And then later, we'll have two FA Cup quarterfinals,

all in the company of Joey Barton and Kevin Kilbane.

So to Villa Park, and two teams having very different seasons.

They are right to dream. But for us, it is important to dream, but work

very hard. Remi Garde seemed quite honest,

saying how difficult he found it, but when it came to the goals they

conceded, it was down to a lack of communication and experience and you

maybe doubt the latter part of that. You have four internationals on the

backline with 115 years of combined age. If there is any stage you are

experienced, it is now. You look at some of their defending, you can be

nothing but negative about it. Particularly the full-backs? For

sure. Alan Hutton is an international, Cissokho has been

capped by France. Time after time, as we go on, the reaction is really

poor. Lamela gives him five yards. He can do an awful lot more here. He

lets him get a shot away and it is a great save. Hutton did well here,

but as we can see, you are on the counterattack with a bit of

transition and both forwards and start driving forward. Then they

start moaning about the decision. Great play by Harry Kane and Dele

Alli, and they are 1-0 down but you look at this reaction from Cissokho,

that says, don't blame me, it's not my fault. It's not what you need in

a relegation battle. This is farcical, a from half-time, the back

four should be in that position, what they are doing, nobody knows.

They make small error after small error which leads to the second for

Harry Kane and it is almost a game over. And if Cissokho had been

further round he could have covered Kane? For sure. You are a minute

after half-time, that is what Remi Garde will have said, you have

created some chances, and when I have played with teams at the

bottom, Steve Bruce put me at left-back for Wigan. He would say to

sit in my position and play from behind and support. Aston Villa are

not doing that because both full-backs are going forward and

they don't have any support. In those 20 defeats, there has to be a

time for the defensive unit to just sit in, Joleon Lescott has to do

that as a defensive player. For all of the errors and allowing space,

you have to exploit it which is what Spurs did. And they have one of the

best exponent in that in Harry Kane. His movement all afternoon was

phenomenal. This is Danny Rose showing what a full-back should do.

Kane does not have searing pace but he was constantly on the shoulder,

in between defenders. On another afternoon he could have had four or

five. If you are a young boys playing football in the striking

position, you have got to watch him. Not blessed with pace but his

movement, he never allows the defender to pick him up, he is

always in the space between defenders and that is where a lot of

his chances come from Ulster little things here, on the shoulder, alive.

Walker gets back but watch his position. Absolutely perfect for a

centre forward and he takes the shot early. This is the goal, his little

check to stay onside. It is high-class stuff. Great ball from

Alli to spot him. It is a supreme poacher. Linking up, he doesn't stop

and he attacks the space. And he gets his reward. And you are taught

that from an early age, to attack the space? Particularly as a front

man, he also does the basics well. Received the ball, and then attack

the space, if you are in between the goals, the ball will find you and he

does that time and again and he gets his reward. Just on the Spurs

full-backs Kubo bomb on, Walker and Rose -- who both bomb on. When they

do, Dier sits in. Pochettino will have worked on that. The Spurs

full-backs have created width because the three behind Harry Kane

are quite narrow. Eric Dier almost makes a third centre-half. The Villa

centre-backs did not even entertain the space and that is why there were

gaps there. 2-0 flattered Villa. They did have a late chances to draw

level. And early in the game when they missed the chance, but then

they got it together. The longer this went on, this is what Remi

Garde is saying, he has got around them to say, these sorts of chances,

if you are top of the table, they would go in. At the bottom, this is

what you find. It was an awful mess from Gestede. Lescott at the far

post. I'd been in these positions, you feel like everything is going

against you. They are almost feeling sorry for themselves. It is when you

are at the sorry for themselves. It is when you

out. The things you have to talk about, Spurs should have been out of

sight and gone and because of good goalkeeping from Brad Guzan and some

poor finishing from Spurs, it could have been a

finish, 2-0 Southampton. They have had all the chances and they had

scored the goals. Pelle had not scored in 12 matches in the Premier

League but he has two. Afellay. A great ball in and it is turned in on

second half and they have. A good move and their first attempt on

target, turned in by Arnautovic, in great form, his 10th Premier League

goal of the season. Tadic trying to get there and he does and was he

caught? Lee Mason looked at his assistant on the near side who was

unmoved and come in the end, he has given a goal kick. He doesn't

believe Tadic dived, he doesn't believe he was fouled either. This

was the moment. Butland comes to him and I think that is a penalty all

day long. Up by Imbula, cleared by Romeu, back in by Shawcross and

cleared again by Romeu and that is fouled by Mane, a card is coming.

