With the autumn series just six days away, Scrum V goes behind the | :00:21. | :00:25.
scenes for an excuse to go into Wales' hard core of porridge | :00:25. | :00:31.
training camp. That was a shock to the players' system. A hell of a | :00:31. | :00:37.
wake-up call. Ice Chambers, quizzes and West a link. Not your usual | :00:37. | :00:44.
training regime. It is my -- it is like nothing I have ever seen | :00:44. | :00:49.
before. Welcome to Scrum V. My guests this evening, Martyn | :00:49. | :00:54.
Williams and Jonathan Davies, will be assessing all the weekend's | :00:54. | :01:00.
action. The Pumas have arrived. We will assess their throats dates arm. | :01:00. | :01:10.
:01:10. | :01:11. | ||
First, the Pro12 and yesterday's With 12 players away with Wales, | :01:11. | :01:18.

Zebre 22. Getting driven off it. It locked at giving Ciaran Murphy the | :02:57. | :03:07.

chance to launch himself into the has been given. Against the run of | :03:43. | :03:53.

one would two and out of ten. At that, R Jim Ord 9 added ten. We did | :04:35. | :04:43.
manage the game much better in the A fairly blunt and honest | :04:43. | :04:47.
assessment. They got out of jail with that Kristian Phillips drug | :04:47. | :04:53.
but at the end of the day, not a great advert for Pro12 rugby. | :04:53. | :05:03.
:05:03. | :05:04. | ||
summed it up. Rubbish again. These deals were Paul. -- a wish again. | :05:04. | :05:14.
:05:14. | :05:16. | ||
The skills were poor. Four points. With conditions as they were, just | :05:16. | :05:21.
happy with the result. Martyn, 12 players missing. That is quite | :05:21. | :05:26.
disruptive in terms of new competition, new players? Yes, it | :05:26. | :05:31.
is always a precarious time of year, with the boys away at the autumn | :05:31. | :05:35.
internationals. Boys of throw in en masse with different combinations, | :05:35. | :05:45.
:05:45. | :05:45. | ||
trying to find their feet. They did not quite clipped yesterday. They | :05:45. | :05:53.
are still second in the league. They will kick it back up in a few | :05:53. | :06:00.
weeks' time. A win at the end are but day. | :06:00. | :06:05.
How do you fancy sitting in ice chamber in just your pants and | :06:05. | :06:09.
socks? That is what the Wales team have been doing all week for their | :06:09. | :06:13.
training ahead of the autumn internationals. They are in Poland | :06:14. | :06:17.
and a cameras went along this weekend to take a peek Kwok they | :06:17. | :06:27.
:06:27. | :06:28. | ||
are getting up to. Whether it is raining in tries all | :06:28. | :06:31.
pulling off the last minute try saying tackles, training is | :06:31. | :06:36.
important. But achieving that level of fitness and success involves | :06:36. | :06:46.
:06:46. | :06:52. | ||
pain. A lot of pain. 6am, some zero temperatures, a typical day's fall | :06:52. | :06:58.
be Wales team in the training camp in my place. This one in with a pot | :06:58. | :07:07.
and is as different as they come. - - in the Madeira in Portland. The | :07:07. | :07:17.
:07:17. | :07:21. | ||
Olympic centre in Athlone will prove anything interesting. | :07:21. | :07:28.
full breakfast. I am just watching back and taking charge here. You | :07:29. | :07:35.
have Adam doing moments gears. It's non-stop all the time. This is just | :07:35. | :07:42.
the first half hour. It is going to be any long though. It's a shock to | :07:42. | :07:46.
the system, the hell of a wake-up call. Distance of achievement | :07:46. | :07:53.
afterwards is great. They print the heart monitors on us and the heart | :07:53. | :08:01.
rates are going through the roof. A necessary evil. It is about | :08:01. | :08:06.
improving personal fitness levels but also proving personal points. | :08:06. | :08:12.
