medal

:39:54.:39:57.

position. And still only halfway, remember.

:39:58.:40:07.

The Canadian who just snuck into the final is finding life a bit tuck the

:40:08.:40:16.

word tough game tonight, in 12th place. -- finding life a bit tough

:40:17.:40:24.

again tonight. Over he goes. Wow. He really

:40:25.:40:42.

attacked the take-off. You have got to really give it some on the start.

:40:43.:40:48.

Hips over to get the rotation. Look at that. Another surfboard moment.

:40:49.:40:53.

Double surfboard. This is what happens when you are

:40:54.:41:01.

doing the most dive is humanly possible -- the most complex guys

:41:02.:41:07.

humanly possible from the springboard.

:41:08.:41:31.

I would certainly be scared on that dive, especially with fat take-off.

:41:32.:41:37.

His toes were over the end of the diving board. Not only does he have

:41:38.:41:45.

to do to end a half, he has to do it in the pike position. He could have

:41:46.:41:49.

slipped off the diving board, only just makes it. A future full is that

:41:50.:41:55.

this man today. That is not a natural position for diving. Anyway,

:41:56.:42:01.

he didn't hurt himself, so that is good work. He looks a bit like an

:42:02.:42:06.

ironing board cover but other than that not too bad.

:42:07.:42:29.

Another good dive from James. Not quite as good has his previous

:42:30.:42:34.

though he did finish this a little bit higher.

:42:35.:42:39.

Puts his feet up a little bit too high so his toes come back towards

:42:40.:42:49.

the diving board. Good from the Scotsman. Is very rare occasion

:42:50.:42:55.

where all judges are in accord. Six point phrase from every single one

:42:56.:42:56.

of them. Mark that one of your card. A classy dive from Riley. He needed

:42:57.:43:32.

that. He has certainly improved from this morning a great deal.

:43:33.:43:38.

Rolling over touch that that is going to get eights. -- but that is

:43:39.:43:46.

going to get eights. A great dive! He pretty much goes in

:43:47.:44:19.

up to his ankles. That is technically called dunking the

:44:20.:44:24.

diving board, if you want the technical description. It does put

:44:25.:44:29.

you off the ordination wise. Look at that, all the water coming up with

:44:30.:44:34.

him, up to his ankles, and then off he goes. Superb dive. He has gone

:44:35.:44:51.

into the lead, ahead of Riley McCormick. It is getting better for

:44:52.:44:58.

the Jamaican. Not so well for Ooi Tze Liang. No worries. Any criticism

:44:59.:45:13.

was he cranks that too much. But he has managed to just about stay on

:45:14.:45:17.

the horse for this one. Great elevation. Spinning around so

:45:18.:45:33.

quickly. 7.5, probably. Definitely. Yes, 7.5. Can this man keep it

:45:34.:45:43.

going? I have been so impressed by 103 so far. -- Liam Stone so far. To

:45:44.:45:53.

do have somersaults and one twist, not far away from putting pressure

:45:54.:45:55.

on the top three, if you can get this right. -- two and a half. He

:45:56.:46:05.

has done a very good job. I was shifting out of my seat. That is a

:46:06.:46:10.

very vague dive. His toes were over the end of the diving board. He

:46:11.:46:15.

managed one twist, just about get sad around. He is actually dunking

:46:16.:46:25.

the board into the water. There is so much potential with this kid. He

:46:26.:46:31.

is a real talent. Already above his wildest dreams. I don't think that

:46:32.:46:37.

will be a medal today that he will be up there with the big boys. Now,

:46:38.:46:46.

Grant Nel. Second place. But this is tough, it is low tariff, inward one

:46:47.:46:54.

and a half somersaults. But if he does get this absolutely spot-on, he

:46:55.:47:01.

will progress. Yes, that was a nice dive but I am unsure as to way he

:47:02.:47:08.

used such a simple dive. This will only get him about 55 points. If

:47:09.:47:15.

those before and after ago with 70 or 80, he cannot keep up. So, very

:47:16.:47:26.

interesting tactics. Any reason why? I am much. I am much what his

:47:27.:47:38.

reasoning is. -- I am not sure. The Sheffield diver. Freddie Woodward.

:47:39.:47:44.

