because they have done so well this far in the campaign. It is awful to

go in with that score at half-time for Wales but hopefully they will

come out and get something else in the second half. I think they will

are just switching off at set pieces, that is what has let them

down. The first few goal square sloppy defending and not really

clearing or making decisions. Overall England where just probing

and making the way into the game. They have managed to clinically

finish when they had the chance. Did you feel that on the performance

they were four goals better than Wales? I do not think so. The wear

well initially defensively. What England did well was the patient.

When they moved the ball quickly Wills were struggling, they were

ruthless in front of all. We'll did not quite score from the chances.

They made the keeper work but that is it. That is the difference

between the two teams at the moment. It was Jess Fishlock who gave away

the free kick for the opening goal. She is a tough player. She will

always go for those balls and it was just misjudgement. At the time she

to come for it. Not sure whether to come or not. If you are coming do it

through the defenders and take everyone but generally it is the

actual delivery that makes the mayhem in the Welsh box. Aluko,

pretty convincing second goal? She has been playing so well. She has

taken that into her England form. She causes problems, has great pace,

is great with the ball at her feet. That is something that is a great

credit to England, she is causing Wales problems. How well has Aluko

come on? How much as she improved over the last few years? Her general

game understanding, the fact she can play in a number of positions now.

In 2009 she wanted to play down the middle, that was all she wanted to

focus on. Now she knows how to play out wide, up front as well. Her

finishing, quality as well. When she gets in front of goal she puts them

away. Let's look at that finish. You do not expect the throw in to

away. Let's look at that finish. You the goal up. It was a mix-up. She

when she came into the side at Arsenal she was not afraid to talk

been vocal against the artificial turf, which is controversial in the

Canada World Cup. Five of six things will have it, why are you against

it? It is the pinnacle of the women's game, football around the

world. It should be played on grass, I am used to playing on grass in

England, I don't think there are many players who prefer to play on

turf. There are a number of factors, the bounce of the ball, whether it

runs true. The chance of injuries. There have been studies. You get

injured on grass pitches as well, but I signed that petition a year

and a half ago. More is coming to light because we are getting closer

to it. It is my opinion, I am used to a game traditionally played on

grass. I have trained a lot on turf. Americans play on it a lot. It is a

World Cup, final, players want to play on grass. As well as being an

Arsenal and Wales legend and manager, you were a physiotherapist,

why is this artificial turf so controversial? Regarding artificial

turf they will only know the effect in ten or 15 years time. The older

players will tell you now that a two hour session on that makes you feel

20 years older. If you have any tendon injuries or issues, they will

flare-up having a training session on there, let alone again. -- a

game. The majority of female players train on it. Would they want to play

a competitive game, let alone a World Cup final, on something like

that? Probably not. More on that soon. The race to reach Canada is

hotting up and the European team to finish top of their group are

guaranteed qualification. It is more complicated for the runners-up. The

best four of the seven runners-up will go into the play-offs to decide

the one remaining obligations but. Making it into those depends on your

results against the five teams in your group. Heading into the