Out on the rugby fields it is a battle for places at the autumn | :08:12. | :08:17.
internationals and it is hotting up. But the spirit within the Welsh | :08:17. | :08:20.
squad in the Polish Lee Camp is quite special, as they all share | :08:20. | :08:26.
the pain bail going through. It is the ability of the players to focus | :08:26. | :08:33.
on themselves. Getting the players up and running. Over the last six | :08:33. | :08:38.
or seven weeks, they have come back here, four regions coming to go as | :08:38. | :08:43.
one and the banter you get from being here 24/7, there is not much | :08:43. | :08:48.
to do here so the team dynamics are so important it is the marginal | :08:48. | :08:54.
gains get from that spot. But what debts are vital percentage points | :08:54. | :09:01.
in terms of ability to perform are the but sessions spent in the | :09:01. | :09:06.
dreaded ice chambers. The players spent them to three-and-a-half | :09:06. | :09:12.
minutes in the tank, with temperatures down to an incredible | :09:12. | :09:18.
minus 160 degrees. How does it actually work? You go into an | :09:18. | :09:23.
extreme temperature. The body of weeks ago. The body wants to | :09:23. | :09:27.
protect the vital organs son the blood brushes from Williams, which | :09:27. | :09:37.
:09:37. | :09:38. | ||
is really good for us because it is the parts that we use. The blood | :09:38. | :09:44.
moves back once we get out. The brush of endorphins, inflammation | :09:44. | :09:51.
gears, it is quite good. And with the Blair suitably dispersed, the | :09:51. | :09:56.
body is ready to take on the really serious stuff. The afternoon | :09:56. | :10:00.
session concentrates on the rugby side of things. Everything is done | :10:00. | :10:10.
:10:10. | :10:19. | ||
at an intensity that replicates the You are like Usain Bolt. Just like | :10:19. | :10:29.
:10:29. | :10:29. | ||
that, easy. It's it's something to do for those who cannot take start | :10:30. | :10:36.
part in training. They have to work arm back for the whole training | :10:36. | :10:40.
session. It is a really hard to keep that going for the three- | :10:40. | :10:45.
quarters of an hour. Or maybe not quite because to end what has been | :10:45. | :10:50.
a tough session, there is a repeated sprint session with | :10:50. | :10:54.
players competing not just against the clock but against other players | :10:54. | :11:00.
in the same position as than. benefits we get from it all is it | :11:00. | :11:08.
does come on the field and it does show we keep going. We have made | :11:08. | :11:12.
our bed and we have to lie in it now. I think we will be coming to | :11:12. | :11:18.
Poland a lot more in the next few years. And bear it will make | :11:18. | :11:23.
equally good use of excellent facilities in Spala. The rest of | :11:24. | :11:31.
the afternoon is spent indoors to trust strength and stamina. Beck is | :11:31. | :11:36.
even a peculiar version of strictly come wrestling. It is meant to be | :11:36. | :11:40.
working in the tackle area. It is like nothing I have ever seen | :11:40. | :11:47.
before. And after working up a real sweat, there is always a very | :11:47. | :11:57.
:11:57. | :11:59. | ||
special way to call off. -- cool off. With some counting down the | :11:59. | :12:04.
number of freezing sessions to go, there are others who cannot wait to | :12:04. | :12:08.
get back in. They have worked incredibly hard, and if there is | :12:08. | :12:12.
any reward for effort they will get their wings in the autumn | :12:12. | :12:20.
I do not really fancy that. It is plain to see from that how it | :12:21. | :12:25.
intends it he's but what intrigues me is, what on earth do you get a | :12:25. | :12:32.
two in the evenings? Not a lot. I spent three weeks at the last year. | :12:32. | :12:39.
You are in the middle of nowhere. It is at a few concerts and. You | :12:39. | :12:45.
have lovely food and hotel rooms normally but Spala is going back to | :12:45. | :12:50.
the Eastern bloc. There is not a lot to do on the nights. They are | :12:50. | :12:56.
tired to do anything. It helps the boys have come together and bond | :12:56. | :13:00.
and it has certainly worked in the last 12 months. It has been evident. | :13:00. | :13:05.