Red! Red for Sadio Mane! I suspect Southampton will probably want that

to be reviewed. That leaves us with Leicester

against Newcastle on Monday. A lot has been said about Rafael Benitez

coming in for Newcastle but does it change things for Leicester? They

will be aware that the new manager has come in, I have played for a few

teams that have had to change their managers at this stage! It gives you

a boost because you want to impress the manager but Leicester will be

aware of that. If they want to win the league, they have to win this.

Looking at it the other way, it focuses Leicester even more. If they

don't beat Newcastle, they would be disappointed regardless of who is in

charge. You would have to ask if Rafa has had enough time to work

with them. You have to fancy Leicester. Especially if they are

going to win the league as everybody hopes! Unless you are a Spurs or

Arsenal or Manchester City fan. Will he keep them up? No, I think big Sam

has more experience and I think Sunderland will stay up ahead of

them. Former Sunderland player Kevin Kilbane! This is the Premier League

table. Leicester can restore the 5-point

cushion if they beat Newcastle tomorrow.

That victory for Spurs was also a 20th league defeat of the season

for Aston Villa, who are eight points adrift at the bottom.

And that gap will grow if Newcastle get anything out of Rafa Benitez's

Harry Kane! Mauricio Pochettino's team have kept themselves in the

from the Emirates FA Cup quarterfinals, with action

from all these four coming up. We'll start with the holders -

Arsenal at home to Watford, Arsenal went on to win the cup after

their last meeting with Watford in this competition, 14 years ago.

Watford fans, some of them, will remember there are victory over

Arsenal at Highbury in 1987. Arsenal go with a strong side. They are

looking to reach a record 29th semifinal. Watford have not gone

further than this since 2007. Pantilimon is a very late

replacement for Heurelho Gomes. Behrami gets his first FA Cup

appearance for the club. Giroud, offside! Arsenal's Jory joy,

short lived. Sanchez coming in off the line. Giroud denied his 21st

goal of the season. Defensively, Watford look a little rocky. Elneny

towards Giroud. Who has won it back. Gabriel had to come in - and that is

a strong challenge. Watford are fuming. Really strong challenge.

Both of them went for it. He played the ball, but was it a two footed

challenge? Oh, that is dangerous. I think that is excessive force. I

think that is a red card. But look at the referee's positioning. In my

mind that should have been a yellow at least and probably a red.

It is an Arsenal corner, the first of the game, after 29 minutes. Up

goes Mertesacker, the Wembley cup final score for Arsenal. Giroud is

also there. Away by Troy Deeney. Towards Elneny! The goalkeeper

hesitated! And Elneny has missed horribly. Had he squared it, he

might have been thinking that they would all be offside. But it was an

awful finish. Watford on the counter. Troy Deeney

waiting for it in the middle. And it is a terrible pass by Ighalo. His

strike partner was in on goal! Look at this. Frustrated with himself.

His manager must be tearing his hair out. He has lost his confidence,

Ighalo, as the goals have dried up for him.

unbeaten run in this competition goes back all the way to 2012-13.

these Arsenal players have to take a long look at themselves. They have

under half an hour to rescue their season. They are surely out of the

is it for them, this competition. And they are second-best at the

their long, long success in this competition. And it might well

herald the end of an era. Strange, because it has come to an

end on a day when we felt that our performance deserved a win. But

let's give credit to Watford for their few chances, they took them

all. But overall we put a decent performance in and it is sad,

because we gave everything. I am really happy for my players and for

the fans. It is an amazing prize for the fans who have followed us all

year. I thought we deserved it. We stuck to the game plan quite well.

two chances, two goals. Who do you want in the semifinal? Palace. Why

not? Any team. I think it is going to beer great day to go there.

