Yes, good afternoon and welcome to the show. Today a mega- mix of

League Cup semifinal, Premiership, championship, scores, reports,

results and much more. Motherwell striker Scott McDonald, mixer pat

alignment and author, broadcaster and sometimes DJ Stuart Constable

all here to add to the vibe. Welcome, gents, let's start with

some scores and one very important result. Here it is, it indeed that

Fred cup semifinals, 0- two Aberdeen. Rangers play Celtic

tomorrow. Extra appearance from me, in there.

Let's look at the Scottish Premiership latest. Cali Thistle 1-0

down at Kilmarnock. In the championship it is goalless between

Ayr United and Queen of the South. Dunfermline athletic are one goal up

on his journey and, in Falkirk are trailing Raith Rovers 2-1.

Let's get to today's semifinal at Hampden in the League Cup. It was

Morton from the championship against Aberdeen from the Premiership. Our

Morton from the championship against reporter Rob Maclean was there with

a couple of notables, one from either side. Don't be fooled by the

scoreline because this was anything but comfortable for Aberdeen, who do

take their place in the League Cup final on November 27 bank here at

Hampden Park. They dominated from the start, Morton struggle to defend

corner kicks. Jonny Hay is produced a safe, another header back off the

crossbar. Aberdeen let their superior taste live, and Morton

might have upset the odds, they had a chance after a mistake by Mark

Reynolds -- Aberdeen let their superiority slide. Down at the other

end, another header against the crossbar, Adam Rooney. Aberdeen were

getting sloppy into the second half and may be the most difficult spell

of the match ended with Aberdeen scoring, Adam Rooney with his eighth

goal of the campaign. And when Kenny MacLean scored late on that was the

icing on the cake for the Dons who will play Rangers or Celtic in the

final. Alongside me a couple of legends watching their old teams in

action this afternoon. Aberdeen's Willie Miller, what did you make of

your old site this afternoon? I do not think it was one of their better

performances, but the job has been done, they are into a cup final.

When you play semifinals that's the most important thing. Although they

started the game extremely well, I thought we would blow Morton away in

the first 15 minutes, but didn't get a goal. Morton gradually got into

the game, and I think they go away from this tie with a lot of credit.

Fantastic performance from them. Second half I thought they actually

dominated for spells. Right up until Adam Rooney, that predator, got his

head on the end of an Andrew concert I'm header across goal. From then

there was only going to be one winner. I think Derek McInnes will

be more than delighted to be in the cup final. He'll know it was not one

of their finest performances. Andy Ritchie is automating. Will your

team be feeling sore against the goal? -- a Morton legend. Was there

a hint of offside? It may very well have been offside, but I don't think

they will go away with any great regrets. They did very well

throughout the game, played very well. They had a plan and stuck to

that plan. They gave Aberdeen problems. Congratulations to

Aberdeen, being in the final. I think Morton were beaten today, but

not compare him to be beaten and that's what quite a lot of people

thought might happen at the start of the game. Fair play, they did well.

They looked as though they were going to go and win the game at

certain times but they just didn't have the power. A lot of plaudits

will be heading Morton's away, but Aberdeen get the job done and they

will be playing Rangers or Celtic back here at Hampden Park on

November the 27th. STUDIO: They may regret that the referee did not spot

offside, the first goal, Rooney? It was definitely offside, it was

questionable at the time. Probably a tough call for the linesman but in

big games you want those decisions to be right. In the end they will

brew their chance, they had a fantastic chance first half -- they

will rue. From then on in the game sort of changed. And once Aberdeen

got that goal you just found it was only sort of going to be one winner

from them because the gaps started to appear. Mixu, on the balance of

play, Aberdeen deserved it, do you agree? They had more quality, the

individual players, and also collectively. The way they started

the match, they were on fire, really putting Morton under pressure, but I

must also give credit to Morton. Jim Duffy organised the team and they

were positive, with pace. Difficult to play against because they can hit

you on the break. So I think Aberdeen are relieved. In the end

obviously you need to put the ball in the net and Aberdeen did that and

they had that extra quality. Aberdeen were relieved, and at the

end of the day nobody cares how you get through to the final as long as

you get there? Absolutely right. Seeing this from the perspective of

Morton fans, if you were a young Seeing this from the perspective of

teenager in the great days of Andy Ritchie, you are now something like

63 years old. I think for Morton fans, they'll not just want this

idea of they turned up and did well, didn't get humiliated, patted on the

head. They wanted to win this game and I think they thought when the

draw came out they had a chance to beat Aberdeen in a one-off 90

minutes. It didn't work for them. Once-in-a-lifetime? I think a lot of

Morton fans will be disappointed they did not take their chance.

Let's take a bounce around the ground, two matches in the

Premiership, we'll start with one of them in the Highlands, Inverness at

home to Kilmarnock. Our man at the match is Martin Dowden. Good

afternoon. Kilmarnock a leading 1-0. Coulibaly's penalty the difference

after he was barged in the box. Inverness not at their best, but had

chances with Pansy going close. Kilmarnock in control and as things

stand in the top six tonight. And other Highland team are in Glasgow

to face Partick Thistle. And a penalty is also the difference

between the sides here. Partick Thistle have the one goal advantage.

Ryan Dell adjudged to have fouled Chris Doolin inside the box, and up

stepped Welsh to convert the penalty. Partick Thistle have been

dominant, Ross County have been poor, they are on a run of six games

without a win, four without a goal. Partick Thistle looking to end a run

of eight games without a win and at the moment are on course to do so.

Let's have a wee survey of the championship now. Four matches

there, and we can start with Hibs away to Dunfermline. Similar tale, a

penalty separates the sides here, on 21 minutes, and it certainly will

not have improved Neil Lennon's opinion of Scottish referees. And

you're pointing to the spot for a push on Ashcroft in the penalty box.

