Good evening, three few showers

In Bill Shankly 's Bastian of invincibility, Anfield has produced

years. Liverpool dreaming again. Two changes from the last game that one.

Glen Johnson is back after five weeks. -- won.

Luis Suarez has gone for the extravagance. Is he currently the

best player on the planet? Messi, Ronaldo... But Luis Suarez is in

remarkable form. Two teams playing the Brendan Rodgers way, passing

from the back. Wilfried Bony. A good save. That is

a worthy effort. A controlled shot. A change for Swansea. There is a

hamstring problem. He was on the ball too long as the

mistake by Raheem Sterling has given an opportunity. It is a penalty.

Martin Skrtel was pulling on Wilfried Bony. The referee has given

a very big decision in the opening minutes of the second half and again

it is against Martin Skrtel who seemed to stumble. Wilfried Bony

went down. Two big decisions against Martin Skrtel and there did not seem

to be much in that. Wilfried Bony will claim the first that went off

the head of Martin Skrtel and he gets the goal that makes it 3-3, and

that is 19 for the campaign for him. Liverpool will be unhappy with the

Luis Suarez behind. Luis Suarez! The extra touch took it wider. An easier

job for Michel Vorm but it was still a good save. You would have expected

him to take that. Liverpool 's opens the season have come out of the

changing back four -- problems. The signings have not been spectacular.

Liverpool have given that away. Swansea are on top. The team most

likely to get the breakthrough. Sloppy from Johnson. Liverpool have

Surprised Liverpool have not got around the centre half more, but

He has been busy since he came on. Steven Gerrard, off the post! The

captain is so unlucky. Luis Suarez is waiting in the middle but he

could not find him. I think it took a deflection, it did. It went of

Chico Flores. The strong part of our game at the

offensive, is very strong. We were disappointed with the goals we

conceded. We were unfortunate. We gave a goal away from a free kick.

We gave them a penalty, which did not look like a penalty. There was

contact with both players. Overall, it was a tough game. Swansea are an

excellent side - a very good team. A brilliant victory for us. An

important three points. The first goal you were involved in, was it

you will go on one own goal? It was my goal. And the penalty? Was it a

definite penalty? He blocked me. I think so. Do you get a sense that

people are believing it could be Liverpool 's year? I think so. We

need to be focused on what we need to do as the team. The fans are

dreaming as we are. There is a long way to go. We need to keep digging

in and working hard. The first half we did not play particularly well.

It was the belief we did not see in the first half which we have had in

all the games we had before. We were taking too many touches. In the

second half we came out with that belief. Very difficult not to get it

from an team who are pushing for the league. We had a belief going in the

second half. We deserved something from the game. Steven Gerrard said

we have won nothing yet. He is right. There is a lot of work to do.

We are building a nice gap between the teams around us. We need to keep

winning. More importantly, we need to play well. When we play well, we

win. That is important. They are the Premier League top scorers. When you

look at the major European leagues, they have two players in the top

echelon of strikers, when you are looking at minutes per goal. Daniel

Sturridge is second, ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel messy.

Daniel Sturridge has scored 26 goals. When you see him in the form

he is in, he is looking like he is a confident player and he will score

every time he gets the ball. That was a great through ball from Raheem

Sterling. He has it in his locker now where he can create. He has gone

out wide. A good ball played in. He does not wait for it. He goes

between the goals and gets his reward. It was a brilliant finish.

He can create. A lovely move with Raheem Sterling and a through ball

to Daniel -- Luis Suarez. A couple of times he is selfish but which you

expect that? A couple of times Suarez was frustrated and players

got frustrated with him. We have had a ding-dong about whether an attack

were defence could win you a Premier league title. It is the only thing

that lets them down. They have been phenomenal with the goal-scoring.

Games against Swansea, they scored two and conceded two. With Everton,

they let in three. If they have won all those games and had a better

defence, they would have been four points clear and top of the league.

I am not sure of the central defensive partnership. It has

changed a lot. They have not had a settled back for all season long.

Skirtle has had a very up and down season. -- Martin Skrtel. It has

been individual errors. He runs the ball out of play. I am not sure

where he is going. He is the wrong side of his marker. The players get

free headers. I think that when town as a goal for Wilfried Bony. It is a

soft penalty, I do have to say. It has not been the only time where

Liverpool have been sloppy at the back. They do not have a settled

back four. Till today they kept the same back for four games in a row.

