Blues v Treviso Scrum V Live Pro 12

In September, the slate was clean. Battle lines were drawn. Now after

seven months of manoeuvring, of victories, of defeats, of

stalemate... The end is nigh. This weekend those who'd would be King 's

face-off in battle for supremacy. It is far from a two horse race. For

those whose chance of Victor Riu had faded, pride and hope remains. --

whose chance of victory had faded. The six Nations may have come to an

end but there is no rest for the internationals. Sam Warburton,

Gethin Jenkins, Lloyd Williams and Kevin James among those in for the

Cardiff Blues today. Gareth Anscombe will be starting at fly-half. This

may look like an encrusted rancher battle, don't be fought. The bonus

point win both take the Blues about Edinburgh in seventh place and

point win both take the Blues about premature. Realistically, they will

have to win all of the games this season because the teams above them

are strong. They have put themselves in a great position and gone

are strong. They have put themselves is playing at four so he adds to the

speed of the pack come along with the likes of Gethin Jenkins.

Also the red squad -- Welsh squad for the championship. You know Danny

Wilson well, Sean Holley. What has impressed you from the Blues?

He bought me a copy today, that impressed me. He has been talking

about the style he wants to see. They are expecting to play in the

wider channels with Reese natural at 15. They need to be aware they don't

concede from the driving more. They did against Munster and then an easy

win against Glasgow. Why is Rhys Patchell at 15? He is a strong and

fast man. You can see him in the channels, beating a Munster winger.

There has been detail in the attack and Wilson. Developing quick ball,

good ball presentation. A good miss pass and Dan Fish on the wing, he is

so flat he brings up the fullback. A lot of space in behind. A chip into

the back field and they were in to score. Look out for Rhys Patchell

and Dan Fish. I expect a bonus point win tonight.

Here we are, approaching the run-in. The Blues are still in with a chance

of reaching the top six. Three open side tonight. If it an indication

you are going for it will be five points?

We have picked the team with combinations we thought was the best

approach to play this opposition and that is basically to play a high

tempo game that we haven't played well at home. We think it is the way

to beat the opposition. Our first objective will be to get the win and

if we can do that, get a bonus point.

Can the Blues win the ninth home games this season and take a big

step towards European qualification? We can find out now in the company

of Martyn Williams, in the commentary box, and Gareth Charles.

It isn't quite the Cardiff half marathon from Martyn Williams that

he is on his way, as are Treviso. Led by Alberto Sgarbi. Treviso, who

got the first victory of the season at the expense of the Blues and they

have just one since then. Alberto De Marchi is the one uncapped member of

the front row. Filo Paulo is in the second row. New Zealander Dean Budd

is at number eight. Behind the scrum, Tommaso Iannone is at

midfield. Jayden Hayward is the third highest points scorer in the

Pro12 at the moment. Tom Palmer is an experienced English

man. Speaking of experience, there is none more so in Welsh colours

than the man who leads the Blues onto the field this evening, Gethin

Jenkins. They may be down towards the foot of the table but recent

results mean that elusive sixth spot and the possible place in Europe

next season is still up for grabs as we really do reach the business end

of the season. Returning internationals for the

Blues including Gethin Jenkins, who is back as skipper. The other prop

was very impressive for the under 20. Sam Warburton only has two

outings for the Blues. Gareth Anscombe is at ten, seeing Rhys

Patchell at 15. Scott Andrews, only one game for

him. Some impressive youngsters. Andrew Brace, Cardiff born but

Irish. He is the man in charge this evening. It has been a gorgeous day

in the capital city with conditions absolutely perfect for running rugby

and that is exactly what the Blues want to achieve. The first receipt

for them. Dan Fish is on the wing this evening.

Lloyd Williams is looking for the forwards to carry initially and the

very first penalty comes within half a minute.