Higginbotham and sending the goalkeeper the wrong way from the

spot. Hibs looking to spark things in terms of goal-scoring, they have

left Jason Cummins on the bench. Andrew shinny coming in for him. But

only free kicks have opposed any sort of problem for the Dunfermline

defence and Hibs find themselves trailing 1-0 early in the second

half. Let's hear from Conor, watching Ayr United against Queen of

the South. A goal is the difference between the sides here at Somerset

Park. The first half could only be described as a snooze-fest. Only two

shots on goal. But things are looking up, especially if you are a

Ayr van. Falkirk were the in form team going in the champions, let's

see how they are faring. Nine minutes into the second half, they

are trailing 2-1 to Raith Rovers who made an explosive start, Ian

Davidson giving them the lead after 17 minutes. John Baird took

advantage of a defensive blunder to level things up. Mark Stuart, the

one-time full Koke Row, scored a second goal for Raith Rovers on 37

minutes with a fine header. Another championship match involves

Dundee United and Dumbarton, Paul Mitchell is watching this one.

Indeed it is 0-0 but it's been a decent 0-0. Four excellent saves,

two from either goalkeeper brought this came to light. Dundee United

wearing vivid pink in support of the breast Cancer awareness charity,

certainly looking bright enough. Dumbarton have played really well.

No goals there, not many goals around the country to be fair.

Gents, we are watching pictures coming in from the two Premiership

matches, 1-0 in both, and penalties. What about the Kilmarnock one?

Stonewall penalty. He just barges into Coulibaly, and there was no

argument. In the end Coulibaly stuck it away. I think the keeper will

feel he possibly should have saved it, but it is 1-0. We will return to

the chat shortly, there has been a goal at Tannadice Park. Looks like

an own goal from a corner swung in from the side. Gregor Buchanan beat

his goalkeeper beautifully, it has to be said, but I don't think Alan

Martin will see the funny side of it. Dundee United make the

breakthrough and lead 1-0. As soon as I say goals are thin on the

ground, they start to trickle in. Mixu, Partick Thistle up against

Ross County, another penalty, any doubt about that? It was a clear

middle. Good strike. The first half was mainly Partick Thistle

dominating. It is quite amazing that Ross County, who played so well last

season, they hadn't scored, they score a goal now, Jim McIntyre must

be scratching his head about getting back into this game. They haven't

created in this match yet. Obviously you need that one chance to get back

into the game. And go from there. So far it has been Partick Thistle

dominating. Let's talk about the championship. A league you for

famously called as hard to get out of as Alcatraz. It looks like Hibs

were coasting to the title, now it is one from four. Now Alan Stubbs is

looking for his own job back, isn't he? It's a fascinating league. Of

course all the money and resources tends to be poured into the

Premiership in Scotland. But this is a leap that I think has always got

little twist and turns going to it. The team you rule out near the top

is often the one that starts to harm people, Raith Rovers four example

are a team that can hurt you. Falkirk. There are always teams

around there that make the favourites look like they are

wearing welly boots. Currently Hibs are not looking like a team that are

going to coast this league by any means. Sounds like a case of self

harm for Falkirk at the moment, news from this match? The Falkirk manager

has just been sent to the stands. An interesting moment in the 55th

minute because Kyle Benedictus seemed to take out Craig. The

referee pulled the game back and looked Benedictus for the

infringement. He went over to have a word with Gary Lockerbie Raith

Roeder 's manager, I think he was protesting the yellow card. In any

case while they were in conversation, the other manager went

over and put his tuppence worth in. And as he walked away, he had

another word with him, and Barry could just turned round and sent

Peter Huston to the stands for some words that may have been spoken in

the direction of the referee. So it is 2-1 as far as the score is

concerned, to Raith Rovers. Time for some brief respite from Scottish

football and we will turn our attention to the lunchtime match in

the English Premier League. Bournemouth, fresh from a thrashing

of Hull last weekend, at home to the only unbeaten side in the league,

Tottenham Hotspur. 0-0 but that does not even begin to tell the tale of

what was a hugely entertaining game right from the off in the very early

moments, Charlie Daniels for Bournemouth put a great save from

Hugo Lloris. The Boruc showed up and hit the crossbar. Not much later

Erik Lamela hit the ball from far at the other end with a curling drive.

Erik Lamela got a yellow card, might well have had a second. Tottenham

substitute Moussa Sissoko certainly should have had a red card for what

was clearly an elbow into the face of Harry Arter late in the game. I

suspect he will retrospectively get a ban. In the end it had everything

except a goal. And Spurs remain unbeaten, do you fancy them for the

title? I think they are one of a couple, really. It's interesting, if

they had won today they would have gone top of the league, first time

in over a year. Wasn't to be. I still call it Dean Court down at

Bournemouth, I had a little spell there as a youngster. Difficult

place to go and I don't think they'll be the first to drop points,

there. What do you think of their chance this season, Mixu? I think

they will be there or thereabouts. Harry Kane has been a big loss for

them recently but they have managed well. I'm surprised it finished 0-0,

with two attacking sides that pass the ball well, and create

opportunities for the offence of guys. So there must have been some

excellent defending. Let's take another bounce around the Scottish

matches under way, starting at Inverness, up against Kilmarnock,

the visitors still on top? They are, Inverness, up against Kilmarnock,

it is still 1-0. It was a bright start from the visitors and they

were rewarded. McKinsey's cross into the box angling towards Coulibaly.

Barry McKay barged the striker to the ground. Temp are picked his spot

and just beat the keeper who got a touch -- Coulibaly picked his spot.

Later you thought Coulibaly would score a second but the ball went

straight at the goalkeeper. A chance was gone. Inverness did work their

way back into it with some efforts, but they have lacked a spark. There

is a chance for Inverness now, driven to goal, but blocked away.