When you look at this, he passes the ball. Straight across the back four.

That has happened a lot. He was involved again. A classic own goal.

It is down to individual errors. That too is -- that is the big

problem. At the end of all of that and seeing those errors, if you have

the best attack, what difference does it make? With a better defence,

they would be top of the league. I mean it have a fantastic defence

with nine goals. Chelsea are top of the league and they have the best

defence. You need a bit of both. History does suggest the top scorers

win the Premier league. Let's have a look at the contentious decisions.

Brendan Rodgers moaned about a couple of decisions. Swansea at one

point wanted a swing kick -- a free kick. He got booked but it was soft.

It was definitely a free kick. That was a definite booking. That is a

definite yellow card. He was lucky. With the penalty, if that is a

penalty, he must book him again. Sky he was lucky not to be sent off.

Yellow because he did not bring the first one -- he was lucky not to be

sent off. Because he did not give the first one, he could not give

that. If he has given the penalty, he should have booked him. I think

he should have been sent off because he should have received two yellow

cards. Garry Monk showed a lot more desire in the second half. Brendan

Rodgers said he saw signs that Garry Monk is getting Swansea to play like

they did under him. They had made some dire in the side as well. He

gives them dynamic pace. They have had Everton and Napoli in the cup.

They have had a big week. They can be pleased with their second-half

performance. Spurs went into this game where the chief executive

seemed to increase the pressure on Chris Hughton, -- Chris Hughton. The

Canaries are looking to improve on their poor record in front of goal.

Emmanuel Adebayor has no such problems. Nine goals for the

Tottenham striker, including Dublin 4-0 win at Newcastle. -- a double in

their 4-0 win at Newcastle. Plenty forward for Norwich. Robert

Snodgrass to take. Ricky van Wolfswinkel could not get

a touch and then could not get a touch again. Not once, but twice.

That was a nice pull-back. What a chance for Norwich! A lovely run and

move. Leroy Fer could not quite get into position to unleash a shot. We

could have late drama in added time of the first half. There has not

been too much action in the first 45. Ricky van Wolfswinkel was

fouled. Robert Snodgrass to take the free kick. It goes into a crowded

penalty area. He did get the final touch as

Johnson came in. That is the end of a first half which has been largely

undistinguished. Norwich have scored only two goals in six home Premier

league games against Tottenham. Wes who had his on the bench today. --

Wes Hoolahan. In the first half, neither of these two sides looked

like breaking the deadlock. Robert Snodgrass! Norwich are in

front 90 seconds into the second half. Robert Snodgrass with his

fourth goal of the season. And Norwich lead at Harrow Road. It is

their 20th goal in the Premier League this season. Tottenham

conceding possession and, look at the top of your picture. He is

clearly onside. Robert Snodgrass in behind the Tottenham defence. He was

able to place the shot beyond Hugo Lloris. A huge relief amongst the

home support. Robert Snodgrass with the goal and Chris Hughton 's team

are in front. You really would not have put a great deal of money on

that happening inside the opening couple of minutes based on the

evidence of the first half in its entirety.

John Ruddy dived at the feet of Emmanuel Adebayor and retained

Norwich 's 1-0 advantage. That could be a pivotal safe from the Norwich

keeper. Picked up by Robert Snodgrass.

That was a powerful shot. Hugo Lloris right behind it. A hugely

important save this from John Ruddy. The first time that Norwich have not

dealt with the ball forward. John Ruddy was quickly out to smother the

danger. Terrific goalkeeping. Once more, John Ruddy is there. The

Norwich goalkeeper was always the favourite to get to this loose ball.

Tottenham need a goal and they will be hoping that Roberto Soldado can

provide it. He comes on for Paoli Neo. -- Pauline yellow.

He put it wide. Lovely ball from Emmanuel Adebayor. It was always

heading wide from the Spanish international, Roberto Soldado.

Aaron Lennon with the ball in. That was twice in as many minutes that

Roberto Soldado has two hold his head in his hands. Chris Hughton and

Norwich with the perfect response to comment earlier this week from the

Norwich chief executive, David McNally. And his team hold on for

what would be a huge victory? -- can his team hold on? Gary Hooper,

Robert Snodgrass. He waits for help from Martin. Hooper was caught. It

is a caution. This is the sort of free kick

position that Robert Snodgrass excels at. Robert Snodgrass. Just

wide. Hugo Lloris had it covered. Soldado. Battling hard. Foul.