Marco Lazzaroni not rolling away. Interesting to see Gareth Anscombe

starting in the number ten shirt. Rhys Patchell going to the Scarlets

next year, of course. The incumbent is the one getting in time. Can be

very effective joining the line for the Blues. They will be looking for

that this evening. Good evening. The Blues are full of

confidence. A great win against Munster. An attacking outfit put

together by Wilson tonight. They didn't get the line-out. An

unexpected source of possession and a chance to attack for Treviso but

not too interested in attacking. Alberto Sgarbi happy to get them

downfield. It was a good steal. That is

something you have to do right. We saw the Scarlets starting so well

against Treviso with a couple of tries in the first 20 minutes.

Something the Blues have got to do well, strong in the set piece.

You have got to win your first phase possession. They have cut the line

after losing the first one. Sam Warburton Bailey had to get off his

feet to win it. -- barely. Lloyd Williams giving Tom James and only

chase. -- and only chase. It is taken by Angelo Esposito. The same

offence for the Blues. The key taken by Chris Smylie. Who has come from

New Zealand to play his rugby in Italy. Filo Paulo, the scrum-half.

The crowd thought there was something and toward going on but in

fact, Ferrari has just stayed down after a big hit on him. Very upright

running into it. Down to Dillon Lewis. We have seen his ball

carrying capabilities with the Under 20s. With Dian Dacey, the link. Rhys

Patchell on the outside. A solid tackle.

That is the kind of thing the Blues wanted, was to give forwards the

right channels. Interesting from Treviso. You would

normally expect them to kick for the corner. A quick tap penalty and they

are away. Scrappy game from the Blues in the line-out. They were

lucky to win it when it went over the top when Sam Warburton wasn't

expecting it and then a silly penalty given away, so... Difficult

against Treviso, you go in with the expectation is that you are going to

run them off the park and they can be a stubborn outfit. You need to do

your basics right. Do your little jobs, the jobs that nobody else

sees. Is that Jiffy in the rabbit outfit?

Not now. Not now, that's what he's saying! Simone Ferrari is the one

you saw in the tackle earlier. He ran straight into Josh Navidi and

paid the price. The replacement is Filippo Filippetto. Very upright

running, running straight into him. Luca Bigi, his fifth start in a row.

Just distorting the communications out. -- sorting the communications

out. Tom Palmer safely delivers.

a comeback that would have been full Sam Warburton!

I think he would run back and back again and keep the ball in hand.

Brilliant off-load from Josh Turnbull. A good carry from Josh

Turnbull and the off-load as well. This is where Sam has to be patient.

He goes for the Hollywood chip and chase. Good cover.

There's no point. I just think Sam could have backed himself and

stepped outside. Took the chase instead.

A different Cardiff Blues. This is something they have improved so much

this year. A good kick from Lloyd Williams.

He tried to take it one-handed. A lovely little grubber kick from

Lloyd Williams. Beautiful kick. Lloyd Williams timed

it brilliantly. So often you see scrum-half take the ball and at a

stop but it is difficult to attack from there. A brilliant weapon.

Perfectly measured kick. Dan Fish couldn't take it but a very positive

start from the Blues. Six inches up and it would have been

into the basket for Dan Fish. Dillon Lewis was outstanding for Wales in

the Under 20s. He was very close to getting the

man-of-the-match. This will be another step up. Yes,

it is up against Treviso, but... He is up against Alberto De Marchi,

who has 29 caps for Italy. Interesting that Sam Warburton is

packing down on the blindside. Jenkins is on the left-hand side,

the open side. The suggestion they played left and right defensively

tonight. He took that kick to the head at

Twickenham. A great scrum from the Blues. And

they have turned it. Lloyd Williams waiting. Good control from Navidi

and it wins the penalty. It is a very impressive loose scrum.

Lewis has passed his first test with flying colours. A superb scrum.

They are going for the line. I think I would have taken the scrum

there. The referee has got it in his mind they are on top. A great leg

drive from Dillon Lewis, Kristian Dacey. That is an area they were

concerned about with the lighter pack but a brilliant technique.