They have lacked spark going forward today for long spells. Tyson looked

like he could tap home earlier but he got ahead of the ball. Visitors

still look a threat when they come forward. Doran has come on for Ross

Draper but nothing has really happened. Kilmarnock are looking for

back-to-back wins, still very much in control. Back to the championship

for us and back to East End Park Scott Bailey has news of a goal? And

its Hibs who have finally managed to get themselves on the scoresheet

this afternoon. James Keating 's has their goal, coming in from the

right-hand and unleashing a left foot drive. It looked as though it

took a decisive deflection. That will not worry Hibs, they've been

struggling to find the target in recent weeks, just three goals in

their five matches prior to this. Top scorer Jason Cummings, top

marksman in the championship, starting on the bench this afternoon

as Neil Lennon shook things up. But it's been a case of two fast two

furious for him during long spells of this game. Although thankfully

the match has been a lot more entertaining than the movie of that

name was. Hibs with attempts from free kicks as their main efforts on

goal in a frustrating first. Dunfermline, who have struggled for

results themselves recently, pressed hard and drove into every challenge,

didn't let them settle into the ball, and managed to take the lead

on 21 minutes as a controversial penalty, the referee spotting a push

on the back of Ashcroft as he contested a cross. Higginbotham

converted the penalty. Hibs really lost the plot and lost their

concentration in the wake of the complaints about that penalty, they

were torn apart, it really could have been 2-0 at that point, but

there was a fine save in the Hibs goal to keep them in the game.

Keating 's has brought them right back into it after 56 minutes. Well

accredited as an own goal, there, Mixu. Hibs having struggled in

recent weeks, Ayew surprised they are wading through treacle at the

top? It's been a tricky spell. But maybe today they'll get a result and

go on. I feel that during the course of the season they will run away

with the championship. Do you agree with Mixu? I think it's going to be

a lot tighter now that we've seen Dundee United winning today as well.

If Hibs don't get four points, that brings them closer as well. The

championship is just as tight as the SPF fell. It is too tight to predict

what will happen next. Some eyebrows were raised when Cummings was not on

the team sheet. Were you surprised? A little bit but obviously he's

still young and learning. It's probably a little bit of a test for

him and Neal probably wants to see the type of reaction that he can

get. No doubt he'll have a part to play and we might just see that

name, crossed the scoresheet. Next up, Alistair Lamb and watching

Partick Thistle against Ross County in the Premiership, any significant

updates? No addition to the scoreline, still 1-0. Partick

Thistle still looking for their first win since the opening day of

the season, a run that hasn't prevented Alan Archibald being

sought after by Shrewsbury Town during the week. Alan Archibald

insists he's got unfinished business here. And certainly he'll be looking

to get the monkey off the back and end the eight-game winless run. They

are on course to do it and there is nothing Ross County have done that

seems to threaten them. But Partick Thistle fans have seen this movie

too often to start getting too complacent about that. They lead by

a penalty which was scored in the first half by Sean Welsh after Chris

Doolin was fouled by Ryan Dell. They've had a couple of under

chances, but just a few moments ago Craig Curran hit the post at the

other end. Threatening for the first time in the match. It is too close

to call at the moment but Partick Thistle are certainly in the

ascendancy. Interesting point Alistair raises, Alan Archibald,

even though his team are struggling, only one win in the league before

today, and yet Alan Archibald is a wanted man. Yeah, I think people

have noticed that on very limited resources he's done a pretty good

job, there. And not the cheering of managers in the league, the leaks

collectively down south mean there are always opportunities. I was

surprised he did not take the money. That being said, I think most

Partick Thistle fans, he's very popular with them and whatever, and

they are doing well today. Ross County are in a very, very, very

sticky period in the club's history. They lost William Boyce to a

long-term injury earlier in the season. That means now that a guy

that was guaranteed to get them to or three goals in a month is not

there. And that's very difficult to replace. So it's a tough old world

for them. One thing you would say about Partick Thistle, I notice

young Brian Edwards again having a decent game there, it's really good

to see a good Australian footballer back in the divisions again, we

don't have enough of them! I was watching your face thinking, where

is he going with this? Heading to Somerset Park, airy United against

Queen of the South in the championship, the honest men still

ahead? They are. Not quite as warm as Australia here but certainly

hotting up if you are an air United fan. A long-range effort from care

need the difference here. One of the players was just taken out. But no

foul, says the referee. Queens had dominated the first half with the

bulk of possession, two shots on target, the only two shots of the

half it has to be said. Stephen Dobbie forcing a save from Fleming.

The goalkeeper sprang into life a moment later, blocking with his

feet. Airy United trying to stamp their authority on this one, but

they looked dangerous on the break they looked dangerous on the break

-- Ayr. John Barnes is watching Falkirk against greater overs. John,

anything further to add to the managerial misbehaviour? Mr Houston

is now behaving himself in the stands, I can tell you that. It was

a blistering start from Raith Rovers, opening couple of minutes. I

could have gone in front with an effort from Mark Stuart. It gone

beyond Maracana crack. Great save from Rogers who turned the ball

around the post. From the resulting corner, there was a fine header from

Mvoto, and Rogers tipped it over the crossbar. Raith Rovers got the

breakthrough on 70 minutes, Ian Davies with a left foot shot -- Ian

Davidson. But within 60 seconds, Falkirk were back level, John Baird

taking advantage of a misunderstanding in the Raith

defence, getting in between the goalkeeper and Mvoto and slotting

the ball home. Mark Kerr really should have put Falkirk in front.

Set of the season as far as I'm concerned. Paul McCue with a shot,

parried by the goalkeeper, he just passed it into the path of Kerr,

goal at his mercy and he somehow screwed his shot wide of the target.

It was to prove costly because Mark Stuart, eight minutes before the

interval, put breakthrough furs to- one in front -- put Raith Rovers 2-1

in front -- Mark Stewart. Houston sent to the stand, introduced all

three substitutes. A shot blocked by Benedictus, and it remains to - one.

