Not so long ago this was a seaside club built on sand. On the brink of

slipping away forever. But there is history here and tradition as well.

Reminders around every corner. The recent past is in shaping the

David, they place on the gorgeous football, but not quite managing to

put together a really consistent run. They have a really good squad

and you look at the bench today, that tells you the level they have

got. But I think they have been a bit open defensively. They have top

players, Phil Jagielka, Leighton Baines, Seamus Coleman. But you are

right they have been very good going forward. They could have three

England players defensively, Stones, forward. They could have three

Jagielka and Leighton Baines. It is a mystery how they concede so many.

well. You have been here from the box all the way to the top, do you

have to pinch yourself as to how fast things have turned around? Yes

to a degree, it has happened quickly. We had a plan that we

wanted to be successful climbing the league, it does not always work as

you planned. This is another big game in recent history. The factors

it is against your boyhood club does that make it extra special? No, just

the occasion itself, the chance to get in the quarterfinal, huge moment