Looking ahead to the autumn. Argentina First and the team has | :13:05. | :13:10.
been announced -- will be announced on Tuesday at 1pm. A few selection | :13:10. | :13:15.
dilemmas. What are the biggest headaches? I think the main point | :13:15. | :13:20.
is demanding but also it is mental toughness. With four games in the | :13:20. | :13:25.
autumn, it will be a lot of mental toughness. Argentina is a tough | :13:25. | :13:32.
first act. With the games for the World Cup to be announced in | :13:32. | :13:35.
December, there is no chopping and changing. They will have to win as | :13:35. | :13:41.
many games as they possibly can. The first two are may be the | :13:41. | :13:46.
easiest two. Selection is the key. I think we got selection slightly | :13:46. | :13:53.
wrong in Australia. I thought Wild were the best side collectively but | :13:54. | :13:58.
we picked the wrong collection of players. I thought we should have | :13:58. | :14:07.
won did one, not lost 3-0. Now the pressure is on for the autumn. If | :14:07. | :14:12.
you are picking on four, Danny Baker is the form stand-off in | :14:12. | :14:17.
Wales. He has played well for the regions but do they think he is | :14:17. | :14:24.
going to fit into the style of rugby at Wales want to play? Jamie | :14:24. | :14:32.
Roberts and Ashley becks, Sam Warburton. Selection is Deanne. | :14:32. | :14:37.
I think over the last four years, a have been very loyal and they have | :14:37. | :14:43.
a tried and tested way that has proved successful. Ultimately, they | :14:43. | :14:49.
have a game plan and they stick to it and Jamie and some have come up | :14:50. | :14:56.
a lot in the last few weeks. Sam has been named as captain so he has | :14:57. | :15:04.
to start and Jamie is the go to man. When he plays well, Wales play well. | :15:05. | :15:08.
The other boys are playing so well by adopting a lot of pressure on | :15:08. | :15:16.
him. We have been lucky so far because of the boys played well for | :15:16. | :15:21.
Wales and Wales is like a fig region now, but how long can that | :15:21. | :15:26.
contain you? You have to play yourself into form before you play | :15:26. | :15:30.
for Wales. It is difficult to turn up on the back of a training | :15:30. | :15:35.
session and heat a switch and all of us up and perform. You have to | :15:35. | :15:40.
go into some kind of form coming in to the test matches and also, how | :15:40. | :15:48.
many games, have they played four games on the backs? At this | :15:48. | :15:52.
intensity, up for a long, long time. This is going to be a massive | :15:52. | :15:57.
autumn. Argentina have just come off the back. They have Australia | :15:57. | :16:02.
and New Zealand so they are going to be very dangerous. First up. It | :16:02. | :16:06.
is one of the toughest games. Especially as they are talking | :16:06. | :16:10.
about at and George Deanne act. There is a couple of youngsters to | :16:10. | :16:15.
it unless you have a platform against Argentina and Samoa, I | :16:15. | :16:20.
think Paul James has been going exceptionally well and he has to | :16:20. | :16:30.
:16:30. | :16:37. | ||
Back to the Pro 12 and Friday-night games. The track and struggle to | :16:37. | :16:41.
Glasgow, hoping to put his upon the behind them, and we start with the | :16:41. | :16:51.
:16:51. | :16:58. | ||
after last week's horror show in Dublin. The withdrawal of his | :16:58. | :17:08.

way! Again, it is an mist first to tackle that has cost the Blues. -- | :19:24. | :19:34.
:19:34. | :19:34. | ||
a first tackle that was missed. Blues cannot drop their heads. They | :19:34. | :19:44.
:19:44. | :19:44. | ||
are still in this game. And a try has come for the Blues! Payback for | :19:44. | :19:50.
Lewis Jones. It is a game of mistakes this evening. Both teams | :19:50. | :20:00.
:20:00. | :20:05. | ||
it has happened again, the tackle has been missed and it is going to | :20:05. | :20:11.
cost the Blues Dierk again. They cannot believe it. They had come | :20:11. | :20:17.
within three minutes and it looks as though Munster have got out of | :20:17. | :20:25.
jail. Unfortunately, it was against the Blues, and I have fond memories. | :20:25. | :20:29.