And off we go to Tannadice Park, Dundee United against Barton, time

to hear from Paul. And timing is everything. Dundee United go to

goals ahead, again a corner causing the problem. Scoring from point

blank range, Edjenguele. The first goal was an own goal coming after 52

minutes. As I say, Dundee United have gone two goals up. A little

harsh on Dumbarton. They forced two good saves from Cammy Bell in the

first half. He made a great diving save to turn the ball away from

Robert Thompson. But in terms of possession Dundee United certainly

deserving their lead. Getting a wee bit exciting in the championship

this afternoon. Mild-mannered Peter Houston, wouldn't save you to a

goose, sent to the stands. You know what it's down like on the

touchline. I'm surprised, what a gentleman, normally behaves well.

That shows the pressure gets to you. But no, it is a very tight league,

and every point is precious. Obviously they are getting beaten

today so they will be heated. The moment going into this, the real in

form team in the championship. Certainly. They have caught up to

the leaders, Queen of the South and Hibs, and he will be disappointed at

the minute, losing in this game. He'll feel there's a real chance to

get closer to these other two teams as well. As we've seen, there's been

so many different results at the moment. So it's going to be really

tight up there. Ayr, looks like they could hold on for a win, that would

be incredible, one defeat in seven. Yes, and one other thing I've

noticed as well, we are starting to see real inconsistency about barging

in the box and penalties given or not given. You are criticising the

referees! Hold on. There have been a number of incidents in the

championship, I'm defending Peter Houston, not a man that normally

swear that people. And I do think that is an inconsistency of this

season. I've now got to the stage where I don't even understand the

rules as it applies to that, having seen Falkirk concede three penalties

inside 20 minutes in one game. Now seen Falkirk concede three penalties

we are in a situation where there are incidents where clearly

penalties are given in one game and not the next. It must be infuriating

if you are a manager. Can you elucidate the rules on barging and

holding and pushing in the box, are they as conjugated as Stuart

maintains? They really are, and it depends on your interpretation. Each

individual referee will have their own look on it. And that's really

causing a problem, not just in our league but all the way across the

leagues in Europe. Obviously different cultures allow you to do

certain things in the box and different cultures a little bit

less. Something happen in the box at East End Park, a penalty for Hibs?

Yes, we had a penalty for Dunfermline in the first half which

was a little controversial to say the least, certainly Neil Lennon

thought so. No doubt about this one. Hibs had levelled a few moments ago,

now they have the opportunity to go in front from the spot. Lee Ashcroft

in the box, push into the back of in front from the spot. Lee Ashcroft

Andrew Scheer knee as he bore in on goal, only a yellow card for

Ashcroft. Chancellor Grant Holt to put Hibs into the lead, he sends the

goalkeeper the wrong way and batters it into the back of the net in front

of, well, a packed stand, absolutely packed with Hibs supporters, and he

goes off to celebrate. Having been a goal down, the league leaders are

leading at Dunfermline 2-1. Another goal, let's hear from John Barnes.

It is for the Rovers, Raith Rovers are now 3-1 in front. Declan McManus

was the man on the scoresheet. It was Mark Stuart with a low-cut back

and there was McManus, seven yards out, slotting it into the back of

the net. Four away games without a win, maybe going to change this

afternoon, 3-1. And let's head to Firhill and hear from Alistair

Lambert, an incident? Yes, Liam Linsey has been down in his own six

yard area, he is surrounded by Linsey has been down in his own six

medics at the moment. He was clattered into really by his

goalkeeper, Ryan Scully, as the ball came into the penalty area. He has

obviously come off worse in that particular collision. And he's been

down for several minutes. There are six or seven medical people

surrounding him, and they are trying to get him onto the stretcher as I

speak. But it's not looking great for Liam Linsey. Obviously we have

do hope it's not as serious as it looks as a result of the number of

people looking after him. But certainly his game here is finished

and Partick Thistle will be forced into a substitution. They are still

leading 1-0. I am sure Alister Walker was updated

to the afternoon. A fun and games continue over the afternoon. Listen

League Cup semifinals between Rangers and Celtic. We will talk

about that later. Before that, there is a derby of the Tayside rioted. St

Johnstone and Dundee meeting. So, gents, let's consider this one. Your

beloved Saints. Yes, we lost at home to Kilmarnock,

who St Johnstone pretty much bossed throughout the game, and that was

difficult to take, because there is a presumption among St Johnstone

fans that we are not nearly as good with the bottom six teams, but I

think... Do you have a goal that two no, that

was the one from that game. I am trying to put it out of my mind and

forget it! The point is that, if Saint Johnstone were to win their

bottom six games as well as they seem to do against the bigger teams,

there would be a more consistent team across the season. But going

into a derby against Dundee, it matters not a last two Dundee fans.

They don't like St Johnstone, but they don't consider us to be really

they're kind of rival team. That is Dundee Utd. St Johnstone have always

seen Dundee of the team they most want to beat, so the players are

under no doubt that this one has a bit of edge to it. So we will have

to see. I am unsurprisingly going for a home win.

Of course you are! He is going for a home win. We're going to Falkirk

right now. John Barnes, another gold?

Yes, a five goal thriller so far. Lee Miller has come on as a

substitute and popped up to score the second of the afternoon for the

bounce. Good ball in from the right-hand side. Positive header

into the back of the net from six yards out. It is now 3-2 to rate

Rovers. And plenty of life in the match at

Tannadice as well, Dundee against Bolton.

Another gold? Dumbarton have pulled back another goal. Thompson

converted, and ran into Cammy Bell as he managed to get the ball. We

look to be assisted to see if the offside flag would go up, and the

assistant from be dropped the flag and picked it up and ran towards the

halfway line. It looked a touch of sight, but Dumbarton have got one

back. 2-1 to Dundee United here. Thank you

Ray much. Back to tomorrow's games. I think the action might give it

more to Stuart's liking. Dundee's most recent match, a 2-0 defeat to

Hearts. Yes, they have lost their last four.