Another win, why not? I agree with Troy Deeney 100%. He said about

Arsene Wenger saying that they had had a 70% possession today, but they

have not done enough to go and win the game. Watford today had a good

game plan. They tried to force Arsenal into wide, crossing

positions continuously. They defended between the goals really,

really well. Arsenal kept on crossing the ball into good areas,

but they did not have bodies in the right areas, did not get bodies

forward quick enough. But I thought it was quite any less from Arsenal.

This was really the best of the chances they had in the first half.

Did not really cause Watford to many problems, I did not feel. This was a

great chance from Ake, but he is in a position to do that. He is able to

prevent it going on goal. This was Nyom, brilliant defending, getting

himself in a good position. It is the awareness which is excellent, I

felt. We spoke about Aston Villa not defending as a team, the full-backs

being wide. And here we can see the full-backs narrow, defending as a

team, defending as a unit. That is what this performance has been based

on. Half-cocked there, fantastic challenge. When you play Arsenal,

you know they will try to come through the middle of you. --

Cathcart there. So you back yourself to defend the width? Yes, which is

what they have done. They have said, we are going to give you the ball

out wide and say to you, go on, cross it, you have got one man in

the box and we fancy ourselves to defend it. And they did. So, compare

and contrast. It is what Deeney said - they had a game plan, but they

also tried to hit them on the counterattack. We have look at the

linkup play between Deeney and Ighalo throughout this season. This

was Ighalo in a good position. It is a poor pass at the end of it. Ighalo

gets wrong side of the Arsenal defenders - poor pass. He knows it.

But this goal said it all. Arsenal do not get themselves in position.

Sanchez needs to get himself back in there. It is still 0-0 at this

stage. Deeney just outmuscles the two of them. Then Gabriel gets

around the defender to finish. This is not look, getting into a good

wide position, brilliant downward header from Deeney creating another

opening. And this is where the goal comes from. Ighalo helps it into an

area. Again, the hold-up play from Deeney freeze it up - and it is a

brilliant strike. I would not question the goalkeeper so much

there. I would question the defender turning his back on it. Arsenal were

not in the game until the substitution. Yes, it was too

little, too late. It is strange with Arsenal were they go from Tibi of

course,, was ashen football, and then when they are chasing the game,

they end up launching it and actually they get some joy from it.

What about the Gabriel tackle? I actually thought it was a red card.

I look at it a few times. Andre Marriner is in a perfect position.

It looks like it is a wholehearted challenge between two players. But

it is two footed, it is reckless. I think it is a red card. If you

contrast it yesterday with Mane's red card, Lee Mason was guessing

because he did not seek it. There is an argument it is a yellow

card. It is a committed challenge, it is an FA Cup quarterfinal, it is

important to set a marker. It is a full-blooded, committed challenge,

probably a yellow card, I like to see tackling in football!

Manchester United were knocked out by Arsenal at Old Trafford

Could West Ham do the same this year?

COMMENTATOR: After their defeat at Anfield, Manchester United's Euro

referendum is looking more out than in so the FA Cup might be a last

chance to salvage something from the season but nobody

goalkeeper he has beaten, it is David de Gea. That is magnificent.

It is unsaveable. Dimitri Payet has scored some beauties this season but

that might be the daddy of them all. Dimitri Payet, West Ham celebrate

and they are 22 minutes away from the FA Cup semifinal. Louis Van Gaal

looking very glum. You know what would happen in the old days,

Manchester United would pummel West Ham into submission and probably win

it with two goals in the 98th minute. Herrera. Nicely clipped and

into the back of the net! They have found the goal through Martial! A

lifeline! Anthony Martial from the tightest of angles and it is 1-1.

More than just an equaliser, it might almost be salvation, we will