But we will have a few beers with the boys now so I am sure they will | :20:29. | :20:39.
:20:39. | :20:41. | ||
forget about it. It was contrasting fortunes on Friday. Gregor | :20:41. | :20:45.
Townsend's men were looking to extend their pro12 winning run to | :20:45. | :20:55.
:20:55. | :20:55. | ||

door and it is Tommy Seymour who polishes it off and a bonus point | :22:07. | :22:17.
:22:17. | :22:35. | ||
Seymour. It is about gaining momentum, that is what rugby is. We | :22:35. | :22:39.
have lost that momentum and we have to turn up for work on Monday and | :22:39. | :22:49.
:22:49. | :22:51. | ||
If you look at the highlights, I feel that if you come up against a | :22:51. | :22:56.
side that is better then you are you have to do the basics | :22:56. | :23:01.
exceptionally well. The three tries for the Blues were missed tackles | :23:01. | :23:06.
and they were in total control in the second half. For the Trident, | :23:06. | :23:11.
last week, three mistakes, but again, it's simple mistakes which | :23:11. | :23:19.
you have to cut out. You have to focus on doing basics well. Let us | :23:19. | :23:24.
talk about the Blues, because they have had a bad week in terms of | :23:24. | :23:29.
recovering from the monster defeat, which was a humiliation. Phil | :23:29. | :23:33.
Davies asked for commitment but they were let down by a few | :23:33. | :23:40.
defensive mistakes. It was a much better performance. You saw a young | :23:40. | :23:45.
side and before the game I thought this could be a long night but in | :23:45. | :23:50.
fairness to the young players, they fronted up. They played really well | :23:50. | :23:55.
in the second half and controlled the game. But we have picked up a | :23:55. | :23:59.
few instances and they would four key moments in the last few minutes | :23:59. | :24:09.
:24:09. | :24:15. | ||
But they've lost it. Here, just a bit of bad luck. They are in | :24:15. | :24:21.
control in defence. It was called a knock-on and monster got a scrum. | :24:21. | :24:27.
From this scrum is where pit it starts to go wrong. The Blues | :24:27. | :24:31.
front-row have had a lot of stick their share but this is one scrum | :24:31. | :24:41.
:24:41. | :24:43. | ||
where they were totally dominant. Fair play to Peter Springer, he | :24:43. | :24:53.
:24:53. | :24:56. | ||
loved the referee into giving it to Munster. Carey misses the tackle. | :24:56. | :25:01.
And then they are penalised a winner what happened from that. | :25:01. | :25:04.
They missed the one on one tackle They missed the one on one tackle | :25:04. | :25:14.
:25:14. | :25:15. | ||
and lose the game. Plenty of positive, though. Dan fish had an | :25:15. | :25:21.
exceptional gain. He helped the kicking game out for them. He reads | :25:21. | :25:26.
the game very well and he has a chance in the next couple of weeks. | :25:26. | :25:31.
We can talk politics now and the regions have been locked in talks | :25:31. | :25:36.
since June about the possible restructuring of the regional game. | :25:36. | :25:43.
Last month, Roger Lewis, the chief executive of the WRU, said he had | :25:43. | :25:46.
offered the regions any system of central contracts which they had | :25:46. | :25:52.
rejected. It is a system that it exists in other rugby countries | :25:52. | :25:56.
throughout the world, and has been used in Ireland since the dawn of | :25:56. | :26:00.
professional rugby. We took a trip across the Irish Sea to see how | :26:00. | :26:05.
they do things there. One of the most pressing concerns facing the | :26:05. | :26:11.
game in Wales is the access of our top stars across the French channel. | :26:11. | :26:17.