Something is really got to give in this game. But in terms of Dundee at

the moment, they are lacking a cutting edge up top. He looks like

he needs a bit of support up there at the moment as well. Goals are not

aplenty in the Dundee side. If they are going to change their fortunes,

they will have to find them from somewhere. At the start of the

season, I was full of hope for Dundee.

I thought this could be a season where they claim of the table, but

it has kind of gunpowder shaped? Yes, they lost a very influential

players over the summer. With attacking. And looking back, he is a

goal-scorer, but he is straightaway ready for the Premier League, and I

have got a feeling that he will grow and develop and he will score goals

for Dundee. It has been a sticky start, because of these reasons. The

season will tell us whether they improve. They have still got

chances. The league is so tight, one loss could take you straight back to

the back of the pack, so a very important match.

Stop smiling! Last season, Dundee's problem was too many draws. Those

draws have just turned into defeats? Yes, I think Mixu makes the clear

point, he knows that the loss of Stewart, in particular, but also

Hemmings, in terms of goals, that they were two big losses were

Dundee, and with all the best respect to the players that have

come in, they were never going to hit the ground running, and what

they have lost has kind of send them backwards again. I do not totally

agree with Scott's analysis of St Johnstone and what he would consider

to be patchy. I think because he is from Sydney, he does not like Perth!

So, Dundee struggling for goals. Not so, Raith Rovers. They have scored

another this afternoon. John Barnes, 4-2 against Falkirk?

Gilmartin acknowledges very well indeed. Similar to last week St

the game and a situation where they have won just once in eight and a

that, what a great little strike. You might think that is obvious, but

in the first half, very similar position, Gary Fleming had a chance

they made no mistake. A foot right through the ball, making it 2-1 to

Dundee. To their credit, Dumbarton got into the game after 73 minutes.

The cross looked offside, but the assistant referee was happy with

that. Dundee have come closest through Nick Mandeville. Dumbarton

now trying to give everything to get back into this. They have not won

away from home since December 20 15. At the moment, that run looks like

it will continue. So, all square there. Hibs ahead of

Queen of the South. They are 1-0 down at Ayr United, so that would be

a fourth match without a win for them after an incredibly hot start

to the season. Yes, and that surprises me a little

bit. I had this feeling about them that this would keep going,

certainly, until the New Year. But this division, we will be talking

about this, so I don't think we should think about anybody

absolutely dominating this division. I don't think that Queen of the

South have the capacity to hurt people, and I think that they have

the best natural goal-scorer in the division and Stephen Dobbie.

United going well, at home to Dumbarton. They're all players

steadily climbing up? Very important. If it stays like

this, they would go second in the league. That is fantastic, and shows

how tight the leaders. Not a lot of gold outside these places, but they

go second and take sides. Looked like a good and important

result for Raith Rovers after a slight wobble?

Yes, I think they have done a great job this season. Obviously tough

after the season they had, and there is a goal!

Looks like a goal for Caledonian Thistle there. A bit of its prize as

well, because come on cam or less dominated those proceedings.

Let's find out more about the goal from Martin Bowlen, our man watching

it. It is a goal for Inverness. A close

range finish, a real scrappy one, bodies in the box. It fell to him

and forced him over the line. I have just looked down at Lee Clarke, and

he looks absolutely sick, after what has been a really good performance

for Kilmarnock. They suddenly find themselves level.

Well, you can understand why he is sick.

They have put so much effort into this game, they have been such a

solid unit all game, and they have pretty much dominated the game.

Inverness haven't really had any hopes. They have probed and passed

it, but to no avail. It is a long-distance shot and not really

getting into Kilmarnock's box up until now, and they get their

reward. He will be delighted with that.

Absolutely, after a sticky start the season, they have found their form

now, and going strong. But kill my neck have on many occasions

displayed goal-scoring possibilities from midfield, which is impressive.

The midfield players impressed their qualities. They are known for their

passing ability and how they want to pass and create chances to batting.

Joe Marler Cammell and eight of them will. An important goal for Thistle.

Looks like a point at least there at Firhill. Thistle one up and into the

latter stages of that one. What you have seen, Scott, leaving hold on in

match? May have been the more dominant

side, but I think if you ask any Thistle fan at the moment, they have

seen this time and again this season, and it will be over until

that final whistle is over for them. I would probably say at the moment,

if Thistle should win this game, it only takes one opportunity, and Jim

McIntyre will be praying he get that opportunity. They had not scored for

four and a half games now. That will be a very late game as

well. I think there will be five or six

minutes of added time above Beach additional three minutes, so that

one will be a result. Stuart mentioned that Boyce was missing.

The Baylor to flit in attack without him?

It is difficult, because we were taught about it after barely. How

many games can you say that they have actually played in the last

year and half? Either one or the other has been injured, so it is

They haven't shown that yet, but certainly, the opportunities are

this morning was saying that as long as they cross into the box, you

think they will be all right. Is that something they have not done

today? Yes, they have not had much

opportunity. I think that was one opportunity at the post to come into

the box. A low shot from the edge, and it has hit the left-hand post.

Apart from that, they have not really have much to talk about in

terms of delivery in the box, and without voice being in there with

Karen at times, it really does Leave a lot more isolated, and does not

like to get in the box. He likes to be the creator, so they are

certainly missing out a lot with Graham, who has now gone to Hibs as

well. They have lost an asset in terms of physicality.

A judge there from Kilmarnock? I think we have all changed our

assessments of their season in the last couple of weeks. I think that

would be fair. They can give your earlier point, a

lot of people have been critical of the decisions of Lee Clarke in

ending the season, the purgation of bringing in a whole new squad of

players, many of them unknown, many of them young, many of them coming

up from places in England where they have not proven themselves in

Scotland, but gradually, and gradually, he is saving together a

team, this could win this week still. They had been set from the

post they just have, and I think Kilmarnock will probably get at

least a point out of this game, so you are starting to look at them as

being... I think they will be the answer lay team that will be

destined to go down. -- aunt Sally. Very few people would put money on

that. In that I can experiment he is

conducting at Kilmarnock. Very brave, quite risky?

