Welcome back to coverage of the fourth day of the Olympic Games here

:00:20.:00:25.

in Rio. Straight back to the white water stadium for the men's C 1

:00:26.:00:30.

final. David Florence of Great Britain sadly, mistakes for him on

:00:31.:00:33.

his run means he will not challenge for a medal.

:00:34.:00:44.

Takuya Haneda of Japan. He may be aware of what has happened on the

:00:45.:00:48.

course. He will have heard the reaction from the crowd and there

:00:49.:00:52.

are a huge number of British fans in the crowd today, which is great to

:00:53.:00:56.

see. Such a commitment to come out to Rio. David flourns has family --

:00:57.:01:02.

Florence has family and friends here. Jo Clark will have as well.

:01:03.:01:08.

Fiona Penny. We have more opportunities. We qualified four

:01:09.:01:12.

boats. It's not all over. Florence, I guess in the C 1 was the biggest

:01:13.:01:17.

chance. Absolutely. Coming into it as world champion, you would say

:01:18.:01:20.

that he was. He has an Olympic Silver Medal as well. Olympic

:01:21.:01:26.

competition is Olympic competition. Other competitors are equally

:01:27.:01:29.

capable of getting medals. David could be out there in two days

:01:30.:01:50.

with Richard Hounslow as well. He's in a position to make the

:01:51.:01:58.

podium here. He's leading the way. There's the first mistake. A bit low

:01:59.:02:03.

on 20. Battles his way back into the biggest white water on this course

:02:04.:02:07.

here. This is where you've got to stay strong. This is where all the

:02:08.:02:14.

hours of training pay off. The time is still good. I'm not sure if he

:02:15.:02:22.

will match Benus. On he goes, driving for the line now. Japan's

:02:23.:02:28.

Takuya Haneda records a time of 97. 44. That puts him into Silver Medal

:02:29.:02:35.

position ahead of Casey Eichfeld with Matej Benus leading the way.

:02:36.:02:42.

Haneda putting in a good performance, but maybe just doesn't

:02:43.:02:47.

have that raw speed that Benus has. He did a really good performance. He

:02:48.:02:51.

was tight around the poles but doesn't have the same finesse.

:02:52.:03:00.

Haneda taking a nice exit there. He drives back across the course from

:03:01.:03:07.

gate 20 to 21. A big stopper, they want to keep their boats as dry as

:03:08.:03:12.

they can. He's an exciting paddler. It's nice when Japan don't have that

:03:13.:03:18.

many paddlers, but Haneda's success is quite phenomenal. So often he

:03:19.:03:23.

makes the finals of the major Championships. He's done it here. Is

:03:24.:03:29.

he going away with a medal? The big names are still to come. Waiting for

:03:30.:03:37.

the next paddler down Mekonnen Gebremedhin. He was the first --

:03:38.:03:47.

Vitezslav Gebas. Plenty of fans here from Prague, where he's from. 31

:03:48.:03:51.

years old. He's been on the scene for a long, long time.

:03:52.:03:59.

Vitezslav This is where you set up the line. A

:04:00.:04:14.

quick whip around. Tricky line out on the changeable stopper, ducking

:04:15.:04:17.

under the pole. We want to see as direct line as possible. Watch the

:04:18.:04:21.

split. Not sure he can match it. He can't. Those stoppers just after

:04:22.:04:27.

seven, two stoppers in a row, both getting the better of him. Valuable

:04:28.:04:30.

time going missing. No penalties as yet. Really looks as though he's

:04:31.:04:36.

chasing Haneda's time of 97. 44. Nice track through the stopper

:04:37.:04:40.

there, rolling off the back, using the boat edges very nicely. A long

:04:41.:04:45.

cross into 17. This is where they set themselves up for the spin move

:04:46.:04:52.

on gate 19. Battling across for the big drop. He dropped 2. 3 in the

:04:53.:04:59.

first seven, eight gates. He's held his own in the mid-section of the

:05:00.:05:02.