Lennon. Waiting for Norton on the nearside. Instead chooses Nacer

Chadli. Cleared to safety by Robert Snodgrass. This was Tottenham 's

first shot on target in the match. He stays down. Hooper was onside. He

would get to the loose ball, the referee thought about playing an

advantage when there was not one, he brings it back for the free kick. It

is Bradley Johnson! And Tottenham get it clear. What a free kick!

Nathan Redmond, in space, Hugo Lloris with the save. He cannot get

there. Now he can. Great excitement at Carrow Road. That is very close

but the camera proves the ball did not completely crossed the line. It

was an absolutely brilliant free kick. -- cross. Norwich fans in full

voice as they search for a second goal which surely would earn them

all three points. Robert Snodgrass towards Hooper. Hooper. Norwich

cannot get a second goal. How costly kebabs we? -- could that be. Hooper

with the run forward, looking to see where his team-mate is, it did not

work. Chris Hughton 's team seconds away from victory. Into the last

minute at Carrow Road. Can Norwich hold on? Let's be having you! Let's

be having the full-time whistle! It is victory for Norwich City! Chris

Hughton beats his old club thanks to a goal early in the second-half from

Robert Snodgrass. And this is a huge three points for the Norfolk club.

What a finish from Robertson is. Super finish. -- from Robert

Snodgrass. The game became open after that and we had to defend

well. John Ruddy came away from his line on a couple of occasions really

well, the centre halves had their work cut out but performed

magnificently. And we had opportunities to get that second

goal and that is what we are lacking. The second half is more

like what we can do. We have talked about poor start and it was not good

again today, it was not poor against Newcastle and we saw the reward.

Bitterly disappointed we have dropped points in this race for

fourth place. The comments from the Chief Executive this week cannot

have helped you. It is in this game and being a manager, it is tough and

there are a lot of things you have to do. We have busy weeks and lots

of decisions to make. The only thing on my mind was to get a win today.

You can see that we are behind the manager and what goes on. We cannot

affect it, the manager has a job to do and he has to put his best side

out to win the game. And he got it spot on today because we just beat a

side that of playing with confidence. Is it lazy to save the

effects of the long trip caught up with you? It is just another game,

it you cannot use travelling as an excuse. It just did not affect us in

the second period when we were stronger so if we were tired, we

would have loan up but we did not. -- blown up. Tim Sherwood said it

would be lazy to blame the Europa League. This would be the seventh

defeat after the Roper league. They did not have energy in the first

half. -- Europa League. It was before the 84th minute before they

had a shot on target so Norwich deserved to win. The first half was

poor for both sides. You think Norwich were affected by what has

gone on? Definitely, Chris Hughton was under unnecessary treasure and

the players felt that. -- pressure. None of them wanted the ball.

Midfielders hiding a bit and not demanding the ball.

You'd see here pointing, give it to somebody else. Bradley Johnson

running behind players. There was no communication. He called Johnson out

of that position. There was none of that communication. It did not like

-- it looked like a never side under pressure from what was said in the

week. Bradley Johnson is saying, give it to somebody else and they

are turning their backs. He gets bullied away from the ball. There

was not the hunger or desire to take responsibility in the first half.

Whatever Chris Hughton said at half-time worked and they were more

positive. The goal from Robert Snodgrass created confidence and

that led to Norwich creating more chances. It did, he did really well

to win the ball from Danny Rose. It was a wonderful pass and finish. I

felt if Norwich were going to win today, it would be Robert

Snodgrass, he was the best player on the pitch. Redman makes this goal,

his desire to make this run, 60 yards, affects Dawson. He sees the

run and to looks over his shoulder and he pulls away. This opens up the

space. He has gone deep and he plays everyone onside and Johnson has

acres of space and he has time will stop it is that one run and you

cannot be selfish. -- and he has time. Norwich could not kill the

game off and that has been their biggest problem, they have only

scored 20 goals, the third lowest in the Premier League. You need to

score goals! In your theory, they were becoming down! -- a will be

going down. This is a lazy flick. He tries to be too clever. He is too

hasty. It is a simple tap in. Norwich did cause problems and

create chances in the second half. You mentioned winning the ball in

the goal, do you have sympathy to date when you see a player so

obviously without confidence? Hush today. It was a brave decision to

lay him because he has no conviction. He misses the header. --

to play him. He is caught in different minds and he does nothing.