Yes, I think he realised he had to make a whole set of chances there.

He has done that, and he is working with the players to get them to play

the way he wants, and they get good results in turn. So all credit to

that. That is excellent, and that is good management for you. You have to

be brave to put so many players out the box. Those players don't

necessarily have experience in the SPL, and the matches here are faster

than in England. Maybe not as physical, but certainly the tempo,

it is a faster game here. So the game has taken a calculated risk.

But that tells me that there is work being done at the training ground,

and they can get their results. Whatever they are doing on the

training ground at Somerset Park, it seems to be bearing fruit. There has

been a win this afternoon for Ayr United at home to Queen of the

South. This was the first of the afternoon's full-time result will

Yes, a thrilling encounter which ended with Raith Rovers winning by

4-2, a double from Mark Stewart, one-time Falkirk Avery, but he was

the man who really was the 's oration for Raith Rovers today. Ian

Davidson was the man who put them in front, and within 60 seconds, John

Beard had levelled after he punished for defending between the goalkeeper

and defender. Mark Stewart then got his first of the day. Eight minutes

before the interval, with a fine effort, a header from close range.

Then he turned provider in the 72nd minute, serving up the opportunity

for Declan McManus to make it 3-1. Falkirk's substitute pulled a goal

back in 36 minutes. That was 2-1 at that stage. But McManus wrapped up

the scoring a few minutes later. It finished here the Falkirk Stadium

4-2 to Rovers. Paul Mitchell can confirm the score

from Dundee United against Dumbarton at Tannadice.

It has been pretty in pink for Dundee United this afternoon,

although they have think tops, their problems are not solved.

Scott Fraser had the post after six minutes when he should have scored

will stop early pressure from Dundee United. Dumbarton struck back. Cammy

Bell got down to run the ball away. Saving well from Robert Thomson's

clever header. Alan Martin was beaten on the half hour, but Mark

Doherty hit the header of the line. However, the header in the second

assistant dropped it, picked it up and raced to the halfway line.

Dundee United looking slightly uncomfortable as Dumbarton threw

it was a bit of a bunch of going on now. Things have spilled over in the

nine seconds into the fourth minute of stoppage time. We will see what

Alan Newell will do that. I will go on to talk about that mess. Just a

minute later... There is a straight red card. There are so Jamal a

players, I can't quite make out who it is. -- such a melee of players. I

think it is a Dunfermline player who is walking off. In fact, it is a

Dunfermline player who has been dismissed. Michael Moffat, on as a

past his own goalkeeper at that point, and then, Hibs managed to get

a penalty at 65 minutes. It was Ashcroft who won it at one end. A

push Andrew Shinnie, and Gary Hill scoring his second goal for Hibs,

converting that, and then a Joe Mattok last few seconds here. We had

that goal converted by the substitute, and then the red card,

so it is 3-1, and the full-time whistle has just gone. 3-1 to Hibs

at full-time. Full-time at Firhill now. It

finished 1-1 between Partick this'll and Ross County. Chris Buckler,

having a chat with the referee. I don't know what that is about, but

he scored the equaliser. Let's get more details. Yes, he might have

been speaking to the referee because he fell just before he equalised

that the he was bundled over inside the penalty area.

On this occasion, the referee did not blow. He had blown in the first

half in favour of them, allowing them to put themselves in front of a

goal that looked a long time like it would be a goal that brought an end

to this'll's eight match winless run. Alas for them, that is now a

nine match winless run, as they were taken back in injury time. Had Sean

Welsh converted that penalty in the first half, they dominated the most

something else! Yes, I think there was another

incident here. I think he was involved in a number of different

things when he was taught the referee, and not least the patterns

that Motherwell offered them as a wage!

He has got it in for you today! That is a valuable goal, valuable point

for County, the way things have been going.

Absolutely. They almost won it. After they had scored that

equaliser, they could easily have won it. It was a difference in what

happened before, and so, you know how goals change games, with

confidence of things like that. I think they could have been home and

dry. But Partick this in the end of the day wanted a draw.

Thistle getting a point at home to Ross County moves than one point

Caledonian Thistle and Kilmarnock. A good day for Hibs, they are three

points clear at the top of the table, good win for them today.

Three clear of Dundee United and Queen of the South. No gain for

bottom club St Mirren today. Morton were in League Cup semifinal

action. Brechin City a point clear at the

top of League 1. Stennis near our four points adrift

of Queens Park. Here's a look at League 2, no games

there, but I just thought Forfar fans might like to gloat, three

points clear with a game in hand. Here comes the Premier League. Top

of the table makes good reading if you are an Arsenal fan, a point

clear at the top over Manchester City, yet to play this weekend.

Backmarkers in the English championship, Rotherham United, five

behind Wigan Athletic. Cardiff City in the bottom three. Let's get some

more details of the matches in England this afternoon, starting at

the Emirates, let's get the details. It is Arsenal 0-0, two points

dropped without a doubt for the home side, their seven-game winning

streak is over. A day when they never quite hit the high is that

we've seen in recent weeks, but great credit should be passed to

Middlesbrough, a real fighting point. Decent chances of their own,

Gaston Ramirez hitting the woodwork. Traore it was excellent. Victor

Valdes was busy in the Middlesbrough goal. Ozil was offside late as he

turned it in. Arsenal do go top, but you have to ask, would the would-be

champions have found a way to win? Arsenal didn't. Burnley at home to

Everton, Damian Johnson was there. Extraordinary victory for Burnley.