course. If he gets stronger from here, he might be able to secure

:05:03.:05:08.

second place. A margin of 2. 42 between first and second in the

:05:09.:05:15.

finish at the moment. Good move from Gebas. The blade driving deep,

:05:16.:05:20.

pulling hard, keeping is perpendicular to the water to

:05:21.:05:23.

maximise the effect of the paddle stroke. Drives to the line. Just

:05:24.:05:28.

misses out on second place. Fractions between him and han

:05:29.:05:41.

havenlt -- Haneda. You see him working very hard towards the end of

:05:42.:05:44.

that runner. Quicker than his semifinal. He should be pleased. I'm

:05:45.:05:47.

not sure if he will be in the medals. Four boats to go. It will be

:05:48.:05:59.

very tight. Savsek, Elosegi, Tasiadis, those are four of the

:06:00.:06:03.

biggest names in the game. Slovenia, France, Spain and Germany

:06:04.:06:07.

represented. But it's Slovakia that they're trying to knock off top

:06:08.:06:11.

spot. The Slovakians, who've had two gold medals in this discipline,

:06:12.:06:14.

first in 1996 and again in 2008. It's only the eighth time that canoe

:06:15.:06:34.

slalom has been in the Olympic Games. Started in '72. Germany have

:06:35.:06:43.

had one gold in '72 in Munich. If you are a fan, it's worth googling

:06:44.:06:46.

that event, because the change in the sport since then is quite

:06:47.:06:50.

phenomenal. The size of the boats or the volume of the boats has begun

:06:51.:06:55.

down by about a quarter or a third. The approach, it was all about

:06:56.:06:58.

staying clean in those days. Nowadays you have to take risks.

:06:59.:07:02.

Have you to risk losing if you want to win. This is a man who likes to

:07:03.:07:07.

be ahead of the game. He likes to get his boat positioned so he can

:07:08.:07:12.

drive through. You see him there prime example what have he likes to

:07:13.:07:16.

be in. It's looking good. Again getting ahead of it, a little twitch

:07:17.:07:22.

on the back, really using their blade to steer it in. Yesterday we

:07:23.:07:29.

wouldn't have got too excited bay margin of -- by a margin of 0. 88.

:07:30.:07:34.

But this is going to be a tight race. 0. 88 good enough for a medal

:07:35.:07:39.

at the moment. We will get another split in a few gates. Looking for a

:07:40.:07:46.

time of around 83 seconds, just under. Two penalties added and

:07:47.:07:53.

Benjamin Savsek, he's good, he's fast. Four penalty seconds added

:07:54.:07:58.

now. I'm afraid that's his chance of taking top spot gone. He'll be

:07:59.:08:02.

fortunate if he can make a podium position. He's three seconds at

:08:03.:08:09.

least outside the best. Often produces the fastest time on the

:08:10.:08:13.

course, but with four penalties even Benjamin Savsek can't make up for

:08:14.:08:21.

that. Matej Benus of Slovakia will be

:08:22.:08:24.

getting more and more excited but more and more nervous as this race

:08:25.:08:31.

goes on. There are just three to go - France with Denis Gargaud Chanut,

:08:32.:08:36.

Spain with Ander Elosegi - there's a man who's finished fourth in two

:08:37.:08:39.

successive Olympics. Will he come away with gold? If he comes away

:08:40.:08:45.

with any medal he'll be tape and Sideris Tasiadis, who was in a class

:08:46.:08:48.

of his own in the semifinal. He certainly was. He won that semifinal

:08:49.:08:52.

by a couple of seconds, looking superb. It will be very interesting

:08:53.:09:03.

to see can Elosegi get into that podium position? Great shots and

:09:04.:09:09.

great tension, particularly in the waiting pool at the top of the run.

:09:10.:09:13.

242 metres, the length of this course. Water piling down the run

:09:14.:09:21.

every second, 12 tons of water a second going past the gate. It's

:09:22.:09:25.

difficult to quite understand the power until they get it wrong. In

:09:26.:09:30.

the demos last night, one or two got it wrong. You realise how much

:09:31.:09:33.

control the water takes of the paddler when that happens. You saw

:09:34.:09:38.

them washed away. We saw it in the heats, when something went wrong.