Great take. By Josh Turnbull. Perfect position. Jenkins. All the

way. The first try has come for the Blues. Simple as that for Ellis

Jenkins. Great control all round for the Blues. It showed earlier on with

the driving line-out, it is a weapon. Good patience. Good

technique. I thought they might be in for obstruction. Treviso seemed

to stop it initially, pulling down. Great work, great buy DVD in the

front and then Ellis Jenkins sniffed the line and peeled off. -- great by

DVD. They would be able to do that in the Pro12 next year. It is still

legal at the moment and good work by Jenkins.

So difficult to defend once you are so far back.

Virtually impossible, five metres out. Quite ironic because you pick

these players will be driving line-out and it gives you the first

try. Gareth Anscombe is taking the place

kicks. Rhys Patchell is the league leading point Storer on 169. Gareth

Anscombe with two penalties. He now gets another two points to add to

the season 's tally. A good start from the Blues. A bit

scrappy early on with a couple of line-out but they have found their

feet in the last five minutes. Before they can go for the restart,

Simone Ferrari has been duly patched up and is back on.

speaks for itself. Josh Turnbull is good at getting to the ball but also

Kristian Dacey and Gethin Jenkins as well. Six out of the pack are very

Kristian Dacey and Gethin Jenkins as really game for the Blues this

season. -- has played a league game. The other two back in November.

International duty and a couple of injuries. He played a lot last

season for the Blues, more rugby then he played in all his career

last year. People want to be at the forefront. Take the pressure off

until the ball is in, otherwise you force me to make another decision

now. In the last scrum, with Mr Ferrari

back on. The scrum seemed a lot more solid for Treviso. Two good scrums

from each team. I think it is the touch judge this

site who called it. I think it was the arm. Three on the arm.

On the blindside for the referee. We arm was held out by the other match

officials. Lewis has just turned 20 and Simone Ferrari is just three

days short of his birthday. Two young tight head.

And old loose heads. Nice contrast. I am sure he is an Warren Gatland's

radar. Amazing when you think Rob Evans and

Samson Lee are both only 23 as well. A good strike by Jayden Hayward.

Treviso have their first points of the evening. Jayden Hayward is a

good player and every time we watch Treviso play, he is the standout

player. He is a good kick at goal as well. The Blues will have to keep

their discipline. They will be happy with how they started. They will

open up play later on. Sam Davies and the gunman have

scored more points than Jayden Hayward in the league this year.

Alberto Sgarbi and then Luca Marco Barbini with the juggle.

He has just kept possession. It was good work initially from Josh

Turnbull, involved in the work and kicking loose. I think it is Josh

Turnbull and Gethin Jenkins following up with the penalty in the

contact area. A nice low tackle by Ellis Jenkins. Gethin Jenkins get

over. So difficult in that position. A frustrated seven the whole of his

life but he didn't quite have the body shape, and fortunately for

Gethin Jenkins, so he has ended up in the front row.

Gareth Anscombe wastes no time in cancelling out Jayden Hayward's

penalty and the Blues 7-point advantage is restored.

Always a little bit of extra pressure on you as well, if you have

got to kick us in your team. Rhys Patchell will want to kick the goal

kicks so it would have been an interesting conversation this week

but so far it has been good. Again, Dan Fish is the one who is

there to receive. Dan Fish has played all 17 games, 18

today. Lovely out the back door by Alberto Sgarbi. Over the top. It

didn't quite Ludovico Nitoglia. We have seen some good handling skills

from both teams early on. Ludovico Nitoglia to Dean Budd.

Outside him. Taking an Josh Navidi. Chris Smylie. A great off-load to

Sam Christie. A long, floating past that wasn't taken.