Winning 2-1. They've been second best all afternoon. Took the lead

against the run of play when Sam Vokes scored a tap in. Everton

equalised with a clinical strike from Yannick Bolasie. The Burnley

keeper Tom Heaton kept them in it with a string of brilliant saves.

Held on for a batting point. Burnley got the winner. Breathless stuff,

here. Last season 's champions Leicester have been struggling in

the league this season but not so today, good victory at home to

Crystal Palace. Normal service appears to have been resumed at the

King Power Stadium, 3-1 winners, Leicester, relatively comfortable

with it. Three good goals. An unstoppable drive from Musa had them

in front. Just before half-time. It was 2-0 thanks to Okazaki, and

Christian Fuchs does not score many, but the keeper had to pick that one

out. Crystal Palace showed a little but it was far too late. Cabaye got

them a consolation goal but that's all it was. Schmeichel saved

Leicester when he had to. A glimpse of the old Leicester here. West Ham

and Sunderland have been struggling. There was a win for one of them

today. Unbelievable scenes here at the London stadium. Heartbreak for

David Moyes. Winston Reid on five minutes from the edge of the area in

what was basically the last kick of the game. West Ham had dominated the

match but up until then Sunderland had defended well. Will that banish

the issues at the London stadium? Slaven Bilic will certainly help so.

Still no win for David Moyes in the Premier League. His side remain

rooted to the bottom. Not been the best of times for either Hull or

Stoke recently, they were in action this afternoon watched by Vicki

Sparks. Spoke of won 2-0, securing their 100th Premier League win

thanks to Shaqiri's double, the second was a precise bottom corner

free kick. Could have been more. Hull were second-best throughout.

Five defeat in a row for them and they fall into the relegation zone.

Stoke are out of the bottom three. Bit of argy-bargy after the final

whistle which saw Evan Friend booking three Stoke players. They

won't mind too much, winning 3-0. Time for something completely

different, the Scottish Cup second round, the juniors were at home to

Cove Rangers from the Highland yes, welcome over here at Bonnyrigg.

This was a clash of the titans between Bonnyrigg Rose and the

Highland league champions Cove Rangers. It almost didn't happen

because at 12:30pm to Cove Rangers team bus broke down just at the

Edinburgh bypass. Gearbox issues, I'm told. We've all suffered that at

some point in the past. But they arrived and the game got underway,

albeit delayed kick-off. It has finished 2-1 to Bonnyrigg Rose. Drab

first half, but then the game lit up with a five-minute spell of goals in

the second half. 69 minutes Bonnyrigg went in front, the

substitute making an immediate impact by winning a penalty, Hoskins

scoring confidently. They were pegged back by Cove Rangers, Johnny

Smith converting at the back post. At immediately again it was

Bonnyrigg taking advantage on 70 minutes. Andrew Kit with a screamer

into the top corner and they went wild celebrating that one. Bonnyrigg

held on and it's them who go into Tuesday Bulls third-round draw. I've

just been into the dressing room at Bonnyrigg and I can confirm they are

absolutely jubilant. Can't believe he didn't comment on the crowd. I

think there might have been a misprint, there! A week which. Good

luck to Kenny, I hope he can avoid the crowds on his way home. There

will be a big crowd tomorrow at the second League Cup semifinal. We can

focus our minds on that one. Who will face Aberdeen next month? You

will it be Celtic? You'll have your Radio 2 got in. Will it be Rangers,

disagree with our studio guests. Let's start with a reminder of when

they met in the Premiership only a matter of weeks ago. Convincing win

for Celtic, 5-1 on the day. Massive win. Obviously going into this game

I think it will be completely different. I don't think this will

have any bearing. In saying that there will be some scarring on the

Rangers side but they can take some confidence from last time they

played Celtic at Hampden Park in defeating them. I really do believe

it will be a tighter affair than the last occasion. Little bearing, says

Scott, do you agree, Mixu? I don't think Rangers will open up too much.

Rangers want to to defend solidly. They do not push full-backs forward

that much. The midfield will help support their defence much more than

at Celtic Park when they were open. And the pace of Celtic really did

the damage. They have some really pacey players, can they cope with

that pace? I don't think so. So they need a full effort from the whole

team to defend against them. Therefore I think there are changes

in how Rangers will approach this game. They will be more cautious. A

painful lesson at Celtic Park for Rangers, and one to take heed of? No

question. Mixu is right in the sense they will have to say we cannot lose

five goals. They will go in with a greater level of caution. Against

the backdrop, also, of having probably lost two of their marquee

signings, which is bad news for them. Particularly Crenshaw who

started to come into a really good game. Are simmering tensions about

to boil over here? I think it's when you lose a player of that quality,

that has an impact on the self-confidence of a team, and they

are coming off, they have to go in much more cautiously and that makes

them. I just think the continuity from our season is showing once

again with the players that they actually had last year. Tried to

change it up with the so-called marquee signings, gave Mark

Warburton a bit of a problem in terms of trying to fix them into his

philosophy and shape. The boys that were there already have already

bought into that, know exactly what he wants and I think we'll see the

majority of those players who played last year, they'll be playing

tomorrow without question. And also when you look back at the Scottish

Cup semifinal last season, how Rangers played in that first half,

they really used their mobile players well and worried the Celtic

centre halves. They took a 1-0 lead. So that kind of approach. If Rangers

can pass and keep the ball and make sure up front they have mobile

players. Kenny Miller's workrate is always guaranteed. The other players

around him can run behind the Celtic defence. I think Rangers can worry

the Celtic defence, no question. Scott Sinclair did not play last

year but he did play the 5-1 win over Rangers and we can hear what he

has to say about it. It was great. Nobody can tell you how it is going

to go or how the experience is until you've gone through it. It was an

unbelievable experience with the fans, electric at Celtic Park, it

was great. 5-1 victory, first all firm game, how will it impact this

weekend? I don't think the fans are respecting another 5-1 but I'm sure

we'll go out and give it our best shot. But the most important thing

is winning the game. If we win 1-0 our fans will be just as happy as

5-1. As long as we get the job done, everybody will be happy. Will he be

one of the key men for Celtic tomorrow? Without question. He's

been phenomenal since coming up here. Manchester City didn't sign

him at one point because he was rubbish. He's player of top quality.