:09:39.:09:41.

You caught the edge, that's it you're down the river before you

:09:42.:09:48.

know it. This is Gargaud Chanut of France. Nice and clean. The world

:09:49.:09:54.

champion from way back in 2011. Hasn't had much success at Majors

:09:55.:09:58.

since then. Not looking quite as steady off the start. I think he

:09:59.:10:03.

needs to find his rhythm, get the boat tracking down stream. He likes

:10:04.:10:07.

the long strokes. He's called the acrobat of the water in the French

:10:08.:10:12.

team. He really dances with it. Beautiful through seven. He's maybe

:10:13.:10:17.

just outside the leading time. Won't be much in it. In fact just inside.

:10:18.:10:23.

You said you thought this was going to be won by a smooth descent rather

:10:24.:10:30.

than aggressive, powerful one. Gargaud Chanut renowned for using

:10:31.:10:33.

the water well. He looks as though he's not working hard. He's less

:10:34.:10:37.

aggressive, but he has this long stroke. But they're so precise. He

:10:38.:10:40.

uses the strokes well. Watch him when he drops down to gate 19. Watch

:10:41.:10:46.

how he jumps off the drop-off. There goes 18. Now breaking to the right.

:10:47.:10:50.

This is the drop-off. Times his stroke well. Spins. That's about as

:10:51.:10:54.

good as we've seen so far. It's going to be competitive from the

:10:55.:11:01.

Frenchman. Needs 82, 83 through gate 22. He was up on the last split. He

:11:02.:11:06.

hasn't given anything away. He needs to spin on the spo. -- spot. He

:11:07.:11:13.

needs the final line. He lifts the bow over the stopper there in the

:11:14.:11:17.

final stopper on the course and drive. Looking for the time - I

:11:18.:11:25.

think he's inside. He is! Slovakia demoted to second and France with

:11:26.:11:30.

Denis Gargaud Chanut the world champion from 2011, is in a position

:11:31.:11:35.

to take the Olympic title in 2016. Only two men still to come.

:11:36.:11:40.

Both of them world-class paddlers. Both of them on the lips of those

:11:41.:11:44.

discussing the possible winners. Gargaud Chanut can't celebrate quite

:11:45.:11:49.

yet, but he's put in a - not a perfect run, but it was smooth at

:11:50.:11:53.

the top. Unbelievable how he found so much time from the semifinals to

:11:54.:11:58.

the finals. He was just, the top bit actually wasn't as good as the first

:11:59.:12:02.

run. Then he picked it up from about gate five. He was really in his

:12:03.:12:06.

rhythm, really in his flow. On top of the water, using it. He made the

:12:07.:12:11.

staggers between eight, nine, ten, 11, 12, 13, #14, 15, look like they

:12:12.:12:16.

weren't there. He used every inch of water. That's very deceptive on this

:12:17.:12:22.

course. That's where the time is being gained. That is what Benus and

:12:23.:12:26.

Gargaud Chanut are good at. They use the water beautifully. It will show

:12:27.:12:30.

that is what is winning the race at the moment. We've not seen much of

:12:31.:12:37.

Gargaud Chanut. He got second in the second of the three world cups that

:12:38.:12:40.

have been held. Here's a man who hasn't made the top ten of a World

:12:41.:12:43.

Cup is far this year. He's the number one Spaniard. He has a great

:12:44.:12:48.

record from Lee Valley, having got fourth in the Olympics. He took

:12:49.:12:51.

fourth in Beijing as well. Is he going to be able to change his

:12:52.:12:57.

fortunes? Will he get a medal? Looking for a time, well a two

:12:58.:13:00.

second penalty is about the worst possible thing. It's come on gate

:13:01.:13:04.

number four. I can't think of anyone else who's made a mistake on that

:13:05.:13:08.

gate. Nicely into gate seven, so far. This is the changeable bit of

:13:09.:13:15.

water, though. He wants to eliminate that stagger as much as possible.