They do possess a threat. Jayden Hayward again, on the outside of

Gethin Jenkins. Just that final pass, they can't get

support runners there. Jayden Hayward has picked Gethin Jenkins

and gone on the outside. A good support runner. Good scramble

defence from the Blues but they do have some dangerous runners. You

can't take your eyes off that man. Three New Zealand born players in

the back. Halfbacks as well. Dean Budd upfront. Filo Paulo is born in

New Zealand. They are not having it all their own

way at the scrum anymore, the Blues. It passed by Rhys Patchell. Dan Fish

is dragged down. An excellent cover tackle by Ludovico Nitoglia.

A big advantage in the Blues. You can either choose to kick the ball.

He thought he would give this to Dan Fish in the outside. And Ludovico

Nitoglia is really quick and a great cover tackle.

Dan Fish has had another good season. Four tries.

Ball in hand he is a real threat. Probably needs to work on his game

defensively. They do see him as a winger rather than a full-back.

Sloppy loan out from Treviso. -- line-out. I think they have lifted

the man into the line-up, which exaggerates the throne not being

straight. An interesting call from Gethin Jenkins, going for the

line-out rather than the scrum. It might indicate they are under

pressure. Ferrari is back on. Well is executed -- well executed by

Josh Turnbull. Dean Budd. Victoria waits, Chris Smylie just

gives him an extra bit of shielding before Dan Fish can arrive.

Ferrarini. He wanted to chase but it is too

long, straight or Gareth Anscombe. Now to Rhys Patchell. Tries to go

outside his man. This could be an overlap here. Rey Lee-Lo. Garyn

Smith on his outside. Looking to see if he could get the pass back in but

eventually forced out of play. Again, they work the numbers. They

have a few times, when they go wide, Treviso are struggling. Goodspeed by

Garyn Smith but nobody on the inside and good scramble defence. If the

Blues are patient and go through the phases and keep the ball, Treviso,

like most Italian sides, do lose their shape in defence.

The Blues will look to attack the scrum. Treviso with the put-in.

Hayward has stepped in at ten. Maybe Chris Smylie will want to get rid of

this one himself. He needs to get a grip of this very quickly. There

have been a few taking too much time to set. I still think we should stop

the clock while they are in setting and restarting when the ball comes

out. You are not in a great rush to get home tonight!

Dean Budd, that was forward to Barbini. That was definitely

forward, wasn't it? Outside the 22, so Chris Smylie could not go direct

attach. Rhys Patchell looking for space on the far side. Across comes

Hayward. The return kick. It is going to go dead. Hayward would have

been hoping that the artificial pitch would have just held it up. It

is always interesting for visiting teams to come down here and play on

this page and try and get used to the bounce of the ball. Yes, you can

see when it lands, it sticks sometimes, rather than a true

bounce. It went straight up in the air that time. It takes some getting

used to with your new play on these pages a couple of times a year.

Interesting to see that Rhys Patchell is actually doing the drop

out and Gareth Anscombe is taking the kicks at goal. Another decent

return from Treviso. When you have a Munster book of from Rhys Patchell,

it is not really matter. But is a great kick. Munster are in action

tonight, racing off to a lead of two converted tries. Munster are one of

the teams that the Blues are trying to chase down for that sixth place.

They are currently in fifth, just above Glasgow. Glasgow have a game

in hand. It is a little bit flat here at the moment. We need sending

to spark, a little bit of inspiration from somebody on the

park. Treviso are doing their job and frustrating the Blues at the

minute. The Blues decided not to contest that line. Barbini again

taking the flat ball. Dean Budd straight through the middle. Chris

Smylie, to Filo Paulo. Good work by Sam Warburton but he is told to get

off it then. Christine not going for the ball, the defence up so quickly

in midfield. It is patient from Treviso. They are

not making any great inroads into the Blues' defence. The Blues are

getting feet in and slowing it down. Dean Budd, again well met Heidi

Blues defence. And that is Josh Turnbull with the tackle, it has

dislodged the ball. Kristian Dacey, Smith. Rey Lee-Lo was there, ready

and waiting. Lloyd Williams, Gareth Anscombe. A good pass to Josh

Turnbull. He rides the challenge of Dean Budd. Gareth Anscombe.

