Good afternoon. Welcome once again to the results show. No fake news,

not even fake tan is on this show. Does the genuine article, analysis

and maybe a bit wake up that make up. Joining me is Stuart Cosgrove

football, keeping a clean sheet, but Kris Doolan with a double gives

Kilmarnock could overhaul them. They have tough matches. It's a big win

for Alan Archibald and company. Excellent victory and very important

after a poor start to the season Thistle had. Now they are in the top

six. Playing well. It hasn't been pretty today, but 2-0, a victory is

excellent. The goal-scorer Kris Doolan, every season he scores

double figures. He has proved to be the difference between the sides

again today. The problem has been converting chances they create. We

see them every week. I think they have a fairly fluid midfield and

they create chances. They should be converting more than they are.

That's a spine to the season they are putting together now. They are

looking forward now, they go top six, and I feel they are the team

that will end up in the top six. Full-time at Dingwall, the match

between Ross County and St Johnstone. Did the Chris Kane late

goal proved to be the difference between the sides? It did. Chris

Kane, as you say, he came off the bench and is their hero. Winning a

brilliant finish inside the box. Last minute, a real dagger to Ross

Johnstone? Stuart could talk about them for hours, but it's another

impressive season. It's excellent. It's almost a given for them.

Exactly. They play the system so well and they have players who fit

into it so well. Really efficient, goal-scorers, solid out the back.

They don't push full-backs forward to much. They have good, capable

players. Good points in a difficult place. The big man gambolling about

looking to make sure his passport is up to place. Where is Armenia? That

would be a dream for any St Johnstone fan, for us to return to

Europe. But there is so much more to play yet. If we stay top six, and

it's starting to look like we might... Could that be the victory

that shows us? We are in such a position now where a team or two

teams needs to go almost unbeaten towards the break. That could be

Kilmarnock or Dundee, but in order to stay unbeaten, they have to go to

places like Celtic and Pittodrie and win, and that seems a highly

unlikely scenario from where we are now. I'm not going to count my

chickens by any means, but it's a great victory for us to go top six.

the one hand today. Fairly simple, finishing 1-1. New Raith Rovers boss

John Hughes on the pitch applauding his players and shaking everybody's

hand. A very good performance by Raith Rovers today, they dominated

proceedings in the first half without creating too many chances. A

were not at their best, safe to say, but Jason Cummings came close on one

who had no chance. Hibs responded well. Although the goal came from a

free kick. Jason Cummings, the top scorer, with a wonderful left footed

free kick around the wall and into the top corner. A couple of half

chances after that. Brian Graham adds Jason Cummings came close.

Declan McManus had an effort late on for Raith Rovers that was punched

away. Just one point for the Championship leaders, but a

predictable three points against for the Premiership leaders Celtic, who

have won at home to Motherwell. 2-0 to the home side. Domestic

have won at home to Motherwell. 2-0 number 31 unbeaten since the start

of the season. By Celtic's high standards, this wasn't a classic.

Motherwell set up to frustrate, which they did for half now. They

gifted the champions the lead. Dembele brought down in a box and he

made it 1-0. A cracking solo goal before the break from James Forrest.

The game petered out in the second half. Three points for Celtic and

you have to call them, the unstoppables, they are not forced up

performance from Richie Foran's side. Tremarco, the left-back,

completely free to head the ball into the net for the first goal. His

home side ahead with his head. His tenth goal of the season heading in

Ross Forbes' free kick. James Craigen scored from 22 yards for the

equaliser. High into the net. After the break Falkirk went in front

Stanton got his second with 15 minutes to go. United not clear

their lines properly from a free kick with Stanton taking advantage

and producing a calm, side foot finish from 16 yards. Unbelievable

finish. Ayr United got what looked like a consolation in time added on.

Substitute Michael Rose firing in a free kick from 20 yards giving the

keeper no chance. A last-ditch attack resulted in Jamie Adams being

brought down in the box. Substitute Craig Muir slotted away to give Ayr

United an unlikely equaliser. Fancy another cup shock, gents? We have

eight points clear of St Mirren in the automatic relegation spot. It

distractions, if you see the big thing as survival. Cup games are

great for fans, but I think the club, more generally, would take

survival. If Dumbarton had won that, I would say they could be your team

of the day in Off The Ball because they would ensure they avoided the

automatic relegation spot but it's they would ensure they avoided the

not so sure yet. Not so sure. There's a lot to play yet. Would you

put a bet on St Mirren doing a great Houdini trick? I don't bet! Time for

In League 1, Livingston are 12 points clear at the top. Nip and

tuck between Stranraer and Stenhousemuir. They both picked up a

point today. Forfar Athletic well ahead at the top. At the bottom,

Cowdenbeath are adrift of Edinburgh city. No Premier League matches

today. Brighton Hove Albion still at the top. Newcastle play Aston

Villa later. At the foot of the table, another big defeat for

Rotherham United. They are 12 behind Blackburn Rovers. Blackburn Rovers

play Manchester United later in the FA Cup. Wigan another team in the

bottom three. We can hear from the St

manager after their 2-1 win at Ross County. A similar type of

performance we had last time when we started really well and dominated

the ball. Hit the post. Maybe a fortunate goal, it might be an own

goal. The first half, they had a couple of shots but we did not feel

under pressure. The final ball just let us down. An incredible save.

Another good move when they hit the bar. Probably should have had a

penalty. To lose a goal the way we did, it was good play. They failed

to put it away well. I was disappointed for the players. They

showed great character. I thought it was a cracking game. I do think we

deserved it with the number of chances we created. As a manager, is

that anything sweeter than a stoppage time winner? No. Absolutely

fantastic. Especially 1-0. No, it is always sweet when you win but that

late, everyone is probably settle for a draw. OK, take a point and

then you get that. A late bonus. Most welcome. Before we went on air,

is said a point would be a great yield from today. I thought so. It

is a cliche to say going up to Dingwall is not easy. St Johnstone

have done a cake over the seasons but realistically I thought a 1-1

draw was a likely outcome. The last-minute goal has given St

Johnstone all three points foot of it was a great goal. It was a game

that they would be proud to win any game that goal. Well done to him. He

is a young guy doing well. St Johnstone deserved it. On merit they

did. They started so well the match and hit the post early on. You