:13:16.:13:22.

He's outside the leading time. Remember, he has a two second

:13:23.:13:26.

penalty. He has a faster course time than the race leaders. The penalty

:13:27.:13:30.

coming at one, that's just been changed. Gate number one and well,

:13:31.:13:35.

he can only wrap himself on the knuckles for that. He has to change

:13:36.:13:40.

his approach, no doubt about it. Fastest gate 17 we've seen so far.

:13:41.:13:44.

Where's he going to far E.On the split? Fare on the split? We will

:13:45.:13:54.

still see him in the middle positions if he can take another

:13:55.:13:58.

second-and-a-half off his time. He could challenge for second. Matej

:13:59.:14:02.

Benus of Slovakia in second at the moment. For Elosegi, don't tell me

:14:03.:14:06.

he's going to finish in fourth for the third time in succession? They

:14:07.:14:10.

ought to make a medal for him. I don't know what you'd make it out

:14:11.:14:14.

of. You've got to feel for the man if that is what happens. He's got

:14:15.:14:23.

one gate and 25 metres to go. Elosegi in the end, a disappointing

:14:24.:14:27.

finish and it all went wrong on gate number one. Generous applause from

:14:28.:14:33.

the crowd. The Olympic dream has not materialised for the Spaniard.

:14:34.:14:39.

Picking up that first penalty point here right at the top of the course,

:14:40.:14:45.

oh, just cutting it too tight on the inside pole. Very difficult for us

:14:46.:14:51.

to see. Another penalty at gate 19. We haven't seen so many penalties.

:14:52.:14:56.

More penalties in this final than in the semifinal. Spain's chance of Med

:14:57.:15:12.

ago now with the women. -- medaling. She had a scare in the heats

:15:13.:15:17.

yesterday. We see the women's K 1 not tomorrow but the next day.

:15:18.:15:21.

Tomorrow is all about K 1, Joe Clarke going for Great Britain in

:15:22.:15:26.

that event. From what we saw on the second run, he has the potential to

:15:27.:15:31.

win. And he has the potential to pick up plenty of 50s. Let's hope it

:15:32.:15:34.

goes well for him. One man to go here.

:15:35.:15:45.

Tasiadis, who was absolutely outstanding on the first run. Almost

:15:46.:15:50.

two and a half seconds quicker than anyone else, safely through gate one

:15:51.:16:00.

where Elosegi put himself out of the running, effectively. This has been

:16:01.:16:03.

a really good running for the top part of the course. He needs around

:16:04.:16:08.

22. If he is under 22, that is great news. If he's over 22, he has a lot

:16:09.:16:14.

of work to do. 22 exactly, he is on course. Then he gets a little stuck

:16:15.:16:19.

in those two stoppers. The fastest was recorded by gargantuan new

:16:20.:16:26.

friends. He is 1.8 outside Gargaud Chanut. You can only guess how he

:16:27.:16:35.

feels at the moment. He may only be some 35 seconds away from Olympic

:16:36.:16:40.

gold. We don't forget, Tasiadis was unbelievable on the first run. Two

:16:41.:16:45.

penalty seconds. From what we've seen, that's an indication that the

:16:46.:16:49.

gold is not going his way. A penalty on gate nine will be very costly.

:16:50.:16:56.

2.33 down on the split. He will have too nailed this spin. You want to

:16:57.:17:02.

get the push-up. Slow and wide, having to duck in that poll. This

:17:03.:17:09.

will not be that quick. His approach into the next one was not that quick

:17:10.:17:14.

either. This might just be good enough or bronze medal position. Her

:17:15.:17:19.

nadir of Japan is lying in bronze at the moment. -- Takuya Haneda of

:17:20.:17:23.

Japan is lying in bronze position at the moment. Will Tanika Haneda be

:17:24.:17:30.

pushed down? It's close, 3.73. Tasiadis who won the semifinal goes

:17:31.:17:36.

down into fifth position, and Denis Gargaud Chanut of France is the

:17:37.:17:42.