Clean breaks are very hard to come by at the moment from either side.

Rhys Patchell. It is Jenkins. Did get the early try for the Blues.

Great break by Lloyd Williams. Just what the Blues needed. Tries to get

it to Dan Fish and manages to do so. That is the sparkly team needed.

They are flooding backwards in defence now, Treviso. They know the

danger. Jenkins, Sam Warburton was waiting. It has slow down. They are

back in position. Josh Navidi. Now it is the Blues' turn to be patient.

There is Lloyd Williams who sparked it all without great break. Rhys

Patchell, Gareth Anscombe. And killing the ball. Failing to roll

away. Slowing it down. The Blues will be thinking, chances have been

so few are far between, that is what they could have done it. A brilliant

break with Lloyd Williams with nobody on his shoulder, similar to

Sam Warburton earlier. It was a great pass to Dan Fish, who had to

check. He is so dangerous, Lloyd Williams in these areas. Great pace

but there is nobody within ten or 15 yards. It

Ellis Jenkins again, poaching, he has been brought down this time. He

was brought down by his own man then, from behind. Kristian Dacey.

Round the corner. Driven back. early to make the game a little bit

more settled. We have failed to do that so far. Treviso are really

struggling in the line-out. Gareth Anscombe, to Dillon Lewis. Certainly

looking forward more score before half-time. They are getting close

now. On a few occasions. Tom James has the return ball. Manages to fend

off Esposito. Sam Warburton. Good hit on Rhys Patchell. It was Filo

Paulo. Dan Fish to Smith. James stands up is Manuel. Josh Navidi,

Dillon Lewis. Treviso are having to put in a lot of tackles. It will

take its toll by the end of the game. It is frustrating the Blues at

the moment because they cannot get the second score. Dan Fish. Lloyd

Williams, a little pop-up for Rey Lee-Lo. A different angle causing

problems. Now there are men white again. Surely this time, Sam

Warburton to Josh Navidi. Josh Navidi has just about got there. For

a moment, the Blues thought they may have given up another chance but no,

it is a try for Josh Navidi. Good patience and phases by the Blues.

They were going to run out of numbers eventually, Treviso. A good

carry from Rey Lee-Lo. Good hands and good finish from Josh Navidi.

Whenever he plays at 806, he is a far better player when he plays in

that addition, rather than seven. Not the tallest of players but so

difficult to bring down. Strong, great, low centre of gravity. Very

difficult to stop, good finish. Tom James would not have been happy if

he did not finish, but finish he did. I think it was the right

decision not to give it to Tom James because the covering defenders were

coming across. He has backed himself and he has got over. He knows his

way to the try line. But is the fifth in the league for Josh Navidi

this season. Excellent strike from Gareth

Anscombe. Converging from wide out. Does not cause any problems at all

for him. -- conversion. Just six and a half minutes of the first half

remaining. If you are honest, this scoreline slightly flatters the

Blues. Treviso made a good fist of things early on but have not managed

to get the points on the board. And still the crowd are fairly

quiet, even though the Blues have their second. Yes, it is a little

bit flat, isn't it? But quickly on Gethin Jenkins. Gareth Anscombe,

trying to dance his way through. Lloyd Williams just falling forwards

around to the blindside. Giving him the protection to get the kick in.