It isolates them from the national side, weakens the regions, and we | :26:17. | :26:22.
can speak Pro 12. Recent success in the Test arena has shone a | :26:22. | :26:27.
spotlight on our brightest talent but the battle to security seems | :26:27. | :26:35.
peculiarly a problem for Wales. Why to the likes of Brian O'Driscoll | :26:35. | :26:40.
and Johnny Sexton, all of whom could command huge salaries abroad, | :26:40. | :26:45.
choose to stay here in Ireland? French clubs can get anybody that | :26:45. | :26:50.
they want, really. If they come in for Johnny Sexton, they will be | :26:50. | :26:54.
able to offer him more money than we can pay, that is just the way it | :26:54. | :27:01.
is. What you hope is that your home players want to stay at home, like | :27:01. | :27:06.
staying at home, because it is far easier to live in your native | :27:07. | :27:15.
speaking language than it is in one of the French clubs. Also, I think | :27:15. | :27:20.
he probably will get longer out of your career because of the player | :27:21. | :27:26.
welfare system that is in operation here. I am not saying it is perfect | :27:26. | :27:32.
but it seemed to keep them going longer. The best 20 players in | :27:32. | :27:36.
Ireland are employed directly by the Irish rugby union, who pay | :27:36. | :27:42.
their wages, and also contribute to the salaries of 20 players in the | :27:42. | :27:47.
pan, with the provinces paint the balance. There's also a big tax | :27:47. | :27:53.
incentive for Irish players, who are entitled to a sizable rebate if | :27:53. | :27:59.
they finish the contract in Ireland. In Wales, the regions of the soul | :27:59. | :28:04.
employers. Although they are given money for their times away at | :28:04. | :28:08.
internationals, they have complained of being short changed. | :28:08. | :28:13.
It is hard to argue against it, what has happened in our country. | :28:13. | :28:20.
It suited us, it suits the national team and the provincial team. We | :28:20. | :28:25.
have serious rosewood Union about player release, player availability | :28:25. | :28:31.
and it is a healthy kind of complaint. It there is one man | :28:31. | :28:37.
place to comment on this, it is Mike Ruddock, who has worked at | :28:37. | :28:42.
regional and national level for both Wales and Ireland. He sees | :28:42. | :28:46.
contracting players as just one piece of the jigsaw. If you're | :28:46. | :28:49.
going to start investing in players don't you need to invest in the | :28:49. | :28:56.
whole structure, from top to bottom. In terms of owning the regions, if | :28:56. | :29:04.
you have got the cheque book, you dictate. At the moment, their heart | :29:04. | :29:10.
two different bodies, if you like, trying to work with the same | :29:10. | :29:16.
players. The provinces want the best, and the regions want the best | :29:16. | :29:22.
for Wales, but there are complex at times about one is his best to rest | :29:22. | :29:28.
the player and when to play a player. If it was all under one | :29:28. | :29:33.
umbrella tonight would have thought it would be much more effective. | :29:33. | :29:39.
That would mean the union taking control with the region's becoming | :29:39. | :29:45.
branches of the WRU, as the provinces are in Ireland. But the | :29:45. | :29:51.
provinces have always existed in Ireland, Wales was always club- | :29:51. | :29:54.
based. The regions were created when it was realised there was not | :29:54. | :30:01.
enough money to keep the clubs afloat. But a look at the finances | :30:01. | :30:08.
has revealed, in the words of Roger Lewis, a lot of self-inflicted | :30:08. | :30:17.
wounds. Talks are continuing to try to find a solution but with more | :30:17. | :30:22.
and more players been linked with moves abroad, and the gulf widening | :30:22. | :30:26.
between the regions and the Irish provinces, time is of the essence. | :30:27. | :30:31.
It would seem to me to have reached the stage where they need to thrash | :30:31. | :30:37.
out some sort of deal. If they are talking, I think that is great. If | :30:37. | :30:41.
anybody wants to talk to us about the pros and cons, I'm sure anybody | :30:41. | :30:44.
from the union or from one of the provinces will be more than happy | :30:44. | :30:54.
:30:54. | :30:57. | ||
We understand there has been a bit of tension behind the scenes over | :30:57. | :31:04.
this. Our central contracts a viable solution in Wales? We listen | :31:04. | :31:11.
to the regions and we heard Mike Dawson St they need to thrash a | :31:11. | :31:17.
deal out. He also said they have seen this argument with the editor | :31:17. | :31:21.
of the Union. Why do we have to copy someone? That is the first | :31:21. | :31:28.
thing. Ireland they have got it right regionally, I think, but | :31:28. | :31:33.