Olympic winner. You cannot say he doesn't deserve it. He's been an

:17:43.:17:46.

outstanding Pablo over the years, very consistent. Of course, he was

:17:47.:17:52.

the World Champion back in 2011. -- outstanding paddler. That has now

:17:53.:17:57.

been trumped as he takes the Olympic title here in Rio. So many changes

:17:58.:18:00.

from that first run. You have to feel for Tasiadis,

:18:01.:18:14.

Helen. A lot of expectation. We were chatting about the ideal position to

:18:15.:18:19.

start the last run. We actually said Gargaud Chanut would be denied he

:18:20.:18:22.

will be the third from last to go. He hasn't got the pressure that

:18:23.:18:27.

Tasiadis has by going last. Absolutely, and that does count for

:18:28.:18:32.

an awful lot. Plus Tasiadis did a good semifinal run and it's always

:18:33.:18:35.

harder to replicate something than it is to improve on something. He

:18:36.:18:39.

was always in the toughest position and his time for the semifinal run

:18:40.:18:43.

would have put him in bronze today. It probably is extremely

:18:44.:18:49.

frustrating. What I find interesting about Gargaud Chanut and Benus, they

:18:50.:18:53.

were very delicate. They really used the water and that is what one

:18:54.:18:57.

today. Compared to the semifinals where it seemed to be more about

:18:58.:19:01.

brute force and making sure you were working on top of the water, having

:19:02.:19:06.

to work very hard, today was very much a part of working with the

:19:07.:19:09.

water, getting ahead of the game and ironing out those staggers. Let's

:19:10.:19:15.

have a look at the standings. Takuya Haneda gets Japan's first C1 medal

:19:16.:19:25.

in bronze position. Slovakia, six Olympics in a row they have taken a

:19:26.:19:30.

medal in this position. Denis Gargaud Chanut is now the first

:19:31.:19:37.

Frenchman to claim the title. Now, Denis Gargaud Chanut is going to be

:19:38.:19:42.

the man they talk about. He takes Olympic gold hero Deodoro.

:19:43.:19:47.

And that is not just France's second gold medal of the games, it is the

:19:48.:19:53.

second gold medal of the day because they won the team eventing. Let's

:19:54.:19:57.

had to Matthew Pinsent. For David Florence finishing last in the

:19:58.:20:03.

final, desperately disappointing. It just shows everyone at home how

:20:04.:20:08.

these tiny margins are involved in canoe slalom. If you miss one, clip

:20:09.:20:13.

pawn, make one tiny mistake get the wrong position on the flow, it's all

:20:14.:20:19.

over. -- clip warden. He will know better than anyone what went wrong,

:20:20.:20:24.

but you have to feel for him. This was one of the main aims for him, to

:20:25.:20:29.

come to Rio Andy two events. He still has the C2 too, so we are

:20:30.:20:33.

still holding a flame to him and his medal chances in Rio. What is the

:20:34.:20:38.

overall reaction to that course? You did look incredibly tough. Everyone

:20:39.:20:46.

is keen that it's fair. Absolutely, there's been no chat about it being

:20:47.:20:50.

anything other than a top quality course. It was changed last night at

:20:51.:20:54.

the request of some of the coaches. I think the British were involved in

:20:55.:20:59.

that decision as well. There's no conspiracy about the course, it was

:21:00.:21:05.

absolutely fair. Canoe slalom is a fantastic sport. There have been

:21:06.:21:08.

some empty seats here at Deodoro, like with all the venues across Rio.

:21:09.:21:14.