That is not a bad effort from Freddie Woodward. He may be lost his

:47:45.:47:49.

concentration a little bit. Squeezing binds, he spots that

:47:50.:47:55.

water, he does get that around very well. He probably saved that from

:47:56.:48:02.

five, it will be six and seven from the judges. That reverse two and a

:48:03.:48:17.

half only get seven 57 in total. The main movers and shakers in position.

:48:18.:48:21.

And then we get into the penultimate round. Chris Mears, back to and have

:48:22.:48:39.

somersaults with tuck. Yes, that will have him sailing into the top

:48:40.:48:44.

spot on the leaderboard. And Jack is still to come. That is very good. He

:48:45.:48:49.

gets all of the spring that he needs. And he speaks into the water,

:48:50.:48:59.

just washing over. He will get over 60 points. And that is enough. But

:49:00.:49:04.

ages him in front of Yona Knight-Wisdom. Chris Mears goes into

:49:05.:49:12.

the lead. But there are two very big medal chasers left to come. Matthew

:49:13.:49:21.

Mitcham. He has done badly so far. He comes out to show you how it is

:49:22.:49:28.

done! Very quickly coming out to the cheering of his team-mates and the

:49:29.:49:34.

crowd. In the tuck position, finishing low to the water. That

:49:35.:49:41.

will be a very solid 7.5. 3.0 ethically. That will keep them top

:49:42.:49:46.

of the leaderboard until beating this band takes to the board. Jack

:49:47.:50:02.

Laugher is up next. -- until the English man takes to the board. This

:50:03.:50:09.

is huge. In terms of the tariff and the ambition to win the gold medal.

:50:10.:50:16.

Inward to and have somersaults. Yes, there you go. -- two and a half.

:50:17.:50:24.

These are the very big ones that make the difference. And this one,

:50:25.:50:30.

three .4, he is not messing around, this will get over 80 points. He

:50:31.:50:34.

makes easy work of this dive. And if he does nothing disastrous on the

:50:35.:50:40.

next one, he will be top of the podium. That has seen him should

:50:41.:50:47.

into the lead. He has got a lead of almost 13 points. 81.6. Everybody

:50:48.:50:58.

else in the 60s and the 70s. Blocking things out with some music.

:50:59.:51:03.

Taking a very big step towards the gold medal. Look at Yona

:51:04.:51:09.

Knight-Wisdom! That would be a very big story, wouldn't it? You can

:51:10.:51:15.

watch the conclusion of this on the Red Button. We will have two should

:51:16.:51:22.

shortly. It is his second event of the day at the Commonwealth Pool,

:51:23.:51:26.

earlier, we had the women and the ten metres synchronisation. We had

:51:27.:51:34.

Australia and Oliver Dingley, who were leading until the final but

:51:35.:51:37.

they were pepped by the Canadian jewel. So, mixed emotions. Let us

:51:38.:51:41.

hear from them. Congratulations, silver medal, so

:51:42.:51:52.

close. How are you feeling? We wanted to do our best but we did not

:51:53.:51:56.

expect any medal today so silver, we are very pleased. It was a typist of

:51:57.:52:03.

margins. Yes, we had not been training that well this week so we

:52:04.:52:06.

are very pleased with the silver but it was very tight, nobody actually

:52:07.:52:13.

was diving at their best. Your first two dives were absolutely electric.

:52:14.:52:18.

Then coming the high, harder dives, how you feeling? Pretty nervous like

:52:19.:52:25.

every other time but we were good, it always helps to start with a very

:52:26.:52:29.

good dive so that did push us towards the end. There was a bit of

:52:30.:52:33.

a delay at the start. Did that disrupt things? Make you nervous?

:52:34.:52:40.

Yes, it was pretty tough. We did warm up for 40 minutes before but we

:52:41.:52:46.

were all laughing down there, there are only five of us and be used to

:52:47.:52:49.

things may be going wrong at some point but I think we handled it

:52:50.:52:53.

witty well. Not just ours but everybody. It did not matter much

:52:54.:52:58.

whenever we got going. Just trying to get back into it. You have more

:52:59.:53:03.

chances again. What are you thinking? We're pretty confident, we

:53:04.:53:09.

have one competition tomorrow, the individual dives, will do our best.

:53:10.:53:15.

Will you enjoy it? We will enjoy the individual, this is my main event, I

:53:16.:53:21.

want a medal. I am so happy with this and tomorrow will be some fun.