He should knock this out of his feet. Dawson has not got pace and he

would not have caught him but because he does not have the

confidence... As a striker, you want to bring your team-mates into play.

He looks lost at the moment and week. He does not look to be up to

the physicality of the Premier League. -- weak. You have got to

work hard and put defenders under pressure and that is not is part of

his name and so I was surprised Hooper did not start. But the only

way to get confident is playing, it is a vicious circle!

Or training. Chris Hughton probably wants to have him the game time to

get him through that but when you are not scoring and your team is at

the bottom of the league, it is more pressure. He has had four shots on

target in 18 appearances. What responsibility do his team-mates

have? Norwich cannot afford... They cannot carry players. He is a

quality player, he has proved that before. But he just cannot... It is

a risk playing him when he will not create chances or score goals.

Saturday 's action, next we go to St James' Park where Joy has been hard

to find recently. Another devastating defeat for

Newcastle United! I do not think that was an honest

display from us. We certainly lacked confidence

tonight and we lacked a lot of other things as well! A great chance

here! I will make sure that is not replicated a game against Aston

Villa. There is tension, Newcastle have the

possibility of a fifth successive home defeat for the first time since

1953. Alan Pardew can recall some of his key players to arrest the slide,

top player Loic Remy returns from suspension and other players from

injury. Paul Lambert thinks Villa can take advantage. He recalls Karim

El Ahmadi. Trying to put a smile back on Tyneside. This is Cheick

Tiote. Loic Remy. Loic Remy went alone. Gathered in the end. A boost

of self belief for Newcastle to have their top scorer back after a three

match absence. Papiss Cisse has a bit of space. Villa are thankful it

spilled out to Nathan Baker and not a Newcastle layer. -- player. Four

It is a good run by Karim El Ahmadi. But the delivery was behind

the Belgian. Newcastle were thankful for that. Nervousness in the

post. I have had a couple of warnings in this situation,

Newcastle, look at this space -- they have had. Before that, nobody

that could have been put on a play. Aston Villa have taken nine points

from the last possible 36. Again, plenty of runners forward for Aston

out, he does go for it. A good strike from Gabriel Agbonlahor.

Always rising. That would not have been stopped if it was on target.

This was the move that against sort defensive lapses, too much time and

space, denied by the goalkeeper. He felt he was fouled, Martin

Atkinson did not. Loic Remy is caught on the edge of the penalty

area by Ron Vlaar. It is a yellow card for the Aston Villa skipper and

the first of the game. A great turn from Loic Remy. How Newcastle could

do with a left and a moment of magic. -- a lift. He went for the

curler and could not find the target, you could see what he was

trying to do, Newcastle 's top scorer.

The last minute of stoppage time. Is there a bright end to the half?

Oh, dear! What a big moment that could be. The clearest opportunity

of the first 45 minutes by some distance. Papiss Cisse unable to

take it. That sums up the trials and tribulations for Newcastle at the

moment. You could hear the groans all around

the ground. They are desperate for one to go in. He could not force

that one in. That was the wrong side of the post.

It was curling and dipping. Not enough from Newcastle 's point of

view. Over seven hours since his team have scored a Premier league

goal at St James' Park. They are desperate for one to arrive

imminently. A roar of encouragement from the

home supporters. They just need one of these to drop. More frustration

from Alan Pardew. 30 minutes to go. The Aston Villa skipper does not

agree that it was a foul. It was disappointing to say the

least, straight against the wall. It was blocked by Baker. Out to Anita.

That was a good challenge by Williamson. Otherwise Newcastle were

in trouble. Finally in Newcastle roar. Loic Remy

denied by Brad Cruzan. -- the goalkeeper. Can they make one camp,

Newcastle? Still Newcastle cannot get a body on

the end of one of those crosses. Calls for handball. There was only

one place that was going, and that was over the crossbar. Newcastle

were desperately appealing for hands. Did it strike his hand? It

was not clear cut and it was not a convincing appeal.

Loic Remy! Can you believe it? Most of St James' Park cannot. Everything

seems to be going against Newcastle at the moment.