It was a completely fair competition and I'm sure David, who is standing

:21:15.:21:21.

next to me, will attest to that when we get to talk to him. Talk to him

:21:22.:21:26.

now if you want to, if he's right there. We are desperate to, but the

:21:27.:21:30.

politics of the are in such that other people go first. You will have

:21:31.:21:36.

to just bear with us while he needs other media requirements, but here

:21:37.:21:42.

he is, right on cue. Please don't swear, you're on live television,

:21:43.:21:45.

because you may feel like swearing after that performance. It wasn't my

:21:46.:21:52.

best, I'm a bit disappointed. Was there anything particular that you

:21:53.:21:55.

can put your finger on, or is it too soon? Obviously, it went

:21:56.:22:02.

catastrophically wrong with that one move at gate eight or nine, whatever

:22:03.:22:06.

it was. I wasn't really any recovering from there. I don't know.

:22:07.:22:12.

People at home might have seen it, but a little testament to the sport

:22:13.:22:15.

that you sat at the bottom, applauded everybody as they came

:22:16.:22:20.

down. I saw you said sorry to the German who was leading between the

:22:21.:22:25.

last run because he hadn't converted his transceiver. I'm most

:22:26.:22:31.

disappointed, sometimes you put in a great run a new finish fourth or

:22:32.:22:35.

fifth in you think, if only. But oh well, I made a good effort. I just

:22:36.:22:40.

didn't really get it right today which is disappointing. A lot of

:22:41.:22:44.

these guys are my friends and it's a shame when I see someone else we

:22:45.:22:48.

doesn't go right for them. Does the shop in your appetite for the C2? --

:22:49.:22:56.

sharpen your appetite. Not really, I don't think anything changes. I'm

:22:57.:23:00.

used to competing in both. I will give my all to the C2 whether I had

:23:01.:23:05.

one before finish last. I'm very fortunate that I have another chance

:23:06.:23:09.

stopped a lots of top guys that don't have that. I'm lucky that my

:23:10.:23:15.

Olympics isn't over just yet. Not over, but we will be here to see it

:23:16.:23:20.

through to its completion. Weldon, Matthew, for managing to get

:23:21.:23:25.

a word with David Florence. I'm sorry, I didn't realise he was in

:23:26.:23:29.

the middle of an interview. When is the C2 with Richard Hounslow? In 48

:23:30.:23:35.

hours' time. They qualified through so we will expect to see them there.

:23:36.:23:40.

The same format, a semifinal and then a final. The same format

:23:41.:23:45.

applies, one mistake, one to second penalty or miss a gate and it can be

:23:46.:23:51.

all over. As it was indeed today for David Florence. Thank you to David

:23:52.:23:55.

and our commentary team. More canoe slalom still to come with the C2

:23:56.:24:01.

coming up in 48 hours. As you can tell, so many sports going on all of

:24:02.:24:05.

the same time. Here on the BBC were trying to give you the chance to

:24:06.:24:06.

watch them all. To help you make even more of your

:24:07.:24:17.

review 2016 Olympic Games from boxing to badminton, hockey to

:24:18.:24:21.

handball, we have it all covered right here on the BBC. As well as

:24:22.:24:26.

coverage on BBC One, BBC Four and BBC Radio 5live, you can access up

:24:27.:24:31.

to 24 sports on the BBC website or by the app. The very best of these

:24:32.:24:38.

will be available on the Red Button by satellite, cable or free view,

:24:39.:24:42.

depending on your set-top box, or your TV receiver. If that's not

:24:43.:24:46.

enough, you can download the BBC sport app where you can set up news

:24:47.:24:50.

and alerts and live event reminders so you can follow all your favourite

:24:51.:24:54.

sports. And of course if you want to be

:24:55.:24:58.

inspired to follow a sport you could do that, or volunteer. These two

:24:59.:25:03.

alongside me were both volunteers at London 2012 and you are regaining

:25:04.:25:07.

here. We are in the rowing this time. We've got a day off so we

:25:08.:25:11.

thought we'd come to the park and see everything. We just went to see

:25:12.:25:16.

some fencing. It's been great. You didn't know each other before

:25:17.:25:22.

London. What happened? What happened was we were both volunteers at the

:25:23.:25:25.