:53:22.:53:28.

Congratulations, ladies. They number one of the diving at the time is

:53:29.:53:33.

passing so quickly and were coming towards the end of the seventh day.

:53:34.:53:37.

Still four days left to go before the closing ceremony on Sunday

:53:38.:53:40.

evening. It is remind you of the same -- the main stories. Magic Max,

:53:41.:53:50.

Max Whitlock dominated until the end to win the all-around title with his

:53:51.:53:55.

team-mates taking bronze and Daniel Keating getting silver for Scotland,

:53:56.:54:00.

their very first medal in the all-round for Scotland. We could see

:54:01.:54:06.

Tonia Couch and Sarah Barrow just missing out on the gold. But they

:54:07.:54:12.

were very happy with silver. Greg Rutherford, the Olympic record

:54:13.:54:18.

holder, is looking to injury behind him as he goes for gold in the long

:54:19.:54:23.

jump this evening. And it would show you what is on offer at Hampden Park

:54:24.:54:29.

shortly but there is so much happening all around these venues.

:54:30.:54:32.

And there is a lot going on over at the boxing. It is fully coming down

:54:33.:54:38.

to the wire. We have the light flyweight tomorrow -- tonight with

:54:39.:54:42.

Paddy Barnes the favourites. His fight is coming up at around 7pm.

:54:43.:54:46.

That will depend on how the others go. That is followed by Welterweight

:54:47.:54:53.

and the women's middleweight. They all have medals at stake so the

:54:54.:54:56.

intensity levels are climbing all the time. And also this evenly, you

:54:57.:55:04.

will see the gymnastics because we could see Max Whitlock coming the

:55:05.:55:08.

rest all-round and it is the women's event. Claudio Fraga Panny from

:55:09.:55:15.

England, that is not, we can see some of the lower ranks getting on.

:55:16.:55:21.

But Claudio from Bristol leaves the qualification going into this. She

:55:22.:55:26.

is really a pocket dynamo and live coverage is on BBC Three at 8:15pm

:55:27.:55:31.

and that will move to BBC One at 9:15pm. But the action is already

:55:32.:55:37.

underway online right now. You can follow that if you so choose.

:55:38.:55:41.

Whatever the zine at this evening. If we look at the timetable. We have

:55:42.:55:48.

the Olympic champion, Greg Rutherford, he qualified with his

:55:49.:55:53.

opening jump and he was the best of the lot. There is real rivalry

:55:54.:55:59.

brewing with him and his team-mate, Chris Tomlinson. That final will be

:56:00.:56:05.

worth watching. And we have the high jump also. And then the 3000 metres

:56:06.:56:11.

steeplechase. The Kenyans are the fastest but Ailish McColgan will

:56:12.:56:17.

hope to spoil that. She will be watched by her nervous coach and

:56:18.:56:20.

mother. And then the women's heptathlon.

:56:21.:56:28.

Ashton Eaton is there. And we have our fingers crossed for that javelin

:56:29.:56:40.

final. Really longing to see Goldie Sayers win her first major medal.

:56:41.:56:48.

And then the 400 biggest final, can anybody stop the Olympic champion?

:56:49.:56:53.

We will see. And then Valerie Adams has won the last 55 -- is one of the

:56:54.:57:00.

last 55 competitors in the shot put. And then the 800 metres

:57:01.:57:06.

semifinals. Netball is one of the sports where it is a World

:57:07.:57:12.

Championship and the Kiwis by the favourites for the third title in a

:57:13.:57:18.

row and a woman, the superstars, they are on billboards and they are

:57:19.:57:22.

role models for the children, and they are going for three in a row

:57:23.:57:26.

and today they beat Jamaica in the netball to confirm that they will go

:57:27.:57:29.

through to face England in the semifinal. If England get through

:57:30.:57:35.

against Barbados tonight. That score was closer than you might think at

:57:36.:57:41.

50-42. It really is going on around venues. That is just happening

:57:42.:57:47.

across the way. We have crowned the men's all-round champions in

:57:48.:57:51.

athletics and the decathlon. Tonight, it is the turn of the

:57:52.:57:56.

women. And in track and field at Hampden, you will see this with Gary

:57:57.:58:03.

later on. From the - goodbye. -- from