Wales, England and France have been better in the Six Nations and in | :31:33. | :31:37.
the World Cup than Ireland. At the moment it is not cost-effective for | :31:37. | :31:41.
the regions to have a lot of international players. I just think | :31:41. | :31:48.
again it is a little bit of common sense and the regions and Louis | :31:48. | :31:52.
need to sit down and thrash out something sensible for Wales. At | :31:52. | :31:57.
the moment, they are like the fifth region and a lot of the players | :31:57. | :32:01.
seem to be playing a lot better for Wales and for the regions. But how | :32:01. | :32:07.
long is that going to continue? Wales needs strong regions because | :32:07. | :32:12.
if you have a strong regions, players are going to want to stay | :32:12. | :32:17.
there and if they are successful, then Wales are going to be | :32:17. | :32:20.
successful. So you are always bickering. Welsh rugby is going to | :32:20. | :32:26.
lose out. Looking at the facts, at the moment 6 million is played to | :32:26. | :32:34.
the regions by the union every year to compensate for the players in | :32:34. | :32:38.
away. As we understand it that money was going to be used for | :32:39. | :32:44.
those settled contracts. So can you understand why the regions have | :32:44. | :32:50.
denied it? Yes, it is a grey area so we do not know the in and outs | :32:50. | :32:57.
of where the money is spent but it is common sense. If the Welsh | :32:57. | :33:03.
regions have more money safe from paying international players, they | :33:04. | :33:11.
can get players in. Look at the history of the Irish players. It | :33:11. | :33:14.
strengthens the whole squad, brings the younger players through and | :33:14. | :33:17.
then you do not have to have the international players. They are not | :33:17. | :33:22.
as important for the regions because the money is used elsewhere. | :33:22. | :33:26.
Again, we always began argue that we have to look at the bigger | :33:26. | :33:32.
picture. It is best for the players, best for the region and best for | :33:32. | :33:39.
Wales that is important. One of the reasons central contracts has been | :33:39. | :33:42.
bandied about is to try to stop this flood of our best players to | :33:42. | :33:46.
France. Do you think having central contracts with do that? If you are | :33:46. | :33:50.
getting offered a three or four times your weight over in France, | :33:50. | :33:59.
it is difficult to turn it down. -- your wage. You will still lose some | :33:59. | :34:01.
players because of different personal circumstances but I think | :34:01. | :34:05.
it would definitely help. It is not as badly as it used to be. Players | :34:05. | :34:12.
are torn between the region or the Union. What the union will do as | :34:12. | :34:17.
well is get all the infrastructure in place. That is why Wales is so | :34:17. | :34:24.
successful. Behind the scenes. Bumping in so much money to help | :34:24. | :34:28.
the players. That is probably one area where the region's really | :34:28. | :34:34.
could benefit. Ireland do it as well. Thank you. We know this will | :34:34. | :34:38.
go on for some time. On to the Premiership and are featured game | :34:38. | :34:48.
:34:48. | :34:54. | ||
this week is planned average versus match losing streak and Jenkins | :34:54. | :34:59.
pounced on a neat grubber kick. The visitors fought back strongly after | :34:59. | :35:09.
:35:09. | :35:09. | ||
being down. Bridgend held off Aberavon for back-to-back victories. | :35:09. | :35:15.
The home side claimed his boils. The atrocious weather conditions | :35:15. | :35:21.
play their part in this low-scoring affair. This try by Harris, his | :35:21. | :35:31.
fourth in two days, was the only one of the match. Newport have | :35:31. | :35:34.
enjoyed a revival recently while Swansea continued to struggle at | :35:35. | :35:43.
the foot of the tables. Adam France and eventually forced his way over | :35:43. | :35:53.
:35:53. | :35:55. | ||
for just before half time. After the break, Swansea scored two quick | :35:55. | :35:58.
fire tries to give them some hope. Rhys Williams touching down here | :35:58. | :36:01.
but the home side came back strongly to claim a bonus point | :36:01. | :36:11.