It is missed by Esposito. That is Barbini, the blindside. I

think he has rolled over his ankle. He is in a bit of trouble. They have

got Abraham Steyn to come on. This will be a big call for the big

ball-carrier, if they go over him. It looks as though they may well go

forward the other day marquee. The youngster. They have gone with a 6-

to split. Filo Paulo making his return to the

Arms Park, spent three years here with the Blues. Played in four of

Samoa 's games in the World Cup. He is nowhere near him, he has just

rolled his ankle. Nowhere near him, he has gone to put his foot down and

rolled it. The first try from Ellis Jenkins

after eight minutes. From the driving line-out. And the wet sand

the numbers proving too much in the yen for Josh Navidi. Adding a second

just a couple of minutes ago. There is no way that Barbini is going to

be able to carry on after turning his ankle so badly. The strapping is

not going to allow him to take any further part in this game. De Marchi

takes his place. Rey Lee-Lo, back to Lloyd Williams.

Gareth Anscombe. The Blues try and generate some pace.

It is the first time we have really seen them running onto the ball from

death. It was the right option from Gareth Anscombe. The numbers were

there in defence. He has got that. You could see that a mile off. Great

work by Ellis Jenkins over the ball. They did the line-out correctly but

then not enough support for Dean Budd that is what he is saying, was

on his own, Jenkins was on him in a flash. Josh Navidi flew up with the

hit and Ellis Jenkins straight over the ball. And the right decision. If

they can get three tries in this first, it will set them up for that

bonus point in the second. Back the driving line-out. It is something

that Danny Wilson has turned into a weapon for the Blues this year.

James Down, plenty of line-out options, they are using the maul.

Here comes the drive again. It is good defence from Treviso. Lloyd

Williams trying to rip the ball from Ellis Jenkins. He is caught up now

in the middle of it. It is well defended. I think it was Lazzaroni

and Filo Paulo, they just came through the middle and got a hand on

the ball. Lloyd Williams could not get it away from the driving maul.

Good defence from Treviso. I thought the Blues would get over.

Well, Treviso will be happy to hear that half-time whistle. They have

been under pressure for long periods. They certainly will not

want to concede a third before getting back to the safety of the

changing rooms. Dean Budd has to be careful not to

get isolated again. And lost it again to Ellis Jenkins. But is real

quick thinking from the Blues flanker. It has put them straight

back under pressure. Dan Fish looks were Tom James on the outside. It

bounces back into the hands of Garyn Smith instead. Manage to force them

over the sideline though. And it is an extra bit of defending that

Treviso have forced upon themselves. Brilliant work again from Ellis

Jenkins. Dean Budd off the back of the scrum, makes the tackle. He we

go, they are. -- they are off. Why didn't he play advantage? I am not

quite sure. It was knocked on by green, but...

REFEREE: If he uses that language again, he

leaves the field. I do not need that ran with. It does not matter. OK,

let's go. -- that language. And as we have seen all too clearly

over the last few weeks, microphones pick up everything on the field,

don't they? No comment on that one. Let's move on to the scrum. Last

chance for the Blues as the clock goes red. Quickly taken by Lloyd

Williams. Lovely inside ball by Gareth Anscombe. Tom James. It is

now desperate defence to keep them out before half-time. The Blues are

looking to get a third. The ball has been turned over, has it? Yes, it

has. It has gone forward. Treviso just managed to hold on but the

Blues have half the job done. Four tries as what they want for a bonus

point and with half the game played, they do have two of them in the bag

already. They have been close on a couple of other occasions but I

think they will be fairly satisfied with the first 40. Job half done.