In terms of wide men, he is probably the best Celtic have seen since the

likes of Aiden McGeady, that type of player that gets people off their

seats, runs at people and beats them. That's been a massive

difference for Celtic this year, players in wide areas, him and

Forrest, who have been on fire, they can go past players. Mixu? And he

can finish. He likes coming inside the pitch, he has a direct approach

like we saw in that goal, running behind the defence. That's exactly

the problem he poses to the defences. Fantastic signing. And who

do you think will be key for Celtic tomorrow, can you identify one

player as pivotal? Well it's difficult to say exactly one player.

Certainly the offensive players for Celtic. Dembele has been scoring all

the goals, maybe Sinclair. But for Rangers I would say Halladay.

Because that's sitting midfield role becomes very important. Defensively

to support the centre halves, the defence, and also when they win the

ball, he is a link between the defence and the strikers. And if

Andy Halliday gets on the ball and uses it well and finds the strikers

who are mobile, Rangers could play well. And defensively he has to

really make sure that they are balanced all the time, and does not

go forward too far. Make sure Celtic cannot counterattack. This old

stage, Kenny Miller, will he be vital for Rangers tomorrow? You

never write him off, do you? I think the opposition scored an absolute

cracker of a goal, absolute brilliant goal, one of the best of

the season already. And he drags defenders around the pitch with him,

does a lot of work. He can obviously still finish at the highest level so

you never write him off. I agree with Mixu, it is a game that will be

played at pace and it's a big, open Park. It's a big occasion and I

think pace will win through. It may well be Dembele that is key to this.

But Michael O'Halloran, don't rule him out either, you could come on in

the second half and burn anybody for pace. Dembele identified, Scott, you

outcome of the match? We touched on Sinclair and Dembele has been

phenomenal as well this year. Turk him a little while to get going. I

think once he finally got that first goal for Celtic, he has really made

that position his own now. We'll talk about Lee Griffiths who scored

40 goals last year and cannot get in the Celtic team. That's one I have

not ruled out for tomorrow. Lee Griffiths could play instead of

Dembele, that is still a positivity. I think Mixu touched on who will be

important for Rangers in terms of Andy Halliday. I think that's going

to be a great tussle, who can get on top in that area. Because I think in

that area of the pitch it will be vital. In those areas between the

lines, feeding those passes to the wide men and strikers, Rangers could

be in all sorts of trouble. You mentioned oh Halloran, that is an

interesting one, and I think it could be positive for Rangers, to

put Michael O'Halloran on the right wing against Tierney, to stop him

going forward, and when he does go forward, he has the pace to match

it, and can counterattack. So that is interesting and would be a

positive move from Rangers. The more games he gets, the more St Johnstone

get in fees as well. Very quickly before we move on, Mixu, who will

prevail? So difficult to say. We'll come back to him! I'd go Rangers

after penalties. I think it's going to be a really tight game. There

will be goals in the game for both sides. I'll go for a 1-1 but for my

old club to nick it in extra time. Does that give the chairman of the

panel but casting vote? I've got a great respect for Dundee but I'll go

to- one St Johnstone. Excellent. Well, whoever prevails at Hampden

Park, we know who they will be facing in the final on the 27th of

November, it will be Aberdeen, who beat Morton 2-0 at the National

November, it will be Aberdeen, who Stadium. We can hear from both

managers after the match, starting with the victorious Derek McInnis.

The team that I picked to start the game was a team I thought would win.

I was reluctant to change. Sometimes when you play against a team who are

working so hard to put out fires and keep us away from the goal,

sometimes if you keep possession, keep moving them side to side,

testing their organisation, something will come and thankfully

we came through today. I think from then on in we opened up more

opportunities. I think Morten deserve a lot of credit but our

players deserve a lot of credit for having the wherewithal to keep going

and do the job well. And the best team won. I was absolutely thrilled

with the performance and the attitude of the players. We don't

have an Adam Rooney in our team and we don't have the experience.

Obviously anybody who watches games of football at any level, the top

teams wear you down by passing, they keep changing the play, keep the

pitch wide, your boys are shuffling across the pitch and eventually

maybe sometimes concentration just catches up with them. But I've been

told the first goal was offside. And if it is then it's going to stick in

my throat. Believe me if there is an offside call in a big game tomorrow,

they will give it. He seems a bit miffed. Yes, and I can understand

that. They had a good performance today. They really played well and

showed exactly what they can do. When you look at the league table,

Morton are not in the play-off positions it. But I wouldn't go too

far beyond them. They have every chance, they are organised, they

have pace, they have goal-scorers. We mentioned it earlier, yes, it was

a great performance, everybody says how well they played and all that,

but they wanted to win that game. And you can see that, and that's the

way it has to be. Aberdeen back in a big final. Yeah. That was an

important result for them today. I wouldn't say it takes any pressure,

if anything they are expected to do well this year. To get to another

cup final for Derek McInnis and Aberdeen is fantastic for them. The

ride continues. In terms of Morton, Jim Duffy has done at in job. I

really like what he has done in terms of his positivity. He plays

4-4-2 and that is brave to do that today. Had they scored just before

half-time, then who knows what we might have been saying at the end.

Keen to page should be at two Morton's efforts? Absolutely. I saw

the chance Scott was talking about and one of the things I felt, he

seems in the last year to have got much physically bigger as a player.

He played for the Scotland under 17 team and he looked like a stick thin

guy. This time he looks like he's been in the gym. There could be

something there for a young Scottish player of the future and I wish him

very well indeed, but he should have lifted it over the keeper. Well

gents, I'm afraid that's about it for today. One of our guests is