A sensible pass. Nobody else that Newcastle would have wanted that to

fall too. He could only hit the post with the goal gaping. He cannot bear

a huge goal for Newcastle United. And it is Loic Remy back in the team

with a Golden Goal. They're fast at St James' Park in over seven and a

half hours of football. Relief all around St James' Park. His 12th

Premier league goal of the season to surely and this horrific run for

Alan Pardew 's side. They needed a special moment. He has finally got

it. How good was that in the 92nd minute? It was special. Not just for

the three points but the lack of a goal was hanging over us. We have

missed to open chances and had a penalty declined. We had one good

chance and it felt the best player on the pitch. The composure was

something special. But, it was the commitment of the players that got

us into that position and I am proud of them. I thought we deserved a

draw. I thought we dominated the first half and Newcastle came back

in the half. We are very relieved tonight. I think the last few games

have been difficult for us. We have lost some important players. We have

got so many injured as well. It was important to win today for the

confidence. It was important to win. Are you in the relegation battle? We

went through it last year. To play like we did, we did not deserve to

lose. Alan Pardew said Loic Remy is going to be hot property. You are

impressed with how he adapted his game. He had to adapt at times.

Wherever he went, he had Ron Vlaar with him. What you want from Loic

Remy, he is at his best when he is trying to get in behind the defence.

Ron Vlaar was with him. A good challenge. He takes the ball of Loic

Remy. Again, a good turn from him. He turned inside. That was happening

time and again. Ron Vlaar was very close. He was stopping any sort of

the men them from Loic Remy. This is where you would want someone like

Yohan Cabaye, trying to go the other side of the defence. That is not

what he wants to do that he was trying to make things happen for the

team and have an impact on the game. And lose from Ron Vlaar. He does not

make any run or intention to try to get into the box. This is where you

want to see your striker. This was his big moment, Ron Vlaar. This big

mistake almost cost his team a goal. It was from deep. He was coming in

steak from Ron Vlaar. Loic Remy has turned him and got onto his left

foot. It was a bad mistake and a good finish. If anyone was going to

school, it was Loic Remy. What do you think the perception is of

Newcastle 's season? Simon Green was very up and down. Alan Pardew has

talked about comparisons with Everton. We are seen as not having a

very good season. There are five points between them. Newcastle win

three out of four and then they lose three out of four. Constantly, they

are up and down. They have lost 11 games this year and Everton have

only lost five with a knock more draws. It is that consistency. -- a

lot more draws. The longer the game was going on, Loic Remy had a big

influence on the game. You do not know how Newcastle will be. They

could be brilliant they could get battered. With Everton, you know how

they will play and they will be in pretty much the games they play. Our

Aston Villa in the relegation battle? I think everyone in the

bottom half of the table are many relegation at all. By half-time,

they should have been in front and could have been in front. Paul

Lambert will be disappointed to have come away without getting anything

All the teams that have changed. Fulham have changed manager tries.

Cardiff, Sunderland, West Brom, Palace. They have all change manager

full stop their form has been better but they are all in massive

relegation trouble. This shows that Sunderland and Crystal Palace have

had big improvements since changing manager. West Brom and Cardiff have

got worse. Does it illustrate for you that with managerial changes,

the two sides that have improved brought to managers with experience

of the British game, you would know their players?

How important was it for Manchester City to eventually get that goal

than what Chelsea had done? Massively important, if you play

early and go ahead, it puts big pressure on other teams to win.

There are games on Sundays and Mondays and teams have to play

catch-up. It is a different type of pressure. If a team around you

loses, it puts pressure on you to win so it is a big time of the

season. Arsenal did not have the pressure because they got off to a

great start. They played well, passed well, created a great goal.

It is so tight at the top with a four points difference. Arsenal need

those goals against the big teams. They have struggled and that has

been their problem. For me, Chelsea and Manchester City are the

favourites. Because of their defence? No, because they have the

best players! This is the Premier League table. Liverpool have closed

the gap. The Champions League continues this

week. Games involving Manchester United and Chelsea. These are two

good and two bad. It was not all glamorous for

Jonathan Pearson. The sprinklers have started and it is raining as

well! He put his hold-up. Felix needs to work on his chewing gum

technique, and he did pick it up but we are not sure if he put it back

in. This was probably the mess of the

weekend but he did connect with the post. -- miss. Arsenal had the team

goal with this. And this was not a bad way for Wayne

Rooney to celebrate his new contract.