Aquatic Centre. We saw each other there, we fell in love and the rest

:25:26.:25:30.

is history. We hear again in video. We're trying to make this a

:25:31.:25:35.

tradition. -- we are here again in Rio. In terms of the work, is it all

:25:36.:25:41.

going smoothly? It's all going great. We are looking after the VIPs

:25:42.:25:48.

coming into the rowing. There was a slight issue with neighbouring the

:25:49.:25:51.

other day, but it's all coming back on track now. Would you volunteer at

:25:52.:25:59.

another games? We have signed up for career at the Winter Olympics, and

:26:00.:26:02.

we are also looking forward to Tokyo even though that is a bit early.

:26:03.:26:06.

That is a love story of volunteering. If you love

:26:07.:26:09.

gymnastics, that is what's coming your way very soon.

:26:10.:26:11.

I love gymnastics because... It requires so much dedication, so

:26:12.:26:22.

much attention to detail. So much commitment at a young age. It's all

:26:23.:26:28.

about faster, higher, stronger. Can you be the best in the world?

:26:29.:26:34.

Everything, the ultimate sports. Gymnastics is so difficult, you

:26:35.:26:37.

can't just jump on the floor and do a double backflip. You have to be

:26:38.:26:44.

absolutely precise. You have to do a backflip, then a double twist into

:26:45.:26:47.

that, then you're getting impressive. It's a great feeling

:26:48.:26:52.

when you push through with a team. A great feeling.

:26:53.:26:57.

The men's team just missed out on a medal yesterday. They just finished

:26:58.:27:01.

out of the bronze medal position. Could the women do it today? Beth

:27:02.:27:06.

Tweddle is there at the Olympic Arena. Give us a realistic

:27:07.:27:12.

assessment. We had a mixed in the qualification. There were a few

:27:13.:27:15.

falls. Hopefully we can iron them out today. But realistically we are

:27:16.:27:19.

top five in the world. We could sneak a bronze today. You know all

:27:20.:27:24.

of these goals, you competed with them. The Downie sisters, Amy

:27:25.:27:30.

Tinkler, Ruby Harrold, Claudia Fragapane E. What are they like in

:27:31.:27:34.

their strengths? The differences they really bonded together. You've

:27:35.:27:39.

got a lot of characters within a team but it all just seems to really

:27:40.:27:43.

work really well. Ruby has taken on the lead of becoming the team

:27:44.:27:52.

captain. You can hear the noise now, apologies. Together they work well

:27:53.:27:57.

with each other and they rallied around if somebody makes a mistake.

:27:58.:28:03.

The USA are obviously hot favourites here for gold and they're led by

:28:04.:28:07.

Simone Biles. Are you excited to see them? Yes, the US they were ten

:28:08.:28:13.

marks ahead in the qualification. To be honest, they're going to walk

:28:14.:28:18.

that gold barring an injury. The real battle will be for that silver

:28:19.:28:22.

and bronze. There are four or five teams that could take those two

:28:23.:28:27.

medals. It looks a fabulous arena. Have you got a decent crowd? The

:28:28.:28:32.

crowd is really good. It usually starts off a little bit less. By the

:28:33.:28:38.

end of it, it gets even. Also we have the Brazilian girls. Thus my's

:28:39.:28:42.

atmosphere was incredible. I'm expecting the same tonight. What

:28:43.:28:49.

order will they be going on? The British girls. Bombards which is one

:28:50.:28:52.

of our strongest pieces. Then we will finish over on the vault, which

:28:53.:28:57.

usually is a great piece to finish on. -- the British girls will start

:28:58.:29:06.

off on bars. Thank you, and we will be joining the team over on BBC One

:29:07.:29:10.

shortly. That lady over there with the hat is called Mari and she is

:29:11.:29:14.

working with the Cook Islands team having met them at the Commonwealth

:29:15.:29:18.

Games in Glasgow. She decided to stick with them as they decided to

:29:19.:29:21.

try to meet their first Olympic medal. It is wonderful, the

:29:22.:29:25.

characters you meet. Join us again on BBC One.