The Blues lead at half-time, 17-3. Gareth Anscombe, you have a lead,

how confident are you that you can't open them up in the second half? We

might have to grind them down. They are spoiling a sad times in the

line-out. We can open up in the second half. Happy with that Eddery

right boot? It is nice to be doing the goal-kicking again. Have a good

orange. The Blues made no secret of the fact they are after a four try

bonus point out and they are half way there. Ellis Jenkins crossing

after just eight minutes on the clock. One of three opensides

playing in the back row for the Blues tonight. Gareth Anscombe

goal-kicking again. He has not missed with the boot to night. The

second try came from a bit of patience and a strong finish from

another of the opensides playing in the back row, Josh Navidi. A quick

look at those stats, Treviso making twice as many tackles as the Blues

just about than they have missed ten of those as well. The Blues are

breaking through the defensive line with a fair amount of regularity but

just the two tries to show for it. But the lion's share of possession,

more carries and more meat made as well. On most of the stats,

Jonathan, the Blues are head. Martyn Williams suggesting the scoreline is

flattering them a little bit at the moment but they are comfortable. I

think they are dominant, as the stats has shown. You have to give

Treviso some credit. They were very abrasive in defence and got stuck in

but I think as the half has gone on, the Blues' attacking shape has

improved and they have dominated possession and started to look

really strong. You would expect them to cut open in the second half. You

mentioned their attacking shape. They do seem when they have the ball

in hand the more likely of the two sites score. We mentioned it at the

start of the show, the intent to the pack that they have picked. They

want to play. Sometimes, I think they are forcing it a bit too much.

Sometimes you need to engage and be direct. Keep the defence honest. But

I think they are the sort of thing is that Danny Wilson will be

speaking about that half-time. They are forcing things a little bit and

as Jonathan mentioned, they have scored two tries but another few

have gone begging. They have. They had some early opportunities.

Treviso are not going away. You have to take those opportunities and join

a Baz 18. The first and was a Sam Warburton break. They have this

shape and they burst through. The backline switch off and wait for the

next phase. That is no good. You have to anticipate that one of your

forwards could make a break. That was a chance gone begging. Nice play

from Lloyd Williams. They take the more infield and it creates a large

blindside. Dan Fish is hanging around behind Lloyd Williams. And

they go for it. Great timing. He is too flat. Great right footed kick

A couple of great derbies coming up tomorrow and talking about the

Ospreys against the Scarlets now because it doesn't get any bigger

when it comes to West Wales fixtures. Both very strong teams

facing off against one another at the Liberty Stadium. The headline

for the Ospreys side is the fact that Sam Davies has retained the

number ten shirt, Dan Biggar will start on the bench. Freeze by --

Rhys Webb is starting. No Alun Wyn Jones. Injured. Let's look at the

Scarlets as well. Gareth Davies will start for them. An intriguing

head-to-head against him and Rhys Webb. Jones, the end 20s fly-half,

will start as well. Rob Evans starts again. Ken Owens in the back. Let's

speak to Martyn Williams in the commentary box. The Scarlets trying

to stay in the top four and the Ospreys desperate to get European

qualification. How do you see it going? It is

always a tasty affair with lots to play for. I think Warren Gatland

touched upon it. Conditions tomorrow will be really important in how the

game is played. Traditionally the Scarlets like to throw the ball

about but I think Sam Davies and Rhys Webb, the Ospreys kicking game

Turnbull for me has done all the hard graft early on, line-out balls,

brilliant carries, big hits, Josh Turnbull for me is the man of the

Patchell. And that is try number eight for the Blues. And that does

take them over 50 points. Brilliant. Treviso not the best of opposition

but they have still got to executed and the Blues have done that.

Exactly. They have tried to do that all night. Great play by Jarrod

Evans. The little show one goal. Some health 40 was gone to pin his

years back. A great ball back inside. Rhys Patchell has looked

dangerous at 15 and a really well worked try from the Blues. Brilliant

There are tougher games ahead for the Blues that began going to them

on the back of two really good wins against Munster and Treviso. And

they are a dangerous, dangerous team at the minute.

point win for the Blues. And they still have their eyes set on that

sixth place. People will say it's only Treviso. But that is the kind

of scoreline you should see, and that even on the beat what is in

front of you. They opened up in the Shetland have and showed some great

skills with ball in hand. And they are on the hunt for that top six.

Six second half tries the the Blues as they eventually run rampant and

score could have been if they had been a little more clinical. We can

upped our game in terms of attacking shape and our ability to cause

problems with the high tempo rugby that we play on this page. They have
