Hello and welcome to the tunnel at the marvellous Maracana are. We have

seen some drama at the World Cup over the last few days, but let me

warn you, we are about to see today something which might be absolutely

everything. Neil Lennon is with us. We watched Spain against Chile, but

first, we will start with the Dutch, who were taking on Australia.

Commentary comes from Steve Bauer. The Netherlands will be hoping that

with another win, they will be securing their place in the last 16.

Australia were valiant in defeat against Chile, but they know they

need something, otherwise their tournament will be virtually over.

Ryan McGowan and former rangers midfielder Mathieu McKay are

which was so impressive in beating Spain. Robin van Persie and Arjen

Australia have made such a positive start. Once he was away, there was

no catching him and no chance for Matt Ryan in the Australia goal. His

Tim Cahill! Oh, what a strike! Tim Cahill has done it again for

Australia! He just loves the World Cup, doesn't he?! His fifth goal in

World Cup Finals, his second in Brazil. And immediately, Australia

are level! Two goals inside one minute. What a finish this was!

Australia called an all-time record goal-scorer has done it again.

That is neatly worked from Jedinak. A drop of the shoulder from Leckie.

Bresciano! Opportunity for Australia. Bresciano, under pressure

from de Guzman, could not keep it down. Had he hit the target, that

was foul by Martins Indi on Tim Cahill. Cahill, the obvious target.

And there was another chance, this time for the central defender

Spiranovic. His 20th cap, he has never scored for Australia.

Good try from Sneijder! And it was a good save from Ryan in the

Australian goal. Wesley Sneijder, his first sight of goal today.

Appeals for handball, and he has given it! It is a penalty to

Australia! Djamel Haimoudi points to the spot, 7.5 minutes into the

second half. Australia captain Jedinak to give his team the lead

against the Netherlands. This could be a huge moment. Here comes the

are leading the Netherlands! He had a long time to wait, but he sent

Cillessen the wrong way. Again, Australia are back in

And Robin van Persie scores his fifth World Cup goal, his third of

this tournament, and the Dutch are back on terms. Did the referee's

him on. Van Persie's 11th goal in his last ten appearances for his

country. His 46th for the Netherlands, their all-time record

goal-scorer. All square once again in Porto Alegre.

That was slack, McKay has nipped in! It is Tommy Oar for Australia! Well,

Leckie tried to improvise. It was saved in the end by Cillessen. Tommy

Oar could have gone for goal himself, but the Netherlands

survive. A long way out, but Depay has

scored! Memphis Depay, the 20-year-old substitute, with his

very first international goal. And he has put the Netherlands back in

front! Great moment for the Eindhoven youngster. And for all the

Dutch supporters. Nobody closed him down, he saw the opportunity, it

moved a touch in the air. Matt Ryan will be disappointed.

So, that win for the Dutch meant feat for Spain here would send the

world champions home from the World Cup. Commentary comes from Danny

Murphy and Simon Brotherton. Was it just a bad day at the office

last Friday for Spain, or was it the beginning of the end for the

champions at this World Cup? If Spain lose tonight, they are out.

But here come Spain with Diego Costa. Just behind David Silva.

Iniesta will keep it in. And the flag goes up on the near

side. Chile were overplaying it, getting themselves in trouble.

play again. The two best chances we have seen from either side have been

Casillas, I do not know what he is thinking, why he is punching that.

If he is going to punch it, he has got to punch it wide, anyway. It is

easy to criticise goalkeepers, but that is a horrific decision, for him

to punch that, it really is. And here is Diego Costa for Spain!

And it is smothered behind. He has got to score. Incisive passing from

Iniesta, this is what he does. He gets it stuck under his feet, it is

a poor touch. In the middle of the season, Diego Costa, those were the

type of chances that he was eating up. Pedro goes down, free kick. Good

position for Pedro, coming in to those little spaces, causing

deciding not to catch it, and it has come back in! And that was a

glorious opportunity for Sergio Busquets. I am starting to think it

might not be their night. It is just not happening for Spain. Again, the

goalkeeper causes the problems, a ridiculous punch my ridiculous. I

have not got Busquets' goal-scoring record in front of me, but I am

pretty sure it is not very good. He has never scored for Spain, and this

off-the-ball. They never gave them time to settle, right through the

team, disciplined, tactically perfect. Playing some sensational

football. Everybody will like to talk about systems, whether the

Spanish system is one of the past. What it comes down to, Spain's one

did not work on the day, Chile thoroughly outplayed them? I think

Chile would have wanted it more than any team on the day. You could sense

there was something special during the national anthem. The atmosphere

in the stadium, they were outnumbered 10-1. It was their day.

It will take a good seem to beat them. We have watched the world and

European champions walked past us, you could see the disappointment on

their faces. They came here to win another World Cup, and they go home.

It is the end of a winning year. There will be a huge fallout, a lot