:36:11. | :36:19. | ||
against their class. It has not been a bad one for the drovers, | :36:19. | :36:26.
still unbeaten at the top of the table. With the rain bouncing down, | :36:26. | :36:31.
there was this penalty by Rhys Jones, son of former Wales captain | :36:31. | :36:38.
recently. The game then developed into a real slugfest, with much | :36:38. | :36:48.
:36:48. | :36:56. | ||
more slug manifest. PoW made it 3-3 the Rovers' player almost | :36:56. | :37:02.
capitalising on a defensive move. Judge for yourself again on the | :37:02. | :37:11.
replay. After that, the second half was a mirror image of the first but | :37:11. | :37:20.
a little bit wetter and a little bit worse. Powell showed why he was | :37:20. | :37:25.
the season's Premiership scorer. That was that as far as the scoring | :37:25. | :37:29.
went but medals all round for the players and two reasonably | :37:29. | :37:38.
It was two very committed sides out there today. Conditions had an | :37:38. | :37:43.
effect on how the game was play but ultimately the defences from all | :37:43. | :37:48.
sides were tight. We are ten games into the season and we have not | :37:48. | :37:53.
lost yet. We are pleased we have maintained our unbeaten record. We | :37:53. | :37:59.
would have liked to have won that we cannot complain about where we | :37:59. | :38:07.
are at the moment. With an Laulala and Pontypridd not playing, Bedwas | :38:07. | :38:17.

And can get relations to this month's principality player of the | :38:22. | :38:27.
month, openside flanker Sean miles. The 24-year-old has been crucial in | :38:27. | :38:31.
the drovers' rise to the top of this season after a summer pre- | :38:31. | :38:36.
season with the Scarlets. He lists his most admired player as Martyn | :38:36. | :38:40.

afternoon against European work depleted by international | :38:52. | :39:01.
call-outs. The Ospreys and Leinster supplied ten players each to Wales | :39:01. | :39:11.
:39:11. | :39:28. | ||
confident that the try has been scored. Bishop could not have that | :39:28. | :39:34.

score that secures victory for the Let's round up the weekend's other | :40:51. | :41:01.

start to the season with their win over Edinburgh. Ulster remain on | :41:05. | :41:12.
top with a game in hand. Scarlets stay in second. The Ospreys are now | :41:12. | :41:19.
fifth after that victory over Leinster on. The Dragons are still | :41:19. | :41:29.
struggling in the basement with A fantastic game for the Ospreys | :41:29. | :41:37.
this afternoon. Yes, a tough game. Eli Walker had a great try. A bit | :41:37. | :41:40.
of game management by Matthew Morgan dropping the goal and | :41:40. | :41:44.
killing the game. Early-season woes when they lost their first free now | :41:44. | :41:49.
far behind them. Yes. What is key to end his they still have the | :41:49. | :41:53.
likes of Duncan Jones, Jonathan Thomas around to bring the | :41:53. | :41:56.
youngsters through. That is probably the difference between | :41:56. | :42:00.
them winning today's game and losing. Six days until the autumn | :42:00. | :42:04.
internationals begin. We have talked briefly against opponents | :42:04. | :42:08.
Argentina but we have the likes of New Zealand and somehow afterwards. | :42:08. | :42:14.
What would be a good game for Wales this autumn? They have to look for | :42:14. | :42:21.
three wins. Australia, Samoa and Argentina. New Zealand head and | :42:21. | :42:24.
shoulders above everyone else at the moment but by then, injuries | :42:24. | :42:32.
and form will have worked themselves out. But I think again | :42:32. | :42:36.
we are at the level where we have to play well, I think. If we play | :42:36. | :42:41.
well we will win three from a four. If we do not play well we will not | :42:41. | :42:51.
:42:51. | :42:52. | ||
have a platform. Martyn? Yes, the first two are all about... We were | :42:52. | :42:58.
slow starters in the autumn. It's about getting those first two rings. | :42:58. | :43:02.
We have from New Zealand close a few times at home. I think this | :43:02. | :43:06.
side will be looking now to win at least three out of the four. Next | :43:06. | :43:11.
week is based huge game against Argentina. We have run out of time. | :43:11. | :43:15. |
